Description[]
Shrek vs The Incredibles! These 2 heroes left their ways but returned and became brilliant heroes. Can the Gato defeat the secret superhero?
Interlude[]
Official DEATH BATTLE! theme - Invader
Boomstick: Being a hero looks really cool on TV and in comics but as you stop to think about it, you realise they can't catch a break. Well, except for The Flash.
Wiz: So it takes a lot of courage to stay a hero, sometimes even giving up, but these 2 overcame these hurdles for the sake of being true heroes.
Boomstick: Puss in Boots, Shrek's Spanish cat outlaw.
Wiz: And Mr Incredible, the great hero who defeated Syndrome.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyse characters' stats, abilities and weapons to see who would win a Death Battle.
Puss becomes a fearless hero in DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: Criminals. Usually villains but very now and then, an outlaw can truly become a man of the people.
Boomstick: And for the people of San Lorenzo, they needed one. Nobody liked the mayor!
Wiz: At least, not after the top criminal arrived. He goes by many names, such as El Macho or Chupacabra, but in the end, he goes by one name.
Boomstick: He's the legendary Puss in Boots!
Description[]
- Name: Puss
- Height: 38cm (1"3)
- Weight: Around 7kg (15lbs)
- Hero of San Lorenzo
- Has way too many nicknames
- Used to have 9 lives
- Likes: Glory, Milk
- Dislikes: Death (himself and also kinda), Shellfish
Wiz: He was a dangerous warrior, using his combat skills to help the town against the corrupt mayor.
Boomstick: And he looked fancy doing it! Songs, clothes even as a cat and fought with a sword in an elegant way.
Wiz: As his name and Boomstick right now may suggest, he was doing all of this as a cat! An anthropomorphic one of course, but impressive.
Boomstick: Well, that's until you notice cats in this universe literally have 9 lives. BUT, Puss was wasting all of them.
Wiz: Puss repeatedly died on his many adventures. He travelled to Far, Far, Away (Which is the name of the place) and became a legendary ogre hunter and picked up some friends along the way.
Boomstick: Buuuuut he lost one of his last lives while baking, leaving him with 2 left.
Wiz: But even then, he used his equipment to protect San Lorenzo.
Tools & Abilities[]
- Rapier
- Gatito Blade
- Some random stick
- Wishing Star
- Cute cat eyes
- Heaps of anxiety
Boomstick: Always by Puss' side is his iconic sword, which he uses to slice up anyone in his way.
Wiz: The type of sword Puss uses is an equivalent to the real life rapier. They are one-handed swords that are sharp but thin, with a protected hilt.
Boomstick: These swords are good at duelling, which Puss needs while sword fighting the mayor.
Wiz: And of course, in order to work in a duel they have to be good at cutting and blocking. Puss does prefer this fighting style but this sword does appear to have a point just in case.
Boomstick: Just in case he has to perform his coolest move! SPANISH SPLINTER! Ugh, that was a normal splinter, ow.
Wiz: Oh geez, Boomstick, you ok?
Boomstick: Don't worry, I'm fine. damn wood.
Wiz: Puss' Spanish Splinter technique is performed against large opponents where Puss jams his sword in-between his opponent's finger and fingernail. This is usually done to stun them by inflicting great pain, so he can lead into a large attack.
Boomstick: And Puss' small size means he can do it for anything remotely big! And I guess wood can too.
Wiz: Regardless, even with his combat prowess, Puss was too reckless and lost his 8th life.
Boomstick: His doctor told him to stop going, but Puss was stubborn. My hero!
Wiz: Well, Puss was struck off his podium after an encounter with Death himself.
Boomstick: And no he doesn't mean that metaphorically or rhetorically or poetically or theoretically or any other fancy way. He's Death, straight up.
Wiz: Gaining some anxiety as he was hunted down by the grim reaper himself, Puss entered retirement.
Boomstick: But after hearing about a wishing star that could get him back his lives, he was in.
Wiz: And so the race began for this amazing power, Puss tried to get the wishing star from all his greedy competitors...
Boomstick: Only to realise he was greedy himself. He had one life, he didn't need more. He already had trust and glory and friends, and he needed nothing more.
