Samus Aran Vs. Fox McCloud is the first episode of ThunderStar30's Death Battles, featuring Samus Aran from the Metroid series and Fox McCloud from the Star Fox series.

Metroid Vs. Star Fox! Two intergalatic peace keepers go toe to toe in a gun frenzied fight to the bitter end!
Interlude[]
Wiz: The galaxy, an unknown vast array of stars. Not much is know aside from the possiblity of othe, alien life.
Boomstick: But some are willing to risk it all...even for a buck!
Wiz: Indeed, as today, a bounty hunter will face off against a mercenary.
Boomstick: Samus Aran, the Expert Bounty Hunter and Bane of Space Pirates.
Wiz: And Fox McCloud, Leader of Star Fox.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Samus Aran blasts through DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: At the young age of three years old, Samus Aran lived a relatively peaceful life in Earth Colony K-12. But, as with all fictional characters, things went wrong.
Boomstick: By wrong, we mean a bunch of Space Pirates raided the colony and killed her parents, and everyone else. Kinda leaving her an orphan.
Wiz: Rescued by two members of the declining Chozo race, Samus is raised as one of their own. Infusing her with Chozo DNA to survive the harsh conditions of their home planet Zebes, and equipping her with an advanced suit of Powered Armor, the Chozo raise Samus as a warrior who will follow in their duty as protectors of the galaxy.
Boomstick: And what better way to do that then becoming a bounty hunter? Hey, she's gotta make money somehow.
SAMUS ARAN
Aliases: Newborn, Entrusted One, The Hatchling, The Hunter, Space Cadet, Princess, Sammy, Lady Can and Will Punch a Space Pirate Usually mistaken for a male
Wiz: Whenever Samus is going on a life threatening mission, she uses the Varia Suit, which halves incoming damage. It features life support systems, protects her from cold, heat, and acid, and the thrusters on the back give her extra mobility, which she uses for dashing.
Boomstick: But she can get an upgrade with the Gravity Suit, which reduces damage by 70%! It let's her move underwater without being slowed down, gives her complete protection from magma, and allows her to ignore low or extreme hgravity! But we can't forget her best suit, THE ZERO SUIT--
Wiz: We are NOT using the Zero Suit.
Boomstick: What?! Why not?!
Wiz: Research shows Samus, in the Zero Suit, is actually far weaker. And she prefers to be in her Power Suits.
Boomstick: Damn it...
Wiz: Her Suit gives her an Arm Cannon, which she can fire many projectiles out of.
Boomstick: Samus' weakest, and fastest attack is the Power Beam. And by weak, I mean it can create large craters with one shot!
Wiz: With a upgrade, Samus can charge up her beams for massive damage. She can even drawn in items and attacks by charging.
Boomstick: The Spazer Beam shoots three normal beams at the same time, giving more damage to enemies!
Wiz: The Long Beam allows Samus' beams to travel longer distances.
Boomstick: The Wave Beam not only is stronger than the Power Beam, it also passes through obstacles!
Wiz: The Ice Beam freezes enemies solid upon contact, allowing Samus to shatter foes with a single strike.
Boomstick: The Plasma Beam not only passes through enemies, but lights them on fire! Though it's pretty short ranged...
Wiz: The Grapple Beam is a beam Samus uses to tether to objects. She can also use it to disarm them.
Boomstick: The Dark Beam fires blasts that trap any victim in dark matter, making them unable to move! And if she charges it, it turns into a mass of dark energy that encases foes and hardens into a brittle shell.
Wiz: The Light Beam fires blasts of light that ignites opponents. Chaffing it forms a mass of light energy that fires multiple beams of light in a shotgun-like effect.
Boomstick: The Annihilator Beam fires a hybrid blast of both light a dark energy, having both the abilities of the Light Beam and Dark Beam! It even homes in! Unless you charge it...where instead, it fires a blast that has an impressive radius!
Wiz: The Nova Beam is a powerful high-frequency beam used by the Space Pirates. Not only is it capable of bypassing durability, it can even phases through materials.
