Wiz: Ridley the monstrous nemesis of Samus Aran
Boomstick: And Vile the dangerous rival of Mega Man X.
Wiz: These two are shown to be some of the most cunning, dangerous, and cruel of video game villains. They cause only destruction, terror, and murder wherever they go.
Boomstick: But only one of them can really be the baddest of all the bad. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armors, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!

Both are Villains with a personal connection to the protagonists (Samus/X)
Both have Returned from the dead many times.
Both are Criminals who work under the main villains (Mother Brain/Sigma) who commit their violent actions for personal fulfilment.
Both are Psychotic killers who enjoy death and destruction.
Both are purple
Both defeated their protagonists when they first fought them. (Ridley killed Samus's parents when she was young and almost killed Samus to. Vile defeated X when they first fought, and X would've been destroyed if zero didn't save X.)
Both Have successfully gotten the better of the protagonist's multiple times, and on at least one occasion could have killed them if not for outside intervention from an antagonist turned ally. (Baby Metroid/Zero)