Wiz: So, while reciting the words needed to restore his lives, he chose not to do it, collapsing the wishing star by breaking the map leading to it.
Boomstick: But first he needed to prove that he could face Death, so he fought.
Wiz: The face-off between him and Death was legendary, but Puss stalemated Death.
Boomstick: He'll lose some day, but for now he'll keep fighting! And to fight death, he needs some power. Luckily he has some!
Feats[]
- Got thrown through various walls
- Harmed and took hits from Shrek
- Sent someone flying with 1 swing
- Caught and deflected arrows
- Briefly fought on par with Death
- Dodged a magic blast that resembled lightning
- Defeated many ogres, The mayor, the Sleeping Giant of Del Mar and Jack Horner
Wiz: Puss is a master sword fighter. He's defeated the mayor on various occasions and even a giant as well as someone who grew to the size of a giant.
Boomstick: Puss is insane! He can catch arrows in his mouth and deflect flaming ones with his sword.
Wiz: If that isn't enough for you, he's been thrown through walls by giant and could harm Shrek with his claws.
Boomstick: And this is a guy who can be tossed hundreds of meters into the air and be fine after. He even crashed through a ceiling made of pure rock!
Wiz: Puss is insane with his strength, but the way he fights requires speed. We've covered that, but Puss dodged a magic blast.
Boomstick: And it kinda looked like lightning.
Wiz: Meaning Puss could possibly be fast enough to evade lightning blasts.
Boomstick: But he needs this in his relentless fight against Death, where he will never give up.
Wiz: But nothing truly symbolises Puss' fight against death than his Gatito Blade, a dagger which means a lot to Puss, since it was given to him by Kitty Softpaws, a reason to live.
Boomstick: Aww, Wiz, I'm gonna cry! Puss truly became the greatest fearless hero.
Puss: "Who is your greatest fearless hero?"
Mr Incredible is indestructible in DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: In the city of Metroville, superheroes roam the lands. They are the protectors of the world.
Boomstick: And they have tons of powers! Speed, forcefields and so on.
Wiz: Among these heroes was a hero known for his crushing strength and brutal endurance.
Boomstick: Here to save the citizens of Metroville is Bob Parr! AKA Mr Incredible.
Description[]
- Full Name: Bob Parr
- Height: 201 cm (6"7)
- Weight: 159 kg (350lbs)
- Father of the Incredibles family
- Hero of Metroville
- Hated his job (And basically his whole non-hero life)
- Likes: Being a hero, his family
- Dislikes: Syndrome/Buddy, Gilbert Huph
Wiz: As a hero, Mr Incredible proved to be the best of the best. He constantly defeated a variety of villains.
Boomstick: He even attracted some fanboys! Like Buddy Pine, he's important later. He became so obsessed that when he was denied being Mr Incredible's sidekick, he just... left.
Wiz: But that didn't matter to Bob! He had everything. Fame, friends and a city to protect.
Boomstick: Until he met a superhero chick, that is! Elastigirl was her superhero name. Or, later, Helen Parr.
Wiz That's right! Mr Incredible got married. And with this, Mr Incredible decided to move away from the superhero business and become Bob Parr again.
Boomstick: Of course, until him and his family got caught in the plot of Syndrome, or real name Buddy Pine. Wow that came back quick.
Wiz: Against Syndrome's thirst for revenge, Mr Incredible had to truly show off the peak of his powers.
Tools & Abilities[]
- Super Physicality/Fitness
- Super Accuracy
- Enhanced Hearing
- Shockwaves
- Super Suit (Resistance to heat)
- Incredibile (Has stealth mode)
Boomstick: Mr Incredible's power, by nature, gives him extreme strength. However, this actually is not his power. It's super physicality, which is just the stat trinity of vs. AKA, he's really fit.
Wiz: This is not his only superpower however, as he has outstanding accuracy! He's caught falling trucks, aimed a spinning Omnidroid arm and even caught a person falling from a skyscraper perfectly from a street away. The creators have confirmed this.
Boomstick: He has some solid hearing and can make shockwaves for ranged damage.
Wiz: His super suit can also resist usually fatally high amounts of heat and pressure, and has no cape since it would be an easy weakness.
