Description[]
The first episode of TheFrostKnight's rebooted Season 1 has Pac-Man and Rayman going at it in a fight to the death! Will Pac-Man get his butt handed to him, or does Rayman not stand a ghost of a chance?
Started On: June 21, 2021
Completed On: ???
P.S. I promise that from here on out, my fights won't be as short as before. From now on, my battles will at least be over 2,000 words. Although this one in particular is probably going to around 3,000 words. I've got a lot cool ideas for this battle.
Rules[]
- Both will be semi-composited so Rayman gets abilities from his educational games (I know it seems weird, but they actually make him pretty OP) and Pac-Man will get powers and feats from all Pac-Man games.
- I won't be scaling Pac-Man to the fighters from Smash Bros. or to Sonic from the Sonic Dash crossover.
Intro[]
Platforming heroes come in all shapes and sizes. And these two yellow fighters are the strangest of them all.
Pac-Man, the ghost-eating savior of Pac-Land.
And Rayman, the limbless hero of the glade.
I'm TheGameBoyAdvance, and it's my job to analyze their armor, weapons, and skill to find out who would win a death battle.
Pac-Man Chomps Into Death Battle![]
Back in the 80s, kids didn't have video game technology like ours. Instead, they mainly played with arcades. But there's one arcade character that stands out above the rest. His name is Pac-Man!
Pac-Man was created by Toru Iwatani after he looked at a pizza that was missing a slice, and he decided to make a character based around that.
For those who don't know, Pac-Man is the protector of Pac-Land. He always has to save the day from ghosts that want to take over.
It's a good thing Pac-Man isn't a pushover. He can fight and eat building-sized ghosts. These are the same ghosts who can create tornadoes!
He scales to Spooky, who created a storm over Pac-Land. Considering the storm type that Spooky made, he should be able to output over 6 megatons!
In his Planet form, which we will get into later, he could overpower the Space worm. How powerful is the Space worm? Well, he could suck in nearby planets! Based on the speed the planets moved as well as the mass, the Space worm could output 231 tenatons a.k.a enough to destroy a star!
His best feat is destroying Erwin's machine. Erwin's machine was stated to be able to survive the destruction of the Spectral Realm and the Pac-Man universe. Since Pac-Man damaged it, his attack potency is at least Universal!
Pac-Man isn't lacking in speed feats either. He could react to projectiles while piloting his ship. His ship could fly past stars within multiple seconds!
He can keep up Pointy-Head Aliens that can fly from Pac-World to deep outer space. He scales to Ms. Pac-Man who can dodge lightning bolts.
As for durability, Pac-Man can take hits from the building-sized ghosts and ghosts that can create tornadoes. Some of these ghosts include Spooky who is a city buster.
In his planet form, he can eat planets so his durability should also in the planetary range.
Lastly, he can take a punch from Erwin's machine which could collapse both the Spectral Realm and the Pac-Man universe.
Let's talk about Pac-Man's powers and abilities. As a yellow one, he has the unique ability to eat ghosts. He can negate their regeneration by doing so. With pellets, he can fire them as projectiles. He has a limited supply.
But his real arsenal lies in the power pellets and berries he owns.
His Power Pellet can make a ghost weaker and slower. His Shrink Ball Pellet can shrink him for 6 seconds. He can generate bolts of electricity with the Electro-Shock Pellet. With the Chrome Pellet, he can turn into metal and become invincible. The Shockwave Pellet can be used to make a shockwave when Pac-Man butt-bounces. With the Ribbon Loop Pellet, Pac-Man leaves a trail behind. Once the enemy is within the trail, it will generate a huge explosion!
Power Pellets aren't his only power-ups. He has abilities from Pac-Man 256 which I'm going to list.
- Laser - Fires a straightforward laser. Can go other directions with certain versions.
- Freeze - Slows down a ghost by freezing them. Can freeze a ghost solid or summon icicles with newer versions.
- Bomb - Turns Pac-Man into a living nuke. Detonates on impact.
- Tornado - Summons tornadoes
- Stealth - Turns Pac-Man invisible and intangible
- Fire - Leaves a trail of fire behind Pac-Man
- Trap - Summons one-use spikes
- Pac-Men - Creates smaller versions of Pac-Man
- Cherries - Transmutes ghosts into cherries
- Sonar - Same as Stealth except that this one lets Pac-Man create sonar waves to repel ghosts
- Electric - Shoots electricity
From the Ghostly Adventures series, Pac-Man can utilize Power Berries.
