INTERLUDE
Wiz: In exploring the dangerous depths of space no two cosmic duos are better than these two pairs.
Boomstick: Ratchet and Clank the Cosmic Commandos.
Wiz: And Rocket and Groot the intergalactic space mercenaries.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm BoomStick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a death battle!
Ratchet and Clank[]
Boomstick: The story begins with Ratchet who is a... Lombax? Is he supposed to be half Lemur half wombat?
Wiz: Nobody knows for sure Boomstick. Anyway, on the planet Veldin Ratchet used his expert mechanic skills with his trusty omniwrench working construction in a garage. However, his true dream was to one day become a member of the Galactic Rangers, a group of heroes who protect the galaxy.
Boomstick: So, when Galactic Ranger tryouts for new recruits came to his planet he signed up and succeeded the course but he was rejected anyway by Captain Qwark. So, later that night when Ratchet was laying down looking at the stars and feeling sorry for himself and with Ratchet's luck it's not like something was going to drop out of the sky to make things better or anything.
(Something drops out of the sky revealing to be Clank in a spaceship.)
Boomstick: Well... ok then.
Wiz: This was the Sentry bot XJ-0461.
Boomstick: But that's hard to say in conversation and he makes a clanky sound when he falls over so...
Ratchet: Maybe I'll just call you Clank.
Boomstick: You see, he came from a robot killing machine making factory but when the factory malfunctioned accidentally creating this little guy the place's most deadly robot Victor Von Ion was ordered to destroy him. After dodging a barrage of lasers, missiles, fire etc Clank escaped in a spaceship, ended up with Ratchet and together they became the greatest hero duo in the galaxy.
Wiz: They may seem like a strange pair but they are a great team. Ratchet is proficient in martial arts, survival skills, stealth and much more but what he really uses to his advantage is his proficiency with his wide arsenal of versatile weaponry.
Boomstick: "Wide" is an understatement. He has a shitload of countless badass weapons which we'll get to in a moment.
Wiz: And despite his puny size, Clank isn't a bad fighter himself as he has been shown to be able to fight some enemies on his own with a robotic spinning arms technique and he is extremely intelligent but what really makes him a useful sidekick for Ratchet is his ability to be used as a personal helicopter and even a jetpack.
Boomstick: And turns out Clank's creation wasn't completely accidental.
Wiz: He possesses the soul of a Zoni. Energy based creatures that can control, slow down time, and even be immune to time-altering effects. Abilities which Clank possesses.
Boomstick: That's right, he's a robot time wizard!
Wiz: Clank also has the chronoscepter, a large golden scepter given to Clank by the Zoni. Clank can use it as a melee weapon much like Ratchet's wrench and it can shoot time bombs which slow down time in a specific area.
Boomstick: But, that's not all! Clank can also transform into his super form Giant Clank. Giant Clank is strong enough to punch down buildings and is armed with weaponry. I'm talking shooting rockets from his arms, lasers, and energy bombs.
Wiz: Ratchet and Clank are both loaded with nanotech, microscopic machines which repair their bodies from injury giving them extra defense/durability but it is limited in supply.
Boomstick: Senator Armstrong would approve. Nanotech son!
Wiz: Back to Ratchet himself, besides his omniwrench to fend off foes he also has a bunch of powerful weapons at his disposal. I'm sure you'll have fun with this, I'm going to work on an experiment in the meantime so take it away BoomStick.
Boomstick: With pleasure Wiz! First off on the awesome weapons list is the warmonger a rocket launcher that fires multiple rockets at once.
Boomstick: The megaturret gun sets and implants a bunch of auto-firing machine guns that can destroy tanks!
Boomstick: Ratchet has his dual omniblasters which are dual laser pistols.
Boomstick: The vortex cannon sucks up little enemies and shoots them out like little flaming meteors.
Boomstick: The pyrocitor is a flamethrower with flames hot enough to disintegrate foes with enough burning.
Boomstick: The liquid nitrogen gun is a freeze ray to freeze enemies into solid icicles.
