Wiz: Throughout history, pirates have become the stuff of legend. Stealing whatever they want from whoever they please.
Boomstick: And like anything, they become much cooler with the word 'Space' to them.
W: Ridley, the Unending Rival of Samus Aran.
BS: And Mashtooth, the Conqueror of Planet Bunnera. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
W: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Ridley[]
W: Throughout the Galactic Federation’s lifespan there have been many threats to their goal of keeping peace throughout the Galaxy. But none are as prolific or tenacious as the Space Pirates
BS: These guys aren't your average seafaring scallywags. They thrive on causing chaos and destruction throughout the Galaxy. And may God help you if you ever meet their leader. A badass, giant, plasma breathing monster.
W: Ridley made a name for himself when he happened upon a human colony on the planet K-2L, most known for its exports of fuel containing crystals and cute squirrel creatures.
BS: But one of those squirrels must have killed Ridley’s parents or something, so he just straight up torched the place himself! Jesus, man, what did these squirrels do to you?!
W: Amongst the chaos, Ridley taunted a three year old Samus Aran, who attempted to befriend him, claiming he would eat the corpse of her parents. And he did!
BS: HOLY SHIT! What kind of animal does that?!
W: Actually, Ridley is no animal. Despite his monstrous appearance, Ridley is highly intelligent and a cunning strategist.
BS: Well, turns out eating corpses heals Ridley, in fact, he doesn't even need to eat people to heal!
W: Amongst Ridley’s many abilities is a healing factor, allowing him to survive being blasted in the mouth several times.
BS: But Ridley’s not just good at eating shots. He can also shoot lasers and breath fire like any good dragon should! He can also harden his body giving him more durability
W: Ridley’s fighting style can only be described as savage and sadistic. He enjoys toying with opponents before finishing them off.
BS: He's strong enough to blow up a plateau on Zebes’ increased gravity and survive being left for dead after Sammy beat the hell out of him.
W: Fortunately for him, the Space Pirate Scientists decided to experiment on him, turning him into a cybernetic killing machine.
BS: Meta Ridley was about as badass as a robot dragon could get, but he still couldn't put Samus in the dirt.
W: Desperate and beaten, Ridley exposed himself to massive amounts of Phazon, becoming Omega Ridley.
BS: Essentially a walking corpse now, Ridley's old dip in the crazy mutant juice left him with some crazy powers even after he got over the addiction.
W: The Phazon corruption bolstered his healing factor, allowing him to fully regenerate from a cyborg.
BS: He's tough enough to survive getting blasted by lasers, falling off a cliff and EXPLODING, as well as the time he was buried under a bunch of rocks and got up just fine.
W: He's strong enough to pierce through Chozo Armor and fast enough to outspeed Samus’ spacefaring Gunship and avoid its targeters.
BS: But Ridley's not invincible. He's been taken out multiple times by Samus, even being killed eventually, and is really goddamn arrogant.
W: But even death didn't put Ridley down for good. Through cloning, Ridley was revived several times, only for him to be killed by a Metroid Queen and an X-Parasite
BS: Still, clone or not, Ridley is one purple dinosaur who definitely doesn't love you. Don't fuck with this guy, cause he’ll become the bane of your existence
Ridley bursts through a metal bridge, roaring and smugly grinning as he twirls a familiar red hat around his finger
BS: HOLY FUCK HE JUST KILLED MARIO!!!

W: Ultimate power is something that many desire, but few will ever claim.
BS: And none want it more than the legendary space pirate, Mashtooth.
W: Mashtooth had become infamous for his ruthlessness, and it was only a matter of time before he set his sights on the planet Bunnera.
BS: What is it with these guys and invading worlds with cute, fluffy things? But the Bunnerans were different.
W: The rabbit-like denizens of Bunnera had the curious ability to shapeshift, taking various forms for a variety of uses.
BS: Mostly stuff like gardening or baking. You’d think these guys would realize that they could easily take over the galaxy with that type of power but nooooo, they’re just a bunch of peace-loving hippies.
W: The Bunneran’s philosophy aside, Mashtooth craved their power for himself, and was able to conquer the planet with little trouble
BS: Y’see this is why ya need a military, kids!
