Pearl vs jade (hyun dojo)

Opening

John: for some people. Love is something that is just nature. For some it’s an element. For some,love is just nothing but something people use to cope. But these 2 suffered loss of the ones they loved most. Either romantic or parental loss. It is hard to overcome it. But they powered through and showed that they can stand on their own 2 feet with their spears in hand.

Wiz: like with the pearl, the… pearl spear wielder of the crystal gems.

Boomstick: and jade. Lost edenian princess that became leader of the clan “nemesis”. He’s wiz and I'm boomstick.

John: And I'm john!

Wiz: and it’s our job to find out their weapons,armor and skills to find out who would win. A death battle.

Pearl

Wiz: the crystal gems. A bad–s trio of gems who fight alongside Steven universe. They first joined rose quartz in a rebellion against the oppressive diamond authority. These members include. Garnet,the muscle of the group. Amethysts,the wild card and the one we are talking about today. The straight women of the group…. Pearl. But she was not always the spear wielding warrior you see today. You see, pearls are a group of gems specifically created for serving their masters.

Boomstick: they basically are slaves born to follow and maintain order between the gems and pearl was originally just like any other. Subservient,loyal and having no thoughts of her own. They had a caste system and cast values. being described as property. Again,basically slaves. They provide entertainment for the gems of homeworld by singing,dancing and projecting holograms.  Which is their main ability.

John: they had no independence or agency. It’s just “appease your master”. The worst part is that pearl’s are physically incapable of disobeying their masters orders. It was all pearl’s were seen until… pink diamond’s pearl. She started out like the others. Working for pink diamond for hundreds of years. She was a replacement for pink pearl. But that was a whole different fiasco. But the point is. Pearl was tasked with making her Diamond happy.

dummy: though she didn't manage to do so for a long while. Like the other Diamond's Pearls, she carried a very strong and loyal bond to Pink Diamond. One day, early on in the colonization of Earth, Pink Diamond wished she could frolic and play alongside the Quartz soldiers that were emerging from the planet's surface, but didn't want to be reprimanded by the other Diamonds. Taking Pink's question about imagining the possibility of warping down to Earth seriously. Pearl thought that Pink Diamond could avoid getting caught if she shapeshifted into a Quartz soldier to blend in for a day and that was the moment that changed everything.

Boomstick: pink grew fond of the planet and became very attached to it. Then she realized that if it was completed, Earth would be destroyed. Pearl stood alongside the other Diamond's Pearls, witnessing Pink Diamond's attempts to put a stop to the colonization, though they amounted to little more than a literal zoo. So pink took the identity as rose quartz. Take note that pearl was not brainwashed. Yes, her servant mentality did contribute a little… but it ultimately changed and grew into something more. I guess she is not quite the straight wo…

john: and so did pearl herself. She became a master weapons expert. Fighting in the war with valor and even helping fight off the corrupted gems with rose for thousands of years. But she cannot do that without some crazy powers.

John: First let’s talk about things nearly every gem has. Gems are not physical beings. At least not conventionally. They are light constructs. If their bodies are damaged enough. They will “poof” only leaving their gem behind. Pearl’s gem is on her head. But don’t worry. They are not dead. They just need to regenerate. They can do this on a molecular level. But this is not a standard regeneration like deadpool for example.

Fun fact box: pearl was the first ever “poof” in the series. Being stabbed by her holo-pearl in “sworn of the sword”.

wiz: They can only regenerate if they “poofed” and cannot regenerate on the fly while not poofed and while poofed. They are vulnerable. But now it’s time to tackle a misconception. People say that the gems themselves are far weaker than the bodies of the gems. With instances like amethyst falling a considerable distances and ruby getting hit by small asteroids cracking them. Which can weaken their abilities and make their powers harder to control. Shattering a gem is basically killing it without advanced aid.

Info box: while pearl can possibly shapeshift. She has never shown the ability to. Implying she does not have such an ability. Or least not too the extent we see other gems use theirs

Boomstick: That part is true but the toughness of the gems is what we are talking about. It’s just plot induced stupidity causing this to happen. whereas there exist multiple instances of gems' stones enduring and often being undamaged by blows that cause harm to their constructs, such as Lapis and Jasper tanking the explosion of the Gem Warship, which damaged their bodies but left their gems unscathed, or when Bismuth hit Lapis in her back. Directly where her gem is located. hard enough to poof her with a single hit, yet didn't leave any damage on her gem.

