Bryant: We can't control our births. Despite that, there are times when people have been victimized simply because of the circumstances of their birth.
Thea: But what we can control is what we end up doing with our lives!
Bryant: Rin Okumura, the Blue Exorcist.
Thea: And Adam Taurus, the Faunus Terrorist!
Bryant: I'm Bryant Reese.
Thea: And I'm Thea Price.
Bryant: And we're here from Fanfiction.net to find out which swordsman would win, a Death Battle!
Rin Okumura burns Death Battle![]
Bryant: In the world we live in, there are demons. Be it humans who are simply inhumane in how they act, or the demons of the mind, which torture your thoughts. However, there are also demons who are considered to be the manifestation of evil, and these are the demons found in the Bible.
Thea: But in most shows and media, they tend to be a combination of that and just supernatural creatures. They tend to be more like vampires instead of biblical monsters that are a pure representation of all the evil in the world. But the most famous of them all is Satan.
Bryant: And that reigns true, even in the world of Blue Exorcist. However, instead of being a fallen angel older than the earth itself, Satan in this world was actually more so a collection of blue lights. At the time, he was known as Rinka, and eventually possessed a clone of a demon known as Lucifer.
Thea: Rinka eventually met a girl named Yuri Egin, and the two ended up being close friends. But one day, Rinka was like, "hey, so you know all the books you kept bringing me? Well when I read them, I decided that I'm Satan! Isn't that awesome?"
Bryant: Satan unleashed his wrath, and Yuri was forced to negotiate with him, eventually convincing him to run away with her. When she was finally rediscovered, she was revealed to had been pregnant with Satan's children.
Thea: And after at least 10, repeat, 10 months of pregnancy from when they found her, she finally popped out a pair of twins. The younger one was named Yukio. But the older one was named Rin.

Bryant: Being born a demon-child, Rin was naturally sentenced to death by the True Cross Academy, basically the anime version of a Catholic Church but with demon hunters. However, he and his brother ended up being saved by his mother's good friend, Shiro Fujimoto, who, along with some of his trusted allies, swore to raise Rin to be a human.
Thea: They mostly did a good job. Sure, Rin got into a lot of fights and was pretty damn strong, but he was also a pretty nice kid for the most part. Most of his fights were either defending his younger brother, defending his family's reputation and image, or just protecting innocent lives in general, human or animals. Since he was an orphan raised in a church, he treasured his family above all else. He even learned how to cook!
Bryant: But all that changed when one day, he had an encounter with a demon. After getting into a fight with a teen thug, said thug ended up being possessed by a demon named Astaroth, and Rin was nearly branded by a red-hot metal rod. To his surprise, this ended up unlocking his latent demonic abilities, his blue flames. Proof of his demonic heritage, and bloody lineage.
Thea: With the metaphorical flare shot into the sky, Rin was swarmed with demons, and Fujimoto ended up telling Rin the truth, that he was the demon child of Satan, and telling him to run away from the demons. Now, picture this. A normal kid, who was raised in a church, was told that he was the son of Satan, the most infamous demon in the world, and then was basically kicked out of his only home. Would you be surprised that he ended up getting upset?
Bryant: Nope. With his stress and confusion, Rin lashed out and accused Shiro of simply wanting to get rid of him. However, this ended up weakening Shiro's mental barriers, and Satan possessed him in order to reclaim his child. But with an incredible form of willpower, Shiro temporarily broke free, and killed himself to save Rin, while proclaiming him to be his son.
Thea: Which messed Rin's mind and conscious up pretty bad. Thanks to him, his dad was dead. But since this is anime, Rin didn't get a chance to take a minute to calm down before a friend of Shiro, Mephisto Pheles, showed up and told Rin that as the son of Satan who had Satan's blue flames, he had two choices. Kill himself, or get killed by the Exorcists. But instead of A or B, Rin chose C. Become an Exorcist himself, and kill Satan!
Bryant: But it wouldn't be easily. With the Exorcists viewing him as a monster, including his own brother, and the threat of execution hanging over his head, Rin needed much to survive the obstacles ahead.
Thea: And lucky for him, he had just what he needed.

Bryant: At True Cross Academy, Rin began training to become a Knight Class Exorcist, or an Exorcist who fought using a sword. In Rin's case, he wields the Kouma Sword.
Thea: It's your classic anime katana! It also has a cooler name, Kurikara!
Bryant: Kurikara is a unique Maken, or Demon Sword, making a weapon imbued with the power of a demon. In Kurikara's case, its scabbard actually serves a portal to Gehenna, or the demon world. The blade can seal demons away, but in Rin's case, it sealed away his demonic heart, the source of his blue flames. After Shiro's death, Kurikara became his signature weapon, and pulling it brings his demonic heart back to Assiah, or the human world. This allows Rin to transform into his demon form, granting him incredible superhuman strength, speed, durability, and his blue flames.