Boomstick: He travels around in the Incredibile, a high speed car. It can even camouflage itself to help catch others off-guard.
Wiz: Mr Incredible infiltrated Syndrome's base and was saved by his family when he was captured.
Boomstick: Because when 1 superhero and another superhero do the deed, boom! More superheroes!
Wiz: With a new generation of heroes, Mr Incredible had to remind everyone why he was a super in the first place.
Feats[]
- Overpowered an Omnidroid
- Can jump many stories in seconds
- Tricked an Omnidroid and Syndrome
- Swam away from an underwater explosion
- Reacted to Dash
- Dodged lightning and laser beams
- Defeated Syndrome and multiple Omnidroids
Boomstick: He's outsped underwater explosions and can jump many stories. Yep, he's epic!
Wiz: That's nothing. He can react to his son Dash, who has super speed potent enough to run on water and go undetected past a 30 frame per second camera.
Boomstick: And of course, he's strong and durable too! He can overpower an Omnidroid, robots created by Syndrome that can generate tons of energy!
Wiz: Specifically around 305 billion joules worth of kinetic energy!
Boomstick: His feats against the omnidroids don't end there though. The 10th version had more power than that, and Mr Incredible's suit could take a hit from that.
Wiz: The intelligence of an Omnidroid has been compared to that of a supercomputer, and Mr Incredible was able to get it to attack itself then too. This showcases Mr Incredible's intelligence and quick thinking.
Boomstick: And with all of this combined with the love of his family, he was able to overcome Syndrome and keep supers in business. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Syndrome's plan was to destroy all supers.
Wiz: Boomstick, how did you forget that?
Boomstick: I don't know! The action was so cool that I didn't pay attention to the plot past the first 10 minutes!
Wiz: ...Ok. Also, you forgot to put the sequel in here too.
Boomstick Oh, really? Put your hand up if you care about Incredibles 2! *silence* Exactly. Now shut up Wiz.
Wiz: Regardless, Mr Incredible became a true hero, leading a new generation of supers.
Boomstick: He's amazing, epic, you could even say... incredible.
Mr Incredible: "We get there when we get there!"
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: And the combatants are set. We've run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick It's time for a Death Battle!
Fight[]
Made-Up Puss vs Mr Incredible theme - Swords & fists for redemption
Set-Up[]
The Incredibile rolls across a mud road. Bob is driving, Helen's on shotgun with Jack-Jack and Dash and Violet are in the back.
Dash: When do we get there?
Violet: Can you stop asking him that?
Dash: No! I have to know, this car ride sucks!
Helen: Calm down, you two-
Violet: What did I do?
Dash: Ask a lame question!
Violet: No I didn't!
The two begin a slap fight and Helen reaches back with a stretched arm to break it up, but she can't stop them.
Helen: Honey, I think it's best if you go alone.
Bob: *annoyed* Yeah.
Bob leaves the car, heading to San Lorenzo.
Bob: *sigh* What a nightmare. Not a great start to a holiday.
Bob enters the gates, then notices a sign on the wall. It reads "Puss in Boots, top criminal". Bob thinks for a second, then grins.
Bob: It's showtime.
We cut to Puss, who is jumping around the rooftops of San Lorenzo. He gracefully jumps from rooftop to rooftop until he finds himself atop a gate.
Puss: How nice. I can practice my posing here.
Puss continuously jumps on and off the gate, striking poses with slight adjustments each time. A shadowy figure appears on the rooftops, heading towards the gate. Puss continues, eventually nodding and then pulling out his sword for a pose with that. He keeps going as the shadowy figure approaches. Eventually, he jumps off the gate with the shadowy figure, now revealed to be Mr Incredible, stands atop it. He drops down to Puss.
Fight![]
The weight of Mr Incredible's arm pushes down on Puss, damaging him. He pokes up into a finger, stunning Mr Incredible and allowing him to break free.
Puss: Who might you be? A bounty hunter? I've dealt with lots of bounty hunters before.
Mr Incredible: No, I'm a hero.
Puss: If that were the case, you wouldn't be after me!