Boomstick: The Volt Driver fires quick-moving electrical blasts at a fast rate! If it's fully charged, it fires a slow-moving explosive sphere, and causes massive damage to a target when making contact!
Wiz: The Battlehammer fires a green arching projectile that explodes on contact.
Boomstick: Magmaul fires molten projectiles that bounce off stuff and explode after about three seconds. When charged, it fires a larger projectile that deals helluva lot more damage!
Wiz: The Shock Coil emits a short-ranged, continuous burst of concentrated, high-density neutrinos, which seek the nearest target.
Boomstick: The Jusicator fires supercooled plasma at absolute zero temperatures! It bounces off impacted surfaces, and fires threes shots at the same time when charged!
Wiz: The Imperialist fires a powerful, long ranged beam with incredible accuracy. However, it has a slow fire rate.
Boomstick: The Omega Cannon fires a powerful slow-moving ball of radioactive energy that has a timed detonation, and DEALS SHITLOADS OF DAMAGE! Oh, and it immediately explodes if it touches someone or something.
Wiz: But Samus' most powerful beam is the Hyper Beam. It hits with enough force to send Mother Brain's final form recoiling backwards, and goes through enemies, walls, and obstacles immune to the other beams.
Boomstick: Samus doesn't just only have beams, she's packing extra heat too! She's got 500 missiles to shoot at people that do more damage than her standard beams!
Wiz: The Super Missile is an even powerful one, and Samus has around 100 of them.
Boomstick: She's got Seeker Missiles too! These bad boys target up to five people at once, firing five at the same time! She can even five on ONE person!
Wiz: And if she fires a missile while charging a shot, she can pull off a Charge Combo. One of these is the Wavebuster, which is a combination of a missile and the Wave Beam. This fires a stream of electricity that paralyzes targets.
Boomstick: If she combines a Missile with the Ice Beam, Samus shoots the Ice Spreader, a powerful blast of ice that explodes on contact and makes fast-spreading layer of ice on foes!
Wiz: The Flamethrower is Charge Combo with Missile and Plasma Beam. Don't think this one needs explanation.
Boomstick: If she combines missiles and a Dark Beam, Samus fires the Darkburst, a slow-moving projectile that creates a small black hole!
Wiz: The Sunburst is a combination of the Missile and Light Beam. Samus fires a slow-moving projectile, if the projectile is close to a target it will fire rays of intense heat to an opponent that is within in reach.
Boomstick: The Sonic Boom is when she combines a Missile with the Annihilator Beam! She fires a fast-moving projectile that appears instantly in front of the target, and TEARS A RIFT IN SPACE TO HARM PEOPLE.
Wiz: Samus can only morph into a small sphere that can actually tear through enemies. This state is called the Morph Ball.
Boomstick: And she can even drop bombs as a ball! She even has Power Bombs which release heatwaves over a large radius!
Wiz: Just like her missiles, she can combine bombs with her beams. The Plasma Bomb is a combination of bomb and the Plama Beam. It creates four orbiting spheres of plasma for a while. The Ice Bomb is a combination of the bomb and the Ice Beam, in which four stars surround Samus, freezing anything that comes into contact. And the Wave Bomb is combination of the Wave Beam, where four charged shots fly around Samus in a wide X pattern that home in on enemies.
Boomstick: Other things she can do as a ball is use Boost Ball to propel herself at high speeds! She can use Spider Ball to stick to walls and ceilings and move around on them, and use the Screwattack which has waves of energy emit off her as she somersaults through the air, cutting through enemies with ease!
Wiz: With the Speed Booster, Samus runs at increasing speeds. It tears through anything in her path, and can even conserve her kinetic energy and release it to fly in any direction. This technique is called the Shinespark
Boomstick: She's got visors to keep up as well! The Combat Visor has a targeting system to keep track of enemies and shows where all foes are, the Scan Visor gives her information, and the Thermal Visor lets her find heat signatures from invisible or speedy does!
