Description[]

Kid Icarus vs Hyperdimension Neptunia! Which of these two goddesses will come out on top! Will the goddess of light's intelligence be enough to take out Neptune? Or will the CPU of Planeptune's strength outmatch Palutena?

Interlude[]

Wiz: Throughout all of fiction, beings known as goddesses have been known to be some of the most powerful women in their universes.

Boomstick: And these two lovely ladies have proven themselves worthy of that title.

Wiz: Palutena, the goddess of light.

Boomstick: And Neptune, the CPU of Planeptune. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win....a Death Battle!

Palutena[]

Wiz: Angel Land, the kingdom where men and gods lived together in peace.

Boomstick: This place was ruled by two really hot chicks, and it was pretty nice until babe number two said "Hey you know what? Screw humans for some reason!" And straight up turned 'em all to stone, if you know what I mean.

Wiz: Boomstick that wasn't funny and you know it.

Boomstick: You're just mad that you're the smart one and I'm the funny and dashing one.

Wiz: Ugh, whatever. Getting back on point, the other ruler, Palutena, got wind of this and turned the other goddess into a monster known as Medusa and banished her to the underworld.

Boomstick: Eh, I'd tap that.

Wiz: Why does that not surprise me? Medusa, seeking revenge, decided to team up with the monsters in the underworld to exact her revenge on Palutena.

Boomstick: And she would've succeeded too, had it not been for Palutena sending a young angel named Pit on a quest to free her and defeat Medusa.

Wiz: After this, Palutena reestablished herself as ruler of Angel Land, restoring peace in the process.

Boomstick: Until Medusa returned twenty-five years later seeking revenge.... Again.

Wiz: After the Queen of the Underworld's resurrection, Palutena sent Pit to defeat her once more, she was with Pit every step of the way, guiding and helping him along his quest.

Boomstick: But things weren't always smooth sailing for the duo. After an alien invasion-

Wiz: -Because in a fantasy themed world of ancient castles, goddesses, and magic there are aliens for some reason-

Boomstick: -An enemy called Chaos Kin possessed our lady of Palutenism and forced her to fight the very angel she was guiding. Funny enough, that's where most of her fighting experience comes from!

Wiz: You said it Boomstick, Palutena doesn't fight that often, as she prefers to send Pit and the Centurions into battle.

Boomstick: I mean, if I had an army of loyal angels at my command I'm pretty sure I wouldn't do crap either. Unless I'm getting possessed and fighting them!

Wiz: However the Goddess of Light has proven herself to be capable fighter. In battle, Palutena wields a staff that can shoot various projectiles, ranging from balls of light with differing speeds, columns of light, and a halo that can fire projectiles.

Boomstick: But beyond this, Palutena has access to various powers which she uses to help Pit in the field.

Wiz: These powers allow her to create an explosion of flames, create a field around herself that damages enemies, create barriers that reflect projectiles, launch herself towards opponents, increase her speed, teleport, glide, launch herself into the air, and perform counter attacks.

Boomstick: Oh Wiz, you forgot about the black holes.

Wiz: Oh, uh.... Thanks for reminding me Boomstick. That's actually strangely useful of you.

Boomstick: No problem! I mean, imagine all the innuendos I wouldn't be able to make if we didn't bring them up!

Wiz: Keep that up and we're going to get fired. But getting back on track, Palutena's black holes deal minor damage to opponents as well as drag them towards it and lock them in place, so it's basically an over glorified stasis bomb.

Boomstick: Oh..... Well hey! At least she can make badass lasers!

Wiz: Indeed, the Mega Laser is quite a skill, as it allows to her launch a devestating blow. Alongside her powers Palutena is capable of floating for an indefinite amount of time, can summon storms, can fly, and can even find weak points that enemies have using "The Power of Weak-Point Exposure."

Boomstick: And then there's her ultimate attack: The Palutena Glam Buster, an attack she used to kill the Hewdraw, a giant three-headed dragon, after Pit had cut off two of it's three heads.

Wiz: With all of her abilities, Palutena has successfully ruled Angel Land, lead an army, and nearly defeated Pit in combat.

Boomstick: But that's not all!

Wiz: While the goddess of light was possessed by Chaos Kin and Pit was attempting to approach her temple, Palutena was able to easily fling around islands at Pit like it was nothing! It's a good thing

Boomstick: However, The Goddess of Light doesn't have much combat experience, overestimates herself in combat, and can still be defeated in battle despite being a goddess. Remember, she's immortal, not invincible. She can still be harmed like a normal human being. One that can brush off castle explosions anyways.

Wiz: But even without Pit and the Centurions, Palutena is still a force to be reckoned with.

Palutena: "As the goddess of light, it's my duty to protect humanity."

Neptune[]

Wiz: Celestia, home of the four CPUs that govern the four land masses of The World Below. And they all sorta.....

Boomstick: Hated each others fucking guts?

Wiz: Yeah, pretty much.

Boomstick: One day the four CPUs began to fight, ultimately ending up in a standstill. So one of them came up with the brilliant idea of "Hey, since we can't beat each other, why don't we just gang up on the one chick we hate the most!"

Wiz: More or less. After arguing about it for a while, three of the CPUs decided that Purple Heart, the CPU of Planeptune, would be the one they would gang up on.

Boomstick: Okay so I know this series is basically the console wars except swap out consoles with girls right?

Wiz: Uh huh.

Boomstick: And the three CPUs that ganged up on Purple Heart represent Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, while Purple Heart herself represents Sega.

Wiz: Yup.

Boomstick: Damn, maybe this is why Sega doesn't make consoles anymore.

Wiz: Either that or a lack of console sales and the downfall of a certain blue hedgehog.

Boomstick: Ouch, don't you think that was a bit much?

Wiz: Nah. After her defeat, Purple Heart was banished from Celestia and sent to the land below, known only as Gamindustri.

Boomstick: While surviving a fall that would kill a normal person mind you.

Wiz: After landing, Purple Heart was reverted into her human form, named Neptune-

Boomstick: Who is the cutest person ever by the way.

Wiz: -And was found by a young nurse-in-training named Compa.

Boomstick: Who is just as cute as, if not cuter, than Neptune and has a pretty nice rack as a bonus!

Wiz: I'm just going to start ignoring you. Folks at home, I suggest you do the same.

Boomstick: Aw, y'know the audience loves me Wizard. They just adore my inappropriate antics!

Wiz: You keep telling yourself that Boomstick. It's not like you're just here to break the mold while I actually do all the work or anything...

Boomstick: Hey! Don't make me bring up that funny/handsome thing again, cause if I go, the audience is coming with me!

