Description[]
Touhou Project VS Umineko: When They Cry! These servants are ready to dust off the chessboard and break the boundaries of their game in DEATH BATTLE!
Interlude[]
Wiz: Ran Yakumo, Touhou's kitsune servant of the great gap lady Yukari Yakumo.
Boomstick: Piece, the... well, 'piece' of Featherine Augustus Aurora from Umineko.
Wiz: Inside us all, there is an undoubtable yearning for purpose and meaning. Some find this meaning through looking out for others and serving them, some find it serving king and country, and others much prefer just taking a few steps back and settling down with a family.
Boomstick: But I don't think I've ever seen someone who embody all three of those while also acting as a battle maid like these chicks do! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a DEATH BATTLE!

Trivia[]
- The connections between Ran and Piece are that they are brightly colored individuals that serve as a non-villainous antagonist in their first appearances. Initially they seem to be well-kempt and serious, though can act out at points (Ran sometimes acting outside of Yukari's orders; Piece being somewhat unstable and psycho). They serve mistresses (Yukari Yakumo and Featherine Augustus Aurora), who are incredibly lazy yet the oldest and most powerful member of the main supernatural race within their stories (Youkai and Witches). They are given power by this mistress (Yukari stating that as long as Ran "follows her will", she can match her in power; Featherine acting as a "flame" from which Piece draws her power from), and one of their signature abilities even calls back to their master's identity (Ran having an intellect comparable to Yukari's; Piece's hair being able to remove things out of the plot). Though they are presently just servants, they were in actuality another individual entirely before becoming who they are now (Ran Yakumo's body belonging to that of a fox spirit from the Animal Realm; Piece is actually Asumu Ushiromiya, Battler's mother). The reason they left behind their previous life was due to a massive dissatisfaction with the way their lives had turned out (Ran being troubled over how lowly and beastly her people were; Asumu harboring animosity towards Ange for being the product of her husband's remarriage). Though they initially start out as antagonistic forces, they soon take on more of a protagonist role in the later parts of their stories (Ran returning to help Yukari, Reimu, Marisa, etc. in later games; Piece reviving the rest of the forgotten chessboard pieces, and coming to terms with Ange's existence).