John: Anyway it takes time to recover from poofing. depending on the damage on the gem and the type of gem. Sometimes a few seconds and a few weeks in more extreme cases. Gems can summon weapons at their command. For pearl it’s her handy spear. Which has the most complicated method of summoning a weapon I have ever seen.

Pearl: pay attention to these petals steven. The petals dance seems improvised. But it is being calculated in real time thanks to the physical properties of this plant. With hard work and dedication you can master the magical properties of your gem and perform your own dance.

She summons her spear.

Pearl: like so.

John: uh… what are we talking about again. Oh yeah! Her spear! She can do a lot with that thing. She is extremely skilled with it. Being able to throw it,dual wield it and even shoot a beam of energy that can even be used rapid-fire and this is called… fireball. Um… ok. Her spear can also be upgraded into her stronger trident.

Info box: Pearl also has a wide assortment of other items within her Gemstone, most likely several of her swords as well and even said to have a battle ax.

Dummy: of which she can equip and unequip at will. They can adapt to gravity. Making sure they are not affected by unusual gravitational effects and can even walk on water. But now for her most unusual shared trait. She has hammerspace. Not the usual cartoon “pull something from their back” hammerspace but more of a literal pocket dimension. Pulling out whatever she has stored inside it.

Info box: these pocket dimensions are entire universes. Being infinite in size and even having multiple celestial bodies inside them. They can also have versions of themselves inside them of which there could be infinite versions of. Meaning gem pocket dimensions are multiversal + structures. But pearl should not fully scale to this since she has not been shown to fight characters who can destroy these dimensions. Only crack the gems which are likely far weaker than these structures.

Wiz: her main ability is her light projection. With it she can light up dark places,project holographic images, or create holo-pearls. Basically cloning herself with holograms that can interact with objects.  While these clones are fragile and probably don’t have the more advanced abilities. They can function without pearl around for up to 2 weeks and she can create 6. Although they will disappear if pearl poofs. She has limited sand manipulation due to her creating small figurines of sand.

John: Although she is not defeating Gaara with this or the fact she can see. At least not with this alone.

wiz: But in all seriousness. She can also conjure up mist. Making it harder for her opponents to see. But she is also very smart. She was able to build a spaceship. In one day. In a barn… With little help... With scrap metal…

John: I mean it was ultimately unsuccessful but the fact she built a spaceship at all is an impressive feat of genius. But that could be part of her just having a connection with technology. While not a peridot level expert. She is certainly no noob at it. She can interface with technology and her eye’s seem to flash binary code.

(boomstick grabs john ear and twists it. Making his eyes fill with binary code and the tv to change channels.  It shows several channels until it shows a commercial for beer.)

Boomstick: there!

(John taps his ear and turns it off.)

John: (sigh) alright.

(John twists his ear and shows the show again.)

Feats

• Standing apart from her fellow Pearl-type Gem sisters with her personal achievements.
• Strong enough to injure Peridot (The same Peridot who can endure So much Damage that It's practically toon force).
• Built a personal combat robot from scraps in a barn that could fire lasers from its nose cone capable of destroying boulders. And its nose cone was a traffic cone.

Boomstick: despite not being made for combat. She has shown she can tango with the best of them. She has fought in the gem war for diamond sake. She is incredibly fast as well. She can compare to Garnet who can block lightning and can pilot the roaming eye. Which when looking at the speed of it leaving the earth. Must be moving at over 30% the speed of light and dodge lasers at 29% the speed of light.

John: this is where people tend to stop for steven universe speed scaling. Why? Because of a certain quote said by pearl. Gems cannot move faster than light due to their light based structure. It seems legitimate right? Well… no. There are multiple instances where they move faster than light without affecting their bodies. Implying that the speed of light in Steven universe’s verse is much faster than in reality. For example, in the very episode this concept was brought up in.

Wiz: too leave in the asteroid belt in 16 seconds. They must be moving at 31 times the speed of light and their bodies were no worse for wear. So that shoots that statement in the foot. Not just that either. Lapis. Who pearl should scale to due to her fighting jasper who can catch mid flight. Was able to fly to homeworld and back in presumably 56 days.