Wiz: Alright, that's enough! Let's get back on track already....what were we talking about?

Boomstick: I dunno, some purple ditz.

Wiz: Oh yeah.....After recovering from her injuries, Neptune and Compa, along with their friend IF, set out on an epic quest to find four key fragments, rescue a tome named Histoire, and rally the other goddesses in an attempt to defeat the evil goddess, Arfoire. Of course, there are many more adventures and travels that her and the gang went on, but let's just get down to her abilities.

Boomstick: Being a CPU, Neptune is skilled in combat, and usually fights with swords.

Wiz: And being a JRPG character, Neptune has a large amount of skills at her disposal, like Rapid Rush, which slashes opponents five times. Mighty Blow, which hits the opponent with a powerful attack. And then there's also Hot, Ice, Blast, and Gaea Edge, which attacks with a weapon infused with fire, ice, wind, or earth respectively.

Boomstick: Break Crush lowers an opponents guard, Tera D-Drive strikes an opponent several times before launching them into the ground, Critical Edge launches a target into the air before slashing at them while in mid-air, Victory Slash, which is an extremely powerful two-hit combo, and then there's Nep Break, which is probably one of the most ridiculous attacks I have ever seen in my entire life.

Wiz: Nep Break allows Neptune to launch herself into the air and slash at the opponent numerous times before spin flipping her sword into the air, catching it, and then starts slashing at the enemy once again.

Boomstick: And if that didn't already seem like overkill, Neptune then proceeds to stab the opponent one last time, WHICH CAUSES THEM TO EXPLODE!

Wiz: But beyond this, Neptune is capable of transforming into her CPU form, Purple Heart, increasing all of her abilities, stats, defenses, attack potency, and everything else in between.

Boomstick: Not to mention, a nice little flying bonus to boot.

Wiz: And let's not forget about Blaze Break, which shoots massive balls of flame.

Boomstick: Hey Wiz, sorry to interrupt, but you're good at math right? Do me a quick favor and find out how big Purple Heart's rack is.

Wiz: Actually Boomstick, there's no need, as most of the characters from Hyperdimension Neptunia already have vital statistics, including Neptune.

Boomstick: Wiz. You know what you must do.

Wiz: *Sigh* Officially, Neptune's cup size is A, while Purple Heart's is E.

Boomstick: It's official Wiz, I can die a happy man now.

Wiz: Well before you do that, let's talk about HDD, which allows Neptune to transform into a......

Boomstick: You sitting down for this one folks?

Wiz: She turns into a goddamn fighter jet! That shoots lasers! Little girl, to goddess, to jet, how much more ridiculous can this one girl get?

Boomstick: Welp, looks like I just found another character to add to my list of potential wives.

Wiz: Neptune has fought a countless amount of monsters from Planeptune to Leanbox, even in her human form she has easily knocked down ancient dragons in just one kick.

Boomstick: Neptune's also survived long distance falls on two separate occasions.

Wiz: In HDN 1, Neptune managed to survive a fall from Celestia with only minor scratches and bruises, not to mention in her weaker human form. And she later followed this up by falling into a whole other dimension with no injuries at all!

Boomstick: Well, that's probably because Tsundere-Station broke her fall, but impressive none the less, especially for someone who wasn't even a goddess at the time!

Wiz: That's right, when Neptune entered the Ultradimension she lost her goddess powers.

Boomstick: Well let's stop talking about the times when she isn't a goddess and get to the times when she is a goddess and kicks ass doing it!

Wiz: Her CPU is fast enough to dodge laser fire, can defeat powerful clone goddesses, and has even survived attacks from the powerful CPU Yellow Heart AKA Peashy.

Boomstick: What's with this series and turning little girls into large and powerful goddesses?

Wiz: And let's not forget when she destroyed a giant chunk of Planeptune along with an enormous laser attached to it, all with her powerful move Victory Slash.

Boomstick: This series and it's lasers huh? Oh, she had help from the other goddesses on that feat by the way.

Wiz: Neptune has defeated many a dangerous a foe in her adventures to save Gameindustri and Celestia. On her first adventure, as we stated before, she defeated the witch turned CPU Arfoire, a powerful enemy who was planning to take over Gamindustri and Celestia.

Boomstick: And Arfoire isn't even the strongest bimbo foe that Neptune has faced either. Meet, Rei Ryghts, a CPU whose land, Tari had fallen. When Rei returned she had the power to destroy the entirety of Gamindustri!

Wiz: That's right, Rei Ryghts had the power to take down the whole continent of Gamindustri! But, everyone's favourite NepNep came to the rescue with the aid of the other goddesses.

Boomstick: If you lovely readers have been paying attention at home, you would've noticed a bit of a pattern occurring throughout some of Nep's feats....

Wiz: Being that Neptune has had a lot of outside help. Neppy almost exclusively travels in parties, having her friends always tag along. Virtually every time she has faced an opponent she has had help from her party members along the way.

Boomstick: Also, Neptune is pretty lazy in her human form, wanting to pretty much do nothing but eat pudding and play games, but her goddess form pretty much makes up for it, so meh. I like her CPU form more anyway, a lot more to admire in regards to her battling.

Wiz:.....

Boomstick:....What?

Wiz:....No pervy remark?

Boomstick: GASP! Wizard, do you take me as some type of rapscallion?!?

Wiz:.....

Boomstick: Okay I was talking about her rack, but I'm pretty sure we've gone off the inappropriate deep end already at this point.

Wiz: Meh, good point. Oh, and there is another weakness we haven't talked about.

Boomstick: The most fearful foe any combatant has faced, the most ferocious enemy known to man, CPU, or goddess, the villain that sends NepNeps running to their mommies..........EGGPLANTS!

Wiz: That's right, for whatever reason, Neptune has an irrational fear...of eggplants.

Boomstick: We're not joking folks. Eggplants bring down this oh so powerful goddess to her knees.

Wiz: Why eggplants though? What a weird phobia.

Boomstick: Just like your phobia of messing up on karaoke night with the ladies.

Wiz: Boomstick I thought we'd never mention that again!

Boomstick: Oh Wiz, you know you can't trust me! And besides, we need to discuss one of her biggest weaknesses! That her CPU powers have a time limit, and that they can run outta "battery" and revert Neptune back into human form.

Wiz: Regardless of her weaknesses, Neptune is a fierce combatant, whether in her playful and care free human form, or her serious and headstrong goddess form, Neptune is a elegant and powerful CPU to be reckoned with.

Neptune: Don't be foolish. Well, it doesn't matter. Even against the three of you, Neptune does what you all don't! Do as you wish to me. I'll counter your attacks a hundred-fold!