Wiz: Sensemove is a evasive maneuver that utilizes the jets on her armor. It allows Samus to immediately move out of the way of any oncoming attack, melee or projectile, and immediately follow up with a charged shot. The Lightning Armor surrounds Samus in green energy that neutralizes any damage taken, and increases the power of Samus' attacks as well.
Boomstick: The Beam Burst turns Samus' beams into a frickin' Gatling laser, firing them like crazy! And with Phaze Drift she can even SLOW DOWN TIME, AND SHE MOVES THROUGH IT WELL!
Wiz: Samus has on technique she saves for a last resort, which was taught to her by the Chozos; the Crystal Flash. If she has less than 50 energy left, and no remaining energy tanks, Samus can use up all her missiles, super missiles and power bombs to heal herself.
Boomstick: Samus is fast, catching bullets, breaking the sound barrier with Speed Booster, tags people with can dodge the light beam.
Wiz: She's fast enough to keep up with Ridley, who can move as fast as her gunship. Keep in mind, Samus' gunship can cross an entire galaxy in a short time. The distance between the CMa Overdensity and the Milky Way is 42.000 light- years (less than half the MW´s diameter) and was covered twice, which means that the low- end for Samus´ speed is...

Boomstick: She's also really, really tough. She survived Kraid crushing her, tanked a blast that blew a hole through a mountain, survived fights with Ridley and Dark Samus!
Wiz: Samus is strong enough to toss Zeta Metroids, and was able to pull Vorash out of lava,cwho weight approximately 88.9 tons. She managed to lift Kraid's foot off her, matched the strength of Ridley, and even condensed the entirety of Dark Aether into energy and used it to stabilize Light Aether.
Boomstick: Wait, like Ike's recovery? She's absorbing that?
Wiz: No. E in joules, equals Mass (in kg) times (299,792,458 m/s)^2. This is simple enough, as a lowball, we'll assume Dark Aether has the same mass as Earth; despite there existing multiple planets on Metroid having several hundred to nearly a thousand times greater density and mass than Earth. Any way, (5.972 × 10^24) kg * (299,792,458 m/s)^2 = 5.3673659 * 10^41 joules or 128.28312446 Tenatons of TNT equivalent. Divide that in half and you get 2.683683 * 10^41 joules or 64.1415619025 Tenatons of TNT equivalent. This is enough to obliterate a small star.
Boomstick: Damn! No wonder she's considered the most skilled hunter for the Galactic Federation!
Wiz: Although Samus isn't prefer. Emotional stress can make her suit malfunction, and had ammunition is limited, although can refill with sheer willpower alone.
Boomstick: Still, you shouldn't pick a fight with Samus Aran. Many have tried. None survived.
“Mother....Time to go!”
Fox McCloud makes a landing to DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: The Lylat System. A place where anthropomorphic animals inhabit the many planets, it was under the threat of someone dangerous; Andross.
Boomstick: Basically Andross did some disturbing shit as a scientist, and got booted to the planet Venom. He didn't really take it all that well, and eventually got an empire together.
Wiz: But the Lylat System had back up. The team of mercenaries named Star Fox set off to defeat Andross and save the day.
Boomstick: However......one of them were a dick. So James McCloud was the leader, but Pigma was actually WORKING with Andross! So he shot him down and James was gone!
Wiz: However, one survived. Peppy Hare managed to get back, and upon returning people found out what happened. Including James' son, Fox McCloud.
Boomstick: What an UNCREATIVE name.
Wiz: Years later, Fox would become the next one to be the leader of Star Fox, accompanied by Falco Lombardi and Slippy Toad.
Boomstick: Beware the Furry Force!
Fox McCloud
Nicknamed Star Fox by enemies Age: 27 Occupation: Mercenary Leader
Wiz: Fox usually fights via vehicles, mainly his Arwing. It can shoot out lasers that can be charged for more damage, and to home in on enemies, and can be upgraded to shoot two lasers at once. It has a supply of Smart Bombs to use as well. It can boost forward for more speed, and tilt to it's side to fit through tight passages. It can also perform a Aileron Roll to move quicker side to side and reflect projectiles.