Info box: homeworld is stated to be in another galaxy and is so bright that it can be seen very clearly in the sky while in the early hours in the morning. Meaning it has a magnitude of -29. So it is likely the brightest galaxy in the universe. WISE J224607.57−052635.0. Which is 25 billion light years away from earth.  

wiz: meaning she must be flying at 1.6 trillion times the speed of light. But her best speed feat is when she blitzes quartz soldiers. Who should be superior to the nephrites who could react to the corrupting light of the diamonds. Which could move at 478 quadrillion times the speed of light. Dummy: So… far faster than what you were expecting huh? Don’t worry she is stupidly strong as well. She once again,can compare to garnet. Who punched a corrupted gem into a mountain. Splitting it. Meaning an energy of 173 tons of tnt. She also pierced through Peridot's hand ship…thing. Twice! This is impressive because it can survive its reentry to earth. Which would be an energy of 84 megatons.

Boomstick: also she should be superior to Steven while he was in the weakened he is in the movie. Where he was able to lift to a f–king gem injector. Which would weigh 276 kilotons of weight. Even better is the fodder of the verse. A ruby. Survived getting hit by the roaming eye. Which when using the area of the ruby. Means it must be getting hit with over 900 teratons of tnt. But best of all she could compare to lapis from earlier.

John: while in a cracked and weakened state she lifted all the water from the planet. Which would weigh 5 zettatons and in the time she lifted it she must be exerting an energy of 92 petatons to 10 zettatons. Made consistent with the fact that lapis lazuli's are terra formars of planets. Pearl should scale to this since jasper was clearly stronger than lapis and garnet can match the cracked lapis’s hydrokinesis with her strength. But with all this she is not perfect. She is a massive perfectionist and has slight neurosis.

Wiz: she strives to be the Mary poppins of the group but that is not always a help. She sometimes can fall under severe stress and sometimes can get overwhelmed. But if it’s one thing she got stressed about the most.

Pearl: Why won’t you just let me do this for you rose?!

Wiz: after rose gave birth to steven universe. The thing she loved most in the world was gone. Made even harder due to the fact she had a direct order from pink diamond. To never speak of the false shattering. Due to her pearl mindset of never disobeying orders she couldn't explain why felt responsible for the gem war,she couldn't share why she was so in love with Rose and she was unable to accept that things have changed. She was stuck in the past.

Boomstick: Pearl also felt Greg was the reason she lost rose. The one she loved most. But in a beautiful way. She barely outright blamed greg. It commonly felt like she blames herself more. But when breaking her final order. Accepting the fact that rose was gone. She grew to be more independent alongside her friends. She grew into her own gem and became something Rose would be proud of. She did it for her. She did it for him. But now she is a crystal gem and now she does it for… herself.

Jade

Boomstick: welcome to a world of stick figure’s that kick –s. Cier. a continent ruled by these stick-like creatures. In this continent there are many duelers. Who compete in special competitions called dojo-duels. To find out who is stronger and get… rice. Ok. I mean rwby has dust but still.

Wiz: these “duelers” can form/join special groups called clans. There are many clans formed in the history of cier. But one of the greatest. Is clan “nemesis”. Being especially well known for their leader. jade.

Jade

Wiz: jade was born to the edenian kingdom. Which were well known for their fans. The fans were passed from generation to generation, no one knows how old these weapons are, for what the elders know about, they're at least a thousand years old. How these weapons got their powers is a mystery lost to time. but The legend says that within these weapons, there is a goddess.

dummy: Back in the day when barbarians and thieves were an everyday issue across the entire kingdom a priestess begged her goddess to save her people from slaughter. The deity responded and decided to help the faithful woman. The elders say that the powerful being turned into the fans and lent the priestess her power to save those who she loved. The fans were much more powerful than the barbarians thought, and backed away in a few days. The priestess' pure intentions convinced the goddess to stay inside the blades in order to prevent another tragedy from happening in the future, making them indestructible.

boomstick: the woman was made the Queen of that village and watched after the weapons, increasing her bond with the goddess. At that moment a pact was made, the first daughter of the royal family had the duty to learn to use and manipulate the fans to defend her family and her people, and only them can activate the deity's powers.

John: But having a weapon of such power means that somebody wants a piece of it. So 3 mysterious men appeared with an army and Invaded the kingdom in search of it. In the sudden attack. The king/jade’s father. Despite his katana skill… was killed. Jade,her mom and her younger sister got into a boat. But they were attacked. So Jade was left alone. Not sure if she would ever see them again.

Boomstick: man… that got dark. So she soon appeared on the shore and swore revenge for what they did. She had trained hard and rough. Using her abilities to their highest ability. She found a guy named Vlak, who was a really skilled man with his pistol and knife, he helped her into her training and after several years of hard training she learnt how to use the fans perfectly. Now, she has decided to find the guys who attacked their village and take revenge.