W: Once conquered, Mashtooth began absorbing the Bunnearan’s power….by sniffing them…
BS: I don’t….what the hell kind of way of absorbing power is that?!
W: Don’t question it.
BS: Anyway, Mashtooth became extremely powerful, he wields a scimitar which he can summon at will, and also can turn into lightning!
W: Mashtooth is protected by a shield, which is highly resistant to energy-based attacks, but doesn’t seem to protect him at all from physical attacks.
BS: However, like any addict, Mashtooth wanted more! Unfortunately, Bunnera’s prince had escaped to seek assistance. He came back, however and with the assistance of Starfy, Mashtooth was pushed back….OR WAS HE?!
W: In a last-ditch attempt for ultimate power, Mashtooth ate Bunston, absorbing his power and mutating into a new form.
BS: Mega Mashtooth is faster, stronger, and tougher than before, and he can fly! He can even throw meteors and take them to the face like it’s nothing!
W: Mashtooth is strong enough to push a small moon with his laser breath, can teleport with his electrokinesis, and is tough enough to tank the ultimate attack of his lackeys.
BS: His nose suction can tear apart debris from the Bunneran Castle! But unfortunately, he’s not the sharpest bulb in the drawer.
W: Rather than earning the respect of his lackeys, Mashtooth rules through fear, threatening to kill them if they disobey.
BS: Damn! I bet he doesn’t even give them free dental care! What a douche!
W: Even still, Mashtooth is feared for a good reason.
BS: Even after fighting demons and the like, Mashtooth is the greatest threat Starfy's ever faced.
Moe: Starf! Now what do we do?!
Mega Mashtooth: Nothing! What can you do? You face an invincible power!
Interlude[]
W: Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate once and for all!
BS: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BAAAATTLLLE!
Pre-Fight[]
Planet Bunnera. The once peaceful world was now ravaged by the space pirate Mashtooth. Unconscious bodies of its depowered citizens filled the streets and the castle itself. Atop it all, sat Mashtooth, sitting idly on his throne.
“Ugh,” he groaned “Where are they?!”
Just then, a diminutive Swabbie lackey burst into Mashtooth’s repurposed throne room in a panic.
“Sir!” He cried, “Emergency! Emergency!”
Mashtooth growled. “If this isn't about Bunston you're becoming my next snack.”
“W-we” the Swabbie stammered. “WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!!!”
“What?!” Mashtooth stood, getting ready to cut down the Swabbie in rage when the sound of glass shattering filled the room. When Mashtooth turned, he saw that the giant window overlooking Bunnera’s surface had a glaring hole in it. Turning back, he was shocked to find the minion dead, and an unwelcome guest in his throne room.
“Ah, hello.” Ridley cackled. “I presume you're the one running things around here.”
“Hey! You can't kill him!” Mashtooth exclaimed. “I was gonna do that!”
“Oh what?” Ridley asked, holding the corpse up with his clawed foot “This poor thing? He's only a warmup for you.” He slammed his foot down, crushing the Swabbie.
Mashtooth roared and summoned his scimitar, lightning striking everywhere. “You're dead!” He raged.
FIGHT![]
Mashtooth instantly charged at the opposing space pirate, whose tail sprung into action, clashing with Mashtooth’s blade as he slowly lifted off the ground. Mashtooth parted his blade with Ridley’s as the dragon opened his mouth, launching blasts of fire at Mashtooth. However, the blasts dissipated against Mashtooth’s shield.
“Hah! I'm invincible!” Mashtooth gloated before being smacked in the face by Ridley’s tail.
Ridley cackled with glee at the strike, infuriating the Conqueror even further. He jumped at Ridley, slashing at him wildly. The attacks connected, causing the dragon to shriek in pain. He grabbed his foe before flying up, and grinding him against the walls. However, after a few moments, he noticed after a while that he hadn't been grabbing anything before he was struck by lightning. Ridley fell to the ground, nothing Mashtooth standing to the far side of the room, glowing blue. Not one to let this slide, Ridley charged Mashtooth before the red pirate disappeared again in a flash of lightning. He reappeared again, slashing from behind and disappearing before Ridley could counter. The process repeated, with Mashtooth teleporting and slashing, until Ridley fell to his knees. Mashtooth reappeared once more in front of Ridley’s face, readying a final blow. However, when his blade connected with the pteranodon, instead of severing his head, the scimitar snapped in two.