Boomstick: It's called a BARREL ROLL, WIZ. It can also do a loop in the air to lose enemies on his tail, and hale a loop in order to turn around directly quickly!
Wiz: It has a speed of mach 4.2 in an atmosphere, and can even fly at warp speed. It's powerful enough to destroy metal spaceships and large robots, is more powerful than the Aparoid Queen, which could create a black hole, and can defeat Andross when he was empowered by the Krazoa Spirits. The Krazoa Spirits had enough power to main Sauria, which if not kept in check would've exploded and affect the entire Lylat System, according to General Pepper.
Boomstick: The Landmasrer is a tank that's slower, but it's more powerful than an Arwing. It can move at 207 skm/h, but it's lasers at Arwing speed! It can also shoot Smart Bombs and missiles, do barrel rolls and hover.
Wiz: The Blue Marine is used for underwater travel and can travel 116 skt/h. It is able to shoot lasers and torpedos.
Boomstick: Fox is actually a good martial artist! Even Smash kinda made it up, in the Star Fox Adventures manual they say Fox is a expert at martial arts.
Wiz: He's a incredible pilot, being able to even pilot Sharpclaw Speeders despite never even knowing it existed. And he can easily master weapons in a short period of time.
Boomstick: Let's move onto weapons! Fox has a Blaster, which has unlimited ammo. It shoot out laser blasts, and Fox can even charge it for a more powerful shot!
Wiz: The Plasma Cannon firs laser blasts much faster than his blaster. It also has unlimited ammo.
Boomstick: The Gatling Gun rapid-fires laser blasts like the Plasma Cannon, and is stronger up close! Too bad it's got limited ammo and is worse at long range...
Wiz: The Demon Sniper Rifle is a powerful sniper with a scope for hitting enemies at long-range. The Homing Launcher is a rocket launcher that can shoot homing rockets. Both of these have limited ammo.
Boomstick: McCloud also has grenades! And a Sensor Bomb!
Wiz: Once planted, the Sensor Bomb will spin and hover above the ground, its red light will glow, and it will release motion sensitive waves. Anyone within the radius of the waves will be bombed. The bomb "leaps" up an instant before it explodes.
Boomstick: He's also got this P.D.A. Device that can display the location of foes, and can even scan! He's even got Zoom Goggles to see from far-away!
Wiz: He has a Barrier Sphere that protects him from damage for 30 seconds as well.
Boomstick: Fox is strong enough to shatter a metal sword with his own sword, take down Sharpclaws and dinosaurs, and take down armored guards with kicks.
Wiz: He's tough enough to survive being zapped by multiple security drones, being slashed by a sword, and fighting the Aparoid Walker, a giant building sized robot. He can also survive blows from the Aparoid, which can destroy Arwings.
Boomstick: He can outran laser fire, outpace Aparoids, which keep up with the Arwings, and can run 200 meters in around 5 seconds.
Wiz: Fox has training from the Cornerian Academy, and has experience fighting on land and in vehicle les. He can create strategies against many different foes. This led to him stopping Aparoids, Andross, and and saving the Lylat System time and time again.
Boomstick: He does got limited ammo and most of his weapons though.
Wiz: Regardless, the Lylat System can rest easy when Fox McCloud is still around.
“Sorry to jet, but I'm in a hurry!”
Prelude[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set. We've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
Pre-Fight[]
Within the newly repaired Great Fox, inside rested the Star Fox team. After the events of the Aparoids, the teams had very few jobs lately.
The team's leader, Fox McCoud, walked across the halls, going to see his mentor, Peppy Hare.
“Hey Peppy. Are those injuries healing up?” Fox asked, with Peppy nodding with a smile. “A few more days, and the bandages can come off.”
The interaction was interrupted by an alert alarm going off. Fox grunted as he an Peppy headed to the briefing room, alongside Krystal, Falco, and Slippy.
“ROB, report!” Fox exclaimed, as ROB said “Incoming message from General Pepper.”