- Ice Berry - Allows user to manipulate ice
- Kung Fu Berry - Gives the user Kung Fu knowledge
- Pac-Zilla Berry - Increases the user's size
- Chameleon Berry - Gives the user invisiblity and a long tongue
- Fire Berry - Allows user to generate fire
- Granite Ball Berry - Turns the user into a stone ball
- Arachnid Berry - Gives the user spider powers
- Rubber Berry - Turns the user into a rubber ball
- Wind Berry - Allows the user to breath strong wind gusts
- Titanium Berry - Gives the user super strength and magnetic powers
His most powerful Power Berry is the Planet Berry, a special berry created by Sir Cumference. It turns Pac-Man into a planet with its own environment and atmosphere. This was powerful enough to eat a planet-busting meteor and overpower the Space worm.
Like nobody, Pac-Man has flaws. His power-ups have time limits and he can get very distracted by food.
But if you're having problems with ghosts, Pac-Man will be there! Or Luigi, and the Ghostbusters
Pac-Man: Waka Waka!
Rayman Winds Up For Death Battle![]
Welcome to the Glade of Dreams, a strange and peaceful world full of the weirdest creatures. This magical world was created by Polokus with the power of his dreams. Unfortunately, using his dreams to create the glade also meant that his nightmares would affect the world too. This event was the First Bad Dream, a cataclysmic event that spawned terrifying monsters and nightmares that terrorized the land.
Not all hope was lost. A group of fairies known as the Nymphs planned to create an agile and humorous hero that would defeat the nightmares and crack up Polokus with his hilarious antics. This was the legendary hero, Rayman!
In case you are wondering where are his limbs, which is understandable, he was created without them. While the Nymphs were on their way to the ritual, they got distracted with zombie chickens. As a result, they arrived with less Lums. There wasn't enough illumination to give him limbs. But surprisingly, him not having limbs is actually more helpful. I'll explain more when I talk about his abilities.
For now, let's talk about his power. Rayman scales past Mr. Dark, who could create a massive explosion. Measuring the height of the explosion in comparison with the mountains means Mr. Dark had to output over 1 Kiloton of TNT! Mr. Dark most likely exceeds that considering he toys with everyone until he battles Rayman.
He can hurt and even one-shot the Rabbids. These Rabbids can survive exploding themselves into space and even divebombing the Sun! For the second feat, that is over 32 exatons of TNT. That's powerful enough to destroy a moon!
While we're on the topic of the Rabbids, Rayman's burps could create shockwaves that span a continent! Using the shockwave formula and the time it took for the burp to travel, Rayman's burps are over 6 petatons, or enough to destroy multiple continents!
Rayman can shake a constellation. Taking the radius of a constellation and using the surface of the radius in place with the universe, Rayman's punches hit with over 1 MegaFoe. If you don't know what a MegaFoe is, it's 1,000,000 Foe. One Foe has the energy of a supernova, so Rayman hits with the force of over 1,000,000 supernovas!
Rayman could defeat the Nightmares in Rayman Legends, who were stated to create the worlds in the game. Each level and invaded level is described to be its own universe. This means Rayman should be Low Multiversal.
To prove that this isn't an outlier, Rayman should scale to the Rabbids who warped and destroyed his TV, which contains its own universe. Lastly, Rayman is stated and shown to be powered by the Heart of The World. The Heart of The World is responsible for creating Polokus along with the Glade of Dreams. Based on a description for Rayman 2, the Glade of Dreams has multiple universes contained within it (12 to be exact). So Rayman is powered by energy that can create multiple universes!
Every hero needs speed to compliment their strength. Luckily, Rayman has just that.
He consistently dodges bolts of electricity, which would be Massively Hypersonic. And he can scale to Murphy to could intercept bolts of lightning from a Zeus-like god.
Rayman can dodge laser beams from the Rabbids' mech. Before you say not all lasers are light speed, I have proof that it most likely is. For one, they don't explode when they make contact with Rayman or the ground. Secondly, the laser beams could burn a hole in a couch. Finally, they move in straight lines. This suggests that they are actually light speed.
Rayman scales to Razorbeard, who can react while piloting his ship in space. The average distance is 5 light years, and it takes two seconds for Razorbeard to pass by the stars. So Razorbeard would have to react at 2,366,766,945 times light speed or 1,587,193,270,284,528,405 miles per hour!
*Popup: It would be strange to assume Razorbeard used a vortex to travel considering that he was never shown using one.
To back this up, Rayman's attack speed is on a similar level. When Rayman punched the Dark Teensie into space, it took him 9 seconds to travel from the Glade to the moon. Assuming the nearest star to the constellation is about as close as the real world's closet star, that would mean Rayman sent the Dark Teensie to the moon 6755 light years in 9 seconds. That's 9474100000 times light speed, or 6,353,489,004,808,900,000 miles per hour!
Rayman is a very tough nut to crack. He can survive hits from Mr. Dark, who as we've stated before, is a casual town buster.