Boomstick: The groovitron which summons a disco ball that forces foes to randomly dance!
Wiz: I'm back, that was fun. Anyway, Ratchet's arsenal also includes energy shields...
Wiz: razor claws...
Wiz: ... And various drones to assist him in battle.
Wiz: Ratchet even has weapons that can morph enemies into things weakening and defeating them. Like the Sheepinator which fires a ray to turn enemies into adorable sheep.
Wiz: And the pixelizer which pixelates enemies to look like... an old school video game character.
Wiz: However, don't overestimate these two weapons. As cheap as they may seem they are most effective on small, weak enemies but take awhile to work on bigger and stronger foes.
Boomstick: Ratchet's also got doom blades, fired from a gun that shoots blades just as rapid-fire and OP as MegaMan's metal blades!
Boomstick: The bouncer which launches a large bomb which releases smaller homing bombs when it explodes.
Wiz: And the proton drum a metallic ball that retracts its wall revealing a pulsating orb of pink energy that expels shockwaves repeatedly zapping enemies with electricity damaging and keeping them in place.
Wiz: With their weapons and abilities Ratchet and Clank have...
Boomstick: WAIT! Let's not forget my all-time favorite weapon of Ratchet's. The RYNO 5. Designed as the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, Part mini-gun, part rocket launcher this beautiful, badass thing unleashes a river of death in what ever direction she's facing all while listening to the classic song Tchaikovsky's " 1812 Overture".
Wiz: Right! Anyway, Ratchet and Clank have accomplished quite impressive things like first off saving the galaxy from the evil Dr. Nefarious.
Boomstick: And strong enough to stop a War grok with just an omniwrench, fast enough to dodge close range lasers fire, durable enough to survive crash landing in their ship with an explosion and even the vacuum of space.
Wiz: However, being able to survive deadly blows is entirely thanks to their limited supply of nanotech. That being said, if they run out of microbots then the next hit is sure to be fatal but Ratchet and Clank's greatest strength doesn't come from any weapons or nanotech but rather their unbreakable bond of...
Boomstick: NO, you aren't saying that cheesy shit again! SKIP TO ANALYSIS OUTRO!
Wiz: Hey! WAIT...
( Shows Ratchet flying high in the sky with Clank as a jetpack)
Rocket and Groot[]
Wiz: Rocket and Groot are the intergalactic space mercenaries and members of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Boomstick: ... Is that a Raccoon and a tree?
Wiz: Yup, Rocket and Groot are a formidable pair. But before they got together Rocket was brought to the Halfworld planet in the Keystone Quadrant star system, he was genetically and cybernetically enhanced so that he was given sentient intelligence. However, years of abuse and repetitive genetic rewrite caused him, to develop a vain and chaotic personality, naming himself Rocket and driving in to becoming a gunslinging mercenary.
Boomstick: Then he met Groot the tree monster Flora species from the Planet X. Somehow Rocket can understand what he's saying despite this tree guy being such an idiot that the only 3 words he can say are...
Groot: I am Groot.
Wiz: ACTUALLY BoomStick, Groot possesses hyper-intelligence with human level intellect. The REAL reason he can only say those 3 words is because Groot's robust and heavyweight physiology causes the organs of his acoustic generation to become stiff and inflexible, rendering the limits of his speech to the simple phrase, " I am Groot".
Boomstick: What?!
Wiz: Um, well in layman's terms basically there's too much shit clogged up in his vocal cords.
Boomstick: Got it.
Wiz: Anyway starting with Rocket, being a Raccoon, Rocket possesses the normal attributes of one including speed which has been further amplified by his training and smell, sight, hearing, and touch beyond that of the average human. Plus, his sharp claws allow him to scratch foes, scale walls, buildings, and trees with ease.
Boomstick: But of course since he's an anthropomorphic Raccoon from the world of Marvel comic books there is a lot more to him than that of any real raccoon. He's an expert martial artist who is skilled in many fighting styles, a master tactician and strategist, an accomplished pilot, and most importantly an expert marksman well-versed in his large supply of weaponry.