Pre-Fight[]

Palutena v Neptune set

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, let's settle this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time... for a DEATH BATTLE!!!

Fight[]

Sunshine melted onto the plants and flowers of the grassy field, while the wind gently graced the sky with a low whistle. Because of its quiet serenity, you would never believe that this particular field was located a good distance away from Planeptune, the most technologically advanced kingdom in Gamindustri. Normally, the fields and outskirts of Planeptune are riddled with monsters, praying on villagers and guarding treasures, but today it was strangely dormant. Instead of the howling and roars of monsters, it was filled with the faint echo of Planeptune's busy hustle and bustle citizens, who were occupied with the traditional Planeptune lifestyle of playing games and gleefully chattering away under the kingdom's many blue and purple skyscrapers.

At least, that's how it was about twenty minutes ago….

Dogoos rocketed across the sky, as swarms of Pixel Invaders exploded into thin air. Flocks of monsters came swarming to this new threat in tides, and as soon as they got close to their new prey they were almost immediately sliced down. He quickly regained a firm grasp of his weapon and slowly turned to get a good view of the monsters surrounding him. Now that he had his weapon firmly in his hands, he spun it above his head, the weapon reflecting in the sun while beams of light bounced off the gold and blue metal. He then brought the blade down into both hands, getting ready to attack. With a final ruffle of his white, feathery, wings he lunged forward at his next target.

After hacking and slashing for a good while, the boy noticed that no monsters were left, except for one little blue blob. It was another one of those gooey, dog like piles of slime, and those were easy to get rid of. The little puddle gleefully attacked at the boy, tongue, and tail flailing in the wind. Knowing that the goo guys were a pushover, instead of using his treasured bow, he simply just kicked the monster out of sight. This time, however, some gooey remnants got on his clothes. His white toga was now spotted with blue goo, "Sheesh Lady Palutena, you could've warned me about those blue guys." Said the angel.

"I'm sorry Pit" replied Palutena, "you were doing so well, I didn't want to interrupt your performance!" Pit grumbled as he swept away the blue stains off of his toga, making sure that there were no globs of goop left.

"Don't be angry Pit, you handled those enemies perfectly, especially since this is the first time you've encountered them!" complimented Palutena. Pit looked around at the remains of the monsters he had just beaten. Before the tussle, he was thinking about how he had never encountered these creatures before, "You can say that again Lady Palutena, I didn't recognize any of them. How far are we from Skyworld anyway?" Palutena replied, "I'm not quite sure Pit, but it seems like an entirely different world."

To any onlooker, it would seem like Pit was talking to himself. In actuality, he communicated with the goddess through telepathy.

"I do know that these lands host thousands of people and that the inventions here are more advanced than our technology by who knows how much." said the goddess of light. Pit once again took in his surroundings, from the grassy hills and forests to the giant purple and blue buildings and domes in the distance that towered higher than any castle he had ever seen. The noises he heard were also alien to him, ranging from loud honks and screeches to banging, drilling, and futuristic noises he could not even fathom. Noticing Pit's confusion, Palutena interjected his thoughts, "Don't think too much about it Pit, knowledge like that should be saved for goddess-y types like me, okay?" Always appreciative of Lady Palutena's kindness, Pit confidently replied, "Right Lady Palutena!" Wanting to bring his mind off of the perplexing location they were in, he instead brought his mind back onto the enemies he had just slain. "Hey Lady Palutena, what were those blocky guys called?"

"I believe that they were called Terits Pit."

Now strolling past his previous battle zone, weapon in hand, he started to ask more questions about his now dead opponents. "How about those gooey guys?"

"Those are called Dogoos Pit. Shame they were enemies, they were adorable!"

"Yeah, but they got goo everywhere…" replied Pit, "How about those creatures with the flowers, what were they-" Before he could finish his question, a screech exploded into the air, as the sound of ground impacting footsteps collided with the earth. Pit turned around and before him stood the biggest enemy he had seen since arriving. A river of blood red scales ran along its body. It had two tree-like arms, and pointed claws on each hand. A growl escaped the beast's mouth, exposing its teeth. Leathery wings flapped with ferocity.

"A dragon!" cried Pit, "Now there's something I'm more used to." He swung his weapon forward and held it vertically in the air. The Palutena Bow was armed and ready to fire. The dragon flared its nostrils. "Not just a dragon Pit, but an ancient dragon, a gruesome enemy, but nothing you can't handle. You know what to do." Pit was ready to take this ancient dragon down, aiming directly toward the crimson dragon's head.

The dragon clicked its claws together and swung its tail. It growled a final time and got ready to charge at the small boy in front of him. Pit was ready for whatever the dragon was about to throw at him, and waited for it to make the first move. Before Pit released his arrow, and before the dragon could even think about taking another step, the beast reeled backward, howling in pain. It staggered and tried to stay on its feet, but the beast instead fell to its knees, groaning in agony,"Huh?" cried Pit, shocked at the dragon's sudden demise. Standing where the dragon once was, holding some type of sword-like weapon, was a young girl. The girl looked at Pit with dark purple eyes. Long pinkish hair flowed down her head. She wore a white dress, lined and dotted with purple. Pink and white striped leggings ran up to her thighs, and with a pair of white and purple boots to match. A letter N was on her chest and boots. "Oh, hello, my name is Nepgear, it's nice to meet you."

Pit was speechless. That little girl just took down a dragon with one blow. "Uh….hello?" asked Nepgear. Pit came to his senses with a shake of his head and returned a quick greeting. After he introduced himself, he asked what she was doing out here.

"Oh, well I'm in goddess training!" said Nepgear excitedly. What Nepgear just said made him more shocked than when she killed the dragon. Another goddess, in this place of all places, and Pit was positive he had never seen her before, "Uh, could you give me a second please?" asked Pit, turning around, "Lady Palutena, have you ever seen this girl before?" asked Pit. Pit was even more confused than earlier. Surely Lady Palutena had to know the answer.

"Sorry Pit, I've never seen her before. But she definitely doesn't look like a goddess to me. She's probably just a little girl playing pretend, it's really flattering to be quite honest with you."

"Playing pretend? I don't know Lady Palutena, she just took down that dragon all by herself!"

"Excuse me, who are you talking to?" asked Nepgear. The angel boy spun around looking nervous and pulling at his toga.

