Reclusa Vs. Fecto Elfilis is Season 2, Episode 29 of ThunderStar20's Death Battles, pitting Reclusa from the Mario franchise against Fecto Elfilis from the Kirby franchise.

Description[]

When these two appear, the end of a planet's life has come...but who will prove superior?

Interlude[]

Thunder: Reclusa Vs. Fecto Elfilis!

Metroid: The Destroyer of Bonds and Worlds against the Cosmic Ravager of a Forgotten Lands.

Thunder: He's Metroid and I'm Thunder!

Metroid: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Reclusa severs all bonds![]

Metroid: Concordia, a whole new world far from others. This set of islands was capable of immense bonds powered by a special tree.

Thunder: Why do the inhabitants look like sockets?

Metroid: Probably a way of showing they're “connected” in some way. But anyway, this otherwise harmonious world was torn asunder when a fiend known as Zokket and a group known as the Extension Corps tore the land apart, splitting the bonds and making each piece of land a island.

Thunder: Luckily, the Luigi Bros. arrived to save the day! …I know, it's the Mario Bros., but I prefer Luigi WAY more, so…meh.

Metroid: After a lengthy journey across Concordia, Mario and Luigi fought along with the inhabitants to stop the production of a energy called Gholm, which causes people to be irritable to any bonds. And soon they confronted Zokket, and defeated them…just to find out some twists.

Thunder: Zokket wasn't a bad guy, but a person who got mind controlled! And after giving the last of her energy, the real bad guy, emerged; Reclusa!

BACKGROUND:

Age: Unknown, could be millions years old, maybe more

Genocidal Manchild

Has a HIGH body count

Despises bonds

The most fucked up Mario villain, like holy shit….

Aware of the 4th Wall…

Metroid: Reclusa is…without better world, pure evil. Long before he even attacked Concordia, he had come to numerous worlds, wiping out  their populations for the hell of it.

Thunder: And after each successful genocide, the dude would retreat into an egg, recharge himself, then attack another world, rinse and repeat.

Metroid: Usually by brainwashing people into speeding the process. Still, the second he awakens, Reclusa becomes the end bringer. And while not many would be able tto fight him, Mario and Luigi were willing, so Reclusa showed he didn't kill beyond billions by luck alone.

Thunder: He's capable of flight, decoys, and being able to charge up ice or fire attacks! But aside from that he doesn't got TOO much…but if he merges with a thing called the Soli-Tree, things grow tougher as he becomes Weeping Reclusa.

Metroid: Not only does the ground shake from his attacks alone, but Reclusa gains new attacks. He can sweep his new tree arms across the ground, or pluck large spiked fruit from his canopy, throwing them at his target to damage them and potentially hit them with a rock after. However, this can be reflected at him, which, if it hits him, will stun him for awhile, leaving him open for damage.

Thunder: He can also create giant ice projectiles that freeze his targets if they hit, then throwing a giant fireball for extra damage! But if it gets reflected, dude's stunned for awhile  too.

Metroid: Weeping Reclusa can also have wooden protrusions pop out of the ground, fire a giant dark orb of energy, and even release a dark fog that can knock out just about anyone.

Thunder: And if you managed to enter the inside of the tree, well you'll find Reclusa there, but he'll be in this thing called the Weeping Core, which is a spiked shell. It analyzes whatever attack is used against it, and if used twice, the attack will be permanently guarded against, almost completely nullifying  any attack to it! Coward.

Metroid: But with it, he can attack by having the shell charge at foes, the impact being enough that, if a weapon is used to repel it, their weapon will fly out of their hands. And it can also shoot out its spikes and drag them across the ground.

Thunder: But once that core is gone, Reclusa is going all  in; any attacks the core analyzed will do reduced damaged, and he pulls out new tricks like cloning himself and firing energy bullets, but they can be reflected and damage Reclusa.

Metroid: He can petrify targets, although for some reason he refuses to do this if he only has one foe, probably due to his sadism. He can throw energy orbs or even a giant large dark orb that can inflict burn damage onto foes. He can even make it disappear, shrink, or grow, and he can teleport behind foes to fire energy blasts at them, following up a large  one that generates a shockwave upon landing.

Thunder: And he's a crafty fuck too, when Mario and Luigi had him on the  ropes, he pretended to be sorry before he punched the floor to send everyone falling falling their deaths.