Thea: Rin can use his fire in any way he wants. He can create fireballs, fire streams, fire swords, and fire birds for flight. And he can use it for close-ranged and long-ranged offense and defense. He can fire a sword beam called, uh, Satan Slash?
Bryant: His Satan Claws creates fiery weapons around his hands which he can use up-close and at a range, Satan Bomb creates explosions from the ground where he stabs Kurikara into, and Satan Campfire is when he stabs a target and sets them ablaze, burning them. He's even combined these techniques for his Satan Bomb Campfire, which sets a target on fire before blowing them up.
Thea: Bit awkward that he'd name his attacks after Satan, considering everything.
Bryant: Might make it a bit satisfying to kill him with his own name, though.
Thea: That'd explain it.
Bryant: And not all of them have Satan in their name. Rin's most powerful attack is Flame-Emitting Meditation, or the Fireburst Samadhi, an ancient fire technique where Rin channels the power of an ancient fire-demon to create what's essentially a blue fire spirit bomb, one powerful enough to cover an entire mountain in order to kill a powerful demon of decay, even as the demon was inside of all the people on the mountain.
Thea: Eh, they were fine. The best thing about Rin's flames is that while they can burn everything, they mainly just burn anything.
Bryant: What she means is that they only burn what Rin chooses to burn. Rin has actually engulfed his own allies in flames, only for them to simply be covered with warmth, as opposed to scorching death. And in the opposite end of the spectrum, Satan himself has actually used his own version of the blue flame to annihilate an entire temple of Exorcists in an event known as the Blue Night, specifically burning them not just on the physical end, but also the spectral end. Aka, their soul, reducing them to husks of ash.
Thea: Rin also has the power of several regular demons. Like his telepathy. Rin can communicate with intelligent demons such as the likes of his pet cat, Kuro. And he's strong enough to match the power of several big named demons.
Bryant: Though, Rin's greatest ability on his side is his incredible healing factor. Rin is still rather inexperienced and untrained compared to the rest of his classmates, which leaves him far more vulnerable than the rest. Yet he's still able to survive thanks to his incredible healing factor.
Thea: This guy shook off wounds that should've killed him several times, or at the very least incapacitated him. Like the time he just reattached his foot after it was cut off! Or the time where he got stabbed through the gut!
Bryant: Though Rin's flames are hardly his only weapons. Rin's been trained by Shiro's student, Shura, in the art of swordsmanship, and in controlling his flames, though it's worth noting that he tends to rely on brute force as opposed to raw technique, due to most of his training focusing on his flames. Said training is important, as staying with his flames unleashed can release his inner demonic instincts. Fortunately, his demon form has proven strong enough to help him finish most of his fights before that became too much of an issue. This is especially true for his True Demon Form.
Thea: During an encounter with Satan, the demon ended up breaking Kurikara. But instead of killing Rin like we thought, it just returned his demonic heart to him! Sure it turned him into a literal pile of ash, but he regenerated soon after! Sure you could say it was just him throwing aside his human form while taking his demon form, but he also regenerated an arm after it was cut off.
Bryant: And while he may have had trouble controlling his demonic instincts, he was eventually able to regain control of his mind, and returned to being the same Rin he was before, albeit a bit cynical.
Thea: Guess nurture overtook nature this time. Despite being a literal demon child, all Rin really wanted in life was to look after his family. Kurikara held his demonic heart because it was used to stop his rampage when he was a newborn baby, but the whole rampage was because he was trying to protect his mom and his brother! He literally popped out ready to throw hands with anyone who messed with them! But people just couldn't look past those flames, and his heritage.
Bryant: Namely because these blue flames had taken the lives of so many Exorcists before him. Even after the Vatican chose to spare him, he was only left alive until he could prove himself to be a worthy weapon for them to use against Satan, and he still faced the ire of people who were victims of Satan's actions, like his supposedly best friend, Ryuji Suguro, whose people were incinerated the night of the Blue Night. Even his own brother Yukio, the last family he had, the one who he dedicated his whole life protecting, ended up shooting Rin in the head, and chose to become Rin's enemy.
Thea: But Rin never stopped caring about the people around him. To him, he just had two goals now. Kill Satan, and prove people wrong about him! Even when Yukio got possessed by Satan and tried to kill him, Rin only cared about saving his brother. As for Suguro? One time, he was having a fight with his dad, and Rin stepped in, remembering what happened between him and Shiro. He didn't want his friend to risk living a life of regret and guilt like Rin did.