Wiz: While he prefers his dual laser pistols he also has a variety of more weaponry at his disposal.
Boomstick: Rocket's laser cannon shoots a beam that electrocutes foes repeatedly.
Wiz: And you certainly don't want to be around him when he's got his machine gun in hand.
Boomstick: He's also got plenty of grenades at hand that can have enough destructive power to blow up walls. Grenades which he created himself! I like this guy's style, I craft my own grenades too... and my shotguns.
Wiz: But what's more dangerous is his 1 gas grenade which emits a sleeping gas knocking foes out.
Boomstick: Rocket also has a... ROCKET launcher! Ha! Get it Wiz? ROCKET launcher?
Wiz: ... ANYWAY, his rocket launcher has enough firepower to blow up small ships.
Boomstick: His laser energy gun blasts a large laser energy ball doing massive damage.
Boomstick: His big blaster unleashes a powerful blast of explosive ammo.
Boomstick: Rocket's plasma knife can cut through things like a lightsaber.
Wiz: Rocket's Arsenal also includes energy shields...
Boomstick: His own jetpack...
Wiz: And a variety of tricks and traps. Like when he brings a giant log out of nowhere tied from above which swings down on the opponent.
Boomstick: Or when he sets a giant spring trap which launches opponents high in the sky.
Wiz: And his trap which leaves foes stuck in the ground vulnerable to attack.
Boomstick: Lastly and best of all is Rocket's ultimate weapon. Part mini-gun part Gatling gun. This beauty unleashes an extremely rapid fire river of death in whatever direction she's facing.
Wiz: Then there's his partner Groot. Groot is formidable in his own way as well. While Rocket serves as the strategist and weapons expert, Groot uses his natural abilities as a tree being the physical brute of the pair. Groot can manipulate his tree body in a variety of ways like extending his branches to wrap around people to hold/grab them and Groot can extend his branch arms long distances to attack foes.
Boomstick: Yeah, like the time when he impaled 5 bad guys at once and then swung them all at the other other guys knocking them out, then repeatedly and mercilessly continued to slam the 5 guys against the walls and when he was done he smiled to his friends. Damn, don't mess with this tree monster.
Wiz: Groot can also use his branches to create large durable shields made out of himself.
Boomstick: Groot can even manipulate his tree body to grow to giant size.
Wiz: Lastly, Groot has a healing factor than can re-generate pieces of himself that have been destroyed however it does take time.
Boomstick: Rocket and Groot together have accomplished quite a lot. Rocket and Groot have shot and destroyed a moving Badoon starship, taken out some armed um... crazy clowns? Ok... and Rocket and Groot along the rest of the Guardians have blasted and beat up Thanos with various firearms.
Wiz: In indidivual feats even without his firearms Rocket is one tough son of a bitch. Rocket is strong to tear apart metal robots with his bare hands, beat up armored guards, and a large alien. He's fast enough to dodge lasers and gunfire, and he's durable enough to tank explosions, survive an energy blast from Ultron, and withstand being crushed by debris breaking out from underneath not hurt or damaged at all.
Boomstick: Groot is strong enough to lift and destroy a tank and destroy a hard metal prison. He's fast enough to dodge lasers and bullets, and durable enough to withstand being tossed from orbit down to a planet, and withstand hits from the Hulk and a weakened Thanos.
Wiz: Though they aren't always so great at working as a team. Rocket often gets angry with Groot calling him an idiot but deep down does care for him more than anyone else. Regardless, with Groot's strength and Rocket on his shoulder firing the shots and forming their strategy Rocket and Groot are quite the intergalactic duo.
Boomstick: And they will do what ever it takes to save the galaxy.
( (Rocket fires his machine gun from on top of Groot as they both scream as the drones around them are being destroyed.)
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a death battle!!!!!!
