Boomstick: Science, its is tedious, compicated and boring, but it has manny benefits, it helps medicine, advances our understanding of the world, and is great to make explosions. And while most scientist have some lines they are unwilling to cross...
Wiz: Some of us have no such arbitrary limits.
Boomstick: Oook, like-
Wiz: Like Orochimaru, the snake-like visionary from Naruto.
Boomstick: This doesn't bode well.
Wiz: And Mayuri Kurotsuchi, resident Mad Scientist of the soul society, from Bleach.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our pleasure to analyze their weapons, armor and skills, to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Boomstick: Our WHAT?
Orochimaru[]
Wiz: Konoha, the Village Hidden within the Leaves, known throughout the world because of the incredible amount of Legendary ninjas it has created throughout its history.
Boomstick: Like Minato Namizake, who could move at the speed of lightning, or the third Hokage, who was said to know a thousand Jutsus, or the First Hokage, considered the father of modern Ninjutsu.
Wiz: But greatness comes in many shapes, and not all of them are good.
Boomstick: And it also comes from many different places, like this pasty-white orphan boy.
Wiz: Orphan or not, Orochimaru's signs of greatness showed from an early age, being called a genious by his sensei, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the future 3r Hokage.
Boomstick: His natural talent would become incredibly useful on the onset of the Second Shinobi World War, where , along with his teammates, would fight the legendary Hanzo of the Rain to a standstill, who named them the "Sannin". A name that would go down into legend.
Wiz: But metaphorical immortality was not enough for this genius. Orochimaru's curiosity and ambition was much grander than that. Seeking to unravel all the secrets of the world.
*Cut to clip of Orochimaru explaining tha blue and yellow make green, and that he seeks to discover all the colors in existance."
Wiz: Knowing the magnitude of this task, Orochimaru seeked to become immortal so he could have enough time to learn all that there was to learn.
Boomstick: Out of all the reasons one would want to become immortal, this is easily the worst. Seriously, it's like living forever and using it to go to school for all enternity. Death would be a preferable option.
Wiz: With a clear goal in mind, and after being passed for a promotion to ninja President, Orochimaru got to work...by perfoming a countless experiments on prisioners. But, hey, you can't make an omellette without extracting a few organs.
Boomstick: I should be worried that I know that's not how the saying goes, but I'm not paid to care. Anyway, eventually Orochimaru got caught red-handed and had to leave the villaged. But did that make him stop?
Wiz: Of course not, a good mad scientis must have some semblance of work-ethic. Even in exile, Orochimaru continued his quest for immortality, and planned his reveneg on the village that exiled him. In his research he made amazing breakthroughs, altering his body into stronger forms, and even managin to find a way of quasi-immortality by transfering his sould into a younger body.
Boomstick: But eventually old snake-boy ended up biting more than he could chew. He convinced everyone's favorite 2000's emo boy to abandon his village to get stronger when in truth he wanted to possess his body and steal his magical eyes to speed up his "learn everything" quest. Unfortunately, Sasuke proved to be too strong for Orochimaru to overhwelm and ended up trapping him in an illusion.
Wiz: Not being defeated by something as simple as that, Orochimaru managed to escape in the middle of Sasuke's fight with his brother...only to immediately be put in a different illusion.
Boomstick: Talk about bad luck, managing to come back from a fate worse than dead only to kicked back into another must be some kind of karmic punishment.
Wiz: And even THAT was not enough to keep him down. Genious like his couldn't go to waste, so, through a complicated series of events, Sasuke brought him back during the Fourth Ninja World War to help. After which he had a change of heart, was...evidently pardoned and continued to perform less morally-dubious experiments, like creating life.
Boomstick: Seems like they went easy on the guy who experimented on children.
Wiz: Genious getting its appropiate reward.
Boomstick: Regardless of morally questionable freedom, Orochimaru is a powerful warrior, combining his natural talent, his training and modifying his own body to be stronger.
Wiz: Every part of his body is a weapon, he can turn his tongue into a snake, extend his limbs and neck, he can absorb chakra with a touch, heal himself from damage as severe as lost limbs and bisection, no-sell powrful jutsus like paralyzis and has enough pysical strenght to go toe-to-toe with Tsunade, a kunoichi with enough strenght to collapse mountains.
Boomstick: And after being resurrected by Kabuto, he got the abilities of several of his former subordinates, and he also injected himself some White Zetsu DNA, giving him the ability to transform into other people and even stronger healing abilities.
Wiz: Orochimaru also possesses an incredible mastery over ninjutsu, as well as several other techniques. He can create gusts of wind, seal people's chakra, camouflage, paralyze targets, weild a mind-controlled blade, summon giant snakes for attack and giant gates for defense, turn into a giant-eigh-headed snake himself and bring back the dead.