Bryant: Rin is willing to do nearly anything for the sake of his friends, and he's not one to run from a fight.

Thea: He's taken down several Exorcists and one-shotted high-level demons, which could easily kill large groups of people on their own. He's even matched Kuro in a headbutting contest in his human form! This cat was the size of a truck and knocked around multi-ton construction equipment like they were yarn balls.
Bryant: In his human form, he's also fast enough to move faster than the eye can see, even if it belonged to a supersonic Exorcist like Shura. He even took a hit from Amaimon, the Earth King, who created earthquakes by tapping the ground, which would require up to 15 kilotons of TNT, and sent Rin flying with a punch that broke the sound barrier.
Thea: Amaimon caught up Rin in less than a second despite waiting long enough for Rin to travel almost two miles away, which would make him up to 14 times faster than sound!
Bryant: And while Rin wasn't fast enough to compete with Amaimon in his human form, he was still tough enough to tank a hit from Amaimon, one which obliterated an entire carnival ride. And in his demon form, Rin overwhelmed Amaimon completely, to the point where he began to run away.
Thea: He killed the building-sized Kraken with a single hit, and he even survived Satan's possession, which is what killed his foster father in the first place! When Satan possessed priests in the Blue Night, their souls were incinerated, but Rin just survived it no sweat! He even shrugged off Holy Water, a weapon specifically designed to kill demons!
Bryant: Rin may not be the brightest in education or exorcism, but he's incredibly tenacious. To a fault, actually.

- Flames can be stopped by sheathing his sword
- Relies on strength and flames instead of skill

Thea: A demon's tail is almost the same weakness as their heart. When Rin's tail is grabbed, it's almost enough to stop him from moving. And if his heart is destroyed, there's nothing his regeneration can do, since it's the source of his power.
Bryant: Speaking of which, Kurikara was eventually repaired, though this meant that his flames could also be stopped by simply putting it into its sheath again.
Thea: Good luck taking it.
Bryant: His greatest weakness, however, just might be his tenacity. Rin's reliance on his flames and strength has caused him to end up in sticky situations on multiple occasions, and he did need his friends to help him out.
Thea: Thankfully, they ended up coming around to him. Rin eventually got them to see past his flames and bloodline, and they realized that the real Rin was the Rin they knew all along! They admitted their faults, and they rejoined Rin in his quest to avenge the deaths of the innocent. And his blue flames ended up reversing their meaning to them, by saving them a bunch of times.
Bryant: Like how the phoenix rises from the ashes, Rin's flames are that of a new beginning, a new chance. No longer a symbol of death for his classmates, but a symbol of hope and strength. At the end of the day, he may have the blue flames of the cruelest demon, but Rin Okumura had the soul of the kindest of human.

Adam Taurus hunts Death Battle![]
Bryant: Centuries ago, the two Brothers, the Brother of Light and the Brother of Darkness, created mankind, with the gifts of Knowledge, Creation, Destruction, and Choice, as well as magic. However, when an immortal woman by the name of Salem brought mankind together to rise up against the Brothers, they wiped all of Remnant out, leaving only Salem herself to be alone for eternity.
Thea: Eventually though, they brought mankind back, but without magic. But for some weird reason, they also created a new species, called the Faunus. Which honestly is a better explanation than someone getting a bit too curious about what they could-
Bryant: AHEM! The Faunus were a shock to humans, as their animalistic features made them viewed as inhuman, and abnormal.
Thea: So humans decided to human, and discriminated against them, chasing them out of villages or turning them into slaves.
Bryant: Even after the Great War, basically the Rwby version of the real life Great War, aka World War 1, Faunus continued to experience discrimination and unequal treatment, despite the decrees saying that they were to receive equal rights. They were even transferred to a remote desert island filled with dangerous monsters called Menagerie. Which is another word for zoo. Because they were 'animals'.
Thea: So like Martin Luther King Jr. or Gandhi, some Faunus rose up and formed the White Fang, a peaceful organization fighting for Faunus rights. This was the White Fang, led by Ghira Belladonna. But after Ghira retired, he was replaced by Sienna Khan, who was more like modern feminists except for the Faunus. She declared war on humans, and started terrorizing humans, turning the White Fang into a terrorist organization. And the one who took her ideals and became the equivalent Femi-Nazis on Twitter was the deadly, and bloodthirsty, Adam Taurus.

Bryant: Not much is known about Adam's life when he was younger. What we do know is that he once worked in the Schnee Dust Family's mines. The Schnee Family were by far some of the richest beings on Remnant, but like with most corporations, there were some controversy with the treatment of their workers. In Adam's case, he was branded on his left eye, resulting in it become blind, and the Schnee Family's logo permanently branded on his face.