Battle[]
On the planet Veldin, Ratchet and Clank were flying in their spaceship headed for a mission to stop another Warbot and Blarg invasion on the planet Batalia.
Ratchet: Alright Clank, set the coordinates for Batalia.
Clank: Setting coordinate system for... huh?
Ratchet: What's wrong buddy?
Clank: There appears to be a strange ship up ahead.
Clank points forwards as Ratchet looks and sees another spaceship from the distance heading their way. Inside the ship are Rocket and Groot.
Rocket: Where the hell are we?
Groot: I am Groot.
Rocket: A ship up ahead you say? Damn it, must be those alien bastards that have been following us. That's it, sayonara suckers!
Rocket clicked a button activating his ship's laser cannons. Rocket fired a large laser beam towards Ratchet and Clank's ship.
Clank: Ratchet! Look out!
Ratchet reacted quickly and steered the ship to do a barrel roll dodging the laser.
Ratchet: Must be a Blarg ship. Let's take it down.
Ratchet started firing lasers back as Rocket retaliated shooting more lasers as well. Both ships continued dodging until Ratchet shot multiple powerful tesla rockets at Rocket's ship and Rocket shot a giant laser beam at Ratchet's ship. Both ships are sent hurtling down. They crash land as both duos are ejected out landing on the ground crawling out. Ratchet and Clank use a nanotech box to heal themselves. As the duos get up and look at each other they are shocked.
Ratchet: What?! A Raccoon and a tree?
Rocket: What?! A fox and a robot?
Ratchet: Who are you guys?
Rocket: Tell me who you guys are first!
Ratchet and Rocket get up at each other's faces angrily with hostility. Ratchet holding up his omniwrench while Rocket is pointing his laser cannon at Ratchet. Clank runs up quickly to be the voice of reason. Meanwhile, Groot is just standing there next to them.
Clank: Wait! It appears we are all simply at a misunderstanding. We mistook you as enemies of ours and I'm sure you did the same.
Rocket: OH, then I guess that makes everything OK and we can all be buddies ...NO! We're stuck here thanks to you!
Ratchet: Hey, you attacked first!
Rocket is done talking and starts looking on his scouter analyzing how much they're worth if captured and taken in. On his scouter screen they are looking at him confused as a large number pops up as his jaw drops.
Rocket: 100,000 units! Groot! We'll be rich!
Groot is in the distance just looking at their broken ship with a sad look on his face. Rocket sees this, angrily runs up to him, jumps up and slaps Groot in the face.
Rocket: Groot! Pay attention, you idiot! If we beat and bring these guys in we'll be swimming in cash! Here's the plan, I take on the fox and you take on the little robot.
It cuts to Ratchet and Clank talking.
Ratchet: Here's the plan, I take on the Raccoon and you take on the tree monster.
Clank(sighs): I wish we didn't always have to resort to violence.
Rocket: Alright, enough fucking around! Let's do this!
Rocket takes out his laser gun loading it up as Groot gets into a fighting stance. Ratchet takes his omniwrench back out as Clank gets in a fighting stance.
Rocket starts firing shots from his laser cannon at Ratchet but Ratchet blocks and deflects the shots with his omniwrench while running towards Rocket. Rocket changes tactics and takes out his dual laser pistols while Ratchet takes out his dual omniblasters, his own dual laser pistols. Ratchet and Rocket start shooting at each other while jumping and dodging each other's shots. Meanwhile, Clank runs up at Groot. Groot launches his branches at Clank but Clank jumps over them and lands on one of Groot's branch arms and starts running up on it. Clank reaches in front of Groot's face and Clank spins his robotic arms smacking Groot in the face repeatedly and then takes out the chronoscepter smacking him in the face with that too. Groot gets irritated and grabs Clank in his hand.
