History

A former ninja from the Village Hidden in Sand, Sasori lost his parents at a young age to Kakashi Hatake's father Sakumo Hatake and was cared for by his grandmother Chiyo. Though Chiyo attempted to reach her grandson by teaching him to build puppets, it only made Sasori cold and distant as he created puppets so deadly that he was called "Sasori of the Red Sand". But in due time, desiring to create art that can last for eternity, Sasori secretly devised a way to convert the corpses of humans into puppets so he can access the abilities they possessed. Sasori left his village after secretly murdering the Third Kazekage and making him into a human puppet, later creating a puppet body to house his heart and achieve his ideal sense of immortality. Sasori later joins the Akatsuki some after when defeated by Konan in combat.

Sasori's body, later called "Scorpion", is actually a puppet designed in the likeness of his original body. Sasori also outfits his body and his numerous puppets with poison.