Dummy:  she'll use any means necessary to get this done. During that the rhg tournaments began. Then she saw what she believed to be one of the invaders. so she joined the tournament to get revenge and kill him. But what does she have?

Dummy: she is well practiced in taekwondo. Taekwondo is a combination of martial arts, most of which originated in Korea. Among the oldest disciplines, some of which are over 2,000 years old. Things that influenced the development of Taekwondo are TaekKyon, Tae Kwonpup, Tae Kwon, T’ang-su, and Kwonpup. Use of circular hand movements influenced by Chinese martial arts can also be clearly seen in Taekwondo. It has also drawn inspiration from popular martial arts like Kung-fu kicking techniques, Judo, and Karate for linear and abrupt movements. Very much shown in her fights. She can even throw dark energy blasts and even has a pistol.

Fun fact box: she used the n word. You know the one. In that video while fighting the guy who stole her keys.

John: But of course who could forget her favorite weapon. Edenia. This weapon has been passed down from generation to generation. They come in the form of 2 steel fans. I’le Let Joselyne explain.

Joselyne: while seemingly far-fetched at first. These were actual weapons… sort of. War fans were originally just used by commanders to send signals to their soldiers. But later on there were multiple different types of war fans that were used in combat. with it being the most similar to the tessen fan. That was used in places where swords were not allowed. Having its steel-work hidden inside its seemingly harmless exterior.

John: she even uses the fans somewhat-similarly to how japanese warriors use the tessen. But unlike its older cousins. This is completely steel and has some perks. The main thing of which is its pyrokinesis. Adding a fiery flare to her attacks and can be used for extra elemental damage.

wiz: she not just can shoot fire with edenia. It increases her physicality immensely,can create explosions and can create fire force fields. She can even propel herself with edenia basically doing simulated flight. With this ability she can do a double helix flame tackle and she can shoot condensed fire of pure energy.

(cut to cast and john is posing with the fans)

Wiz: but this is not even Edenia's final form. She can change it into a spear at will. Making it even more powerful and even allowing her to fire blasts of rapid energy.

(john forms the spear)

John: cool! So watch me do this! (making warrior nosies)

Joselyn: no, wait!

(john spins the spear around but it starts shooting fire everywhere)

John: (stops making noises) how did i do.

(John looks around and sees wiz,boomstick,joselyn and dummy burnt.)

John: hehe… sorry.

(boomstick falls and we cut away from cast).

Dummy: edenia is a deadly weapon with many properties. So she plowed through the tournament to find the killer. But when she found a guy who looked eerily similar. He had amnesia. So it was hard to confirm. But she fought him anyway. Unlocking a new form. What we like to call. The phoenix state. In this form she gains a boost in power,fire and will to kill. But she harmed a bird in the chaos of her duel. So she took the bird in. caring for it until it was time for it to go. She learned a lesson and stopped going after the one who killed her parents.

Boomstick: so she formed the clan “nemesis”. An organization whose job is to not just duel but also protect cier from the many threats of its world. But anyway she also has a few misc stuff we gotta get out of the way. 1rst stick figures are very resilient and have natural healing factors. They can instantly recover from slashes or bruises. Heck one time. Alfa, an original rhg survived getting stabbed by like a dozen umbrella’s.

John: although it did take some time to recover and they did think he was dead. But still. Very tough to put down or out.

John: she is strong enough to break walls. Fight umbrella. Who could block bullets and survived a plane crashing into him with an energy of 688 tons of tnt. She can compare to reinz and arzon thanks to fighting gildedguy. Who could fight a chef named fry and who could fight 108 who both could fight time havok. Reinz can punch an island and destroy it. Assuming violent fragmentation.

Wiz: He must be hitting with 26.2 kilotons of tnt. She did a superior feat when she used her strongest attack. The phoenix flame. Where she covers her body in fire and takes the shape of a phoenix. Being strong enough to reduce gildedguy’s armor to dust and vaporize a massive pillar. When looking at nearby blimps to find its size. It must take an energy of 392 kilotons of tnt to do so.

Boomstick: d–m this girl has some power behind her and this is not even close to her limit. Not even bog can damage gildedguy’s armor that badly and he could survive getting punched by a giant who was taller than the cloud line. Meaning it must have been 22 kilometers or 14 miles tall. If you were to collect all the tallest structures in the world and stack them like if they were lego’s. The giant would be taller.  