Remember those burps strong enough to destroy mulitiple continents. Well, that feat should scale to Rayman's durability as he was beside the Rabbids who also did the same feat.
Rayman has survived too many explosions to count. He no-sold the explosion of the Buccaneer, which is 10 megatons. Sure, Rayman's foot was seperated from his body but he wasn't actually injured. Rayman once again no-sold another explosion in the form of the factory in Moody Clouds. Using the explosion formula and the height of Rayman in comparison to the factory, Rayman had to survive a megaton of TNT!
Since Rayman's constellation feat was done with a physical attack, Rayman's durability would have to be comparable to his attack potency. And scaling of his attack potency, Rayman has taken hits from people that are comparable to him, so Rayman should have Low Multiversal durability!
Now that physicals are out of the way, let's talk about his natural abilities. Rayman's most well known power is his ability to control his body parts like telekinesis. He can throw his fist over 10 feet with the Telescopic Fist. He can do the same with his feet. And with the Bodyshot, Rayman can throw his torso downwards to break obstacles.
Speaking of his torso, Rayman can mold his body into a ball. He hardly uses this technique, but when he does, he either uses it like a basketball to play around or as a bowling ball to knock someone down.
His hair can be used as a helicopter to slow his descent. With air currents or blue Lums, he can fly freely.
Rayman is shown to be able to recreate his body. For example, when his body was turned to ash, he came back in the next scene just fine! His best feat comes from an educational game where Rayman is completely erased from existence! You'd have to attack his soul to kill him! (assuming he has one)
Another body-based ability Ray has is his power to shrink himself. He is just as fast and strong as he normally is in this state. However, he can only return back to normal with a star or a funnel.
With the Grimace, Rayman stretches his mouth wide with his hands, sticks out his tongue, rolls his eyes and makes a gurgling sound with his throat. As stupid as it sounds, it's actually useful for something. It can drive cowardly enemies mad with fear or remove darkness from someone like how it can cure Red Lums.
Although Rayman is more of a physical fighter, he's got some ranged attacks. Like the Magic Fist, an ability that grants Rayman the power to shoot energy projectiles. If charged, it can turn into a fireball.
In some minigames of Rayman Arena, Rayman can use the Ice Bullet to freeze an opponent solid for 2 seconds.
Another unnamed projectile Ray has allows him to take away someone's powers and use them for himself.
The Grappling Fist is a tether of energy that can be used to swing over obstacles or grab objects.
Teleportation is the last power Rayman has on him. It allows him to teleport (obviously). The max range of this ability is unknown, but we do know that he can go at least several feet with it.
While I'm talking about Rayman's abilities, I should mention his resistances. Rayman's body is very resistance to heat and magma as he wasn't affected when he was on top of a volcano when it erupted.
*Popup: While Rayman was stunned, this was most likely by the fall rather than the lava.
Transmutation isn't very useful on Rayman either. Yes, it will affect him, but Rayman can turn himself back in a matter of seconds. Like when he was turned into a frog.
*Popup: Rayman staying as a duck in Rayman Legends doesn't contradict his resistance as he transformed himself back to normal at the end of the level.
Rayman isn't affected very much by electricity either. He can no-sell it by spinning.
Lastly, ice manipulation isn't effective either considering he isn't bothered by the coldness of space.
Like most video game characters, Rayman has multiple power-ups on him to give or improve his abilities. But to prevent this section from being too long like my first Rayman bio, I'm just going to make little pointers.

Rayman, in no way, shape, or form is perfect. He's very impulsive and doesn't really think things through. The only exception is when he can't brute force his way through.
His hands are easily removable. Although this isn't a problem since they have minds of their own, they can't come back if their contained with an object.
Still, if you're having nightmares, you can always rely on Rayman to save the day.
Rayman: "Y'know, he's happier now. Look at the Red Lums. How happy they seem."

Fight![]
It was a beautiful night in the Glade of Dreams. The lums and electoons were playing together in the fields, Globox was picking berries, and Ly was meditating in the Woods of Light. However, those characters were irrelevant. The only one that was important to the story was a man. He stood out from the others, which is saying a lot considering how weird everyone else was, for his lack of limbs. He had a purple shirt with a big 'O' in the middle and a red hoodie. This was guardian of the glade, Rayman.
He was happily relaxing on his favorite resting place: the Snoring Tree. Rayman grabbed a fruit that resembled both a pumpkin and an orange that was right above his head. There was absolutely nothing that could ruin this peaceful night for him, he hoped. But he would soon realize that something was going to ruin this peaceful night for him. Or rather, someone.