Metroid: But perhaps his scariest weapon is the flowers that appear on his arrival. If they managed to catch you, you get put in a dream world; your fantasy. Everything you wished for, everything you want, your vision for how the world could be perfect. However, while the items in it are real…your body actually isn't acquiring anything. So, as you enjoy a world to your liking, your body, in actuality, slowly dies, whether from lack of food or water, lack of rest, or any symptoms from being stationary forever. And if there's anything that may make you not like it, Reclusa can manipulate that world to remove the issues, making you love it.

Thunder: Okay. That is…that's just horrifying.

Metroid: It gets worse, as this is the EXACT method Reclusa used to murder numerous worlds worth of people. So many lives spend thinking they're living their best, snuffed out and leaving barren worlds left behind. All because Reclusa just found solitude superior and found everyone and every world to simply be toys.

Thunder: …Listen, I know we barely use many villains, and we should REALLY fix that. But HOLY SHIT, this guy probably is the worst of the ones we have covered! Like, seriously, what the FUCK?!

Metroid: Him being unopposed made sense, as Mario and Luigi didn't stand a chance against him without the Power of Bonds empowering them. Without the Power of Bonds, the plumber brothers are always able to take on Bowser, who, as we stated before, survived a universe wrecking black hole, and was powered by the same Grand Star that made said black hole.

Thunder: And Mario himself has fought Culex, who was in a timeless void! In other to move, Mario's speed would have to be INFINITE. And Reclusa was a little much for them at first! So he should upscale in power…speed, maybe only slightly.

Metroid: But alas, the Power of Bonds proved too much for Reclusa, and the Mario Bros. defeated him. Even in his final moments, the sadistic loner could only lament about his failure to…well, murder everyone in Concordia.

Thunder: And upon dying, well, everyone got freed…everyone in Concordia at least. But the worlds he destroyed can rest easy knowing this mad man is HOPEFULLY gone forever.

Fecto Elfilis brings upon the end![]

Metroid: Long, long ago, an unknown invasive alien species brought havoc upon the universe. They would move to absorb lifeforms across various planets, becoming “Perfect Lifeforms”, producing different weapons depending on what was absorbed.

Thunder: Kinda sounds like your species…but anyway, these things were a terror, until one day, one got drawn to a singing voice. They rampaged against the wildlife, but were stopped by the population…heavily implied to be humans.

Metroid: With the alien captured, the scientists experimented on it, eventually creating interplanetary warp technology. While helpful, 30 years later, an accident occurred causing it to lost a part of it.

Thunder: It made a cute little critter named Elfilin! And leaving it's other half, Fecto Forgo, behind. But still, the population got wiped out eventually and Forgo managed to manipulate some wildlife into setting it free.

Metroid: And, after an event that got Kirby sent to this other world, Fecto Forgo broke out of captivity. It absorbed many members of a Beast Pack, and eventually reabsorbed Elfilin. He had returned to being Fecto Elfilis.

BACKGROUND:

Title: The Ultimate Life-Form

Specimen ID: F86

Alien that absorbs other organisms

Has a brother

Got powered up by souls once

Dislikes: Radio Towers, Big Rig Trucks

Thunder: And as their true form, Fecto is TERRIFYING. Capable of moving at speed of sound and making attacks at the speed of light!

Metroid: In Fecto's hands is a halberd spear called Antares, making them  a threat at close range. But outside of that, it has several techniques to bring pain, such as Orbital Pulsar, where they duplicate their spear seven times before launching the phantom spears at their foe, or Antares Meteor, where they strike the ground with their spear causing a medium sized shockwave.

Thunder: There's also Green Flash, where Fecto aims their spear straight, charges, then dashes forth, and after said dash, can perform Full Moon, where they spin around with their spear held out making mini shockwaves all the while! Meanwhile Anteras Belt has them rush towards foe with their spear held downwards, usually followed by Antares Meteor. And Moon is really just it prepping FOR Full Moon.

Metroid: Kuiper Belt Wave has Fecto Elfilis open up a small star shaped dimension rift on the ground, then open up five larger ones before they pierce their spear through, creating shockwaves across the battlefield, and Sol has Fecto charge up energy on its horns before unleashing a powerful beam that follows its enemy's movements. If they get caught, they're stuck in it as they suffer immense damage. Even touching the burning ground afterwards will hurt their foe.

Thunder: But once they take too much damage? It'll start warping the sky into a dimension rift-like form, take 0.8x less damage, and get some new nifty attacks! Like opening Another Dimension Gate to drop six meteors onto the arena, and the follow it up with a giant meteor!

Metroid: And with Genome Repairs, they guard and create clones of themselves, if a blue ring closes in, the clones return and heal Fecto. If one manages to defeat the clones in time, it will damage Fecto and stun them.