Puss jumps at Mr Incredible, slicing at his head. Mr Incredible ducks under the attack and rolls away next to a tree.
Mr Incredible: Top criminal, huh? I've dealt with you lot before.
Puss: I am no mere criminal, I am Puss in Boots. Fear me if you dare.
Mr Incredible: I guess I don't dare then.
Mr Incredible smashes his hand onto the tree, causing apples to fall down. Mr Incredible kicks them up and punches them at Puss. Not to be outdone, Puss evades the incoming attacks. He also cuts off a bit of the last apple and eats the piece.
Puss: This tastes pretty good.
Mr Incredible: How about you see how this tastes?
Mr Incredible slams his fist at Puss, who attempts to block with his sword but is still sent flying away. He crashes through the wall of the gate and finds himself in an alleyway.
Puss: I really shouldn't have done that.
Mr Incredible: Correct.
Mr Incredible stands over Puss and attempts to grab him, but Puss jumps up and uses Mr Incredible's now raising hand to perform Spanish Splinter. Mr Incredible attempts to disguise the pain but can't. He gasps and stumbles. Puss stands atop his sword, staring at Mr Incredible. His tone then suddenly shifts from cocky to playful.
Puss: Hey, you wanna see something cool?
Mr Incredible looks dumbfounded.
Mr Incredible: If it's from you, no.
Puss: Too bad!
Puss squeezes the apple piece into both of Mr Incredible's eyes, blinding him.
Mr Incredible: Now I can't see something cool.
Puss scratches at Mr Incredible's chest but can't pierce his suit.
Puss: Looks like a job for the sword.
Puss pulls his sword out but is quickly smacked by an angry Mr Incredible, who's eyes have recovered.
Mr Incredible: Should've took your chance.
He cracks his knuckles before clapping, sending a shockwave towards Puss. Puss jumps between windowsills, tanking the blast. Mr Incredible jumps up after him and causes the windowsill to become unstable.
Puss: Oh no! El Macho may die some day, but not today.
Mr Incredible: I'm just going to assume that's you.
The windowsill crumbles as Puss smashes through the window into a bathroom.
Puss: Why would anyone have a window in their bathroom?
Mr Incredible grunts as he hangs on to the window frame, attempting to climb up. Puss jumps away to... the toilet.
Puss: This could probably be salvaged.
We cut back to Mr Incredible, who finally puts his leg in. He pulls his other one to the window frame but is blindsided by a pipe bash from Puss.
Puss: Ha! Take that!
Mr Incredible quickly recovers, fully climbing in. Suddenly, the room begins flooding. The two look at each other. Puss looks apologetic while Mr Incredible looks annoyed.
Mr Incredible: Why did you think that was a good idea?
Puss silently shrugs with an awkward smile. The water rises as Mr Incredible swings his fist at Puss.
Mr Incredible: Time to finish this off.
He punches Puss down into the water and then slams the bath onto him, trapping him in the water.
Mr Incredible: That's enough superhero work for one day.
Mr Incredible walks away as Puss struggles inside, holding his breath. He relentlessly smashes the pipe into the top of the bath until it breaks, freeing him. He jumps at Mr Incredible, who turns around but can't react as his mask is scratched off. Puss lifts the pipe and slams it into Mr Incredible's head before collecting his sword as it flows out of the bathtub with the water. Mr Incredible is pushed towards the window by the current, holding his arms to the sides of it to hopefully not fall. The wall begins to crumble. Puss is quickly carried towards him, losing his pipe. He smashes into the window frame, trying to not go over it. He hangs onto it with his sword. Eventually, Mr Incredible is too strong and the wall collapses. The two jump up. Puss nimbly reaches the roof and Mr Incredible propels up to it in one jump. The sword stays stuck in the window frame, leaving Puss seemingly unarmed. The two look down to see the alleyway flooded.
Mr Incredible: You damn crook!
Mr Incredible picks up Puss and winds his arm up.
Mr Incredible: It's lights out for you.
Mr Incredible punches towards Puss, who pulls out his Gatito Blade to block the attack. He's launched back but still stands strong.
Mr Incredible: Of course you have more weapons.
Puss: I wouldn't call it a weapon. It's more my heart.
