Like Eve, Rex is the result of a government experiment to create a superhero. Purchased from his destitute family at a very young age by a shadowy organization, he was taken away and enhanced with the ability to charge molecules to an unstable level of power, making any object explosive. After growing up, Rex escaped from that shadowy organization and sought out his family, only to discover they’d had another child and moved on. So he did too, joining the Teen-Team