Thunder: So they're one tough cookie! But alas, he was fighting Kirby, and never ends well if you fight Kirby…unless, you're you-know-who…

Metroid: Still, keeping up with Kirby in a fight is impressive as Kirby fought things that can threaten his cosmology! This includes his own world, Halcandra, Mirror World, the Dream Kingdom, Seventopia, the World of Drawcia, Patch Land, Forgo Dreams, the Samurai Kirby Dimension, the Dream Gears Dimension, and Hades, which is the afterlife.

Thunder: But then you take into considerion all those various dimensions Kirby and co journey through in Return to Dreamland, Heroes in Another Dimension, and Magolor Epilogue, you can add 27 more to the tally!

Metroid: But it's also been confirmed that various sub modes, while being what ifs, are technically canon as the lore shows them as genuinely existing places, or better described as parallel universes. And since they match Kirby's main universe in size, due to sharing many structures.

Thunder: You get 33 more from that. If you count Guest Star Mode or Helper to Hero, you get 55 more! Then mini-games? 26 more!

Metroid: If you stick with the ones that feel more definitive, 43 to 48 universes is the safest bet. But taking them all as that? 152 universes.

Thunder: And scaling to Meta Knight, they got speed scaling that puts them around 6,311 to 6 trillion times light speed! Wow. No wonder Kirbo is always called Nintendo's strongest. Enough that he and Fecto hard enough that Kirby got a chance to free Elfilin.

Metroid: With Elfilin freed, Fecto's body began to degenerate. In a act that was to take their enemies with them, they opened  giant dimensional rift, setting the Forgotten Land and the planet Popstar on a crash course with each other. As the two planets got closer, objects disintegrated as they approached the Roche limit.

Thunder: But Kirby proceeded to use a giant big rig truck and ram Fecto. Even though Fecto still could create rift to throw meteors in that state, and even a forcefield!

Metroid: After his defeat, Elfilin would prevent the planets colliding. As a result? The reign of Fecto Elfilis came to a close. But history wouldn't forget the anarchy they brought.

Prelude[]

Metroid: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.

Thunder: It's time for a Death Battle!

Pre-Fight[]

Finally…after so long, they were free.

Fecto Elfilis floated above the landscape below them, staring at  the vast land….and how they were ready to destroy every piece of it.

No hesitation. Time to bring planetary destruction.

…But before they could, a flicker of energy appeared before them, before their surroundings began to shift. Before long, a flash of light covered them, before they found themself in a new location...

....It seemed really close to a tree.

Ignoring the bizarre moment, Fecto was ready to continue the attack...before seeing something pop up before it.

It was Reclusa.

"Well, well, well! Now how did the likes of you get around my impregnable barrier on the Soli-Tree?" Reclusa questioned the alien, who simply stared. "Speechless? Oh, you must of not expected to break through either."

Reclusa put a a mocking finger to his chin. "But of course, I still need to bring eternal solitude to everyone here, you included~." He said in a sing song tone. "So let's cut to the chase--"

His grand speech was cut off by Fecto abruptly thrusting their spear forth attempting to skewer him. Reclusa evaded, however. "Hey, I'm still speaking here--"

Fecto then punched Reclusa straight in the face, sending him back as the TV Headed maniac shook off the daze. "YOU LITTLE...let me have my fun!"

And with that, Reclusa charged up a fire projectile, before throwing it forth.

Fight[]

The Ultimate Life-Form was swift, immediately leaping over its enemy's attack and attempting to clear the distance. Reclusa made a wide grin, before flying away.

"Try and catch me if you can~!" Reclusa teased, as Fecto merely kept the chase up. Reclusa would start to lob out fire and ice attacks at his opponent, in which Fecto would swat aside with their spear.

With a sneer, Reclusa throw out far more, kicking up smoke and ice from the barrage that Fecto was forced to endure. Once they were certain Reclusa was done, Fecto charged out of the smoke to stab Reclusa.

The Severer of Bonds tried to avoid the damage, but Fecto managed to impale him. Shortly after, the Ultimate Life-Form punched him hard to the floor, his TV screen cracking from the impact.

"I....I..." Reclusa mumbled, before being stomped on by Fecto. After that, he smirked. "I can't believe you're such a moron."

As the Reclusa DECOY disappeared, Fecto looked to see the real one entering the Soli-Tree...and merging with it. Before Fecto's very eyes, they saw the transformation of Weeping Reclusa.