Groot pulls back his other arm preparing a punch but Clank quickly uses the chronoscepter shooting a time bomb at Groot's face slowing down time slowing Groot's punch that is coming towards Clank. As Groot's slowed down punch is coming towards Clank, Clank is trying to escape Groot's grip. However, it's no use as the time stop effect then wears off and as soon as it does Groot's fist reaches Clank punching him and sending Clank flying through the air. It cuts back to Ratchet and Rocket who are still shooting at each other with their dual laser pistols, as the shots get too hard to dodge they both activate their energy shields blocking each other's lasers. However, Rocket then takes out his laser energy gun and shoots a large laser energy ball at Ratchet. Ratchet keeps the energy shield up to block but the large laser energy ball is too strong and breaks through the shield directly hitting Ratchet hurting and knocking him back.
Rocket: HA! Give up fox, I'm equipped with the best weaponry in the galaxy.
Rocket takes out his rocket launcher and fires a rocket at Ratchet. However, Ratchet takes out his own rocket launcher, the warmonger and fires MULTIPLE rockets at Rocket, one of which destroy the rocket that Rocket fired. Rocket's eyes widened in shock as suddenly the multiple fast rockets approach and hit him exploding on him, blasting him in the air and knocking him back as he falls to the ground hurt.
Ratchet: Maybe your weapons are the best in the galaxy where YOU come from, but here I'm #1 in that league.
Rocket gets up angrily with bruise marks from the blasts.
Rocket: Is that so? Get a load of this!
Rocket takes out his big blaster and blasts a round of explosive ammo which Ratchet jumps away dodging. Meanwhile, Clank who is falling down a cliff activates jetpack mode flying back up and flies towards Groot. Groot grows multiple branches which he launches at Clank which Clank flies around dodging and then sets multiple time bombs around Groot with the chronoscepter. They detonate as time is slowed down for Groot, his branches still slowly trying to reach Clank. Clank thinks about how to use the time and comes up with a strange plan of attack. Clank descends down to the ground, activates helicopter mode, walks in between Groot's legs as the helicopter blades on Clank's head cut Groot in... the wrong spot. Groot screams in pain as some pieces of bark are shredded off of him. The time slowing wears off as the angry Groot kicks Clank knocking him back and launches branches at him hitting Clank hurting him a lot and pinning him against a wall. Groot then started pulling Clank back towards him.
It cuts back to Ratchet and Rocket as Ratchet is still dodging explosive blasts that Rocket shoots from his big blaster. Ratchet starts firing back with the warmonger. Rocket prepared jumps over the rockets dodging this time. Rocket then gets a precise shot by cleverly aiming above Ratchet knowing that Ratchet would try to dodge by jumping. The explosion blasts Ratchet in the air as Rocket pulls out a grenade.
Rocket: Rest in pieces!
Rocket threw the grenade at the mid-air Ratchet exploding on him knocking him to the ground injured and bruised behind a wall of smoke created from the explosions. Rocket assumes that Ratchet is finished as Rocket turns around seeing Groot holding a weakened Clank in his hands about to rip Clank's head off.
Rocket: Finish him off!
Groot: I am Groot.
Rocket: Yes, ok! We can get food after this, just kill him already you idiot!
Meanwhile, as the smoke clears around Ratchet he sees what is about to happen.
Ratchet: Clank!
Ratchet thinks quickly and takes out the vortex cannon running out of the smoke towards Rocket. Rocket turns around as his eyes widen.
Rocket: What the fu...!
Ratchet sucks Rocket inside the vortex cannon and then shoots him out towards Groot. Rocket is on fire as he is blasted through the air and gets knocked into Groot knocking Groot down as Clank is knocked out of Groot's grasp and Ratchet catches Clank in his arms.
Clank: Thanks and that was very clever.
Ratchet: You aren't the only one who can be smart pal.
Ratchet sets Clank down as he stands next to him. Rocket's tail is still on fire as he swings it to put out the flames. Rocket and Groot both get up as Rocket is mad.
Rocket: That's it! You're pissing me off!
Ratchet: Oh really? I know just the thing to calm your nerves.
Ratchet throws a disco ball, the groovitron towards Rocket and Groot landing in front of them. This confuses them.
