Description:[]
Pokemon vs Final Fantasy! The Lords of the Sky will battle it out for the supreme ruler of the air! Will Rayquaza restore balance to its world by ridding it of the Dragon King? Or will the flames of Megaflare spell doom for the Sky High Pokemon?
Interlude:[]
Wiz: Legends around the world tell of creatures so majestic and so powerful that people would be struck with fear and awe at the sight of them. Some bring good tidings, while others come hell bent on destruction.
Boomstick: It just depended on who you asked. Asia was having a great time while Europe was cowering in their huts like me when ol' wifey discovered her love for rum.
Wiz: Sometimes I feel like you still miss her. Boomstick.
Boomstick: One of 'em.
Wiz: Right, anyway, one dragon may be the savior of the world, while the other may just accidentally destroy it.
Boomstick: Like Rayquaza, the Sky High legend of the air.
Wiz: And Bahamut, the Dragon King of Final Fantasy.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skill to see who would win a Death Battle.
Rayquaza:[]
Wiz: Thousands of years ago, the ground of the Hoenn region shone brightly with natural energy, drawing the primals to fight for power.
Boomstick: Groudon fought for an overabundance of land whereas Kyogre fought for an overabundance of sea. Naturally the Hoenn region became a shitty place to live, so the Draconians sought after a savior.
Wiz: Their prayers became answered as the legendary Pokemon Rayquaza broke up the fight between the two primal pokemon, ending years of conflict. However, thousands of years later, cracks began to form in the ground, stirring the Pokemon from their slumber.
Boomstick: However this time things were different. The new kid on the block ended up being the one to quiet the legendary beasts, leaving Rayquaza to do it’s own thing.
Wiz: Until one of the last Draconians, a woman named Zinnia, began to gather what she needed to summon Rayquaza.
Boomstick: At the cost of every other defense against an incoming planet destroying meteor, that is.
Wiz: While not the most logically sound plan, it failed at first as Rayquaza didn’t have the power to destroy the meteor. Well that is until it swallowed a special meteorite.
Boomstick: Then the giant green space dildo dragon digivolved and obliterated the meteor! Or something along the lines.
Wiz: Rayquaza is as legendary as it gets. With awe inspiring moves like Draco Meteor, Ice Beam to freeze foes, Twister to stun foes, and Dragon Dance to increase its physical capabilities.
Boomstick: It could blast its foes with Dragon Pulse, give itself a boost in power with Ancient Power, or slow down its opponents with a Scary Face.
Wiz: If the Sky High Pokemon needs to heal, it can find some time to use Rest, though it's not guaranteed to be safe from harm.
Boomstick: Due to it being a Dragon and Flying type, it can seriously harm other dragons, blades of grass, bugs, and those lower tier foes who fight on the ground.
Wiz: Though on the other hand, being a dragon itself, Rayquaza is subject to being hurt by other dragons.
Boomstick: Being cold-blooded does have some negatives as well, since it’s incredibly weak to ice. And for some reason pebbles.
Wiz: Don’t forget the fairies.
Boomstick: Those BASTARDS!
Wiz: Anyway, Rayquaza’s special ability Air Lock clears the air of rain or harsh sunlight so that way no advantages are given to its opponent.
Boomstick: Rayquaza is a force of nature, literally. It’s capable of keeping pace with Deoxys and consistently its equal, and it’s superior to both Groudon and Kyogre at the same time.
Wiz: As far as its speed goes, it can keep up with Deoxys, a Pokemon known for its interstellar travel.
Boomstick: That may sound impressive, but luckily for the Sky High Pokemon, it’s one of the only few who can mega evolve without a trainer. It gains a new move called Dragon Ascent, which lets Rayquaza put its power into maximum ramming speed!
Wiz: This new form of Rayquaza receives a massive power boost. It can keep up with legendaries like Solgaleo and Lunala who both cross thousands of light years in minutes, as well as contend with Ultra Necrozma.
Boomstick: It’s stated that Necrozma’s light illuminates and entire universe. Converting that to energy output, that’s 2.75 KiloFOE! And I said Mega Rayquaza could contend with ULTRA Necrozma.
Wiz: That's just at face value. Ultra Space is described to be infinite in size with an infinite amount of portals leading to different dimensions. And Ultra Necrozma lights it up just by merely existing.
Boomstick: If you really wanna push it, this would make Solgaleo and Lunala crossing an infinite distance to get to the dimension they want WAY faster than just "faster than light", and Rayquaza is comparable to them still!
Wiz: Rayquaza is an impressive beast, but it’s weakness to the Dragon type could ultimately be its greatest downfall.
Boomstick: At the same time, Rayquaza is the guardian of the skies and has stopped planet ending threats quite a few times, so maybe the Dragon King won't do much to hurt our big ol’ snake.
Bahamut:[]
Wiz: Before the mega cities and civilizations formed on Gaia, a race known as the Cetra took up a job as the caretaker of the planet. They would use the Lifestream to cultivate the land to make it fertile.
Boomstick: These land-faring spirit hippies would take care of the planet while the rest of the planet’s inhabitants just lazied around.
Wiz: Up until their eventual extinction at the hands of Jenova and her offspring, the Cetra remained very spiritual. Even going as far as to revere what they called a “dragon king”.
Boomstick: This dragon king was revered by all of the Cetra and by nerds who wanted big damage in their RPG: Bahamut.
Wiz: Consistently stated to be the dragon king and the God of Eidolons in most Final Fantasy games, Bahamut is a powerful being with the capability to wipe out all life on the planet.
