History[]
There are many conflicting tales of the origin of The Scarlet King. Some say he's a being from the abyss, others say he's an Old God, others say he's a denizen of the realm of Algadda. These are all false and true at the same time. His past changes as reality does. He is the embodiment of the tension between the modern and premodern; human suffering personified. He exists as a response to the pain of existence and modernity. He is, essentially, a sentient idea. Because the SCP Foundation exists, the Scarlet King will always exist as an antithesis to all that it stands for: society, logic, reason, safety. He cannot be classified.