Thea: Was it an accident? Cruel and unusual punishment? The result of an argument gone too far? Was it possibly a f*cked up way of promoting their brand? No one knows, but we do know that this resulted in Adam's hatred for all of humanity, and his goal of providing a proper life for the Faunus.
Bryant: Eventually, Adam was found and taken in by Ghira when the White Fang were regular protestors, which led to him meeting Blake Belladonna. He became her mentor, and even her boyfriend. But though he believed in Ghira's cause, he truly found his place in Sienna's way of thinking, becoming one of her top enforcers.
Thea: But eventually, it stopped being about the Faunus, and started being about his own bloodthirst. Humans took everything from the Faunus, and kept demanding more. So he decided to fight back, and take everything from them.
Bryant: His blood-soaked ideals were soon supported by many members of his group, and they followed his lead. However, Blake had had enough of his conquest, and left. Though she once saw him as the embodiment of justice and passion, Adam had become the incarnation of spite, turning their relationship abusive, and emotionally manipulative.
Thea: But that ended up making Adam hate Blake more than anyone else. He wasn't very happy with her 'abandoning' him, and he made it his mission to destroy everything that she and humans held dear. And he's pretty good at that.

Bryant: Humans and Faunus alike were targeted by the Grimm, manifestation of evil. However, while they no longer possessed the means of using magic, they possessed the power of Aura. Aura is the physical manifestation of a person's soul, and possesses a variety of special abilities which could be used.
Thea: It's primary use is acting as a forcefield around a person. It take hits for them, protects them from the environment, and channels itself through the user's weapons, enhancing their power and making them stronger. Other Aura users had geysers and lava explode in their face, and they were fine!
Bryant: Aura could also be used to heal certain wounds, and most Aura users could use their Aura to sense incoming threats. Certain characters like Jaune were able to sense that they were being watched even before their Aura was unlocked. However, Aura also acts as a battery for a person's Semblance, a power unique to them, most of the time, which is one of their primary methods of combat. While some inherit their Semblance through their bloodline, most are unlocked via specific scenarios and circumstances, like how Lie Ren unlocked his to hide from Grimm as a small child in a Grimm invasion, or how Nora Valkyrie unlocked her Semblance that absorbs electricity after being hit by a bolt of lightning.
While some inherit their Semblance through their heritage like the Schnees, others develop their Semblance as a response to certain scenarios, like Ren developing a Semblance for hiding from the Grimm in the middle of a Grimm attack, or Nora developing Semblance that absorbs electricity after being hit by a bolt of lightning.
Thea: Adam's Semblance is called Moon Slice, the representation of Adam's desire to take revenge and cut down all of mankind and the people who hurt him. He can absorb incoming hits and dish them back twice as hard for some devastating attacks, like an explosive slash, or a massive sword beam. It's one of the strongest Semblances we've seen, and unlike Yang Xiao Long's Burn, he doesn't have to be hit directly. He just needs to block them with his sword.
Bryant: Most Rwby characters possess their own unique weapon, usually forged themselves. In Adam's case, he wields Wilt and Blush. Blush is a rifle that also acts as a scabbard, which can fire up to seven rounds or launch Wilt at his opponents, knocking them off-guard and leaving them open for a lethal strike. Wilt is a Japanese Chokuto, or a Japanese straight sword, and his main method of attack. It can produce fire as it swings, likely due to being made of a special alloy made of Fire Dust, magic elemental crystals.
Thea: Adam is super skilled with his sword, one of the best in the world. He technically has two fighting-styles from what we've observed from Adam. The first one is almost entirely revolving around Iaido, the Japanese version of the quickdraw, but with swords! Adam uses blistering levels of speed to use speed and precision instead of just raw strength, since he could just rely on his Semblance. He prefers to strike at openings while he fights, or catch them mid-movement and slash them through their openings, all while building up energy for his Moon Slice by blocking and countering attacks with Wilt.
Bryant: His second fighting style is more aggressive. While still using Iaido, he goes more on the offense to overwhelm opponents with attacks that leave afterimages, even throwing Wilt like a buzzsaw or firing constant and powerful sword beams.
Thea: Yeah, speed is the name of Adam's game. It helps that he's a Bull Faunus, which makes him faster and stronger than a regular human. In fact, most Faunus can see in the dark, and have enhanced senses.
Bryant: With all this, Adam proved to be one of the most dangerous men in the White Fang. And after Blake left, Adam became worse, to the point where he was willing to work with Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald, despite the three being human, and he even allowed the White Fang he commanded to work under Roman Torchwick during a plan to destroy Beacon Academy, a symbol of hope in the kingdom of Vale, as well as the base for communications worldwide. Because in the end, it meant that he'd get his pound of flesh, and bucket of blood.