Nepgear had never seen anyone like this before. From his old-timey toga to the angel wings popping out of his back. The fact that he was talking to himself didn't help much either. Nepgear had been exploring the outskirts of Planeptune with her big sister for quite a while. After being forced out the house by their tome, her big sister was bribed with pudding to train Nepgear in fighting like a proper CPU, and also to raise their shares while they were at it. She had been mowing down monsters all day long, and their shares had actually been rising at a slow rate. But at some point, all the monsters fled, all rushing to another area. Not wanting to miss out on training, she had run off after them, asking her sister if she would wait behind. Being a little lazy, her sister agreed to wait behind while she went hunting. Now she had just destroyed the monster in sight and was now face to face with Pit the angel boy.

"Oh, well, actually, I'm talking to Lady Palutena, she's a goddess too." said the angel boy. Nepgear gave the angel boy a questioning look. The only other time she had seen other goddesses that she didn't know was if they were from another dimension or an evil revived CPU from long ago.

"So, you're the goddess of this place then?" questioned Pit.

"Oh no, my big sister Neptune is the CPU of Planeptune, not me. Like I said, I'm just training to become a goddess."

Pit's head was about to burst. Planeptune, CPU, and now another goddess? What the heck was going on in this place "Planeptune?”

Nepgear thought the angel boy looked like he was about to drop. Maybe he had never seen a goddess in person? Perhaps he was just crazy and made up the goddess in his head?

While both Pit and Neptune thought about how weird the other was, both their thoughts were interrupted by a loud "NEPGEAR!"

"Oh, Neptune, you followed me here after all?"

After walking what felt like hours (twenty minutes) Neptune had finally caught up with her little sister. After being forced to take a break from doing her important task of doing literally nothing and playing games from Histoire, she had to show her little sister how to beat the snot out of monsters like a proper CPU. At the very least she had the promise of Nep-Pudding once she got home. But of course, it couldn't be that easy. After Nep Junior had defeated her most recent band of bad guys she insisted on running after some that had turned tail and ran away. She said she would stay behind and wait, but she had gotten, like, super bored. She had finally found little Nep, who was hanging around some fruity angel boy, and she wanted to give her a piece of her mind for taking so long and making her wait just to talk to strangers.

"Neppy what are you doing out here?" Neptune crossed her arms and tapped her foot waiting for an answer.

"Oh, well….this is Pit, and he's not from around here, but he said he can talk to a goddess himself."

"He can talk to another CPU….is he from another dimension or something?"

"I dunno."

"Is he a revived evil entity?"

"I don't think so."

"Then I doubt he can talk to another goddess. Ya see Nepgear, this is why you need your big sister goddess to lead you right," said Neptune.

Despite how confident Neptune was, Pit wasn't taking that sitting down, "Hey, don't disregard me and Lady Palutena like that, she is the Goddess of Light and a superior goddess to whatever you are!"

"Oh please angel boy, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself, me and Nep Junior are the real CPUs in these parts, now you and your imaginary goddess go back to Lastation, the weirdoes always come from there."  Neptune could tell that angel boy had enough. The kid got out a golden bow, and a blue arrow appeared. Pit screamed out, "I have had it with you insulting Lady Palutena!" Neptune just shrugged, "Oh please buddy, I could beat you with a wooden sword." Nepgear looked disapprovingly at her big sister, "I don't think we should pick fights, Neptune, we don't know Pit."

Neptune turned towards her sister and winked. She was positive she could take down this kid without even having to turn into her CPU. "You ready Pitty?" mocked Neptune.

Pit was angry and was ready to shoot his arrow at this little "goddess". He aimed his arrow and was about to let it fly until a giant flash of light appeared. Pit lowered the Palutena Bow and covered his eyes, while the Nep sisters did the same. The light was flashing blue and white, and once it dimmed, out emerged an amazon of a woman. With long flowing green hair and golden laurels that graced her head. Her white dress, aligned with gold and red ornaments and trimmings, flapped in the wind. A blue and golden shield was strapped to her left arm, and she held a staff in her right hand. She looked towards Neptune and Nepgear with a cocky smile.

Neptune hmmed and put her finger on her chin. "Yep, definitely from another dimension."

Palutena turned toward the angel, "Don't worry about it Pit, I can handle this little girl with a wave of my staff. Just sit this one out and watch how a real goddess does things, mmkay." Pit looked between Lady Palutena and the two girls. "Yes ma'am Lady Palutena."

Nepgear watched as Pit flew out the way and root for Palutena on the sidelines. She then looked back at her sister, "Neptune, are you sure you wanna do this? She definitely looks like a powerful goddess." Once again, Neptune looked at her sister and proudly pointed at herself with her thumb, "Don't worry Nepgear, I'm the main character remember? Nothing bad can happen to me!”

Palutena and Neptune both got ready for their first move, each thinking they could quickly finish off the other…..

FIGHT!!!!

"Alright little girl, let's see what you can do." Palutena smiled as she swung her staff, ready to attack. Despite the fact that little Neptune had pretty much just said Palutena didn't really exist, she didn't really care. A cute little girl like her was no reason to get into a fuss over. Palutena would just simply wave her staff a couple of times, send Neptune flying off her feet, accept her apology, say goodbye, then Pit and herself could go on their merry way. Surprisingly, Neptune had shown zero reaction to her appearing out of nowhere. Most people are normally polite enough to hang their mouths open in shocked disbelief, but not her. Her sister was politely stunned enough.

Palutena made her staff glow a beautiful blue and white light, as she aimed it toward the little girl, "You ready Neptune, cause here I come!" The Goddess of Light shot a tiny beam of light towards Neppy, predicting that was all she needed to take the little kid down. The light zapped its way towards Neptune, bursting right in front of her face. As the small shimmer of light burnt out, Palutena expected Neptune to be on the floor crying, but she was perfectly fine. Neptune yawned and rubbed her eyes.

Neptune looked grumpily at the Goddess of Light, "Oh please, was that it? I thought that you would've done something a bit cooler. I guess I'll just have to show you what a real goddess can do. Prepare to get the green knocked out of your hair, lady!"

Neptune jumped into the air, as DVDs apparated out of nowhere and swirled around her. Ones and zeroes filled the sky. She stuck out her arms and legs, as her hair grew and her body got larger, her hoodie-dress disappearing. Her face turned more mature, her eyes now glowed brightly with blue, and a power symbol now dotted each eye.  As she was twirling through the air, pieces of purple and black armour flew around her body. Neptune braced for impact as each piece equipped itself to her body.

LEGS

WAIST

SHOULDER

Whether floating around her shoulders and waist or attaching themselves to her ankles, each metallic piece made an echoing clinking sound as it grasped onto her body.

BACK

Pairs of wings attached themselves to Neptune's back, glowing as she spread her arms outward.