Rocket: A disco ball? What the hell is that supposed to... what the?!
The disco ball rises above Rocket and Groot shining multi-colored lights and playing Michael Jackson music, the song Beat it. Rocket and Groot start uncontrollably dancing against their will. Rocket is swinging his tail and Groot is swinging his branches as both Rocket and Groot start moonwalking. Ratchet and Clank laugh.
Clank: What should we do now?
Ratchet: Let's add some more lights!
Ratchet takes out the proton drum shooting a large orb of pulsating pink energy in between Rocket and Groot that starts electrocuting them repeatedly hurting them while they are still dancing. Ratchet and Clank keep laughing. However, Rocket soon manages to resist the dancing and pulls out his machine gun shooting and destroying the disco ball and the proton drum ending the dancing and electrocution. Ratchet and Clank are surprised.
Clank: ... Oh dear.
Rocket: ...Oh...yeah!
Rocket starts firing from his machine gun shooting at Ratchet and Clank.
Ratchet: Oh god, Clank! Quickly hop on my back and activate jetpack mode!
Clank jumps on Ratchet's back activating jetpack mode as Ratchet and Clank fly up to the sky dodging the bullets just in time. Rocket straps on his own jetpack and activates it flying up after them. Ratchet and Clank see this as Rocket flies towards them and continues unleashing a stream of bullets from his machine gun towards them. They dodge some but Ratchet is then hit by some bullets hurting him as he holds his chest in pain bleeding.
Clank: Ratchet! Are you ok?
Ratchet: Yeah, I'm fine. That's it! Let's try this!
Ratchet takes out the doom blade gun and starts shooting rapid-fire doom blades at Rocket that hit him many times from multiple directions knocking him back hurting him. Ratchet then whispers a plan to Clank as Ratchet and Clank then quickly fly at Rocket as Ratchet takes out his omniwrench and Clank takes out the chronoscepter. Ratchet smacks Rocket in the head with the omniwrench while Clank at the same time smacks Rocket in the head with the chronoscepter. Rocket is hit with so much force that he is sent plummeting to the ground. Ratchet and Clank high five but suddenly Ratchet is punched by a branch arm of Groot's that had extended all the way up to them. Ratchet is then punched multiple more times by many of Groot's branches until Groot then wraps many branches around Ratchet and Clank holding and pulling them down. They struggle to break free but to no avail.
Groot who is holding Ratchet and Clank brings them in front of Rocket.
Rocket: Awesome job Groot! You finally did something right.
Ratchet and Clank keep struggling to escape from Groot's grasp as Rocket pulls out his gas grenade.
Rocket: Sleep tight suckers!
Rocket throws the gas grenade at them but at the same time Ratchet breaks them free by equipping his razor claws and cutting through Groot's branches breaking them apart as Groot yelps in pain. Clank then jumps up and catches the gas grenade and throws it away as the gas is released in the distance away from them.
Rocket: Damn you!
Ratchet charges at Rocket with the razor claws and slashes at him but Rocket blocks with his plasma knife. They get in a power struggle pushing against each other. Clank helps by jumping off of Ratchet's back and kicking Rocket in the face knocking him back and catching him off guard. Ratchet uses this opportunity to slash Rocket multiple times cutting him causing bleeding. Ratchet then pins Rocket against the ground. Meanwhile, Groot is whimpering about his arm branches being cut off. Rocket turns his head seeing this.
Rocket: It'll grow back you idiot! Quit whining!
However, Groot suddenly starts getting really angry about it and starts roaring as his branches form back together and he starts growing in size until he turns gigantic. Ratchet, Rocket, and Clank are shocked.
Groot: I AM GROOT!!!!!!!!!!!
Giant Groot lifts up his foot over Ratchet about to step on him as Rocket rolls to the side to get out of the way. But suddenly, Giant Groot is punched by a giant metallic fist knocking him back saving Ratchet. It is Clank who had transformed into Giant Clank. Giant Groot roars at Giant Clank who holds up his metal fists in response.