Thea: He wanted to just kill every single human in the world, and he was willing to work with Salem, who at this point was the Queen of the Grimm, for their extinction! He even decided to kill Sienna Khan and take her throne, since she genuinely cared about the future of the Faunus, and had morals that held her back from going too far. Without Beacon, the Grimm became more dangerous, even for the Faunus. But Adam didn't care! He just wanted to kill, and he made the entire White Fang follow his commands. Either they believed in his ideals, or they didn't want to fight him.

- Fought both Yang and Blake at once
- Blocked point-blank bullets
- Moved fast enough to make after-images
- Can threaten Cinder and her goons
Thea: And you can't really blame them for not wanting to fight him. He's fast enough to block bullets from point-blank range, which means he'd have to react in 0.002 seconds. And he didn't even care while he was doing that!
Bryant: What's more, Cinder Fall was no stranger to forcing people to do her bidding, yet even with Emerald and Mercury's loyalty and service, she refused to even consider challenging Adam until she got the Maiden Powers, as he was too big of a threat.
Thea: And Emerald and Mercury could dodge bolts of lightning, which, according to Death Battle, made them just under Mach 80!
Bryant: Yang and Blake were able to keep up with both Emerald and Mercury, and Adam took them both on. At one point, Yang hit him with enough force to create a gash in a rock floor as though it was made of tissue paper.
Thea: He even cut off Yang's arm early in the series, and her Aura was strong enough to protect her from a giant robot slamming her through several concrete pillars, punching her through another, then kicking her for good measure!
Bryant: It's likely that Adam's full power Moon Slice is comparable to the likes of Weiss Schnee, who created an iceberg powerful enough to knock over a giant robot. A feat that Death Battle said was to be over 230 tons of TNT. With so much power useful for forcing others to do his commands, Adam led the White Fang to the kingdom of Mistral, intent on continuing his crusade against all who dared to make him suffer.
Thea: But who would show up other than his ex girlfriend, Blake! This time arm-ed with an arm-y of Faunus to stop Adam.
Bryant: … Adam soon found himself no longer in control, and no longer able to force others to do what he told them to. And when he lashed out, this only further cemented his loss.
Thea: The most dangerous part of an abuser is their control over their victims, usually mental. And while it's near impossible to break free of this control by yourself, and hard even with others, if you take away their control, they'll just have physical force left, which is usually taken care of by authorities or the law.
Bryant: When Blake struck back, no longer in fear of Adam like how she was in the Fall of Beacon, Adam no longer had control over her. When the other White Fang turned against him, Adam couldn't intimidate them. And just like that, Adam was just one man against an army of people, forcing him to flee. Because despite the terror he invoked on others, Adam was still a warrior with flaws.

- Can't use his Semblance without his sword
- Can't control emotions well
- When emotional, he uses his more offensive fighting-style
Thea: Aura is a pretty useful thing, but it has a limit, and has to be recharged with rest and recovery. Without his Aura, Adam doesn't have his best form of attack that is his Semblance. He can't even use his Semblance without his sword, so that's two ways to disable that.
Bryant: What's more, while he can fight in both offense or defense, he does notably better in defense as opposed to offense. And when he's emotional, he loses his cool easily, leaving him open.
Thea: And that's exactly what happened. When Adam wasn't in control, he lashed out, and lost the intimidation he needed to stay in control.
Bryant: Adam was left vulnerable, and angry. As such, he continued to chase Blake, blaming her for everything.
Thea: But Blake wasn't alone, and found a new friendship and new partner in Yang. Blake and Yang always did what they thought was best for each other, never obsessing over themselves like how Adam did. They had a mutual trust, a mutual bond. Not the obsessive and toxic relationship Blake had with Adam, where he tried to force her to rely on him so that he would be in control. And together, they proved too much of Adam, and brought him down, once and for all.
Bryant: A Faunus and a human, working together with the shattered pieces of the sword Adam broke. A symbol of how not matter what he thought, humans and Faunus together were at their greatest. Adam was right in some ways. There will be people who see the Faunus as nothing but monsters. But at the end of the day, he only ended up as the monster that humans feared that a Faunus was.
Thea: Adam hated Blake for abandoning him, but his actions were why he ultimately was alone. In life and in death, Adam Taurus was his own greatest demon.
(Adam Taurus) As I set out upon this world and deliver the justice mankind so greatly deserves, I will make it my mission to destroy everything you love.
Pre-Death Battle[]
Bryant: Alright, the stage is set, time to start this dance.