HEAD

The final piece of armour clamped down on her head, two pieces with a neon blue X on each. With the final piece attached, she crossed her arms together and spun through the air. She then stood straight and spun one final time, her body was encased in black, blue, white, and purple. Neptune had just transformed into the CPU Purple Heart.

Purple Heart slowly floated to the ground. She now brandished a purple and black sword, almost as tall as she was. Despite its height, she spun it through the air seamlessly, making a shink sound as Purple Heart pointed it towards Palutena,"You may have talked down to me before, but now you stand in the face of a true goddess. I am CPU Purple Heart, goddess of Planeptune, and I am not to be underestimated!"

Palutena swore she heard Nepgear squeal from the sidelines, while Pit's gasp was very audible. The now taller, deeper voiced, and seemingly more serious woman standing in front of her where a little girl just was, looked incredibly more likely to make a more exciting throw down. Maybe she wouldn't end this by just waving her staff a few times.

"Alright Purple Heart, let's see if we can make this a bit more….fun for the both of us."

"I'll give you a whole lot more than just fun, Palutena."

Neptune vs Palutena

Purple Heart was done talking; it was time to get serious. She lowered her knees and sprung from the ground, cutting through the air towards Palutena, as the wind whipped past her. She swung down her blade right where the Goddess of Light was standing.

Quick on her feet, Palutena raised her staff just in time, halting Purple Heart's sword in its path. Both weapons made a clang sound that echoed throughout the landscape, both goddesses' hands and arms shook as the force of the other's weapon pushed down on each other. Purple Heart then spun in the air, quick as a cat, and lunged her sword to Palutena's right side. Palutena swung her staff and countered once again. This time, the CPU's sword ricocheted off of the Goddesses' weapon, giving Palutena a chance to get an advantage on the Goddess of Planeptune.

Just before Purple Heart was about to strike again, Palutena vanished. Right away, she appeared in midair, floating. Purple Heart wasn't surprised easily. She once again jumped back down to the ground and sprung off her feet into the air, brandishing her sword, ready to strike.

Palutena reacted just as quickly, swinging her staff forward as three blue comets of light erupted towards Neptune. The sky was now filled with a dark blue tint, as one after another, the three balls of light came towards Neptune. Purple Heart leaned towards the right, swerving out the way of the first one, as the second flew towards her, forcing her to squint as she soars towards Palutena. As the second stream of light shone straight towards Neptune, the first exploded behind her. With the comet of light exploding behind her, her eyes getting filled with light, and the wind scraping at her ears, running wildly through her hair, her senses were getting overwhelmed, but that did not matter. She was the Goddess and CPU of Planeptune, and some measly light meant nothing to her.

Purple Heart flew out the way of the second ball of light and just as easily dodged the third. Her target was now in front of her, floating. She swung her sword behind her, "Let's see how strong you really are!"  screamed Neptune as her blade swung down. But her sword just hit the air. Palutena was gone. Purple Heart was now by herself, just floating in the sky, "What type of trickery is this!" The CPU then heard a sound behind her. Before she could react she was hit in the back with a fiery pain. She grunted and swore under her breath as she was sent barreling down towards the ground.

Lady Palutena was starting to enjoy herself. After little Neptune had turned into Purple Heart, she became five times more serious. After trading a couple of blows, they were now both in the air, shooting and dodging balls of light. Yeah, this was pretty fun. Of course, it was more fun when you consider the fact that Palutena could teleport and that Purple Heart wasn't very used to it. This gave her the opportunity to get her new sparring partner right in the back, and now Purple Heart was spiraling towards the ground. One more blow should do the trick.

Palutena charged up her staff, getting ready to finish off this false goddess. Three sparks of light appeared above the Goddess of Light's head, sparkling and vibrating. She swung her staff into the air, but before she could fire she was surprised by what she saw. Purple Heart swished around in mid-air, gracefully and swiftly regaining balance. The CPU brandished her blade, and once again made her ascent towards the other goddess. Palutena chuckled in amusement. Purple Heart didn't feel the same.

"I'll wipe that smile off your pretty face, Palutena! You're a worthy opponent, I'll give you that, but I will not let you stand around and smirk and make a fool of me!" Palutena waved her staff and gave another quick smile, "I'm sure you won't Neppy, but you better think on your feet!" gleefully exclaimed Palutena as three plasma comets of light appeared from the sparks above Palutena's head and targeted onto Neptune, like missiles, as they shot towards her.

Purple Heart dodged them just as easily as the first batch, being extra careful to look out for more signs of trickery as she once again attempted to attack the Goddess of Light. Just like before she was almost face to face with the greened haired goddess, swinging her sword furiously, but once again sliced through nothing but the wind. Swearing under her breath, Purple Heart spun around, trying to locate Palutena before she got hit from behind a second time.

She was ready this time, however, and as soon as she saw a faint flash of light out of the corner of her eye, she swung her sword, stopping the butt of Palutena's staff from whacking her right in the face. Palutena stuck her tongue out in response and vanished once again. Neptune growled, but she didn't have enough time to get too hot headed, as once again, Palutena re-appeared to her right. Purple Heart's sword and Palutena's staff clanged as the two goddesses constantly blocked each other's strikes. Purple Heart desperately tried to stop every attempt from Palutena to catch her off guard, as their weapons bounced and clattered off of each other. To her left. Above her. To her right. To her right again. To her left. Right behind her. To her right. Purple Heart was able to smack away most of the oncoming blows and dodged the majority of the small light attacks that the other goddess fired at her. She flinched and gritted her teeth when the occasional staff attack landed a blow on her side, or when a small comet of light flew a bit too close and singed her thigh. Neptune lunged to her side blocking another strike, and right after Palutena teleported once again, she charged forward making good distance between her and the goddess.

As soon as Palutena reappeared, Purple Heart set into gear, driving straight towards the Goddess of Light. Neptune then hit the brakes and swung her sword through the air towards Palutena, who was caught unaware, "Critical Edge!" screamed the CPU, as she landed a crushing blow onto the goddess. She quickly followed up with an upward slash, right across the back, which launched Palutena even farther up into the air. With no time to spare, Purple Heart propelled herself upwards and sliced the green haired goddess as she flew by. Regaining her balance, Neptune brandished her sword ready for the next attack.

Palutena quickly regained her balance in the air. Purple Heart had actually landed a blow on her. And it was definitely going to leave a mark. But Palutena couldn't let Neppy get too proud of herself so she teasingly called out, "Neppy, you meanie! That attack just gave me ouchies!"

Visibly angry from miles away, Neptune let out a few curses, as her little sister called out from down below, "Don't let her anger you, Neptune!"