"Let's have fun! Let's see how long you'll last before I undo your existence!" Weeping Reclusa laughed, before unleashing a dark fog into the area...that Fecto flew above. Afterwards, they performed Orbital Pulsar, making seven duplicates of their spear before launching them at the tree.

Reclusa would merely swat away the spears, before bringing the wooden arm down to strike. Fecto slashed down the attacks, then began to close the distance. Using Green Flash, the Invader plowed through various ice projectiles, before stopping stopping swat away a giant fireball at Reclusa.

A yell came from Reclusa as he was stunned, letting Fecto perform Full Moon, striking the tree as it spun around with it's spear out, shockwaves spreading to it as well.

However, a wooden protrusion would hit Fecto from below sending away. The Ultimate Life-Form looked to see Weeping Reclusa plucking fruit from his canopy and throwing it at them. Fecto cut through it, before spotting Reclusa firing a giant orb of dark energy.

The Ultimate Life Form flew up, performing Anteras Belt to catch the dark energy orb then THROW it back, making the maw of Weeping Reclusa open. With that, Fecto flew in....

And landed inside, looking around for his target.

“A stubborn twit, aren't you?”

Fecto looked to see Reclusa, inside the Weeping Core  glaring at them despite his grin. “But I'm afraid this is about as far as you go, furball!”

Fecto's response was to perform Kuiper Belt Wave, creating dimension rifts they thrusted their spear into, the shockwaves occurring striking the Weeping Core. Quickly charging at each other , Fecto clashed their spear against  the Weeping Core's spikes, sparks flying before Fecto slashed away Reclusa.

Knocked back, Reclusa looked up to see Fecto stabbing the spear into the core again. This act proved to be a mistake…as their spear flew from their hands

“Fah hahaha! Come on, aren't you gonna keep attacking?” Reclusa taunted. “Or did ya notice you can't do much with that?”

Reclusa rammed into Fecto again,  before shooting out the spikes, hitting them hard. The Ultimate Life-Form was struck to the floor, where Reclusa attempted to crush him with the Weeping Core.

…He didn't get the chance as Fecto flew up past it. Afterwards, he began to charge energy in his horns before unleashing it as a giant beam, striking the Weeping Core…and causing a giant explosion that blew apart the Soli-Tree.

Believing Reclusa dead, Fecto retrieved their spear and turned to leave and attack the rest of this new world…

An energy orb hit them in the back, knocking them to the floor. Standing up, Fecto looked behind them to see Reclusa looking very livid.

“GRAAAAH! You're so ANNOYING. Can't you just let it go how its supposed to go?!” Reclusa yelled, creating several clones that fired numerous energy bullets, hitting the Ultimate Life-Form. An explosion occurred…before a swipe of the spear revealed Fecto not only alive….but very angry with this stubborn victim.

The sky shifted into a weird dimensional rift-like form. Fecto would now create several clones of their own, creating a army battle.

One Fecto would slash at a Reclusa, just for another to open fire. Another Fecto would then impale that one through the chest, just for yet another Reclusa to use fire and ice projectiles to incinerate them.

A Fecto would open up a hole in space to launch meteors onto the field. The Reclusas were struck, leaving one left as a giant meteor soon followed.

Grinning wide, Reclusa made a dark orb of energy and yelled out “DISAPPEAR!”, the giant projectile disappearing…then reappearing behind the Fectos and hitting  them, smashing them into the ground.

When the dust clear, Fecto Elfilis was barely able to stand. As it tried, Reclusa stomped on its head, pinning it down. “Aw, so sad…~” He mocked. “Looks like you couldn't do anything to stop me from putting you down, huh?”

He saw Fecto lift a hand up. “Oh, you think you're gonna stop me still? Well, it doesn't matter, before YOU are gonna be the one too–”

A large rumble cut off Reclusa, as he looked behind him, just to spot a sight that even stunned him.

A dimension rift opened…with a star shaped planet coming forth. Reclusa stared at the sight in shock as Fecto slowly stood, both Concordia and and Popstar came close to the Roche limit.

“You think you'll stop me with THIS? YOU'RE NOTHING!” Reclusa yelled, throwing a punch at Fecto that was blocked with a forcefield.

Then they saw Reclusa grin.

Then they felt something wrap around their head.

A flower had got them.

“Yes…now, behold your dream world in your final moments! Enjoy life for a few minutes! AHAHAAHAHA!”

Reclusa victory was assured…but he noticed Fecto seemed to be clenching it's fist. Thinking something was wrong, the Bond Severer viewed the dream world….