Thea: It's time for a DEATH BATTLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!
Death Battle[]
In the streets of a random Japanese city, civilians were running as buildings exploded and gunshots were heard, even over the chaos. The White Fang and the Exwires of True Cross Academy were colliding a head-to-head battle as the Exorcists fought back the large groups of terrorists.
"Yukio! These people need help!" Shiemi called. Yukio shot down another terrorist before running over to Shiemi.
"Let's get them onto their feet!" Yukio said as the pair helped the injured civilians up.
"That is not going to happen." A cold voice said. They looked over their shoulder to see a man dressed in black and red calmly walking over to them.
"For the sake of the Faunus, you will die!" Adam said as he charged. Yukio struggled to aim his pistol with the civilian hanging off of his shoulder, but he didn't have to, as blue flames erupted where Adam would've been if he didn't manage to jump backwards. When the blue flames died out, Rin Okumura was standing there, Kurikara drawn and covered in his flames. He had a scowl on his face, his anger evident by his tail flailing about angrily.
"Sorry buddy. But no one is messing with my little brother and classmate. Not on my watch."
"..." Adam studied his opponent, noting Rin's tail.
'A Faunus?'
"You got a lot of nerve, turning on your own kind like this!" he snapped. Rin blinked.
'He's a demon?'
"Yukio, I'll handle this guy!" Rin said.
"We'll focus on evacuation and the rest of his goons! Good luck, Nii-san!" Yukio said as he and Shiemi escorted the injured civilians away. Rin and Adam sized each other up.
"This is gonna be fun." Rin grinned.
FIGHT!
Rin instantly fired several fireballs from his hand. Adam easily dodged and charged forwards as Rin swung his sword. The two blades collided with a loud sound before Rin knocked Adam away and fired another fireball. Adam easily dodged and tried to slash Rin, only for the Exorcist to jump back to dodge. The two clashed again, and Rin easily sent Adam flying with his power. Adam grunted as he spun to slash apart a light pole he nearly collided with before sending it towards Rin with another slash. The Exorcist held Kurikara with both hands as the flames on the blade became focused.
"Satan SLASH!" he yelled as he fired the flying blade of flames. It easily tore through the light pole and rocketed towards Adam, who easily dodged by moving to the side. Rin yelled as he charged forwards and swung his sword again, only for Adam to block it again, this time with Wilt half-sheathed in Blush, allowing him to block more efficiently. The Faunus grunted as he felt the impact travel up his arms regardless before Rin slashed at him repeatedly. Adam continued to parry and push the slashes to the side, his sword beginning to glow.
"Enough!" Adam yelled as he dodged another slash and fully-sheathed Wilt. Rin raised Kurikara and began swinging it with a yell as Adam took his stance. With a burst of dark red light, Wilt collided with Kurikara and sent Rin flying backwards until he was imbedded in a wall.
"Ugh... What just happened?" he groaned before breaking out with a burst of flames.
"Alright, you got anime moves. But so do I! Satan Slash!" Rin yelled as he fired another blade of flames before charging forwards. Adam easily dodged the flames before charging as well. The two clashed before Rin knocked Adam towards a building and fired another fireball. Adam easily jumped higher and off the wall before throwing Wilt like a buzzsaw. Rin yelped as he blocked the attack, causing sparks to fly before Wilt was knocked down. Adam easily caught his blade and slashed Rin from the collar to the side, causing him to yell out in pain.
'No Aura?' Adam thought.
"You should've chosen the right side." Adam said out loud as he turned away. A flaming hand grabbed his horns from behind, prompting him to grunt before he was spun around and thrown down the streets.
"I did!" Rin said as he charged. Adam got up only for Rin to knock him off his feet with a slash as he passed by. Rin spun and slashed Adam repeatedly before slamming his scabbard into Adam's stomach, sending him flying away.
"What the heck?! I couldn't cut him! Is he wearing some kind of super armor?" Rin wondered. Adam coughed as he landed on the ground, holding his stomach.
'He's strong. But is he fast enough?' Adam wondered. He placed his sword back into its scabbard and took a low stance. Rin noticed this and grabbed Kurikara with both hands and held it forwards.
"Bring it on!" Rin said as he charged. Adam suddenly surged forwards with blistering speed, slashing Rin as he passed by and creating a spray of blood. Rin gritted his teeth before Adam continued blitz Rin and slashing him repeatedly before knocking him into the air. Rin grunted as Adam jumped up and slashed him downwards.
"Guh!" Rin groaned as he slammed into the ground. Adam spun with his sword extended as he fell towards Rin, who blocked the spinning slash with Kurikara. The Faunus slammed his boot into Rin's face and slammed him into the ground as he jumped off and landed on his feet. Rin growled as he got up.