Ridley stood, his skin darkened, laughing. “What the-” Mashtooth started before Ridley grabbed him and threw him back behind him. Mashtooth landed outside of the room. An idea popped in his head, but he needed time.
“Get him!” Mashtooth yelled, before teleporting away as nearly every mook in the area converged on Ridley, who himself was just exiting to the courtyard. The sounds of chaos and fighting could be overheard as Mashtooth reappeared in a prison area, where several Bunnerans were held captive.

Boring, Ridley thought as he fought off the waves of minions. That oaf actually proved a worthy threat, but he had cowardly ran from the fight. As he was about to snap the neck of a demon-like creature, however, an explosion could be heard from a nearby tower. Smoke cleared as a massive draconic figure rose from the rubble. Mega Mashtooth roared as he flew into the stars, tossing meteors down at his foe. Ridley wasted no time following him, dodging the meteors with his insane speed. Mega Mashtooth attempted to swat Ridley out of the air but he was too fast, dodging even the lighting that had begun striking down. Ridley slashed at his opponent’s limbs, scratching his arms, chest and tail, but none of that seemed to even slow Mashtooth down. Mashtooth flew back as he charged a huge beam of energy, launching it at Ridley. In response, Ridley fired back a smaller beam of plasma. The beams clashed, both space pirates flying closer to the other in an attempt to push back the other until.
KABOOOM!!!!
Both beams exploded, leaving the entirety of the Bunneran Castle in ruins. However, a figure rose from the rubble. Groaning in pain.
“What the hell was up with that guy?” Mashtooth rubbed the back of his neck, having exhausted most of his energy in that beam attack.
He began to walk away before suddenly a spiked tail burst through his chest. He looked back to find Ridley, floating behind him and still alive.
“Allow me to answer your question.” Ridley said as he yanked his tail out, moved in front of Mashtooth and grabbed him by the throat.
“I am called the Cunning God of Death.” Ridley said, readying his tail for another strike. “Let me show you why.”
With a stroke of his tail, Ridley bisected Mashtooth horizontally, dropping his lifeless upper half to the ground and letting out an ear piercing victory roar.

Ridley took Mashtooth’s corpse, planning to consume it later
Starfy and co. arrive at Planet Bunnera only to find it completely devastated
BS: Yeaaaaah! Who's too big now, bitch!
W: While Mashtooth certainly wasn't a weak opponent, Ridley simply had him beat in every single category. For starters. Ridley's intellect is far greater than Mashtooth’s, who was nearly tricked into giving up his power!
BS: Sure, Mashtooth could turn into lightning, but even then he's slower than Ridley, who can keep up with Samus’ ship, making him faster than light!
W: In fact, the sheer fact Ridley could not just survive, but fight on Zebes, which has gravity 960x that of Earth, puts him far above anything Mashtooth could do, especially considering most of his feats take place on Bunnera which has LOWER gravity than Earth.
BS: And remember that plateau Ridley destroyed?
W: By accounting for the size of the plateau, the resulting explosion and Zebes’ increased gravity, Ridley's plasma beam has the equivalent power of nearly six gigatons of TNT!
BS: When even Mashtooth's super form is overwhelmed by Ridley’s base stats, that's when you know Mashtooth doesn't stand half a chance.
W: The winner is Ridley!

Metroid: Ridley, the Cunning God of Death.
Thunder: And Mashtooth, the Power-Absorbing Reptile!
Metroid: Space Pirates. The terror of the galaxy. Monsters without a shred of mercy. If these two have you in their sights, all you can do is pray you'll be granted death or a savior arrives.
Thunder: He's Metroid and I'm Thunder!
Metroid: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Ridley slaughters all in DEATH BATTLE![]
Metroid: On the peaceful colony of K-2L, the world was peaceful. People went about their days, living their lives, but all of that was about to come to an end.
Thunder: Everything changed when the Space Pirates attacked! No, really. When they arrived, they looted just about everything, and murdered every last one of them.
Metroid: But who would lead these bloodthirsty monsters, and would put so much grief onto so many?
Thunder: I'll tell ya who, the leader is known other than a giant dragon named Ridley!