This seemed to give Nep more of a level head, as Pit called out to Palutena from the ground below just like Nepgear, "I believe in you Lady Palutena!" Palutena gave a little wave to the angel boy but was quickly interrupted by Neptune charging in once again, sounding off a battle cry at the top of her lungs. Palutena ducked under another sword swing, and swung right around the CPU, but Neptune counterattacked perfectly, swerving around and attacking the Goddess of Light again, "Rapid Rush!" howled the CPU, as she brought down her sword, a barrage of five strikes, quick as lightning. Palutena whacked all of the strikes away, but after the fifth, Neptune once again cried, "Rapid Rush!" bringing down her sword, Palutena feeling as if five bursts of wind had just come to life and attacked her. One after another, five after five, Purple Heart continued the onslaught of strikes, crying, "Rapid Rush!" every time. The air was now filled with Neptune's furious cries and the sounds of CLANKS and THUDS that burst from Purple Heart's sword and Palutena's staff.

To Palutena, Neptune seemed like a purple and black shadow, moving so quickly that she could barely be seen. With every set of five hits, Palutena could feel the ferocity of each strike. The green goddess winced whenever Neptune made it past her defense, slicing a bit of her arm or slashing off a bit of fabric. Now she was the one of the defensive, and that surely had to change. Before Purple Heart could start another Rapid Rush, the Goddess of Light used her staff to create a bright flash, engulfing herself in the light and blinding the CPU. When the flash of light simmered down, Purple Heart using her arm to rub her eyes, the green goddess was gone.

"Goddammit!" yelled the CPU. Neptune spun around, scanning the sky, trying to locate Palutena once again. Purple Heart could not find the elusive goddess, but she was determined to find her before she could teleport away another damn time.

She was so determined, she didn't notice the black hole appearing right next to her.

By the time she noticed, it was too late. The black hole had grown exponentially in size, engulfing the purple goddess. Neptune cursed as she let herself get tricked by the green woman yet again, as the black hole covered her entire body.

There were a few seconds of silence until the black hole erupted. Purple Heart cried out as the explosion shot her higher into the air, somehow freezing her in place. If the pain of the attack didn't hurt, the pain of getting fooled by Palutena again would've.

Just then, Palutena reappeared right in front of Neptune. Speak of the devil. The Goddess of Light hovered her way over to Nep, and to her complete and utter dismay, booped her on the nose, "Aaaaw, look at you little Nepu, all stuck in place. What a shame." The way she talked down to her made her want to punch her in the mouth. But sadly, her limbs were kinda stuck at the moment. The second I break out I'm going to cut her right out of the sky.

In fact, Purple Heart began to feel the muscles in her fingers start to regain mobility. Palutena didn't seem to notice, as she was preoccupied with annoyingly playing with Neptune's hair and poking her on the shoulder. As Neptune felt her body unfreeze from the bizarre black hole attack, she gripped her sword extra hard. Palutena continued to harass her, "Not so big and strong now are we Nep-"

"MIGHTY BLOW!"

-"Huh?"

Palutena was suddenly interrupted as Purple Heart swung her sword with the power truly befit of a goddess. Filled with strength, determination, ferocity, and the annoyance of getting her chin fondled condescendingly, the Goddess of Planeptune made sure to fulfill her self-made promise of cutting the other Goddess of Light right out of the sky, banging her sword into the green goddess' stomach, this being the first solid hit Neptune landed. Pit gasped in horror.

The Goddess of Light grunted from the pain of the sword swipe to her stomach, getting knocked back. Her dress torn open, revealing the blood from the wound sinking slowly down. Palutena felt a rage that she had never felt before, "That's it, NOW you've done it!"

Neptune responded, "What, not use to a little pain?"

“Not that! You ruined my outfit! Prepare to face my wrath, wretch!"

After Palutena charged at Purple Heart, she and Neptune danced across the sky, soaring and teleporting past each other trying to gain ground. The green and purple goddesses darted across the sky, shooting and hacking and whacking and slicing at each other. Palutena teleported far away once again, charging out her staff and sending out a missile of light larger than any other she had used so far. Purple Heart stopped in her tracks and screamed, "Blaze Break!" and from her sword burst a gigantic flame which hurtled forwards like an asteroid. The ball of light and the sphere of fire both collided, exploding on contact, light, fire, and smoke chaotically cascading in a detonation that took over the sky. Nepgear squealed from down below.

Palutena covered her eyes from the explosion, the blast filling her eyes with flame. Once the fire and the light withered, all that was left was smoke and ash. Palutena squinted down at the smoke, painting the blue sky and white clouds with streaks and puffs of grey. But eventually, the ash was cleared. By another fireball coming her way.

With a quick wave of her staff, Palutena cried out, "Reflect Barrier!" A barrier appeared before her, taking the brunt of the fiery attack in the nick of time. The fire was repelled from the green goddess and scattered into the air, leaving more smoke and wisps of flame in the air. The Reflect Barrier disappeared, Lady Palutena unharmed. She gave a quick sigh of relief…

"HOT EDGE!"

Plautena's brief moment of silence was interrupted as Purple Heart burst through the smoke and fire like a purple and black phoenix, and brought down her sword, with the power of fire now endowed, upon her green opponent. Palutena blocked just in time, but Ice Edge, Neptune crying out the name of her attack as she struck Palutena, immediately followed up Neptune's Hot Edge.

Continuing to dodge, Palutena could feel the heat of Neptune's sword when she used Hot Edge, the cold, icy, feel of Ice Edge cutting her shoulder, and the swiftness of Blast Edge flying by her.

Relentless, the CPU continued to bombard the other goddess with attacks, wanting this to end right here right now.

Vexed, the goddess was tired of Purple Heart's constant flurry of attacks and wanted it to end once and for all.

And I think I know just how to do that, both goddesses thought.

"NEPTUNE BREAK! I'll finish this!"

"MEGA LASER!"

Purple Heart propelled herself forward, sword emanating with power.

Palutena charged up her staff, glowing with might.

Neptune charged closer.

Palutena was fully charged.

From the heavens, a gigantic laser of energy and light came down. Its size was overwhelming, the brightness blinding. Purple Heart was erased from the sky before she could even get close to the green goddess.

Nepgear and Pit had their eyes glued to the fight since it's beginning. Both the young CPU and the angel watched as Purple Heart and Palutena continuously fought each other over the plains of Planeptune, both getting more and more submerged with every strike. Whenever one of the goddesses landed a blow on the other, either Pit or Nepgear would throw out cheers of encouragement, or when either goddess would get hit, Nepgear would let out a squeal of worry for her older sister while Pit would cry for Lady Palutena to return the attack tenfold!