The hologram of a very old looking dog was shown. “Greetings, Star Fox. It has been awhile, hasn't it?”
Fox gave a smile and small nod. “It has.”
Falco, and the other hand, crossed his arms. “Okay, I'm pretty sure you didn't set off the alert for a chat. What's the issue this time?” His rudeness got him a glare by Fox.
“Hm. Very well.” General Pepper said. “Have you heard of Samus Aran?”
“The former bounty hunter turned terrorist. Who hasn't?” Fox noted, remembering the news.
“I can't believe she would resort to terrorism! She was a great hero but then she destroyed that base and planet...”"Slippy said, saddened.
“She has been rumored to have been moving through the Lylat System. I am afraid of what damage she could cause...” General Pepper worriedly stated. “Keep a look out for a purple ship.”
Fox turned to his team. “I'll head after her. You guys stick here until I call for back up.”
“What? Fox, she can kill you!” Krystal said in shock. “We have to all go!”
“And risk us ALL getting killed? Listen, if I do die, I want you guys to get her next.” Fox said with a determined look.
Nobody could change Fox's mind.
Meanwhile, Samus would be flying a ship over the Planet Katina. “We still have no luck. Nearly everywhere around the galaxy knows about what happen, and believe I'm a criminal.”
Adam, who was now an A.I. on the ship, gave a response. “Keep looking. Someone will understand.”
The conversation was interrupted by the ship being shot in the back.
Samus simply grunted and flew to the planet. Upon landing, Samus got out and looked at what shot her coming down: an Arwing.
When the Arwing landed, Fox jumped out, holding his blaster.
No words were exchanged.
They both knew why they were here.
Fight[]
Both Samus and Fox took aim and starting firing at one another, strafing as they went behind cover. Both charged their respectives weapons and came out of cover.
“Eat this!” Fox yelled as both fired their charged shots, the attacks barely missing their targets. Samus charged in, effortlessly running past the lasers from Fox's blaster.
With a swing of her arm cannon, Fox was knocked back before being blasted point blank by a Charge Shot. Grunting, Fox got up as Samus began to scan him.

Morphology: Fox McCloud
The leader of the mercenary for hire team Star Fox. He took over after his father James McCloud was killed on the planet Venom. He is a strong willed leader with an ever increasing love in a vixen named Krystal. Fox wields many explosives and firearms. Thread carefully.
Samus glared and started firing seeker missiles at Fox. He grunted, jumping back a bit and using the Plasma Cannon to fire at the missiles, before focusing on Samus yet again.
“Not too bad, but I'm not here to get blown up.” Opening fire, Samus turned into Morph Ball to avoid the laser fire. She went in between his legs, and set a bomb underneath him.
“What in the-?!” Fox went wide eyed and just barely leaped out of the explosion, before seeing Samus was nowhere. Holding onto his Blaster, Fox walked around, keeping guard....
And just barely avoided three lasers about to hit him. He kept dodging these lasers, even one made of Plasma.
Fox spotted Samus, and pulled out a Gatling Gun, running up the ramp to the building she was on. Samus decided to just get rid of the Gatling Gun, and after avoiding the lasers from it, used the Grapple Beam on it.
Fox's grip on the Gatling Gun was lost. When he looked up, a shot from the Volt Driver came to his face.
“AGGGGGHHH!”
The electric shots send Fox off the ramp, and onto the ground below. Samus used the Long Beam to shoot at Fox, but the Arwing Pilot rolled away just in time to avoid the shot.
Samus approached, and prepared the Battlehammer to shoot a projectile that exploded. Fox jumped back from the force, and quickly ran far as he could to whip out the Demon Sniper Rifle to try and snipe Samus.
Unfortunately for him...she was right in his face. Fox didn't even get a chance to shoot before Samus shoulder bashed him.
“Alright...if that's how you want to play it...” Fox immediately did a flip kick to hit Samus in the abdomen, managing to knock her back.
Samus skidded across the floor, but got up and and fired the Light Beam, Fox sliding underneath to give her a hard punch. Samus anticipated it, though, and caught his fist in time.