Metroid: The Space Pirates can be described as Galactic terrorists. They set their eyes on planets, enslaving those on it, and slaughtering all those who chose to resist, while also stealing everything we can.
Thunder: And let's just say Ridley enjoys that a little too much. If you ask this dude to plan out your vacation, he'd make it all about slaughtering an entire civilization and bragging bragging the children that their parents are dead, and that he ate said parents to heal up. Oh, wait, he did that, actually!
Metroid: Ridley believes himself to be apart of a superior race compared to everyone else, and will not just break someone down physically, but also spiritually. And he truly does believe to be superior to all other races to the point of believing they deserve to die.
Thunder: Wonderful, a racist genocidal maniac. And worse, he may act animalistic, but he's actually tactical and cunning! Like being able to hide in plain sight, and forcing someone down down a elevator shift to ensure they die even if he does!
Metroid: All these moments of horrifying intellect has granted him the nickname of "Cunning God of Death". And it's no fancy nickname, either. Ridley has sharp claws to tear through his foes like butter, and can infuse the attack with electricity or energy.
Thunder: And very sharp tail that'll put a hole through ya with ease! He can even pogo stick around with it, or wrap it around someone's neck for a quick choke out! ...Do you think Ridley deals with people into BDS--
Metroid: AND with the ability to fly, Ridley has more maneuverability compared to foes. He also has Plasma Breath, which is a blast of plasma he can even charge up. It can come out like a laster like fire or continuous stream.
Thunder: And when he wants to bring the heat, he unleash his fire breath to roast opponents! He can launch it in arcs, can home in on enemies, and firing a powerful at the ground can send a shockwave out!
Metroid: He can even regenerate his injuries if he eats the flesh of other beings, which could be applied if he fights an exposed foe. But after a painful loss to...Samus...he was gravely injured. Luckily for him, the Space Pirates were able to save him, turning him into a cyborg known as Meta Ridley.
Thunder: Before he could only fight Samus with weaker weapons, but now he can fight her at her best!
Metroid: Which is impressive considering that...she...can have weapons that can freeze stars, and she's been calculated to be able to output 64.1415619025 Tenatons of TNT.
Thunder: Matching that is cool, but Ridley also gets new weapons in this form! He gets third breath attack, this one of kinetic energy! And he has a Mason Bomb Launcher, which lets him carpet bomb the area he's in!
Metroid: He can fire multiple missiles from his body, and with the Ultrathermal Flamestrike Projector, he wreaths his feet in flames before slamming into the ground, creating a flaming shockwave.
Thunder: And if he wasn't scary enough, he is really fucking fast. He can keep up and outpace Samus's Gunship, which can fly at 727,200,000,000 c! So no hope of outrunning this guy either.
Metroid: Despite how many times he was fought, no matter how many times he cheats death, no matter how many times he and his arch rival fought, he always lost. In hindsight, maybe he should have killed her all those years ago. This mainly because of sadistic nature, making him want to take his time on killing his targets. If they aren't showing fear or are able to fend him off well, Ridley will slowly lose his temper and forgo strategies in blind rage.
Thunder: And eventually, Samus finally killed him, making sure he was dead, and left to die for good measure when Planet Zebes self-destructed. But still, Ridley already left his impact. All those horrifying murders, worlds left barren, corpses spilled everywhere, and stories spreaded, no one will ever forget this psychotic son of bitch.
"Kill as much as you want! Have fun!"
Mashtooth inhales the power of DEATH BATTLE![]
Metroid: Planet Bunnera, a peaceful civilization, far away from the kingdom of Pufftop. Here, the species known as Bunnerans thrive everyday lives, but there is one, special factor about them.
Thunder: They're able to transform into all sorts of creatures! Dragons to breathe fire, elephants to spray water, or butterflies to sparkle around dust to heal people! They're essentially very versatile shapeshifters!
Metroid: However, they never are the violent type, typically using these powers for mundane uses, such as the dragon forms to cook food, or the elephant form to water gardens.
Thunder: Aw...that's lame. I'd use it to establish I'm an unstoppable being.
Metroid: Well someone does share your thoughts; as one day, Space Pirates attacked.
Thunder: Well, doesn't that sound familiar? Bunnera's citizens were attacked, and defeated soundly, with only one managing to escape the planet. Once again, sounds familiar. And the one leading these pirates was a red dragon named Mashtooth.