"Is this really everything?" Adam said, unimpressed.
"You haven't seen anything!" Rin shot back.
"Oh, I have. Frankly, I'm not impressed." Adam shrugged. Rin growled and charged again. He slashed at Adam repeatedly, only for the Faunus to continue parrying the blows with his half-sheathed blade. Rin found himself stumbling as Adam repeatedly knocked some of his attacks to the side, causing him to overswing, leaving him open for a knee to the side. Adam dodged a wild swing before knocking Kurikara out of Rin's hand mid-swing and knocking him down by ramming his scabbard into Rin's throat and slamming him into the ground. Blood splattered out of Rin's mouth as his throat was crushed.
"Ack!"
"It's over." Adam said as he pulled Blush back and drew Wilt again. Rin gritted his teeth as flames erupted around him, forcing Adam to jump back.
"N- *cough* not until I say it's over!" Rin yelled as he held his neck and got up. Adam shot forwards like a lightning bolt and had Rin impaled on his sword in an instant, causing Rin to groan in pain as he nearly collapsed.
"Stubborn to the end. But your fate was already determined when you chose to-"
"SHUT UP!" Rin yelled as he grabbed Adam's wrist and headbutted him with enough force to make Adam's brain feel like it was bouncing around in his head. Adam yanked Wilt out, but Rin's tail wrapped around his wrists and pulled him back for Rin to punch Adam's face relentlessly. The blows to the face caused Adam's vision to swim as his Aura tried to protect him before Rin grabbed the Faunus by the shirt. He reared his head back, and Adam quickly hardened his Aura. The headbutt still landed with enough force to send him flying backwards. The Faunus slammed into the hard pavement as his vision swam, his Aura quickly kicking in to deal with the brain damage. He slowly got up as Rin charged forwards.
"Enough!" Adam snapped before firing a massive Moon Slice that ripped apart the street it soared over. Rin skidded to a halt as flames erupted in front of him. The red attack clashed with the blue wall before the flames managed to swallow the attack. Rin stared for a second.
"Huh. Neat." he said. Adam appeared behind him as a blur of red and black.
"Do you have time to stoke your ego?" he growled. Rin spun and slashed at him, only for Adam to unleash another Moon Slice that ended up cutting through Kurikara, sending half of the blade flying into the air. Rin stared at the broken sword in shock.
"... Oh, this is gonna hurt." he groaned. Adam jumped back as Rin exploded into a pillar of blue flames that shot into the sky like a beacon of light.
"What the hell?!" Adam grunted as he was nearly blown back. Rin screamed as his body vaporized, reduced to ash. But his demonic heart shone in the middle of the flames, and slowly, Rin's body was reformed around it, his hair now white and his flames burning brighter than before. His heart glowed inside of his chest.
"You're no Faunus!" Adam realized. "You're a monster!"
"Look who's talking!" Rin scoffed. "I'm not the one hurting innocent people!"
"I am making humans pay for all that they've done!" Adam screamed back. "They enslaved us, called us monsters, treated us like animals! I am avenging those who suffered under their rule!"
"You're using your sob story as an excuse!" Rin yelled. "You're just giving them a reason to call you monsters!"
"You can't possibly understand what we've been through!" Adam dismissed.
"I do. All my life, I've been called a monster. People hated me just for being born! I lost my dad right in front of me, and the only reason why I'm still alive is because people see me as a useful weapon!" Rin screamed. He took a breath and gripped Kurikara.
"But I don't use that as an excuse to hurt the people who did nothing to me. I don't let my experience, or my heritage, or my status change me, or my ideals! And I will protect the people I care about, especially from the likes of you!"
"If you really understood, you would be burning the city down with us! They don't deserve sympathy, or life! And I will tear down everything that gets in the way of my vengeance!" The two rushed forwards and clashed once again. Rin swung Kurikara with reckless abandon, but Adam easily deflected the slashes. The two continued to fight at blistering speeds, becoming nothing but black and red/blue blurs.
"Why won't you die!" Adam yelled as he knocked away a slash and impaled Rin again. The Exorcist punched Adam and sent him flying.
"You think you're the first one to try?!"
"Grah!" Adam yelled as he fired another Moon Slice. Rin fired back his own sword attack. The two attacks collided, but the Satan Slash easily devoured the Moon Slice and continued on its path. Adam's eyes widened before he jumped out of the way. Rin appeared above him and brought his sword, now half made of flames, down like a guillotine. Adam jumped out of the way, causing Rin to shatter the street with the force of his blow. The two reared back and unleashed a never-ending barrage of sword swings, their blades singing as they continued to clash and spark. Blood spurted out of Rin as Adam repeatedly slashed him, while Aura flickered around Adam as Rin continuously struck him. The two knocked each other away and took their stances again. Adam sheathed Wilt once again, his Aura glowing bright red. Rin roared into the sky as his flames burned as bright as the sun. For a moment, the area was half-filled with blue, and half-filled with red.