The camera zooms away from Puss, who looks confident.
Puss: And everybody has a heart!
Puss jumps towards Mr Incredible, cutting his chin. He then cuts his ear, and then the back of his head.
Mr Incredible: A heart, huh?
Mr Incredible thinks of his family, gaining new strength.
Mr Incredible: Well I've got one too!
Mr Incredible lifts a piece of roof below himself and puts it beside his head, blocking Puss' next attack. He forces Puss onto it and then tosses it into the air. He jumps up towards him.
Puss: I may not be stronger than death, but I can keep fighting. And if I have to fight through you, then so be it.
Puss takes off his boots and hat, touching his necklace.
Puss: Because stronger than Puss in Boots or Pickles is me, Puss!
Puss jumps forward, holding out his Gatito Blade. The two share a laugh as they collide midair. Puss' Gatito blade stabs against Mr Incredible's head, which is in a head butting position. The Gatito Blade shatters, causing Mr Incredible to slam his head against Puss. Puss is almost sent flying, but Mr Incredible grabs him by his necklace.
Mr Incredible: Sorry, but this is my job.
Puss laughs.
Puss: No need to apologise. This isn't over.
Puss pulls apart his necklace, causing him to fall down with no halt. He closes his eyes.
Puss: Star light, star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might. Have the wish I wish tonight. I know my place in this world's hive but with one last burst of strength I may survive.
The energy of the Wishing Star empowers Puss, causing him to burst out of the water, glowing. Mr Incredible falls towards him. They both pull back their arms in different stances. Puss' claws collide with Mr Incredible's hand. Part of Mr Incredible's suit is ripped off and Puss' claws begin cracking. Eventually, The two are obscured from sight by the energy of the wishing star. Eventually one pops out and cause a large smoke cloud due to the collision with the wall. It is revealed to be Mr Incredible, who's eyes are closed. He regains consciousness, floating atop the water. He notices holes in the buildings ahead of him. He looks down at his hand, which keeps some fur which used to rest on Puss' mitt. He's carried along by the stream and takes a breath. He chuckles a bit to lighten the mood.
Mr Incredible: Job done.
Conclusion[]
KO!
Boomstick: Hey Wiz. Let's bet how many buildings Puss was punched through. I think it was 5!
Wiz: Uh, like... 4?
Boomstick: No way! Puss is too strong for 4!
Wiz: *sigh* This was an interesting match, and several factors had to be taken into account.
Boomstick: To start off, Puss couldn't dream of matching Mr Incredible's strength. He was way too far behind, what are you doing at wall level, Puss? Mr Incredible's consistently hitting building to city block level!
Wiz: In speed, they were generally about even. However, that magic blast would give Puss the speed edge if it was lightning.
Boomstick: So let's just say he IS faster. Puss could whittle Mr Incredible down, right? Wrong.
Wiz: Mr Incredible is amazingly smart. He's outsmarted supercomputers, so Puss isn't really a challenge in that department.
Boomstick: Plus, Puss is extremely arrogant before his arc. And even if you take him after development, there's still one teensy, tiny problem for Puss. Mr Incredible never misses.
Wiz: His accuracy is insane! Remember when he caught that person falling from the building? He realistically shouldn't even be able to perceive them falling!
Boomstick: It's either dumb luck or perfect aim. Either way, Puss was screwed.
Results[]
Puss in Boots
+ Possibly faster
+ Greater arsenal
- Arrogant before development
- Unlikely to use Wishing Star after
Mr Incredible
+ Stronger & more durable
+ Smarter
+ Accuracy/Luck
- No real counter to Wishing Star
Wiz: A big problem with taking Puss after development is that he won't use the Wishing Star, which admittedly could take Mr Incredible down.
Boomstick: And his arrogance before development would limit that too!
Wiz: Puss did have a wider arsenal admittedly. His blades and the capabilities of the Wishing Star could overwhelm Mr Incredible but ultimately Mr Incredible had the strength, intelligence, accuracy and humility to take Puss down.
Boomstick: Puss as a hero was incredible, but Mr Incredible made him make his last wish.
Wiz: The winner is Bob Parr.