Metroid: Mashtooth's philosophy in life is similar to many who believe in "The strongest survive". To him, being strong means anything you want will be yours without question.
Thunder: So when he found out the Bunnerans had immense power underneath their cuddly looks, like nearly every Nintendo character, he immediately staged a takeover!
Metroid: And he did successfully. Well, mostly successfully. While he and his squad were able to take over the planet and defeat the Bunnerans, Prince Bunston managed to escape to Pufftop.
Thunder: A prince who is a lovable dork, and has the most useless space helmet I've ever seen. So he had three idiots sic him as he continues to gets the Bunnerans power. You'd think I'd mean force them into an army, but no, he literally can inhale powers.
Metroid: By inhaling heavily with his nose, Mashtooth can sap the powers of his targets, giving him a bigger power output and leaving targets weakened. And by flat out swallowing his targets whole, Mashtooth can essentially drain it in an instant.
Thunder: And if he needs defense, he can create a shield around him to protect from attacks, or he can teleport around in a bolt of lightning while having it strike the arena!
Metroid: And when it comes to weaponry, Mashtooth has a scimitar. While he mainly uses it to charge into foes, there's nothing saying he can't use it to hack his foes or do slash attacks.
Thunder: And let's consider the fact even when he was only somewhat done with the Bunnerans, he can effortlessly punch someone up into space in less than a second!
Metroid: However, he wasn't satisfied. Despite having taken all the powers of the Bunnerans, Mashtooth still needed Bunston for power needed for universal domination. And soon enough, Bunston came back, with some help.
Thunder: With Pufftop's own prince coming along, the legendary Starfy! Oh, and Moe too, but Moe doesn't really do shit...
Metroid: And being to fight Starfy is impressive, considering Starfy can match Ogura in battle. In Starfy 2, Ogura's final form creates a lot of stars and a black void, and his defeat causes it to be destroyed. Comparing it other similar feats, this has an output of 1.688e63 joules, enough to wipe out multiple solar systems.
Thunder: And that's just with creation! When it gets destroyed, feats are called around 1.4093732e61 joules, or 140.9373 PetaFoe, which still is Multi-Solar System level. And Starfy just...survives it collapsing.
Metroid: Now one could say Mashtooth may not be comparable to Ogura, but in the Japanese version of the game, Moe outright says Mashtooth is the strongest enemy Starfy has faced, and considering his track record of being right on enemy stats, and weaknesses, it's hard to go against it.
Thunder: And Starfy has dodged lightning based attacks, and could scale to Bunston and Trio's reaction time to piloting their ships, which can reach other planets in what seems to be a short time!
Metroid: But the part that makes this scary is that isn't Mashtooth's peak. After losing, he took advantage of the heroes celebrating, and ate Bunsyon, gaining the power he needed to have universal domination.
Thunder: Oh God, you know SOMEONE out there got the lotion ready after seeing that. But with this, Mashtooth enough power to reach his ultimate form, Mega Mashtooth!
Metroid: In this form, Mashtooth gains an incredible power boost, enough that, if the Terrible Trio didn't turn a new leaf and sided with the good guys could have easily killed Starfy and Moe. Not only that, but he gains new powers here too.
Thunder: He has wings to fly, can summon stronger lighting strikes, and casually throw meteors like baseballs! And he even has energy beams from his mouth strong enough to move Moons!
Metroid: While Starfy was able to defeat him, Mashtooth still nearly took him with him in death. In the end, Bunnera may never truly forget the monster known as Mashtooth.
"Listen up! Strength is everything! As long long as you're strong everything you desire is within your reach!"
Prelude[]
Metroid: Alright, the combatants are set. We've the data through all possibilities.
Thunder: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!
Pre-Fight[]
Planet Bunnera. What was once a peaceful planet had become nothing but a doomed rock. The citizens were scattered everywhere, not dead, but drained of power to the point they could not stand.
And the one behind it, Mashtooth, was sitting on the throne, looking a Swabbie that was shivering while talking to him.
"So...Bunston is coming, is he? Heh heh...soon, his power will be mine." Mashtooth grinned. The Swabbie lifted his hand up fearfully.