Giant Clank: Bring it on big brute!
Giant Clank and Giant Groot charge at each other each preparing a punch. Meanwhile, Ratchet attempts more swings with his razor claws at Rocket as Rocket swings back with his plasma knife blocking each other's attacks until their weapons push against each other getting in a power struggle again pushing against each other.
Rocket: Got to admit it fox, you're pretty good.
Ratchet: I'm NOT a fox but thanks and you're pretty good too Raccoon.
While still in their power struggle Rocket suddenly pushes a button that activates a trap he had set God knows when, sending a log swinging down from the nearby mountainside hitting Ratchet sending him flying back.
Rocket: But I'm better.
Ratchet gets up dusting himself off.
Ratchet: Hey! Cheap trick pal!
Rocket: I've got another one for ya!
Suddenly a spring trap activates underneath Ratchet triggering a giant spring that launches Ratchet high in the sky. Rocket activates his jetpack to fly after him. Meanwhile, Giant Clank and Giant Groot are punching each other trading blows until Giant Clank starts shooting rockets from his arms that explode on Groot's face hurting him. This gives Giant Clank the upper hand as he then runs up to Giant Groot and punches him hard sending him flying into a wall. Giant Clank then shoots an energy bomb at him that explodes and blasts Giant Groot through the wall leaving a large amount of smoke. Giant Clank walks over towards the smoke to check what happened when suddenly dozens of giant branches engulf Giant Clank wrapping around him and pulling him towards Giant Groot as Giant Groot punches him repeatedly giving him a beatdown now.
Meanwhile, Rocket had caught up to Ratchet and grabbed by the foot in the sky holding him upside down. Rocket then flew up as high as possible.
Rocket: Sayonara!
Rocket let go of Ratchet sending him falling down. Giant Clank sees this and head-butts Giant Groot escaping his grasp as Giant Clank catches Ratchet in his right hand.
Ratchet: So... the saving each other's lives score so far this battle is Ratchet 1- Clank 2?
Giant Clank: Sounds accurate.
Ratchet: Cool, now allow me to help you.
Ratchet jumps on Giant Clank's right shoulder and takes out the megaturret gun. As Giant Clank keeps Giant Groot pushed back with rockets and lasers from his arms, Ratchet shoots megaturrets all around Giant Groot surrounding him. The megaturrets then rapidly start firing repeatedly shooting Giant Groot hurting him and knocking branches off of him. This continues until Giant Groot retaliates by creating a large shield of giant branches crushing and destroying the megaturrets. However, in response to this Ratchet took out liquid nitrogen gun shooting a freeze ray that froze all the branches keeping Groot stuck in place trying to pull away. Ratchet then jumped off Giant Clank and took out the pyrocitor shooting flames that melted the ice melting Giant Groot's branches along with it. Giant Groot screamed in pain as most of his body was melted off. Suddenly though, Ratchet is scratched in the back by sharp claws several times and whacked in the head by a tail. The attacks were from Rocket who had finally descended back down. Rocket holds up his raccoon claws showing the blood that he had shed of Ratchet's. Ratchet gets up bleeding badly but retaliating by pointing the pyrocitor at Rocket and burns him with it setting him on fire. Rocket roars angrily as he quickly brushed off the flames suffering burns and then shoots Ratchet with his laser cannon electrocuting him. Ratchet is extremely injured laying on the ground vulnerable.
Rocket: This is what you get for hurting Groot you son of a bitch!
Rocket is about to finish Ratchet with his plasma knife but suddenly Rocket is picked up by the tail by Giant Clank. Rocket looks at Giant Clank nervously.
Rocket: Um, hey... let's talk about this.
Giant Clank: NO!
Giant Clank is about to crush Rocket within his palm but suddenly Rocket takes out his ultimate weapon part mini-gun part Gatling gun. Rocket activates it shooting the rapid-powerful bullets directly at Giant Clank's face knocking him over making him drop Rocket. Rocket then reloads his weapon about to shoot Ratchet to finish him. Meanwhile, Giant Groot walks over to Giant Clank and repeatedly stomps his head with his foot hurting him.