Dummy: meaning for bog to get punched by a giant of that size. The energy must be worth 312 megatons and larry. Another dueler. Can lift the leg which would weigh 14 gigatons. Arzon from earlier can dodge lightning at over 1000 times the speed of sound. But things get insane as scale her to… tentionmaru. Yes people might think it's insane to scale these people at all but there it is shown multiple times that characters that jade should be comparable to. Like umbrella could fight the imitator. Who could battle and survive hits from blue/green tentionmaru.  

Wiz: You see. The blue tentionmaru was his old super form. His old base was able to summon lightning that was seen from space.  Comparing the curvature of the earth to the lightning bolt. It must have an energy of 20 gigatons and must be moving at 40% the speed of light. Not that far fetched since a character called “legend” can travel around the world at 20% the speed of light.

boomstick: But with blue base he was able to destroy most of the earth with a hadouken. That’s an energy of 1.1 zettatons and 13 times the speed of light and justifying the tentionmaru scaling even more by the fact hyun survived this.  but the best feat is when he split the earth in half! For context he fought a rando black stick figure. Just minding his business.

John: Nothing special even slightly implied about him and tentionmaru just punched around the earth. Splitting it in 2 and moving the pieces slightly. Meaning an energy of 2.2 ninatons and considering the weight of the guy. Needs a speed of 1.2 billion times the speed of light.  And this guy was a rando. Considering that. Jade must have the power of hundreds of ninatons if not a few tenatons.

dummy: But since the rando never reacted while being punched. We cannot say she scales to the speed. But considering she should scale to at blue and potentially green tentionmaru. Even assuming she is 1% of that speed. She must have a speed of 1.2 million times the speed of light. But she is more likely 10% of that speed. Meaning a speed of 12 million. She is also surprisingly smart. Coming up with strategies on the fly and even coming up with a coordinated against the umbrella foundation. A military unit and turned out successful. She uses her fire for powerful and quick strikes.

wiz: Switching between edenai’s spear and fan forms to keep his opponents off guard. While she can be disarmed and most of her powers come from her fan. although You would have to be pretty stealthy in order to do that. She has grown a lot in her adventures. Overcoming her past,making new friends and facing impossible odds.

Boomstick: She even found her sister. Who was apparently alive. Good for her. Either way. She will fight with valor. wielding the powers of her goddess. Who will always be on her side.

Jade: I never should’ve been a fighter.

She places her spear near the bird and walks away. The bird opens its eyes.

(bird chirping)

She runs back and checks it.

Jade: You're alive! Alright… guess I'll have to take care of you. At least you’re back in the skies again.

She does her hair.

Jade: So the fighting stops. For now.

She grabs her spear and walks away with the bird.

Battle

It is a beautiful day in a field near a river. Jade is admiring the place as a blue light appears. Revealing… pearl.

Pearl: Alright, what’s the problem… wait… where am i? Where are the others! Garnet! Pearl! Steven!... I guess they are not here. I guess I have to go looking for them.

Pearl notices jade and decides to talk to her.

Pearl: hello. Are you a resident of this planet?

Jade: … yes? Wait, who are you?

Pearl: oh, where are my manners? I’m pearl. Member of the crystal gems. I am from another planet that you are likely not familiar with. I was supposed to be called for an urgent meeting but… it seems that my transporter malfunctioned and sent me here.

Jade: … ok. I’m jade.

Pearl: hmmm. You don’t look like the jade from my planet.

Jade: Well I guess that must be a different jade. Whatever, pearl… is it? I am just looking at this place. It’s truly wonderful.

Pearl: oh… it is…

Jade: What's that thing on your head?

Pearl: oh! That's my gem. Basically the core of being. You seem to resemble the humans on earth. But… more… colorful. Not that colorful is a bad thing! I am one to embrace presentation no matter what color somebody’s skin tone is so don’t take any offense to what I just said.

Jade: ok…

Pearl notices jade’s fans.

Pearl: What are those?

Jade: These are my fans. They're called edenia. Also… member of the crystal…

Pearl: gems.

Jade: gems, right. Turns out I am the leader/founder of the clan, “nemesis”.

Pearl: nemesis?

Jade: oh, it’s not what you think. You see on this… planet. We thrive for battle and we do battle in dojo duels.

Jades pulls out the fans and unfolds them.

Jade: These fans are great weapons of mine.

Pearl: well…

Pearl brings out her spear.