"Um...sir? I'm sorry, but...what will you do with Snips, Papes, and Ronk?" He asked, prompting Mashtooth to glare. That was all it took for the Swabbie to cower, and shut his mouth.
"Bring me the last few Bunnerans! I still more power!" Mashtooth demanded, the Swabbie running away to grab one frantically. Exiting the throne room, he rushed over to one downed...not noticing the smoke outside the castle.
Just a he was about to grab the Bunneran, he suddenly was swooped away. The Bunneran blinked, looking around, before suddenly feeling something dripping onto his head. Curious, he lifted a weak hand to see the liquid.
His eyes widened when he realized what it was.
The liquid was red.
It had a metallic smell to it.
The liquid dripping onto him was blood.
Slowly looking up, the Bunneran's eyes shrieked heavily, and his heart beat fast as he saw a figure in the shadows staring him down, small, yet sharp yellow eyes focused on him.
He wanted to scream. He wanted to cry for help. He wanted to anything. But all he did, was freeze up, letting out terrified whimpers and constant deep breaths as the figure continued staring at him. Once the Bunneran found the strength to scream...
...The figure moved and the Bunneran suddenly felt hisnlower half be bisected from his body. His scream unable to come out, and in indescribable agony, the Bunneran fell limp, coughing up blood before the light in his eyes faded.
Meanwhile, Mashtooth began to get impatient, and was about to get up to grab a Bunneran himself...then suddenly saw something being thrown his way. Blocking the projectile, Mashtooth looked down just to see a shocking sight.

Hearing a low laugh, Mashtooth looked upwards to see the same figure. "What's this? Another space pirate, having the audacity to attack a place I've planned a raid for?" The voice boomed at him.
"May I remind you who took over this planet with strength alone? Who do you think you are?!" Mashtooth yelled, before the the figure stepped out...and revealed himself as an eighteen feet long dragon, blood on claws and a sadistic smile that made even Mashtooth shiver.
It was Ridley. "You don't know me? Isn't that funny. But I'll tell you. Many call me the Cunning God of Death. And you...you'll be my next victim, alongside the inhabitants of this pathetic planet."
Although unnerved, Mashtooth stood his ground. "I worked hard to conquer this planet. I won't let you ruin my plans!"
Crushing the bottle in his hands, Mashtooth let put a guttural war cry, lighting striking around them as Ridley grinned widely.
May the bloodbath begin.

Charging at his foe with a snarl, Mashtooth made the first move, attempting to impale Ridley on the edge of his scimitar. The killer of Samus's parents grinned as he flew out of the way, leaving Mashtooth to only stab the wall behind his intended target.
Pulling his blade out, Mashtooth turned around to see Ridley's claws and was slashed across the face. The size of Ridley's claws were more than enough to send him flying across the throne room.
Wiping the blood off his face, Mashtooth looked over to see Ridley towards him with a wide grin. Before he could do try to act, Ridley grabbed him by the head and began to drag him across the floor, flying immense speeds that ripped the ground up.
After that beatdown, Ridley threw Mashtooth out the throne room and down the stairs. Seeing Mashtooth on the ground, the cyborg dragon breathed out stream of plasma that engulfed Mashtooth. Ridley grinned, as he then spoke. "A shame you died so quickly. I wanted to break you like all the others."
His grin faded when he saw Mashtooth stand up, decide the bad burns. Growling, the conqueror of Bunnera raised his blade as he was engulfed in electric energy, before disappearing.
Soon enough the field suddenly was attacked by constant lightning strikes. He swerved around the bolts, laughing evilly...not noticing Mashtooth appearing behind him and leaping at him.
Ridley suddenly felt something slashing at his back; Mashtooth had gotten on him and was hacking away. Ignoring the pain he was in, Ridley spun around grabbing Mashtooth and throwing him into the nearby fountain.
Thinking quick, Ridley ripped out a chunk of a nearby pillar and threw it after, ensuring it was sharp. It struck the red dragon and slammed him into the fountain.
Ridley grinned once again. Now his opponent was in a lose-lose situation. If he stayed he'd drown. If he got out, he'd have to rip out the stone he was impaled on, ensuring his death.
Imagine his surprise when the stone merely flew out of the water and slammed into his chest, sending him flying into orbit. Turns out, Mashtooth wasn't impaled at all, and punched the stone off him. Leaping out of the fountain, Mashtooth coughed up water before looking up and seeing Ridley flying back down, a snarl on his face.
