Volume 1 Chapter 6! One Punch Man vs The Disasterous Life of Saiki K! Having all the power in the world makes life so unimaginably boring, so these two enjoy the little things in life and we're gonna enjoy a fight between 'em!
Intro[]
Vince: Saitama - The Caped Baldy who defeats all his opponents in One Punch!

Frank: And Saiki Kusuo - The Pink Haired Psycic with a Disasterous Life!

Jack: Pure uncontested Power, who wouldn't want to have it? Standing on the top of the food-chain sounds like a pretty cool thing to me. Hell, imagine having so much fire power that you could effect the entire world. Now THAT sounds like a good time.
Vince: You'd think so right? Well apparently not. Since having no one to contest against you physically is apparently very boring. As our aforementioned combatants know all too well.
Frank: But what about when you put these monstrously powerful people against each other...what happens? Well we're gonna find out on this episode of Death Battle!
Saitama[]
Disclaimer: This was created when the latest chapter of One Punch Man was 152, so any new feats or abilities will not be included in this debate as such there will also be spoilers for anything up to this point in the manga. You have been warned.

Vince: Monsters, ever since humans began writing stories we have told tales of these inhuman beasts causing havoc to our world.
Frank: But what if these monsters were actually real? Well basically you get the world of One Punch Man. Where Monsters and Heroes are in a near eternal battle with each other.
Jack: The Hero Organisation try does have it's fair share of heavy hitters like The Terrible Tornado, Atomic Samurai and even the mysterious Blast. However, none of these guys are the strongest in their world funnily enough.
Vince: Instead it's an unassuming man from a Ghost Town by the name of Saitama!

Stop Music
Frank: ...you've gotta be shitting me...
Jack: Yeah not gonna lie to you, I think we've got the wrong script. I mean like shouldn't we be talking about the drop dead gorgeous power house Amai Mask?
Vince: Don't judge a book by its cover Jackie Boy because despite Saitama's appearance his power is absolutely monstrous. But he wasn't always like this because 3 years before the story began he was just a regular salary man.
Frank: Well he was attempting to be a salary man...but he wasn't exactly successful. Interview after interview he just didn't have much luck getting a job. After one of these failed interviews he ran into a giant crab man wearing white underpants...sounds normal.

Jack: This crab fella named...Crablante wasn't just out for a stroll, he was actually looking for a kid with an arse for a chin who apparently drew nipples on his chest with permanent marker while he was asleep. God...reminds me of college.
Frank: Saitama soon across this kid playing soc- *sees Jack glaring at him* uhhh "football". He was just gonna leave him but as soon Crablante showed up to exact his revenge Saitama decided to step in and save the child by fighting the monster.
Vince: As you can expect the fight was well...one-sided. Until Saitama played it dirty and yanked Crablante's eye out with his tie...which to be honest looks kinda tasty.
Jack: Bleh that looks mank mate! Anyway, this awoke a dream that Saitama had since he was a child. To become a hero whose so strong that he defeats his enemies in one punch.
Vince: And so for 3 grueling years under his daily training regiment, 100 Push-Ups, 100 Sit-Ups, 100 Squats and a 10 Kilometre run he gained such overwhelming strength...but at one cost he lost his hair.
Frank: Feel you there pal but I didn't really lose mine through training.
Jack: In exchange for losing his hair Saitama's strength skyrocketed to a point where he became far and away the strongest person on earth.

Vince: What were once unstoppable monsters had become mere childsplay. With just one punch he reduced 99% of his opponents into spaghetti bolognaise.
Frank: But Saitama's advancements weren't just limited to his punches, he can jump hundreds of feet into the air and lift absurdly sized dumbbells without any effort.
Jack: But there's also some...weirder abilities that Saitama gained from this training. Like for example he managed to just...enter Phoenix Man's realm which as he said himself is a "Spiritual Realm". One Punch Man really is a trip sometimes.
Vince: But this training also somehow allowed him to become immune to many different abilities. Extreme Heat, Freezing, Telekinesis hell even weird shit like Absorption, all of these just don't seem to work on him.
Frank: However the biggest thing that this training did for Saitama is that it allowed him to break through his own limiter.
Jack: What's a limiter you may ask? Well it's essentially a cap in strength that every human in the series has, no matter how hard they train they physically cannot get past it. However Saitama somehow...broke through that.