Pearl: me and others gems are also not afraid to battle and from what I can see right now. This will be a didactic learning experience.

Jade: Are you sure you want to do this? Because I would not like you to get hurt while ambassating.

Pearl: Well it’s been a while since i got to stretch my skills and honestly i have never met somebody of your species before. So I hope to know your unique traits.

Jade: well pearl. You're in for a surprise.

Jade alright then pearl girl. Let’s see what you got!

They charge as their blades clash.

Fight

They slash and fence with each other. Both showing grace with their weapons. Pearl swipes right but jade blocks. Pearl swipes left but the same thing happens. Jade slashes and swipes at pearl like a leopard. Pearl blocks some attacks but also gets hit some. Pearl slashes jade on the cheek but it heals instantly. They both show their skill as they continue.

Jade: You're good.

Pearl: You too. But you should really… work… on…

Pearl knocks jade off balance with a parry.  

Pearl: your balance!

Jade blocks the thrust with her fans and pushes her away. Jade shoots fire which knocks her away. Much to her surprise. Jade does a pose as Pearl is thinking about the situation.

(pearl: woah. The technology on this planet seems advanced. Those fans look like something a powerful gem would use.)

Pearl charges swiping again. Jade dodges. She repeatedly does so as pearl swipes again and again. Jade strikes as pearl blocks it with her spear. She pushes her and causes her to fall on the ground jade charges but trips and knocks pearl on her back as she tumbles a few feet.

Jade: sorry!

Pearl gets up as they both clash. Pearl runs away to gain some distance and shoots 3 blasts. Jade dodges and throws fire at pearl. Pearl is damaged a bit but she charges at jade. Jade uses her fans to disarm pearl of her spear and throws it away. Jade puts away her fans.

Jade: Let's see how strong you are in a good old fashioned fist fight.

Pearl: alright then… hiya!

Pearl charges but jade easily blocks her and kicks her in the gut. Pearl tries to chop but jade does a spin kick to her in the back. Pearl goes in for another strike but jade does a spin kick and hits her in the waist.

Pearl: oh!!

Jade: sorry i…!

Pearl pulls out another spear.

Jade: wait… how?

Pearl: Oh right… you never met a gem before. You see gems have special weapons of which they can call out on command. So your disarming thing will not work on me. Honestly I just tried to fight hand to hand because you insisted on it. Something I immediately regret.

Jade: truly noted.

They continue to clash with each other. Each like fencers. Scoring small hits on each other and blocking whatever strikes that come their way. Pearl shoots blasts at jade who dodges. Jade runs near the river. She feels the water on the heels of her feet and she turns back. She and Pearl circle each other. Pearl charges and does a jumping strike.  Jade dodges. Pearl is in the middle of the river. But she walks on water.

Jade: You can walk on water? Hmm,you gems are really full of surprises.

Pearl shoots “fireballs” at her. Jade runs and dodges. She blocks some with her fans and turns to boost herself with her fire. She hits Pearl with a punch that launches her several feet in the air.

Pearl: woah!

Jade boosts herself for a strike. Pearl counters and they do quick strikes while falling. Pearl blocks and thrusts at jade but jade uses her maneuverability to overwhelm pearl. Pearl kicks jade into the river. As she falls near it. Pearl gets up but not before noticing nearly the entire river is boiling.

Pearl: What is going on with…?

Jade jumps into the air. Edenia now in its spear form. She lands striking a pose.

Pearl: You have a spear as well?

Jade: correct. But now let's see how yours compares.

They clash with their spear. They slash and clash with each other. Jade uses both sides of her spear. Pearl is getting overwhelmed again. She shoots a blast and so does jade. Jade shoots several fire shots at pearl. Pearl gets hit by most. She throws her spear. Jade dodges. Pearl gets another spear to immediately stab jade. Jade heals and punches pearl. Pearl shoots at jade but she uses a fire forcefield. She shoots a wave of flame at pearl and changes Edenia back to fans to do a cross strike. Breaking pearl's spear.

Pearl: wait… those are the same weapon?

Jade: indeed. edenia can change at will between these 2 forms. I guess gems are not the only creatures with surprises.

Pearl: That's interesting.

She grabs her dropped spear and changes it to a trident.

Pearl: because my weapon can do that too!

She pulls out another trident. Dual wielding them.

Jade: Now that’s just showing off… I like it.

Pearl charges and as tridents and fans clash.

Pearl: no… it’s just skill and dedication.