Meanwhile, a man that was literally just a circle with limbs was walking around. His name was Pac-Man, the hero of Pac-Land. He may or may not have taken the wrong portal and ended up here. He didn't have a problem with this, though. This new world was quite tranquil, and better yet, there were no ghosts terrorizing the place.
Pac-Man was getting quite hungry, so he looked around for some dots for him to snack on. Just as luck would have it, he found a whole bunch of them around the area. With no hesitation, he jumped after them. Most of them moved away, but Pac-Man ate a few of them. Some of the dots that flew away started screaming in fear.
This was something Pac-Man had never seen before. If he recalled correctly, dots have never been able to scream or fly. Pac-Man eventually stopped thinking about it. He was way too hungry to care. He kept jumping at them, not knowing someone was watching him.
Back with Rayman, the hero was ready to get some shuteye. As he dozed off, a mysterious frog-fairy hybrid known as a Greenbottle flew up to him. The greenbottle winded his hand and then...
Rayman was slapped right off of the tree and onto the cold, hard ground! He groaned in irritation, knowing exactly who it is. "Murphy, what do you want?" Rayman asked. "I want a role as a main character. But that's not important right now. Quickly, follow me!" Murphy flew off at blinding speeds. Rayman really hoped this wasn't something stupid, especially since Murphy interrupted his sleep.
The fly and the thingamajig arrived to the destination. And what Rayman saw absolutely sickened him to the core.
It was Pac-Man eating of all those innocent lums! Before Murphy even had the chance to say something, Rayman dashed at Pac-Man before punching him. The remaining lums escaped from the field. Murphy flew off with them too, deciding Rayman could handle it from here.
Now with everyone escaping safely, Rayman could finally focus on his new opponent. Pac-Man recovered from the punch and boy was he angry. Both ran after each other with their fists reeled back. The battle could now truly begin.
Rayman and Pac-Man threw their punches. Pac-Man's punch connected with Rayman's nose, making Rayman's punch miss its target. Pac-Man threw multiple punches before ending the combo with an upward kick. Rayman was pushed back a small distance. The circle attempted to go in for another punch, but the fist that Rayman threw had hit him in the back. Rayman grabbed Pac-Man's body and kicked him in the air. Rayman jumped up in the air after him, but Pac-Man threw a pellet at the limbless wonder, resulting in Rayman crashing to the ground.
Pac-Man used the Butt Bounce while he was still above Rayman. The man with the eggplant for a body rolled out of the way before he got crushed. Pac-Man's im"pac"t cracked part of the ground. The circle man threw some more pellets. Rayman hopped around all of them and fired his projectiles with his Magic Fist.
Pac-Man didn't realize these were magical energy bullets. He mistook these for pellets. So he hopped towards them, trying to eat one. He would understand his mistake when it blasted him away. Rayman jumped up and tried to land an axe kick. Pac-Man rev-rolled out of the way. He then bounced all around the trees. Rayman tried punching him, but Pac-Man was way too fast for Rayman to hit.
Pac bounced into Ray multiple times. Rayman was knocked to the floor. He had thought of a plan to get Pac-Man to stay still. Pac-Man bounced back into the trees. The moment he bounced back to attack Rayman once again, Ray jumped up and slammed the ground. It created a shockwave that knocked Pac out of his ball form.
Now with this opportunity, Rayman grabbed Pac-Man's arm and charged his fist so fast, it caught on fire! Fearing for his life, Pac-Man activated Stealth. He phased out of Rayman's grasp. While Rayman was unable to see him, he walked away, planning to do a sneak attack. But Rayman didn't intend on letting this monster get away. He shot another energy bullet, but this one was green.
More importantly, it homed in on Pac-Man! Pac-Land's hero wasn't exactly worried despite this. After all, it's not like the Hound Bullet could actually hit him. Right?
Wrong. The Hound Bullet still damaged Pac-Man even though he was intangible. To make matters worse, Stealth had worn off. Rayman noticed this and threw a fist towards Pac-Man. It hit him, turned around, and hit him again! Rayman charged his basic normal bullet as electricity crackled around his hands. The normal energy ball had become a burning fireball!
Pac-Man rev-rolled up on a tree to avoid the fireball. The flames spread throughout the forest. Pac-Man pulled out the Ice Berry and ate it in one gulp. He spread his ice to the fire which put it out. The ghost hunter spread his ice to Rayman. It was cold but not quite cold enough. Rayman shot more fireballs to counter his ice. Rayman aimed a fireball at the ground. The fireball bounced on another tree, hitting Pac-Man and getting rid of his ice power-up.
Pac-Man landed right in front of Rayman. The limbless hero picked up the yellow circle and charged his fist once again. And this time, Pac-Man wasn't escaping. Rayman's fist connected with Pac-Man's back. Not only did the fist's impact hurt, but his skin was also being burned from the flames on Rayman's fist. The punch sent Pac-Land's flying so far, he landed on a nearby island known as The Valley.