Boomstick: This dude's so creepy, his goddam blood is poisonous, evaporating into air and paralyzing any who inhale it.
Wiz: He's also an increibly skilled swordman and hand-to-hand fighter, able to match Legendary Ninja like the 3rd Hokage. And after he died and came back, another long story, he gaines several new habilities, like Wood-release and a incredibly powerful healing factor. He has experimented with his body so much that his true form is actually a mounstrous snake composed of smaller snakes.
Boomstick: Made of smaller snakes, like they make up his boy? Where does he begin and the snakes end? Do the smaller snakes eat? Do the poo-
Wiz: And when he has his back against the wall, he pulls out his strongest move, the Eight Branches Technique, which transforms his body into a truly gargantuan eight-headed snake. He can even sprout from the mouth of one of the snake's for some trash talk.
Boomstick: I know this guy's thing is snakes, but I think hes commiting to the bit waaaay to much.
Wiz: And finally, after years of research, he actually managed a form of immortality; so long as someone bears Orochimaru's curse mark, it can be used to bring him back from the dead.
Boomstick: Nice, though it requires outside help to be able to do that so...not exactly the best form of immortality.
Wiz: Truly immortal or not, Orochimaru is both a genious scientist and a fiercesome warrior, truly someone to look up to.
Boomstick: Should I be worried?
Mayuri Kurotsuchi[]
Wiz: Soul Society, the final destination of most departed souls, and in the very center lies the Seretei, the headquarters of the Gotei 13, .
Boomstick: They are basically the police of the afterlife, black-clad samurai, called Soul Reapers, that protect innocent souls from monsters like hollows and criminals.
Wiz: But underneath the idea of protectors, there lies a tyranical and absolutist regime, willing to do anything to maintain the peace, like exile Soul Reapers infected by Hollows, blindly following some shifty orders and executing one of thier own, and having a dedicated prision to host people who MIGHT one day be a danger to Soul Society.
Boomstick: This is the Nest of Maggots. Charming name aside, you know that one co-worker who is always one bad day way from snapping, or had some veeeeery revolutionary ideas that you're sure were war-crimes, yeah this is where they put people like that before they...snap. And even amongst them one stood out.
Wiz: While soul society clearly didn't appreciate his genious, they at least recognized it, as in his own personal cell, separate from all the rabble, was Mayuri Kurotsuchi.
Boomstick: And after being freed by Kisuke Urahara, captain of the 12th Division, and eventually taking his position as captain after Urahara was exiled, Mayuri started to work to become the afterlife's creepiest scientist.
Wiz: Creepiest? You clearly mean greatest! Mayuri defied the limits of what a soul could do. Getting a myriad of habilities that make him a dreadful oponent to face.
Boomstick: While considered slow and phisically weak for a Gotei 13 captain, Mayri is still a Soul Reapers and he possesess a Zanpakuto , kind of if your soul could take the shape of a sword. And like most captains, he has achieved both Shikai and Bankai.
Wiz: When a shinigami first learns the name of their Zanpakuto, they achieve shikai, the first step in the path to mastery of their own soul. In response their Zanpakuto changes shape and gains a new ability.
Boomstick: In Mayuri's case, his sword, Ashisogi Jizō, becomes a weird baby-head-hilted trident that can poison you with a scratch. And noooo, it is not a regular, everyday poison that just kills you, this one immovilizes you without affecting your nerves, meaning you can still feel all the pain while the is nothing you can do about it!
Wiz: And to make sure his opponent can't move, the...hilt of Mayuri's blade can emmit a powerful scream that paralyzes anyone who hears it for 4 seconds, unless you share his blood, but only few are so lucky.
Boomstick: Creepy....and if that's not creepy enough, his Bankai is even worse.
Wiz: Bankai, the final form of a Zanpakuto and the proof one has true mastery over it. Bankai are as varied as their users, giving abilities that range from increased speed, Mayuri's is a little more special.
Boomstick: If by special you mean it transforms into a GIANT BABY-FACED POISON-BREATHING, BLADE-SPROITING CATERPILLAR! The yes, its special.
Wiz: And if his Bankai is not enough, Mayurí has modified his soul and his Zanpakuto has a different release, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō: Matai Fukuin Shōta.
Boomstick: Which is a GIANT, PURPLE BABY that can SPAWN MORE BABY FACED ABOMINATIONS TO FACE HIS OPPONENTS! What's this guy's deal with babies!
Wiz: With this ability he was able to hold back Paernida Parnkgjas, whose ability "The Compulsory" allowed him to invade and control other people's nerves. Mayurí achieved this by having Matai spawn a being which had 7000 thousand layers of nerves, each peeling off every time Pernidas tried to control it, effectively blocking the compulsory.