Pearl gets some good slashes on jade. Jade blocks and shoots flames at pearl. She charges and slashes repeatedly. Pearl blocks and uses her tridents as if they were staffs. She shoots blasts from both of them. Jade uses a forcefield to block them and does a propelled knee kick to Pearl's chin. Launching her to the other side of the river that is now only half full.  Jade propels herself to their as pearl summons 5 holo-pearls.  

Holo-pearl: level 8000+!

Jade: What the?

Pearl: these are holo-pearls. Holographic clones of myself that I can summon on command. Just to make things a bit more challenging.  

Jade: Alright then. 6 vs 1. I’ve had worse odds.

They charged. a 2 holopearls slash at jade with both of their tridents. Jade changes edenia to its spear form. Blocking both pearls consistently. She shoots blasts that destroy one. Another holo-pearl steps in. the pearl’s attack quickly. Jade blocks again and again. Slashing multiple holo-pearls. The hollow pearls throw their tridents. Jade dodges. Jade lifts her spear and slams into the ground

Jade: alright! How about this!

She launches herself and the holo-pearls into the air with an explosion big enough to cover multiple city blocks . She slashes multiple holo-pearls at blinding speeds. Destroying them all Pearl jumps and shoots at jade. Jade dodges with her propulsion. Jade grabs pearl by the jacket and they fly above the clouds. Pearl uses the back of the trident to push jade off.Pearl and jade clash in the air. Jade changes Edenia to the fans as she shoots fire. Pearl dodges and swings at jade. Jade uses her taekwondo skills to kick pearl and rapidly hit her.

Jade: Now face the power of the immortal phoenix!

She propels herself into the air and crashes down. Flames forming a phoenix as pearl gets hit by a wing. Causing her to poof mid-air. The explosion creates a crater in the ground that stretches for miles. Her gem falls. Pearl’s gem luckily did not crack and pearl soon regenerated. She limply got up.

Pearl: ok. No more playing around.

She clapped her hands together and created a mist that covered the area.

Jade: huh? What is this?

She looks around. She notices a figure in the distance. She charges and stabs at it. But it was a holo-pearl that disappeared.

Jade: Where are you?

She looks around. She is struck in the back by pearl who runs off into the mist.

Jade ah! Show yourself!

Jade gets up. She looks around. She shoots out blasts from her spear but she hits nothing. She is looking around. The mist is blocking her vision. She gets slashed in the arm. She grabbed the holo-pearl that slashes her and punches it in the head. Destroying it. Jade is getting more angry. As she is getting striked again and again. She attacks another clone. She charges into the mist swiping blindly as too hopefully strike pearl. But she does not. The real pearl fires a “fireball” that jade gets hit by and a holo-pearl hits her in the back of the head with the blunt side of the trident as she was being launched back.

Pearl: you give up yet!

The holo-pearl points its spear at jade.

(jade: no… you cannot lose this jade. Rosa,gildedguy and the others are counting on you to win. You cannot give up now. But she is impossible to hit… no!! I am not losing this yet! The flames of edenia shall not burn in vain. I pray to you. My goddess. Show her the power you have. Show her the flames… of edenia!!!)

She creates a fiery explosion that pushes back the mist. She is in her phoenix state.

Pearl: what… how?

She sees the real pearl and shoots several blasts that explode rapid fire. Pearl barely dodges the exploding shots. And they are slowly catching up to her. She shoots her “fireballs” but jade just blocks them. Jade charges and breaks the trident pearl was wielding. Jade punches pearl. Launching her several meters away. Pearl creates 5 holo-pearls again and creates a mist. This time the mist is even thicker and harder to see through.

Jade: this trick again?

The pearls move in a circle formation so fast that they are blurs. They even stop sometimes on purpose to seem like there are even more of them. Jade’s eyes darted around. Trying to find the real pearl.

(jade: which one is real?! No,calm down jade. You're confusing yourself and that’s what she wants. Focus and she will reveal herself)

Jade leans her spear back and does the achilles thrust. Stabbing a holo-pearl as the real pearl strikes towards jade from behind. But that is what jade wants as she smirks and moves her spear back. Stabbing pearl in the chest and making the holo-pearls disappear. She Positions herself in front of pearl. Staring her in the eye’s pearl slumps in defeat. Jade removes the spear as pearl poofs. Jade looks at the gem on the ground as she raises her spear up.

(pearl: how? How did she find out? How could she know? I… I cannot lose this,I have too much to lose. I need to fight. Fight for the gems. Fight for steven. I need to do it. Do it for her,do it for him,do it…)

Pearl: for me!!!