Rocket: GAME OVER!
Ratchet: FOR YOU!
Ratchet takes out his ultimate weapon part mini-gun part rocket launcher, the RYNO 5 and activates it at the same time that Rocket activates his ultimate weapon part mini-gun part Gatling gun. A large storm of rapid hundreds of bullets and rockets shoot at each other colliding while of course the Overture music from the RYNO 5 is playing. Meanwhile, Giant Clank flips Giant Groot over and gets up picking Giant Groot up as Giant Clank holds back his right fist. Ratchet's RYNO 5 then overpowers Rocket's mini-gun Gatling gun as Rocket is hit with a huge horde of powerful rockets and bullets that blow him up to bloody pieces as at the same time Giant Clank punches Giant Groot's head off and rips his body apart.
Giant Clank reverts back to regular form as Clank then runs towards Ratchet who is laying on the ground weakened and extremely injured.
Clank: Ratchet! Are you ok?
Ratchet: I need some nanotech.
Clank runs to the ship and brings some boxes of nanotech and breaks them open as the energy goes into Ratchet and he feels completely better as he jumps up now standing.
Ratchet: Thanks Clank! Man, that raccoon and tree were MUCH tougher than that elf and weasel huh?
Clank: Defintely, but now what about our ship?
Ratchet: I'm on it, let's get to it.
Ratchet takes out his omniwrench as they walk towards the destroyed ship in hopes of repairing it.
K.O!
Hours later, when Ratchet and Clank repair their ship and fly off, a little plant seed is seen growing in the distant soil.

Boomstick: DAMN, we really should 2 VS 2 fights more often.
Wiz: Both intergalactic duos were formidable fighters but Ratchet and Clank's better teamwork, superior durability, and more powerful Arsenal won out in the end.
Boomstick: While Rocket and Groot are naturally quite durable, Ratchet and Clank's nanotech gave them the edge in defense able to tank a lot more damage.
Wiz: As for Ratchet and Rocket they are quite a well made match being both trained and highly skilled in martial arts, heavy weaponry, and marksmanship. However, Ratchet's more powerful weapons is what gave him the advantage.
Boomstick: Rocket had his fair share of damn strong weapons as well, but the real advantage Rocket had was his brilliant tactical mind able to form clever strategies.
Wiz: But it wasn't enough as it proved difficult for Rocket to put Ratchet down for good with his inferior weapons.
Boomstick: Yeah, not even Rocket's part mini-gun part Gatling gun could even compare at all to Ratchet's ultimate weapon the RYNO 5. Which by the way, is the most powerful weapon in the Solana galaxy with the capability to destroy planets! Rocket's chance at winning was being able to land a hit with his gas grenade to knock Ratchet and Clank out BUT having 1 he only had 1 opportunity to use it and Ratchet and Clank had more than enough mobility options to avoid it.
Wiz: As for Clank and Groot, in base forms Clank wasn't anything except an annoyance to Groot who is far bigger and stronger but when it came to giant forms Giant Clank had the strength to match Giant Groot's and had the advantage in being armed with weapons. Groot's branch growing ability proved troublesome but unfortunately for Groot his tree body's durability is inconsistent. While Groot has been able to take hits from strong beings like the Hulk other times it has been broken apart without too much trouble and his regeneration could not make up for it due to being too slow.
Boomstick: But one of the most important things it comes down to is who can work better as a team.
Wiz: Right! Indidvually, both sides were at a more even playing field but once Ratchet and Clank started working together they took the huge edge. Ratchet and Clank know how to work as a team and they do it all the time throughout their adventures while Rocket and Groot can work well together but don't always do due to Rocket's frustration with Groot or simply his lone wolf attitude.
Boomstick: Looks like Rocket and Groot SPACED out.
Wiz: The winners are Ratchet and Clank.