Fox grunted, before being thrown aside with mighty force. Samus then charged the Annihilator Beam, sending Fox into the distance.
Samus lowered her arm cannon, believing to have taken the win. She began to walk away...and then paused upon hearing a vehicle coming close.
She would use Sensemove to avoid a laser from the Landmaster, firing a charge shot...that would bounce off the tank with no damage.
“Let's Rock and Roll!” Fox said, starting to fire at her more. Samus kept jumping past the shots, and used the Imperialist shot to strike the tank, to no avail.
Samus used the Shock Coil in a attempt to shoot down the Landmaster. It didn't shoot it down, but it did somewhat slow...
Samus then used the Boost Ball to head towards the tank, and slithered up with the Spider Ball. She started using the Wave Beam to bypass the Landmaster exterior and hit Fox.
“Grah! What the-- How is she hitting me?”
Samus charged up the Ice Beam, and jumped off the Landmaster to fire at it. The Landmaster began to freeze, making Fox have no choice but to eject.
The moment Fox landed on his feet, he started making a run for his Arwing. Samus noticed this, and used the Speed Booster to charge at Fox...
But Fox turned around and fired with the Homing Launcher. Samus skidded to a halt and jumped aside to shoot at the missiles.
But, Fox had placed a well-placed Sensor Bomb right where she landed, resulting in a large detonation. Seeing that the coast was clear, Fox jumped into his Arwing to take off.
The smoke cleared, and Samus had survived the explosion. Looking up, she used Sensemove to avoid a plethora of laser shots from the Arwing.
“She's too fast...I've gotta get a lock on her!” Fox muttered, locking on Samus. The laser came out in twin shots, but Samus used the Lighting Armor to bypass it, and fired the Darkburst.
The Black Hole created from this attack made it hard for Fox to get moving, as he was at a risk of being sucked it. Samus then used the Grapple Beam to bring herself onto the Arwing, and prepared to fire at Fox's head in it.
“Oh no, you don't!”
Samus was thrown off focus by the Arwing doing a Barrel Roll, just as the black hole disappeared. As Samus was falling, Fox shot a Smart Bomb at her.
But just as the Smart Bomb was about to make contact...Samus used Phase Drift to slow down time....and grab the Smart Bomb and throw it back.
When time stopped slowing, Fox's eyes widen as he saw his own Smart Bomb coming directly AT HIM.
The resulting explosion destroyed the Arwing. Fox miraculously survived the explosion, but fell all the way to the ground below.
“...How did she do that...?” Fox muttered, getting up....
And was promptly shot by Samus's Nova Beam from a Beam Burst. The beam was powerful enough to rip through Fox's body, through the head, arms, torso...it would give one with trypopobia a huge fright.
Fox's lifeless body fell to the floor, as Samus stood straight. Without a word, she returned to her ship.
Best leave before things get worse.

Boomstick: Now that's a way to start and end a Death Battle!
Wiz: This fight was much more close than people give it credit for. Both had very even counters.
Boomstick: You see, Fox was actually the stronger and more durable one. He fought the Aparoids, those things that can destroy his Arwing! And keep in mind, the Arwing can handle a Solar System Level threat!
Wiz: Not only that, but Fox more experience with Martial Arts. But after that his other advantages kind of slow down.
Boomstick: Samus was much faster, keeping up with those who go 91,636.36... c! That's Massively Faster Than Light, much quicker than Fox.
Wiz: Not only that, but she has superior experience. While Fox has both vehicles and ground combat covered, Samus has trained since the age of three, and has been on far more adventures.
Boomstick: Sure, Fox DID have the Barrier Sphere, but it only lasts for 30 seconds. And with how quick Samus is, he won't be able to hit her while in it.
Wiz: Plus Samus has greater weaponry. Fox has lasers, while Samus has black holes, missiles, plasma, and much more. Fox has limited ammo...while Samus can refill via willpower alone.
Boomstick: And hell, Samus can slow down time! Nothing was saving Fox from that!