The Cunning God of Death breathed out a barrage of fire, forcing Mashtooth to put up a barrier to block the flames. When it was clear it was gone, Mashtooth lowered it.
However that would be prove to be a mistake, as Ridley's tail came in and wrapped around his neck. Flying up, the Galactic Federation’s most wanted continued to choke the Bunneran Conqueror, his face turning blue as the tail kept tightening, threatening to break his neck.
"If I squeeze enough, your neck will break. If I drop you, you'll splatter against the ground. Either way, you die." Ridlwy explained sadistically, Mashtooth desperately trying to free himself from the grip, just to breathe.
"It must be sad for you, to conquer a planet, before someone superior to you came!" Ridley gloated. "In fact...I think I'll make you just a snack!"
Ridley opened his mouth, ready to chew Mashtooth into bloody chunks. Eyes widening, Mashtooth quickly made a move and rammed his scimitar forth.
It went into Ridley's mouth, a crucial weak point. Blood spilled from his throat as he let out a feral screech. Throwing Mashtooth to the ground, Ridley breathed out kinetic energy down, causing a giant explosion that destroyed the entire palace.
Not just that, it also ignited the area, reducing it to a flaming ruin. Mashtooth, much to his own surprise, was alive, albeit suffering some burns.
But his focus was less on his inuuries and more on everything around him. Bunnera Palace, and large area surrounding it, were now engulfed in flames. The raging inferno wasn't the only thing Mashtooth noticed.
There were screams. Not screams of panic, but of agony. It came from Swabbies, Bunnerans, even Ridley's own space pirates. Speaking of Ridley, he landed down, using the Ultrathermal Flamestrike Projector to blast a flaming shockwave that launched Mashtooth further back into a toppled statue. The red dragon tried to look upwards...
And suddenly felt the tail go right through his body. Looking down at his impatient, he looked at Ridley...who now chewed up a Bunneran who was nearby, his throat healing.
That's when Mashtooth realized he wasn't fighting another space pirate.
He was fighting a monster.
Ridley pulled him close. "You've proven to be a bit of an annoyance. Despite how weak you are, you're still fighting for life. Just accept your place and DIE!"
Mashtooth slowly lifted his head. "I know you're powerful. That's why...I'm going to do this!"
Mashtooth's nose created a powerful suction. Shocked, Ridley pulled his tail out, and attempted to outfly the suction. After a hard attempt, Ridley did, just to feel weaker.
"What...did you do?!" Ridley yelled before seeing Mashtooth glowing white. Before long, a blinding light forced Ridley to look away...before he noticed a shadow over him.
He glanced upwards...to see that Mashtooth was no longer small. He was bow towering over even him, in a brand new form.
Mega Mashtooth had come to play.
"The former stab wound now small, Mashtooth laughed. "Let's see you try and rip me apart now, weakling!" The taunted just pissed off Ridley further. Him? A WEAKLING?
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY PLANETS I'VE LEFT BARREN? HOW MANY PEOPLE I'VE SLAUGHTERED?!" Ridley yelled. "I'LL KILL YOU, AND EVERYONE ON THIS DAMN PLANET!"
Breathing out another stream of plasma, Mashtooth evaded the attack and flew into space, the pissed off Ridley flying after him. When Ridley got close, he was suddenly struck by a fist to the face, knocking him far back.
Refusing to lose anyone, Ridley began launching missiles at Mashtooth, who responded by grabbing a group of nearby meteors and throwing them at them. They collided, exploding, and Ridley even smacked a meteor back.
Seeing his opponent staggered, Ridley flew in, breathing kinetic energy into his face. Mashtooth attempted to block, as Ridley then fired Bombs at him. Mashtooth continued blocking, and when there was an opening began casting lightning down.
The lightning striked, but Ridley still weaved his way around them as he approached, and began clawing, slashing, and biting at Mashtooth everywhere. Blood spilled out of each wound, falling down to the planet below, putting out the fires like a crimson rain.
Mashtooth, enraged, finally punched Ridley away, before getting behind a moon. Determined more than before, Mashtooth shot out an energy beam from his mouth and launching the moon at Ridley.