…To find Fecto crushing a skull atop a mound of bodies.

“What the…?” Reclusa asked, shocked. The flowers were supposed to show a “happy” world with those who were close with the victim…but this…thing, didn't seem to…have anyone bonded?

Dumbfounded, Reclusa tried to manipulate the world to a “normal” state, just for Fecto to lift their spear…

…and slash through the world…and the flower. Reclusa, still shocked, stared as Fecto Elfilis stood before him…having an immense death glare.

“This isn't right….you're supposed to enjoy the world….and perish without–”

Fecto didn't let him do another speech, and impaled him through the chest. They flew to a nearby wall, slamming Reclusa against it, then followed up with a brutal set of punches to his face.

Each punch cracked his screen more, and more, until Reclusa could barely even. “No…stop….”

He felt Fecto's hands clench his head, the pressure growing, and frantically cried one last sentence.

“NO, STOP IT–”

His words fell on deaf eyes, as Fecto, without hesitation, nor remorse…crushed his head like a grape.

Reclusa has died.

Fecto kicked the body off their spear, and flew off Concordia. They stared quietly as both Concordia and Popstar were getting closer and closer to colliding…

And zoomed off, seeing no reason to watch the deaths of two worlds.

Results[]

Thunder: ….That's two worlds fucked. Our bad.

Metroid: This battle was an immensely close bout, but more often than not, Fecto Elfilis wins. Let's being three categories, first, strength.

Thunder: Reclusa should upscale from the Mario Bros., who fought Bowser, who survived universe wrecking black holes. Cool, but Fecto had that beat with his bout with Kirby.

Metroid: Kirby has fought threats to his whole cosmology, which at minimum, has 43 universes. Even the minimum is far greater than universe destruction, so in the long one, Fecto Elfilis takes strength.

Thunder: Speed was a different story! Fecto should scale to Meta Knight flying to Popstar at 8 trillion times light speed, which is HELLA impressive…but Reclusa kept up with Mario.

Metroid: Who, when fighting Culex, fought in a timeless void, which would require Infinite speed to even move. So with that speed goes to Reclusa.

Thunder: So this came down to powers. And honestly, they had some similar tricks; cloning, shockwave, projectiles, the works.

Metroid: However, Reclusa had an issue where not only were his attacks capable of being reflected, but also capable of stunning him and leaving him open, something most of Fecto's kit didn't have an issue with.

Thunder: So he honestly could just keep spinning that spear until Reclusa gets stunned one too many times!

Metroid: One could argue the Weeping Core could be a good counterargument, but it still needs to take a hit to analyze moves, and with the strength gap, Fecto could easily destroy it with a single hit if we're being honest.

Thunder: But I know what you're thinking; what if Fecto got caught by those flowers? Wouldn't it be game over for him then?

Metroid: Surprisingly, no. The flowers make a dream world based on the fantasies of their targets, but even then, it's actually not surefire. Mario and Luigi were trapped in one that had Bowser stop being evil, the Mushroom Kingdom be at peace…but simply because they had a feeling they had a feeling something was wrong they managed to eventually break free.

Thunder: And well, Fecto's a world destroying monster. He'd probably fantasize destroying ANOTHER world, destroy the dream world, and the flower with it, and continue the fight.

Metroid: And perhaps the biggest flaw of Reclusa; he is…well, a manchild, and will likely leave himself open. Not only will he stop to do a speech, but he likely will start ranting over things not going his way, especially if Fecto just keep bombarding him with numerous attacks.

Thunder: Which meant, despite has absurdly fast Reclusa is, and the fact unlike Fecto he never got captured, he'd leave himself WIDE open for Fecto to land a killing blow before he'd be able to land one on him. See? Focusing on the target instead of taking time makes the fight go better for you!

Metroid: Reclusa's speed made this a hassle, but Fecto Elfilis had the strength and powers needed to prevail.

Thunder: Reclusa thought he had bloomed his victory, but Fecto just made him forgo life.

Metroid: The winner is Fecto Elfilis.

Fecto Elfilis (Winner):

+ Stronger

+ Far more direct and to the point

+ Could straight up ignore the flower's ability

+ Capable of reflecting a majority of the attacks

- Far slower

- Potentially less skilled at Conquest

Reclusa (Loser):

+ Faster

+ More skilled at conquest

+ Weeping Core could nullify damage to him....

+ Could win with the flowers....

- But the Weeping Core likely will shatter with a good hit

- But the flowers won't be surefire or effective

- Far weaker

- Immature and likely to mess about

- His own attacks can be reflected at him