A yellow rocket was heading towards the Cave of Skops. Pac-Man roughly crashed into caverns and into the lava. But he managed to grab onto the ledge of a platform. Pac-Man sighed in relief. He pulled himself up to safety. Pac-Land's hero was safe as Rayman wasn't anywhere in sight. Pac-Man began to look for an exit before he heard wings flapping.
Much to his surprise, Rayman had found Pac-Man, and he was flying on Bzzit! Pac-Man's eyes widened as he saw the mosquito firing projectiles. Pac-Man ran away while dodging the projectiles. Pac-Land's hero smashed through a wall, making some rocks crumble. The rocks fell in front of the wall. Bzzit sucked up all of the rocks before shooting them. The rocks collided with the yellow circle.
Pac-Man got back up right away. He ate a red Power Berry. His hands had fire surrounding him. Pac-Man shot a massive fireball, one that was too big for Bzzit to suck in! There was a massive explosion, destroying part of the cave and blasting the duo out of the area. Pac ran back to see if his opponent was defeated. He had a feeling that Rayman wasn't down yet.
And that feeling of his was correct. Rayman and Bzzit managed to get out of the way. The glade's hero jumped off Bzzit who flew away. Rayman ran towards Pac-Man with his fist ready while Pac-Man did the same.
Rayman landed the first hit this time. He went in for another punch, but Pac-Man rolled under it. Rayman put his hands up like a boxer, but seeing as how he doesn't have arms, you can tell that this wasn't very effective. Pac-Man planted a punch into Rayman's torso. The limbless hero stumbled back a bit from the pain. Pac-Man rev-rolled into Rayman, knocking him straight into the lava.
Pac-Man walked over to the edge. He looked to see if Rayman was still alive. He found out that Rayman was alive and well when Rayman jumped back up and smacked him. The mascot of Namco pulled out a Power Berry and tossed it into his mouth. This berry was the Granite Berry. Pac-Man was transformed into a stone ball, still wearing his gigantic grin.
The granite ball rolled towards Rayman. His limbless rival jumped over him. As a result, he ran into a wall, shaking the cave. Some stalactites fell down, forcing Rayman to move out of the way. Pac-Man once again rolled towards Rayman at full speed. He was too busy dodging stalactites to notice. The stone rolled over him which flattened Rayman like a pancake. Pac-Man reverted back to normal as his power-up ran out.
In another part of the cave, a scorpion was awoken by Rayman and Pac-Man's rumble. Mr. Skops angrily walked to the location of those obnoxious sounds.
Rayman put his thumb in his mouth and inflated himself back to normal. The Glade of Dreams's hero tossed a punch with his Telescopic Fist. Pac-Man ate a Power Pellet this time instead of a Power Berry. Specifally, it was the Chrome Pellet. Pac-Man turned into solid metal! Rayman's punch did nothing to him. The limbless hero threw multiple punches, all of them doing no damage.
Getting irritated, Rayman equipped the Heavy Metal Fist. His color scheme was now blue and red, and his hands had metal gloves with spikes on them. Rayman once again punched Pac-Man. And this time, it actually did some damage. Rayman threw several punches, and over time, Pac-Man's body was beginning to crack. For his last punch with the Heavy Metal Fist, Rayman grabbed Pac-Man and winded his fist.
Rayman's punch was fully charged now. To make things worse for the poor circle, his Chrome pellet had run out. The fist connected with his nose, and he was sent all over the cave like a spinball! As he was bouncing around, he bumped into something before falling on the ground. Rayman looked at what Pac-Man had bumped into and slowly started backing away. A gut feeling told Pac he should do anything but turn around. However, he did it anyway.
It was a very angry Mr. Skops! The scorpion roared before firing beams of energy from his tail! Pac-Man and Rayman jumped around, trying their hardest not to get incinerated. Suddenly, Rayman remembered how to defeat this guy. He threw his fist towards Mr. Skops and a beam followed it. The punch did nothing to him, but the energy beam that followed hit him right in the eye!
Mr. Skops writhed because of the pain. He aggressively slammed the ground, blasting Rayman and Pac-Man out of the cavern! Now with them out of the way, he could finally get some sleep.
Pac-Man landed roughly on the ground while Rayman hovered down slowly with his HairlyCopter. While he was still in the air, Rayman fired some projectiles at Pac. The yellow circle countered them with some normal pellets. Rayman turned off his helicopter hair and slammed himself into the ground. Pac-Man rolled from underneath Rayman. Pac-Man swallowed another Power Berry, turning him into a giant!