Vince: So theoretically Saitama has infinite potential to get stronger and stronger. Which makes sense since Saitama constantly gets stronger by the day.
Pop-Up: This actually makes sense since Saitama never actually stopped training even when after the original 3 years.
Frank: Jeez all of this just from a work-out that is somewhat grounded. He must be pretty happy that he managed to achieve his goal and then some right? Well funnily enough...no.
Jack: Yeah see all these abilities and power may sound cool to me and you in theory but in practise it made Saitama miserable. The fact that he effectively had no challenge whatsoever made it to where his life...became gray.
Vince: Instead of feeling glory with every victory he just came home and washed off the blood from his gloves feeling completely empty.
Frank: What made it worse that he effectively got no credit for his heroic actions. At best someone else would take credit for the kill or at the worst he would be blamed for the damage. Sounds pretty shite to me.
Jack: But luckily for Saitama some other heroes like Genos and the mysterious King actually started to take notice of his strength and even became somewhat friends with him. Creating I think one of my favourite friend groups in fiction...besides ours of course.
Vince: Thanks babe. Anyway, Thanks to meeting these people Saitama got the creative juices flowing and created his own moves.
Frank: Starting off with his Consecutive Normal Punches which as you can guess is where he...throws a consecutive number of casual punches.
Jack: Saitama can actually go full on Jojo with his Two Handed Consecutive Normal Punches...I hope you don't need me to explain what he does here.
Vince: But when he gets Serious he uses such moves like the Serious Sideways Jumps, it does what it says on the tin doing really fast sideways jumps for all of your Speed of Sonic humiliating needs oh and it's good for mobility I guess.
Frank: With the Serious Headbutt he can use his shiny head for good use to completely eviscerate any poor ol' monster that gets in his way.
Jack: To change up his scenery he can use the Serious Table Flip where he can effectively do a Gamer Freakout so powerful that it can tear entire cities from their foundations. Like how he flipped the entire Monster Association Base.
Vince: Finally we have two of Saitama's strongest attacks, The Death Punch and The Serious Series Punch we're putting them together because they effectively do the same thing.
Frank: Serious Series is where he puts in a little more effort and the Death Punch is presumably him being completely serious. Both of these show us how scary Saitama's strength is since with the Serious Series he managed to deflect Boros' Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon.
Jack: Okay, okay we can't get away from it forever we have to discuss Saitama's physicality!

Vince: To say that Saitama's strength is absolutely monstrous (heh get it) would be a complete underestimation. Like even when casually punching a monster he managed to blow a hole in the building behind them.
Frank: That's actually one of the weakest things he's ever done since he's been able to turn a mountain to smoke with just a shockwave from his punch, he even stopped and blew up an asteroid which was going to destroy City Z if it had made impact.

Jack: By measuring how much the meteor weighed and how fast it was going we were able to figure out that this would require 42 Gigatons of TNT, Which if you didn't know is over 2 million times more powerful than the meteor that was dropped on Hiroshima!
Vince: However this is peanuts to when Saitama managed to deflect Boros' collapsing star roaring cannon, the sheer force of this split the clouds for hundreds of miles at the least. Which has been calculated at 182 Petatons of TNT!
Frank: What makes this feat even more impressive was that Boros' attack was going to incinerate the surface of the earth which is this powerful.
Jack: It was even stated that Saitama had plenty of strength to spare. While we never actually see Saitama's full display of strength we can make an educated estimate at where he would be in power.
Vince: Through searching we decided that Saitama should at least be strong enough to destroy the earth when going out. Not only did the artist for OPM, Yusuke Murata state that he could but Saitama himself even says he would when he was having a bad day...I hope it doesn't ever come to that.
Pop-Up: Murata also has drawn Saitama blowing a hole in a planet which you can use as evidence for Planet Level.
Frank: And Saitama isn't really the type to just make stuff up. Even then it makes a lotta sense since he is significantly stronger than Boros' Exaton Attack.
Jack: That sure is powerful but Saitama is pretty fucking fast as well. He is significantly faster than Speed of Sound Sonic who...as you can tell by his name can travel at Supersonic Speeds. Which as you'll see now is actually pretty pathetic compared to what Saitama has done.
Vince: Like the time when he just jumped from the moon back to the earth in a handful of seconds. Judging by how he made this jump in about 20 seconds this would mean he was moving over 19 million metres per second or about 56034 times the speed of sound!
Pop-Up: He also obviously upscales from Lord Boros who Murata stated had kicked Saitama to the moon at at the speed of light.
Jack: Saitama also managed to block rocks thrown at him by Geryganshoop (Jesus that's a fuckin' name and a half) who apparently can telekinetically throw these rocks at "sub-light" speeds. Hell it was even stated by Murata that these attacks were almost seen as a bad joke in Saitama's eyes.
Vince: He also upscales from Flashy Flash. Not only because he reacted to his attacks but also because he caught up to him on foot. Why is this impressive? Well because it's extremely consistent that Flashy Flash can move faster than the speed of light!
Frank: So yeah Saitama is a complete beast but he does have his flaws. For one, constantly defeating his enemies without any effort has got Saitama into the habit of not taking fights seriously initially...which I mean is fair but could be trouble against someone as strong as him.
Jack: It doesn't help as well that he isn't trained at all in combat. Which you probably could tell when we discussing his moves which only really involve punching.
Vince: Throughout Saitama's journey he finally managed to get a group of people around him, people that truly cared for him. Sure he may not be able to have a fair fight ever again...maybe he can feel happy through genuine human connection.

Connections:
- They are both anime protagonists from Shonen Jump that got insane levels of power capable of destroying the earth with ease.
- Both of them come from parody series or are parodies themselves due to their series poking fun at a lot of Shonen tropes or cliches or just anime cliches in general making them parody characters within their series and worlds.
- Both after getting such power they started to lose emotion and became quite bored in life to the point they didn’t want such power at all.
- They are emotionless but can be set off easily with really stupid ways (getting in the way of Saiki K’s food and Saitama being called bald) and usually get into ridiculous situations without caring as well.
- They are not really known in their worlds (nobody except Saiki’s family knows he has powers and Saitama is not a recognized hero and was a bit hated as well) but during time people start to see and realize how powerful they actually are and despite not using their power heroically they still do the right thing in the end.
- Both have a very...dodgy relationship with insects in the past (Saiki's only fear is cockroaches and Saitama famously couldn't catch a mosquito)