But now, as Neptune hurtled towards the ground, getting shot down from the sky like a jet getting hit by a missile, Nepgear shrieked and ran towards her older sister. Purple Heart crashed into the ground, sword flying out of her hands, her limbs unnaturally snapping and twisting around as her body was shattered. Nepgear threw herself onto the grassy ground and flung her arms over Neptune, wailing, "No, Neptune! You can do it, Neppy! Get up and beat her!" Purple Heart barely stirred, dazed from the attack, her entire body drenched in bruises, red mixing in with the black, white, and purple of her CPU armour, parts of her skin burned from the sheer force of the light, all the while Nepgear's tears mixed in as she cried for her big sister to be okay.

Nepgear forgot everything: Pit, Palutena, the fight, all that mattered to her now was that her sister would be okay. Neptune may be foolish and lazy sometimes, but she was still her big sister, who was always there for her and made her laugh while they played games, who would always be brave and strong and unstoppable when she transformed into Purple Heart, who guided her to be a goddess one day herself. Looking down upon Purple Heart, her sister looked like a completely different person. Blood, bruises, and burns coating her entire body, dirt covering her from the crash landing, feeble and barely breathing in Nepgear's arms. This wasn't right. She was supposed to be the weakling little Nep Junior in her big sister's arms, not the other way around. And there was so much blood.

Nepgear continued to sob, clinging onto Neptune, not noticing the upcoming noise coming from behind her. As Nepgear lay there with Purple Heart, a motorcycle raced its way up to the two Planeptune goddesses and skidded to a halt right behind them. Two girls got off, one with long sleeves and long brown hair, the other riding behind her wearing a sweater and creamy pink hair. They both ran towards the crying Nepgear and knelt beside her. Nepgear barely looked up as she stuttered out between tears, "IF…Compa…Neptune is hurt really bad…I don't know if you can do anything about it..." Nepgear held back sniffs as Compa placed her hand on Nepgear's shoulder, "Neppy Junior, I think you should look up for a sec…" as Nepgear let out a whimper of confusion, she looked up from Neptune to see something astounding. Crowds of people were all making their ascent onto the Planeptune plains, all coming from the heart of the city itself. It looked like almost of all of Planeptune was there, all running over to where Neptune and Nepgear lay. All the way from the city, the citizens of Planeptune could see gigantic blasts of light fill the sky as their goddess zipped in and out of sight, slashing at an aerial foe. Eventually, word spread throughout the city that their goddess was on the ropes, and flocks of citizens came running to Purple Heart's aid. Pit was very confused.

As more people arrived, they saw their goddess in the state that she was in and began to cry out to her, "Get up Lady Purple Heart!" and "You can win Lady Purple Heart!" followed by "Please Lady Purple Heart, keep fighting!" As more and more people screamed out their encouragement and shared their hope that their goddess would be alright, and would get up and stop this supposed new goddess, it made Nepgear swell up with gratitude and hope. Maybe if Neptune could just hear her citizens cheering for her…

As the gigantic gathering of citizens surrounded the fallen CPU, a small winged TOME flew from the crowd, "Nepgear!" she called, "After viewing Neptune's fight from afar and seeing her like this…our shares have gone through the roof!" Nepgear gasped in response, with the shares going up, Neptune might have a chance to…

The younger CPU's train of thought was interrupted, as her attention was drawn towards her older sister. Purple Heart slowly got off of the ground and back onto her feet. The crowds of people watching were silenced in awe as they saw their goddess rise, slightly trembling and still wounded. The shares that Neptune had accumulated from her people were now contributing to her power, as she reached over and grabbed her sword. Her body felt like it had been cooked over a fire, the immense amount of light from Palutena's staff had rendered her almost completely defeated. But now, with a lot of shares she had gotten from her people, she could once again stand, and once again fight.

But before she could do anything, her younger sister tackled her, weeping and snuggling into her chest, "Oh Nep Nep! I thought that…that…" Nepgear choked on those final words, just happy to see her sister back on her feet again. Neptune briefly embraced her sister, reassuring her that everything would be all right before letting go and looking up and into the sky. Palutena had been watching everything. Purple Heart looked towards Nep Junior, "Don't worry about me Nepgear, your big sister can't be brought down that easily. I can feel the share energy flowing through me, and I feel more powerful than ever! Now, you and everyone else stand back. I believe this shall be my final hoorah against this woman!" The crowd ate up Purple Heart's words, as they all cheered on their goddess while they stepped back to give her room. Nepgear gave one final nod of encouragement as she scrambled back. Neptune had to admit, now that she had felt this woman's real power, she could believe her when she claimed she was a goddess. In fact, she still bore the damage she had gotten from battle, even if the shares counteracted the pain. But in the end, whether or not Palutena was a goddess was irrelevant. This woman was a test of her power as a Goddess, and she wasn't going to let anyone overpower her, especially not in front of her entire kingdom, her friends, and her little sister, "All right Palutena! Get ready to experience a CPU at her strongest!" Neptune blasted off into the sky, with the sound of a million cheers following her.

Lady Palutena had seen it all, from her position in the air. She thought she had dealt the final blow, shooting the agitating Neptune from the sky, with her Mega Laser. But now, she looked over a swarm of people, all making their way across the plains and charging towards the fallen Purple Heart. She saw that her little sister had her arms wrapped around her older sister. Maybe she had gone a little bit too far… From the mass of people congregating under her, Pit flew up to her, a flustered look on his face, "Lady Palutena, something crazy is happening down there!" Lady Palutena raised an eyebrow to Pit's proclamation, but sure enough, down below, she saw the recently struck down Neptune get back onto her feet, the people behind her cheering and little Nepgear cuddling her profusely. Did the power of love or something just revive her? How cliché. Pit interrupted her train of thought, "Lady Palutena, she looks like she's in fighting shape again, what are you going to do?" Palutena simply waved her staff and winked reassuringly. "Don't worry, Pit," she said, "I'll just bring out the big guns." Pit flapped out the way, as they both heard the noise of a million cheers and Neptune blasting off towards the green haired goddess.

Palutena activated her staff, sending out continuous blasts of blue energy, more than she conjured the entire fight. With each new spark that erupted from her staff, several more were shot out of the original, filling the sky with waves upon waves of energy blasts, all zooming their way towards Neptune.

The purple CPU whipped herself from side to side with the influence of an entire nation's share power inside of her, dodging the incoming blasts of energy quicker than ever before, despite the fact that she felt like there were hundreds of them, feeling the wind cut through her hair as she flew like a bullet towards Palutena.