The giant lifted up his foot, ready to smash his limbless enemy into the ground. Rayman just barely moved out the way in time. He ran away as Pac-Man gave chase. Luckily for Rayman, he found what would hopefully be his saving grace. On top of a large tree was the Vortex, a power-up he desperately needed.
Rayman shrunk himself down to the size of an ant. The giant Pac-Man could no longer see his rival. So there was only one option left: smash everywhere until Rayman has been found.
The glade's hero quickly ran to the tree, but he wasn't getting very far thanks to his small size. He needed to think of a way to get there faster. He didn't have to think for long, however, as Pac-Man smashed the ground. It shattered the ground, tossing Rayman right by the tree. He run up as fast as he could. Unfortunately for him, Pac-Man had saw him flying in the air.
Rayman was standing right in front Laser-Detergent Can. He was just about to touch it, but then the tree that Rayman was lifted straight into the sky! Pac-Man swung it around like he was Mario and the tree was Bowser! He let go, sending the tree flying in the air. At this point, the tiny Rayman and the can already fell off. Rayman changed his size back to normal and grabbed the can.
His color scheme was now green and red, and his 'O' was yellowish. He charged up his fist, and fired a massive tornado that was at least twice the size of Pac-Man. It sucked up some of the nearby trees and turned them into tiny twigs. Pac-Man tried to run, but he didn't get very far. He was turned back to his normal size. Pac felt like he was going to throw up from his spinning.
Rayman fired more tornadoes. Pac-Man swallowed another Power Berry, the Wind Berry. He took a deep breath, and released a gust that redirected the tornadoes. Ray nullified them with some more tornadoes. The hero of the glade attempted to fire another hurricane, but his Vortex power-up ran out.
The hero of dreams pulled out a chain and grabbed at Pac-Man's legs. Pac was repeatedly slammed on the ground before being thrown into a crate. Pac tried to hold on to the ground, but Rayman pulled him towards him. Rayman did a ruthless combo of punches and kicks. To end of this combo, he charged his hand until it caught on fire once again and threw it at Pac-Man. By pure instinct, he did something neither of them would have expected.
He ate Rayman's fist.
Both of them stood in silence as they were still processing what the heck just happened. Some smoke came out from Pac-Man's mouth. Rayman panicked and waved his hand around, trying to see if he could get it out.
Pac-Man's stomach was beginning to feel weird. Suddenly, he was lifted and thrown around. Rayman noticed this as an evil grin grew on his face. It was at that moment that Pac-Man knew, he fucked up.
Rayman moved his hand up and down multiple times. Pac-Man was lifted and slammed on the ground. The guardian of the glade swung his hand around, swinging Pac-Man until he was dizzy. Pac-Man was about to shoot a pellet, but Rayman moved Pac-Man away from. The pellet missed its target. Rayman once again slammed Pac onto the ground.
Pac-Man ate a Fire Berry. His skin turned into a mix of yellow and orange. A crystal resembling a flame appeared on his head. With one breath, he released fire from his mouth. The hot flames burned Rayman's hand. The hand got out of his stomach and back to his owner.
Rayman switched his normal outfit for the Elvis costume. Pac-Man released a stream of flames which made Rayman counter with ice bullets. The ice bullets froze Pac-Man's fire breath solid! Ray froze the ground that Pac-Man was standing on. Not wanting to get frozen, Pac-Man leaped into the air. He shot some fireballs which Rayman once again countered with some ice.
Pac-Man fell down, but slipped due to frozen ground he was fighting on. Rayman took this chance to immobilize Pac via freezing him. The icy prison was way too cold for the hero of Pac-Land to melt with his fire. Not that it mattered anyway as his power-up ran out. The limbless wonder swapped back to his normal outfit and broke Pac-Man out with a punch.
The hero of Pac-Land "landed" into a tree beside a river. The crash knocked off several leaves. Rayman caught up to him and threw a burning energy sphere. Pac-Man ate a Shrink Pellet which shrunk to him to the size of a worm. Therefore, it allowed him to avoid the energy bullet. The hero of dreams shrunk himself down once again.
The fighters punched each other with all of the strength they could gather. Their fists collided so Pac-Man kicked Rayman's torso. It was knocked back a bit, but it came forward like a slingshot and smacked Pac-Man. Rayman latched onto Pac-Man with his chain before running up the tree. Pac-Man felt himself get splinters as he was dragged against the wood.
Rayman and Pac-Man landed on top of the branch. Pac-Man summoned mini versions of himself known as Pac-Men. Rayman was bit on his nose, hand, and torso. He removed the chain so that he could get the duplicates off of him. While that was happening, Pac-Man activated Laser. An orange beam fired from Pac-Man's mouth. Rayman was too busy killing the Pac-Men to notice, and the beam left a burn mark on his back.