The purple dragon recovered just in time, and launched his plasma beam against the moon. Both dragons struggled to overpower the other, moon the moon being pushed back and forth as they attempted to slam it into the the other.
Ultimately, Mashtooth would overpower Ridley, the moon slamming into him, damaging his cybernetics. Growling in rage, Ridley started to do something genuinely shocking; claw THROUGH the moon.
Ridley soon enough ripped a giant hole through it, and flew through the energy beam, despite the agony it put him through.
Once he got close, Ridley flew out, and flew right towards Mashtooth’s eye. "DIE!" With that, he impaled his tail through Mashtooth's right up. "JUST DIE ALREADY!" He yelled, Mashtooth screaming in agony.
"WHY..." Ridley began to tugging his tail out. ...WON'T YOU..." The eyeball began to slowly wiggle out. "...DIE?!" And with that, Ridley outright RIPPED out the eyeball, causing Mashtooth to scream in even more pain.
But after that, adrenaline kicked in for Mashtooth, and he grabbed Ridley before he could do anything. Before Ridley could do anything to stop his fate, Ridley felt the grip get tighter, breaking his bones.
With that done, Mashtooth threw him back down to the planet. The impact was enough to leave a crater, and when the smoke cleared, it was revealed Ridley was left a broken mess, but yet, still alive.
Ready to ensure his enemy was gone, Mashtooth prepped up a stronger energy beam from his mouth, aiming it down at Ridley. Due to his wings being destroyed, and having his bones and cybernetics shattered, Ridley only could watch as the beam came closer.
Once it hit, Ridley let out a final screech. Not of fear, not of pain, but of sheer rage at his opponent. Soon his skin, then flesh, then bones burned until not even ash remained.
Ridley was dead. Permanently.
Mashtooth clutched his empty eye socket, breathing heavily yet quietly. Despite his victory, he knew he couldn't celebrate.
After all...he saw Bunston coming. Along with three others.

Thunder: So much blood...so much Carnage...I fucking love it!
Metroid: This fight was admittly, close at first. But as we looked further into it, it became apparent that Mashtooth ultimately edged out.
Thunder: Ridley is pretty impressive, matching Samus who has weapons that can freeze a star, and tanking her strongest weaponry. But Mashtooth just blew that out of the water!
Metroid: Remember that Mashtooth is said by Moe himself that to be the strongest villain they've faced. Which includes Ogura, who can create dozens of stars. And Starfy surviving it's collapse is pretty good too, both reaching multi-solar system level.
Thunder: Yeah, the moon push that Mashtooth dies to was called at dwarf star level, but it calls the moon's destruction. But, as shown a little bit later, the moon's fine! Mashtooth was the one who got destroyed. So the output of the attack could be higher or greater thanks to Mashtooth being bigger than the moon, like his head is the size of it.
Metroid: However, when it came to speed, Ridley significantly held an advantage. Mashtooth can scale those who can pilot ships to planets in what seems to be a short time frame, but Ridley outsped a Gunship which can do the same, but with other star systems instead of planets.
Thunder: And Ridley did have a way bigger arsenal to take advantage off, keeping Mashtooth on his toes constantly. And being experienced and keeping meant he could find a way around Mashtooth's durability and win. So with that...how did he not?"
Metroid: Essentially, it was all to Ridley's own personality. His sadistic nature makes him take his time, which, considering Mashtooth’s strength advantage, that would be a bad act him.
Thunder: While Ridley would try to break Mashtooth, the bunny eater would just go for the kill. And once the fight takes too long, Ridley's gonna lose his temper and stop being Mr. Cunning Psycho.
Metroid: And when that happens, Mashtooth could easily drain Ridley's powers. Sure, due to the size difference he couldn't swallow him whole, but the inhale sapping power will work, leaving Ridley weak and potentially exhausted.
Thunder: Ridley may have insane pain tolerance, like he can undergo surgery for the Meta Ridley form WITHOUT anesthetic, but he wasn't invincible. Especially when it come to his mouth and chest, vital hit points he always staggers about when struck there.
Metroid: All in all, while Ridley was smarter, faster, and way more experienced, his own personality made him victim of Mashtooth's power, including being be able to take his for himself.
Thunder: Ridley just couldn't drag on the fight.
Metroid: The winner is Mashtooth.