Noticing that Purple Heart was picking up speed, easily evading every attack she sent her way, and seeing that Neptune was most likely going to attack with her annoying little sword once again, the Goddess of Light decided to prepare to dodge the oncoming missile of a CPU aiming right towards her. In the meantime, she'd charge up the big guns…

Getting ready to teleport just as Neptune was about to hit her with her sword, Palutena let the CPU get closer and closer. As Purple Heart gained ground, Palutena could see the anger in her eyes. The anger and the determination. And now that she was almost right in front of her, it was time to shoot that anger and determination right outta the sky. Palutena mumbled under her breath, "C'mon little NepNep, come at me and-"

"HDD NEPTUNE!"

"Wait, what?"

There was a flash of magenta light that surrounded Purple Heart as she called out the name of an attack she had never shown the Goddess of Light before. Palutena was caught aghast as something that didn't resemble Neptune in the slightest came out of the light and shot straight at her. Neptune had just turned into a jet. Purple Heart launched herself straight past Palutena, making her fling out of the way as the black and purple fighter jet rocketed off into the distance. Palutena heard another wave of cheers come from the crowd below.

The Nep-Jet turned tail, cutting through the air like a knife, the sound of her engines ringing in Palutena's ears. The Goddess of Light continued to shoot beams and light attacks, but the plane easily somersaulted and lunged to the side, it's purple engines lighting up the sky as Neptune pierced through the heavens at the speed of sound, straight towards Palutena once again.

Palutena was barely able to teleport away in time, as the Nep-Jet almost sliced straight through her, trying to ram straight into the green goddess like a bug on a car window. As soon as Palutena reappeared, the fighter jet turned around to face her once again, this time, she ejected missiles, like black arrows piercing across the sky, all heading towards Palutena's way. Palutena teleported out of the first missile's way, vanishing before the detonation could touch her. However, that couldn't save her from the fireworks display that was going on around her, each missile giving off red streaks that painted the sky as they blew up, creating black bursts that covered the sky's blue canvas.

Palutena was rocked back and forth, explosion upon explosion knocking her left and right, overwhelming her vision with the sight of a thousand sticks of purple dynamite going off. Palutena gritted her teeth and tried to retaliate by sending out another light attack, but before she could even blink the black fighter jet smashed into her, the pain itself felt like an explosion, as it hit her hard and spread across her entire body. The green goddess slipped off of the Nep-Jet, coughing as she attempted to retaliate, but once again she was bombarded with missiles. No matter where she teleported, the explosions caught up with her, everywhere she dodged the plane was able to zap across the sky and knock her around some more. She could barely think, or barely speak, and couldn't counterattack at all. Purple Heart gave a final push forward, charging into Palutena like a battering ram. Now it was Palutena was falling out of the sky. But among all the carnage and pain and explosions, she was able to recognize one thing. The Palutena Glam Blaster was fully charged.

Palutena let loose.

From the heavens, a gigantic beam of light drowned the sky, as the Palutena Glam Blaster was unleashed upon Purple Heart. You could no longer see Neptune amidst the light. The hundreds of people below all covered their eyes and screamed as the onslaught of light filled everyone's pupils, the power and heat radiating off of the attack. The beam kept expanding and expanding. No one could see anymore. When the Glam Blaster made contact with the ground below, the earth shook as people dropped to their knees. From far away, it looked like a nuke had gone off.

Even though it was over almost as soon as it begun, to the people below, it felt like it had lasted forever. This was the true power of a goddess. The devastating attack left a massive crater in the ground as if an asteroid hit. There was no Neptune to be found. Palutena lowered herself to the ground. The last thing she remembered seeing before her Glam Blaster went full force was the sight of a purple goddess, shrieking like a little girl as she was snuffed out of existence, the light overcoming her and swallowing her body whole, disappearing from the world as the light singed her entire body away, like a paper being lit on fire, slowly vanishing and burning away, but instead, the light eradicating it whole and bearing down upon you like a crashing ocean wave. But this wasn't water, and the pain must have been a thousand times worse.

As the Goddess of Light's feet touched the floor, once nice and grassy but now pitch black and empty, Pit ran up to her. The crowds had just now rehabilitated and had just begun to realize what had happened. They all cried and wept for their goddess, the loudest of all being the little sister of the defeated. Palutena teleported herself and Pit as far away as she could take them. This place started to depress her. She had enough of this land and its purple goddess.

Boomstick: Sniff Well, uh, that just happened sob.

Wiz: You doing alright Boomstick?

Boomstick: No Wiz, I'm not. The Nep's down man, the Nep's down!

Wiz: Err, right. Boomstick why don't you go sit over there and try to cheer up while I try to explain what just happened?

Boomstick: Y'know what? I will Wiz.

Wiz: While Neptune may have been more experienced and skilled in combat and had the better weapon, Palutena outclassed her in every other category.

Boomstick: Yeah.... seeing as how she was capable of fighting on par with Pit, who was strong enough to destroy the Aurum Hive. Meanwhile, Neptune was capable of fighting Rei Ryghts for a time, when the latter of the two had just destroyed a large portion of Planeptune.

Wiz: Next up, there's speed, a category that once again goes to Palutena.

Boomstick: Remember Pit? Yeah, that guy's also pretty fast, as he can keep up with lightning!

Wiz: Neptune on the other hand is only fast enough to dodge a barrage of hypersonic laser fire, which is a fairly large gap.

Boomstick: And since both of their destructive capabilities scale to their durability, this gives Palutena an edge in this category as well.

Wiz: Finally, we have their arsenal, and once again, Palutena takes it. Neptune may have had a larger amount of offensive techniques and transformations to increase her strength, but Palutena also had offensive powers to work with, as well as teleportation, barriers that can let her reflect projectiles, and even black holes that could lock Neppy in place.

Boomstick: And let's not forget that those transformations of Nep have a limit to how long they can be active,

Wiz: Now we know what some of you may be thinking, "Arfoire and Rei at their full strength are easily stronger than Palutena, so Neptune should be stronger and more durable, right?" and, you're right, they are.

Boomstick: But remember that Neptune had several CPUs fighting alongside her during those battles, so saying that she's as strong as those two when she rarely ever fights on her own is a pretty big stretch.

Wiz: On the other hand, Palutena and Pit's duel was a one-on-one confrontation with no outside interference save for commentary from Viridi and Hades, so saying those two are on par with one another is a lot more justified. Even if it wasn't, Palutena's feat of throwing and destroying several islands at Pit still outclasses Neptune's individual feats of strength.

Boomstick: Welp, looks like it's lights out for Neptune!

Wiz: The winner is Palutena.