"JUST! DIEEEE!" Adam roared as he rocketed forwards. Rin yelled a battle cry as he impaled the ground with Kurikara. Adam's attack surged out of his sheath and nearly cleaved Rin in two, but the ground suddenly exploded, sending Adam high into the sky.
"You decided to be a demon!" Rin said as he swung his sword before jumping into the air. His flames formed a flying bird around him as he shot towards Adam. Adam grunted as he was slashed, then again, then again, until he was being bombarded by repeated slashes as Rin flew around Adam and constantly attacked him. Finally, Rin appeared above Adam and flung the bird-shaped flames down, sending both the Faunus and the flames rocketing down into the ground. Adam yelled as he crashed into the pavement, then choked as Kurikara impaled him through his stomach. Above him, Rin was holding a massive ball of flames above his head.
"So BURN!" he yelled. "Fireburst SAMADHI!"
Rin chucked the flames down towards Adam, who screamed as the flames burned through his Aura like paper and devoured him, reducing the terrorist into ash. Rin landed on the ground as the flames dissipated, and pulled Kurikara out of the ground. He looked at the broken sword before looking at Wilt. He picked it up.
"Whelp. At least I got a new sword out of this."

Thea: Ah. There's no kill like overkill.
Bryant: Adam didn't go down easy. Having spent most of his life training for the White Fang, he was far more skilled than Rin, and had a bigger variety of experience, as he's been fighting for most of his life, while Rin has been fighting for less than a year.
Thea: Not to mention that he was way faster. At just under Mach 80, he was almost 6 times faster than Rin. And depending on how you scale Amaimon's speed, you could even say that Rin was even as slow as Mach 7, more than 11 times slower than Adam. With Adam's greater speed and skill, he had no problem defending himself against pretty much all of Rin's sword swings, which meant that he could spam Moon Slices as much as he wanted, taking all of Rin's punishment and dishing it back twice as hard.
Bryant: Unfortunately for Adam, Rin simply outclassed him in damage dealt. While Adam could scale to Weiss's iceberg feat, a feat which would require over 230 tons of TNT, Rin has tanked blows from Amaimon in human form. And Amaimon could create an earthquake simply by tapping the ground. A feat which would require each tap to be as strong as 15 kilotons of TNT. 60 times stronger than anything that Adam could scale to.
Thea: And Rin's human form was enough to take a hit from that kind of power, but as a full on punch instead of a casual tap. In Rin's semi-demon form, he was strong enough to completely overwhelm Amaimon, and his True Demon form was even stronger than that! Even with Moon Slices, Adam wouldn't be strong enough to kill Rin that easily.
Bryant: In fact, the two had very clear differences in terms of their survivability and healing factors. Both can deal with bullets, but Adam has always gone out of his way to block bullets while Rin shrugged them off, even if they were bullets specifically designed to kill demons like him.
Thea: And while Adam got impaled and died, Rin was impaled in a similar spot and was fine in just a few minutes, without even needing to enter his demon form.
Bryant: And it's unlikely that Adam was that much faster than Rin anyways, as Rin overwhelmed Amaimon early in his series, grew stronger after that, and obtained his True Demon form, which was even more powerful. There's no reason why Rin wouldn't have achieved a level of speed that would allow him to keep up, especially since he had greater mobility with his flight, and range with his flame attacks.
Thea: But the real nail in Adam's coffin was Rin's flames. Remember how Aura is the physical manifestation of a person's soul, and is powered by it? Well, you should also remember that we said that the Blue Night was a massacre where people were burned by Satan's flames, which work the same way as Rin's. And they didn't just burn their bodies, they also burned their souls!
Bryant: This means that Rin could neutralize Adam's defense, as using Aura to protect yourself from Rin's blue flames would be the same as using metal wires to protect yourself from lightning. And as Adam's Moon Slice was powered by Aura, this also meant that Rin's own defensive plays would simply burn, like someone using a paper weapon to try to defeat an entity made out of fire. This neutralizes all of Adam's options for defensive strategies and offensive strategies, which meant that he would need to rely simply on his raw power and raw speed, and only one of those was an advantage.
Thea: Adam was definitely one of the most dangerous antagonists in Rwby, but Rin's power, abilities, and super-healing stopped this bull in his tracks!