Pearl’s gem shoots a flash of light. Blinding jade for a moment.  Pearl reforms and holds her trident tight. Jade shakes her head. She propels back twice and then charges. Thrusting her spear as her flames take the shape of a phoenix. Pearl stays in place. Positioning herself for a trident strike. The battle reaches its climax as they both take the form of a simplified stick figure style as it cuts to black. It cuts to the normal style. Jade is stabbed in the chest. Pearl shoots a blast that breaks through jade’s back. Jade falls to the ground unconscious.

Pearl: i… (gasp) What have I done?! I need to help her!

In a panic Pearl reaches into her gem and pulls out a bottle labeled “healing tears”.

Pearl: please work!

she pours it on the wound as it heals almost instantly. Jade wakes up confused.

Jade: (moaning) what happened?

Pearl: i… (sigh) Sorry about that.

Jade: Wait, how am I not dead?

Pearl: easy,healing tears.

Pearl pulls out the bottle and shows it to jade.

Jade: what?

Pearl: long story. The point is. You really showed to be a great warrior. Almost like me. But I guess we went just a bit too far on that last part.

Jade: thanks and apology accepted. This is not the first time that I got beaten by an… unorthodox warrior.

Jade: wait. Would you like to see my team?

Pearl: sure.

Jade: I hope I can meet your team as well.

Pear: maybe some other time.

They walk into the sunset. Having a battle they will never forget.

Boomstick: I heard of pouring salt onto the wound but not this literally. Well at least it helped I guess.

Wiz: This was an interesting fight. Jade was an incredible opponent with a goddess imbued weapon that would win a fair amount of these scenarios.  First, There was no doubt that jade was stronger. When comparing the rando surviving tentionmaru’s punch to the hydrokinesis of a cracked lapis lazuli. Jade would be 220 thousand times stronger than pearl. Again this was a rando. So The power difference is likely far greater than that. Also considering her phoenix attack can pulverize gildedguy’s armor.

John: Jade just needed one good hit and pearl and her gem would be reduced to a cloud of smoke. But she needed to catch pearl first. Which would be extremely difficult. Even assuming the absolute best case scenario for jade. Assuming she scales fully to the 1.2 billion times faster than light tentionmaru punch and using the lowest end of the diamonds corrupting light. Which was 48 trillion times faster than light.

boomstick: Pearl would still be 40 thousand times faster than jade. But using the far more likely estimates. Pearl would be nearly 40 billion times faster than jade. So yeah,that’s more than enough to overcome the power disadvantage. Although jade can slightly even things out with her phoenix state. Not just that. Plus the fact she is clearly the superior hand to hand fighter with her taekwondo skills.

dummy: She was far more resilient and her fans meant she had better defense than pearl. Her weapon changing would mean changing fighting styles on the fly. She also has superior mobility due to her simulated flight. plus not having a clear weakness is also helping her but pearl had a good fair amount of advantages as well. while her weapon forms maybe more limited. She had more options when it came to weapons. She can do things like throwing,dual wielding,fencing and a lot of other stuff she can do with her spears and tridents.

John: Plus her holo-pearls and mist manipulation would make it even harder for jade to hit pearl. as if it was hard enough.  they both might have been = in skill and ranged options but pearl was definitely smarter. As shown with her tony stark level ingenuity. She also has far more experience. thanks to her being thousands of years old and fighting a far wider range of opponents.

wiz: So she could adapt to jade pretty easily. Also her regenerative abilities were superior to jade’s as she can come back from being poofed. so that means she could come back swinging more quickly. you might think jade’s massive power gap and insane determination would mean that jade should be too much for pearl. but Pearl is used to facing more powerful opponents and using her speed and skills to compensate.

Boomstick: This was especially true in her fight with sugilite. Sugilite was far stronger and had impressive powers. But Pearl was able to beat her by keeping her distance and outsmarting her. Making her play the fool. So the same would likely happen here. While true, jade is’t exactly like sugilite.

John: This shows that pearl can fight against foes who had similar advantages over her and still come out on top. So this is the type of fight where pearl would truly excel in while jade would be  unlikely to fully catch up. Jade might have had the fiery passion of her goddess  but Pearl just had the speed,the experience and fantastically weird gem powers to quell the leader of clan “nemesis”.

Boomstick: e-ded not see that coming. But don’t be jaded. It’s over,it’s it?
