Season 1 Episode 9! This is a battle between two military generals, however despite their humanity, the machine has taken both of them over. So who will win in a battle of the redeemed German leader, Rudol Von Stroheim, and the General turned insane, James Ironwood?
Intro[]
Rohan: Every powerful army needs a strong leader.
Jeltz0: That's pretty self explanatory, however these two exceed "powerful". They're both damn Cyborgs!
Rohan: Rudol Von Stroheim, the German Cyborg.
Jeltz0: And James Ironwood, the power behind the Atlesian Military.
Rohan: He's Jeltz0 and I'm Kishibe Rohan, and it's our job to analyse these characters to see who would win in a death battle.
Rudol Von Stroheim[]
Jeltz0: Throughout the 20th century, conflict was solved through Militarism, or wars, if you will. And no country has been more notorious for war and military strength than Germany.
Rohan: And during World War Two, the Germans wanted nothing more than to strengthen their technology.
Jeltz0: And the one who called the shots, the one who made the executive decisions concerning all of this, was a Sadistic, blonde general, Rudol Von Stroheim.
Rohan: Stroheim started out as an arrogant, power hungry freak, doing cruel acts like killing multiple Mexicans for a blood experiment, asking a woman to lick the blood off his face after she messes up shaving it, and kidnapping Robert E.O. Speedwagon.
Jeltz0: You see, Speedwagon was a good friend of the notorious Joseph Joestar's Grandfather, and had been sort of a father figure to Joseph, so he didn't take Speedwagon's kidnapping lightly.
Rohan: However, this would be the first that he hears of the Pillar Men. The Pillar Men are basically ancient Aztec Vampires, who swear to wipe off all hamon users from the face of earth, and with Joseph being a hamon user, (sunlight energy) that doesn't match well.
Jeltz0: Another thing that doesn't match well is Stroheim keeping one of the four Pillar Men in stone, to observe it.
Rohan: And it was a bad idea to give that pillar man, Santana, any opportunity to be released, as chaos ensued. Santana escaped from the confines Stroheim kept him in, and killed the soldiers one by one.
Jeltz0: Until Stroheim and Joseph worked together to try and lure Santana to the sun, as he is a vampire. This was an attitude of change for Stroheim, as he not only asked Joseph to cut off his leg to weaken Santana, but to detonate him, also to weaken Santana. As Stroheim is detonated, while it was no use, it showed his love for his country. So fast forward until later that season, and Joseph with his other hamon users are travelling to Switzerland. However, they're followed by German soldiers, and none other than Rudol Von Stroheim.
Rohan: Stroheim was recovered through the power of German science, the majority of his body being compromised for upgrades. Some of these examples are fists with extreme physical upgrades, and machine guns attached to his chest and stomach.
Jeltz0: And to end his story off, Stroheim and his soldiers helped Joseph by not only fighting the vampire army with his own, but assisting Joseph by fighting alongside him, against Kars.
Rohan: However, the most important part of our analysis, is Stroheim's weapons, feats and power. Here's a quick rundown of his weapons.
- Cyborg Body
- Super Strength
- Machine Gun in his Stomach
- Ultraviolet Radiation
- Ultraviolet Laser from eye
- Removable Hand that can be used as a projectile
- Superhuman eyes
Jeltz0: And Stroheim's super strength shouldn't be underestimated, either. His hand pressure is equal to 4300 pounds, 1950 kilograms or 1.95 tonnes. This is only his hand strength.
Rohan: And his abdominal machine guns fires 600 bullets a minute. Not to mention the sheer amount of ammunition hanging from his machine gun, which ensures he'll never run out.
Jeltz0: We might as well list his amount of feats.
- Was able to rip off part of Kars' hand with ease
- Blocked Kars' forearm blade with the palm of his mechanical hand, without sustaining any damage
- Tanked a fall from a plane, losing his cyborg legs in the process but managed to still fight
- His fingers have a pressure of 2 tons
- Contorted his mechanical body by twisting his arm behind his back
- Crushed a golf ball in his fingers with ease
- His UV lights are 5 times stronger than regular UV rates
- Jumped from the bottom of a big staircase to the top in one jump, while he was still human
- Survived a hole put in his chest by a squirrel
- With his cyborg eyes, zoomed in to minute details of objects
Rohan: And with Stroheim's feat of blocking Kars' forearm blade, it's way more of a feat than you'd expect. His blade is not only strong enough to slice a literal car.
Jeltz0: Kars cut a Car... Friendly fire? Anyone?
*Rohan Punches Jeltz0 in the arm*
Rohan: I would use Heaven's Door on you right now, but we still have more analysis to do.
Jeltz0: So you were saying...?
Rohan: Anyways. Not only was it strong enough to slice the car into pieces, but this was while the car was speeding. Keep in mind, Kars also slices through every individual bullet of Stroheim's Stomach machine gun. Remember? 10 bullets a second? 600 a minute?
Jeltz0: So this means that not only was Stroheim strong enough to get no injury from blocking the blade, but fast enough to catch it in his palm.
Rohan: But no amount of cyber body can save Stroheim from his own arrogance. He's always caught up in honoring the technology of the Fatherland, and he's still a German soldier no matter what.
Jeltz0: And while Ultraviolet and Stomach machine guns are awesome, this technology is advanced for its time mainly. Like in the modern age, these weapons are still high-tech, but never forget, Battle Tendency takes place during World War II.
Rohan: The biggest thing to consider though, is that this guy, along with Joseph Joestar, managed to outsmart an immortal being and send him to space.
Jeltz0: Seriously though. Kars had Hamon 100x the strength of Joseph's, and definitely could've killed both of them, yet Joseph and Stroheim outsmarted him, and definitely didn't rely on a bit of luck...
Rohan: Still, Rudol Von Stroheim was Germany's best, and died a hero, on the front lines of Stalingrad.
"YOU FOOL! GERMAN SCIENCE IS THE WORLD'S STRONGEST!"
James Ironwood[]
Rohan: The world of Remnant contains four kingdoms. The Central area of Vale, The deserts of Vacuo, The vast areas of Mistral, and most importantly, the Tundras and military of Atlas.
Jeltz0 z: And to have an actually decent military, it needs an awesome leader, like James Ironwood.

Trivia[]
The Connections are as follows:
- Both are Military Generals/Leaders
- Their Military Forces help the protagonists way later in the story, after a while of absence (The Atlesian soldiers and Ace Operatives help fight against the Grimm army in Volume 7 and 8 of RWBY, Meanwhile Stroheim and his German soldiers help fight Vampires towards the end of Battle Tendency)
- Both generals are cyborgs, Stroheim having half of his body swapped out for weapons and Ironwood having his arm and part of his chest fully mechanical
This is also a battle of Opposites:
- Stroheim began as a villain, who later helped the protagonists, while Ironwood started as a hero, he became a corrupt General
- Stroheim also died as a hero (on the frontlines of Stalingrad) While Ironwood died a Villain (Died in the Flood of Atlas after trying to kill Winter Schnee)
