- Both are high schoolers who wear parasitic alien clothing of sorts that transform themselves. Additionally both these garments are tied to the evolution and would-be conquest of mankind. Both are notable for their powerful bladed weapons that can slice through just about anything through their series. They have incredible regenerative abilities thanks to their merging. Both have a rival who wears a parasitic creature just like they do. Initially, their rival is shrouded in mystery and is a bit of an antagonistic force towards the protagonist. However they gradually ally with them and become stronger together than they were apart. This paints a target on their back, making them the prime targets for an organization that wants to use alien DNA to take over the human race. Both of them are motivated by the deaths of their fathers at the hands of said organization, in which they have to come to acceptance of what happened and what their respective suits have done to their lives. While in this arc of acceptance, both refuse to utilize their suits due to the trauma and hardships it has forced upon them. Only by accepting the full weight of their responsibilities and what their journey has brought them, they reawaken their powers and go on to unlock more forms that change their fighting style.
