History[]
Born to wealthy parents, Patrick Bateman works as a stockbroker at Pierce & Pierce. He seems like your standard yuppie, obsessed with money, appearance and health. However, deep down is a much darker identity. When he's not working, he spends time at fancy restaurants and clubs. Bateman's victims usually consists of prostitutes or anyone who makes him seem inferior to them.
Eventually, Bateman would be chased down by police after attempting to shoot a stray cat and instead shooting an elderly woman. He eventually confesses to his crimes to his lawyer knowing there's no escape. The next day, he finds out that his lawyer had dinner with one of Bateman's supposed victims, Paul Allen, making it unknown whether or not everything was real or if it was all in his head.