The glade's guardian screeched in pain. He turned around and sucker punched Pac-Man. The strike shook the tree and got the attention of a squirrel that was collecting nuts. It came down to see a circle and limbless man. Ray and Pac looked up at the squirrel as an oversized sweat drop appeared on the back of their heads. The squirrel slapped them off the tree with a swipe of its tail.
The two combatants landed on a leaf that was about to fall into the river. Their fall gave the leaf the push it needed to get into the water. Rayman and Pac-Man were now going down the river which would eventually lead to a waterfall. Both had to defeat their enemy and escape before it was too late.
Pac-Man turned on Electric to try zapping Rayman into ashes. Rayman dodged the electricity attacks and shot Pac-Man with a rocket-like projectile. It took Pac's powers and gave them to Rayman! Electricity crackled around Rayman's fingertip before he fired the bolt of electricity. The hero of Pac-Land felt his body go numb as he got a taste of his own medicine.
With his opponent now on the ground, Rayman stood over him, ready to knock him off the leaf. As he was about to kick Pac-Man off, the leaf shook, almost knocking both of them off. They looked and saw a large (at least from their perspective) pirahna biting the leaf in an attempt to get to them!
With no other choice, they hopped to another leaf to avoid ending up on the fish's dinner plate. The piranha was determined to catch his food though. It swam after the two guardians with its mouth wide open. Rayman and Pac-Man jumped across multiple leaves as the piranha ate them all in one bite!
The three of them reached the edge of the water. Rayman and Pac-Man jumped off, screaming as they did. Pac's power-up ran out while Rayman changed himself back to his original size. Just as all hope seemed lost, two machines flew in: Pac-Man's spaceboard and the flying shell! Both of their respective equipment flew in and caught them before they fell to their death!
With their new flying devices, they flew off into space faster than the speed of light! Now they were in the depths of space, getting ready to put a end to this fight.
Hordes of bullets were fired towards Rayman that came the spaceboard. Rayman did a barrel roll around most of them. For the last one, he reflected it with his Magic Fist. Pac-Man countered his own bullet with one of his dots.
It was Rayman's turn to attack now. He started shooting projectiles as his flying shell did the same. Pac-Man found it increasingly difficult to dodge all of the attacks coming his way. Eventually, it was too much and he and his spaceboard were blasted away. The explosion created a smokescreen which Pac-Man used to eat a pellet.
The smoke had finally disappeared after a few seconds. Rayman immediately fired more bullets towards Pac-Man who flew around them. He swerved around them, not even trying to hit his limbless rival. Pac-Man had made a circle around Rayman who realized something very important. Pac-Man had set a trap! The glowing line around exploding, blasting Rayman and his flying shell!
Pac-Man looked to see if Rayman was truly dead this time. He'd get the answer to that question when Rayman jumped off his flying shell. Rayman grabbed Pac-Man with one hand and charged his other. The fist destroyed Pac-Man's spaceboard and sent Pac-Man far away.
Pac was on the verge on defeat. But he remembered something, a something that could save him from his fate. The Planet Berry! Pac-Man pulled it out from his hammerspace and chewed it in a second. He grew to the size of a planet within a second right in front of Rayman!
"This is huge! I can eat an entire planet now! Because I am an entire planet!" Rayman was shocked and nervous at the same time. One obivous reason is because Pac-Man had turned into a planet. The other reason is because prior to now, he didn't even know that Pac-Man was capable of speech.
However, Rayman wasn't going to let the fact that his enemy was now the size of a planet deter him. After all, if he failed now, more innocent creatures would be eaten alive. So with his impressive determination to win, Rayman...
flew away as fast as he could.
Pac-Man was admittedly stunned. He didn't stay that for long as he flew after the hero of dreams. Pac-Man chomped at Rayman multiple times, but the limbless legend repeatedly spun around his bite attacks. Pac-Man was getting irritated as he was unable to devour Rayman. So he thought of a plan. He ate a nearby moon, chewed it into multiple pieces, and fired it as if he was a gatling gun.
Ray shot some Magic Fist bullets as well as projectiles from his rocket. The energy projectiles and moon pieces collided. The pieces of what used to be the moon were shattered into even smaller pieces than before. Rayman pulled out what was one of his strongest power-ups: The Golden Fist! He donned it as his normally white gloves turned yellow.
Pac-Man flew towards Rayman, eating any of the moon fragments that were in his way. Unlike the last time, Rayman drove directly towards Pac-Man. Pac-Land's hero opened his large mouth as Rayman was seconds away from his mouth.
He chomped down, trapping Rayman in his mouth. Or so it seemed.
