Zero uses the Sub-Tank to recover, and the Sigma Blade to cut Piccolo's arm, but the latter regenerates it easily and enters the Ultimate State.
Piccolo begins to hit Zero several times, but the latter uses his Buster Shot to shoot Piccolo, but does not succeed, which causes Piccolo to respond by throwing a large burst of Ki, but the Buster Shot absorbs the attacks and responds with a powerful attack. But Piccolo teleports behind Zero to elbow him in the arm where he was carrying the Buster Shot, but Zero doesn't let him fall and uses the Buster Shot to try to go through Piccolo, and when he was close to achieve it, Piccolo uses Hyper Explosive Demon Wave, doing a lot of damage to Zero.

Zero responds with Zero Knuckle, but Piccolo predicts all of his attacks and uses Rapid Fire, filling Zero with energy attacks, causing Zero to require the nurse-type Cyber Elves to heal him. Piccolo also takes the opportunity to heal himself, and then quickly goes to Zero to grab him by the neck and sweep the field using it. But the latter breaks free and uses Rakuhouha to try to hurt Piccolo but Piccolo dodges every attack and goes towards Zero.
The latter uses Raijingeki to eletrocutar to Piccolo, but this one resists and sends it up to throw several spheres to Zero, but this one dodges them only for Piccolo to send the spheres towards Zero, causing him a lot of damage.
But after that, Piccolo notices how Zero's Ki has increased, and that's when he turns around to see the new state, Black Zero. Zero runs towards Piccolo to give him a Ryuenjin and a Hyuretsuzan at the same time while saying the following

But then he senses something and turns around only to see an afterimage of Zero using Shippuuga to hurt him, freeing its creator to use Twin Dream, distracting Piccolo causing him to attack both sides, hitting Zero but missing the ghost.
Just as Piccolo was about to use a Ki attack, Zero uses Dark Hold to stop time, then jumps over Piccolo to use Quake Blazer, where he damages Piccolo. Only for time to unfreeze and Piccolo to deliver a monstrous blow to Zero's skull, causing Zero to use Yammar Option to have the dragonflies attack for him and protect him. Piccolo then says the following:
Piccolo: Die!
Piccolo goes to Zero and elbows him in the stomach to kick him upwards, Zero sees that where he was sent there is a roof, so he uses Hyoraga against Piccolo, but Piccolo realizes this and quickly flies towards him, dodging the icicles. Piccolo reaches Zero and does a double axe-handle, then teleports behind him and grabs him by the arm, after that, Piccolo says the following

Piccolo punches Zero in the stomach and throws him into the air to fire a strong energy attack from his mouth, causing a lot of damage to Zero. But the latter descends at full speed using Rakukojin, causing a crater and creating an anchor projectile that Piccolo destroys. And when he sees the latter, he makes an upward slash in flames so that afterward comes a non-stop flurry of attacks, the attacks used being Sentsuizan and Ensuizan.
Piccolo then eats a Senzu Bean to continue facing Zero and kicks him and then gives him two infused kicks and then charges an energy sphere. But Zero uses Guard Shell to protect himself from the energy attack, deflecting it.
Zero then hits the ground to use Rekkoha, where rays of light fall everywhere, causing Piccolo to start moving so fast that he causes afterimages of him. He then manages to catch Zero off guard and send him flying upwards, but Zero descends to use Bakuenjin, causing a circular explosion of fire and also uses Hadangeki, causing a lot of damage to Piccolo. Zero then uses Raijinshou to make an electric tornado, but Piccolo surprises Zero with a lightning blast.
Piccolo then traps Zero in an electric field, but the latter breaks free with Suiretsusen, and that's when Piccolo uses Destructive Wind, charging electricity throughout his body to fire a funnel of air charged with electricity. But Zero protects himself with Gokumonken, and when Piccolo goes to attack him, time stops and Zero counterattacks, generating a large slash.
Piccolo creates copies of himself to attack Zero, and Zero responds by using Souenbu, hitting several copies, Zero uses Hieijin to go towards the real Piccolo, but he destroys the attack with a Ki sphere. It is then that Zero uses Zankurin to create a wheel that destroys all the clones and goes directly to Piccolo, but the latter flies and destroys the wheel with a strong Ki attack.
Piccolo goes towards Zero, but the latter uses Tenshouha, but Piccolo splits into three to confuse Zero, causing the attack to not go as expected. That's when Zero pauses and that's when he uses Juuhazan to destroy the copies, and that's when he uses Dairetsui, but Piccolo uses Eye Flash, where he blinds Zero to hit him by the neck.
Zero uses Ganzanha to cause an explosion of light, but Piccolo resists and begins to create several portals, where he begins to fight with Zero, the fight is frenetic, since there Zero uses several powers while he and Piccolo fight while entering the portals. Piccolo then launches a powerful Ki attack at him, but Zero uses Rekkyyoudan to deflect it, and when Piccolo launches multiple Ki attacks at him, Zero uses Zekkyoudan so that the projectiles hurt Piccolo. The Namekian gets up, only to be surprised by Zero with the Youdantotsu, being pierced by it, that's when Zero uses Renyoungan to open Piccolo's chest further.
But Piccolo sends Zero flying with a powerful energy wave to regenerate, the Maverick Hunter uses Laser Shot, Triple Shot, Spark Shot, and Blast Shot, but Piccolo dodges each shot. Piccolo sees how the Blast Shot shot destroyed the environment they were in, but there is no time to check, because Zero uses Tenshuozan to lift Piccolo, then uses Sengatotsu to follow the combo, and finishes it with Sharp Edge, having caused a lot of damage in a single combo.
Piccolo gets up only to be surprised by a Kougenjin, which he luckily dodges, but Zero uses his Energy Chain to drain Piccolo's energy, it is there that the latter uses his telepathy to speak to Zero, telling him the following:
Piccolo (with his mind): You're doing well boy, I've noticed that we're the same Zero, but it's time to show why you keep fighting.

Zero uses V-Shot, but Piccolo dodges it, then Zero uses Zaneidan, but Piccolo sends the attack flying, then Zero quickly runs towards Piccolo, using Tenretsujin when he arrives. But when he uses Rakusaiga, Piccolo snatches the sword from him and stabs him in the chest, but Zero responds by ripping out the sword to use Reppuugeki, causing a lot of damage to Piccolo.
After that, Zero uses 1000 Slash, leaving Piccolo no chance. That's when Zero uses Soul Launcher, causing a sphere to split into four and fall, dealing damage. Zero uses Shield Sweep and Orbit Shield at the same time, but Piccolo stops them with both of his hands to throw them at Zero with more power. Zero dodges Shield Sweep, but Orbit Shield cuts off Zero's arm. That's when both Piccolo and Zero exchange blows, and when Piccolo was about to pierce him, Zero laughs and turns around to use Tractor Shot and Burning Shot, causing a huge explosion that destroys everything.
After the explosion, Zero uses Ice Javelin, but Piccolo grabs the spear and throws it far away, only for Zero to use Time Stopper against Piccolo, freezing him, that's when Zero says the following
Zero: Thanks for the fight, but it's time to end this, it's time for the last combo!
First Zero uses Ice Blade, launching the projectile towards the chest, then he uses Thunder Stab to pierce Piccolo, then he uses Flame Fang to lift Piccolo up, and finally he uses Sky Chaser to finish the combo.
Finally, the battle is over, Zero is the winner, and that's when he says the following:
Zero: Thanks for the fight, now I have to go back
But when Zero was leaving, he sees Piccolo get up with one last thing
Piccolo: Well done Zero, but it's time to show you why I'm a mentor, Makankōsappō!