As it turns out, the only thing he snacked on was Rayman's flying shell. Pac-Man started coughing out smoke. Rayman himself already jumped off the rocket before he got ate. He was above the planet-sized Pac-Man, charging his fist once again. The Golden Fist increased Rayman's power even further. This was the end, and there was nothing he could do about. Rayman was way too close too him, so Pac-Man couldn't counterattack or dodge.
Once Rayman's attack connected with Pac-Man, it created a shockwave. A shockwave so powerful, it shook the entire universe! Rayman was pushed back to his planet.
The hero of The Glade of Dreams landed right back into his original spot. The difference was that Globox was now there right by him, sleeping peacfully. Rayman sighed in relief now that he defeated the threat that was Pac-Man. The lums surrounded Rayman and started snuggling with him. It was their own way of saying thanks.
As for Pac-Man, several pieces of his body were scattered. His arm crash landed on his own planet, right in front of his family. They were automatically traumatized once they realized who that arm belonged to.
Rayman and everyone else in the glade went to sleep. In the morning, they all celebrated Rayman once again saving the day.
Everyone in Pac-Land came to Pac-Man's funeral. His wife and children were all bunched together while crying.
Results[]
I wonder if Pac-Man is now hanging with Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde now.
Both were powerful and amazing heroes, but only one of them were coming out of this fight alive. And that one was, without a doubt, Rayman. Pac-Man was terribly outclassed here.
Pac-Man did have the advantage in experience as he's fought way more than Rayman has. And with the Kung-Fu Berry, he certainly outskills Ray.
Rayman is technically smarter as he's better at exploiting someone's weak points, but both are headstrong fighters who are fairly easy to trick. But intelligence, experience, and skill doesn't matter at all when the main reason Pac-Man lost is due to Rayman's monstrous physical advantage.
In terms of power, Pac-Man couldn't even come close. Rayman has one-shotted Rabbids, shook constellations, and defeated beings who created multiple universes while Pac-Man has only defeated building-busting ghosts.
"But what about Pac-Man destroying Erwin's robot who could survive the destruction of the Spectral Realm and the Pac-Man universe? Wouldn't that make Pac-Man comparable to Rayman?"
The short answer is no. The long answer is this; Not only would that be a massive outlier for Pac-Man, but it's more likely that Erwin was referring to his barrier which Pac-Man is incapable of breaking. But let's just say that Pac-Man is 2 times Universal. Rayman is around 31 times Universal. That's a 15.5 times strength advantage! Rayman would still one-shot either way.
Speed also went to Rayman. Let's highball Pac-Man's speed and say he is 1000 times the speed of light or MFTL. Rayman scales to Razorbeard who could react while flying his spaceship, a feat that comes out to over 2,000,000,000 times light speed. That's over 2,000,000 times Pac-Man's speed feats.
Durability goes to Rayman as well. He's survived hits from those who are comparable or stronger than him, so Pac-Man had no chance of hurting him.
Versatility was actually the one thing they were somewhat tied in. Both of their arsenals could counter each other for the most part, except Rayman could resist a good portion of Pac-Man's abilities. Any fire, ice, or electricity power-ups are attacks Rayman could tank like a champ considering he survived a volcano eruption, being in the depths of space without even acknowleging it, or the fact he no-sold electricity! And Rayman could revert himself back to normal if Pac-Man tried to transmute him.
But Pac-Man couldn't deal with Rayman's power absorption, fire that's hotter than the sun's surface, or ice that's 3 times colder than the coldest place on Earth.
"What about Planet Pac? Surely that could beat Rayman."
Not really. His planet form couldn't damage Rayman or survive a hit from him. Even if he could, Rayman still blitzes hard.
While both are iconic video game characters, Rayman had the power, the speed, and the toughness to take control. In the end, Pac-Man couldn't stomach this fight and didn't have a ray of hope.

Trivia[]
- The connections are:
- Both are happy-go-lucky video game mascots with the word "man" in their name. They have unique designs (Rayman has no limbs and Pac-Man is just a circle with limbs). On the topic of their designs, they both have yellow skin and a part of their clothing is red (Rayman's hoodie and Pac-Man's shoes). They used to be popular but have had a decrease in relevance due to a lack of games. Their fighting style mainly consists of H2H with a unique form of attack (Rayman throws his fist like a boomerang, and Pac-Man uses his butt as an attack). They typically fight creatures that come from another dimension to protect their homeland.
- The OST's name would be "Pac-ing a Punch". The art would be a picture of Pac-Man in his 2D form inside of a white circle. The white circle comes from Rayman's shirt.
- The fight would be in 2D sprites.
- Fun Fact: I was originally going to include a part where Pac-Man and Rayman would still be fighting on the leaves that would be flying after they fell off the waterfall, but I decided that section would be pointless to include.