Boomstick: This is...so gross.
Wiz: But Mayuri not only relies on his Zanpakuto, being a genius he also has several tricks up his sleeve, using his intelligence and creativity to turn the tide in his favor.
Boomstick: He has modified his body extensively, gaining abilities like making it so his ear also doubles as a kusarigama, allowing him to turn into goo to avoid damage, and extending his arms like a cpreepy amrionette. He is also rather, creative when finding solutions against his opponents, like when faced with enemies who hid in the shadows, wearing clothes so bright there were no shadows left in the room.
Wiz: Another great example of this is when he faced Szayelaporro Granz,a powerful hollow who had been able to rip off his mask, an Arrancar. Ganz had the ability to create little people-dolls that reflected any damage they took on their user, almost like Voodoo dolls. So in preparation his battle, Mayuri replaced ALL OF HIS ORGANS with others that were more resistant to damage. These organs were so strong that even after Ganz completely destroyed the doll, Mayuri was completely unaffected, and he did this in LESS THAN AN HOUR.
Boomstick: Let's recap, this guy achieved MULTIPLE SURGERY on HIMSELF in less than an hour.
Wiz: He has an incredible arsenal of inventions, like cover that allows him to blend into his surroundings, clothes than explode when he is crushed, allowing him to escape whatever is confining him, injections that can regrow los LIMBS, spheres that can delay an object's time, drugs that trap you in a percieved time-loop or that just plain feeze your nerves and any organs connected to them, but his greates, and most devious, achievment is probably the Superhuman drug.
Boomstick: He takes drugs to become superhuman? That explains his gettup.
Wiz: Not exactly, the superhuman drug is actually for his opponents, when injected, it immensely elevates one's reflexes and perseption of time, but nothing else, and the body is unable to keep up. This way a victim could have thousands of thoughts before the elecectrical impulses the brain sends reach any nerves and make the boy part move, so, by the time your body moves the way you wished it to, it is thousands of thoughts behind, effectively becoming an incredibly tortuous form of paralysis. Under the effects of his drug a single second can feel like thousands of years to the brain.
Boomstick: The way this guy's brain works is truly terrifying.
Wiz: Be it to reanimate the corpses of dead hollows, to create data-gathering bacteria or human bombs, using either his skills as a Soul Reaper or as a scientist, Mayuri with stop all nothing to further his scientific knowledge, and to destroy any obstacle that dares stand on his way. Truly an inspiration for us all.
"... you may think the we operate on the same level, but you're wrong. The moment you started talking about perfection you embraced an impossible concept and you already lost to me. That is of course if you are indeed a scientist at all." -Mayuri
Death Battle![]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
Night falls on a rainy forest, the light sound of rain droowns almost any other sound, with the exception of a single being running for thier life. An unremarkable guy runs as fast as he can, trying to evade his pursuer. Sadly it was all for naught, as he tripped, and in a single instant his pursuer caught up to him.
"Oh, escape, escape, escape, why do you always try to escape, you know how much time, how much progress you waste? " A thin, odd-liking man commented on the victim. The man wore black and white-clothing and was mostly pale-white, with the excpetion of his face which appeared to be covered with black paint, and to complete the picture he wore and oddly-shped hat tha looked like ram horns. "Now, you're quite the specimen, lets go to my lab, there is a lot I have yet to find out."
With a quick movement, Mayuri Kurotsuchi knocked out his victim, but as he appreached to collect his prize, a kunai flew out of nowhere, almost connecting with his hand, had it not been for Mayuri's reflexes.
"How rude, can't you see I'm in the middle of expanding the horiuzons of science?" Mayuri said, offended, turning to see a pale, snake-like man standing on the branch of a tree, high above them,
"Rude? Rude it to take other's property, you see, that little rat escaped from my lab, he is mine" Orochimaru said.
"Finder's keepers looser's weepers, you had your chance and you wasted it, now he's mine, scram!" Mayuri retorted.
"Its seems someone needs to learn some manners." Said Orochimaru as he disappeared in an instant.
In a flash, Orochimaru had closed the distance between him and Mayuri, brandishing a blade with the intention of piercing Mayuri , but Mayuri had pulled his Zanpakuto and blocked the blade.
"You really need to learn your place." Mayuri commented.
"Then lets get this game started." Orochimaru answered.
FIGHT!
Orochimaru and Mayuri's blades continue to clash as they flash and move through the fores. Orochimaru eventually gaining the upper hand with a powerful slash. Mayuri is able to block the slash, but he is sent flying backwards by its force. Mayuri is able to quickly recover, but Orochimaru takes advantage of the opening, sprouting snakes from his arms which headed directly to Mayuri.
Mayuri reacts quickly, beaheading both snakes before they could reach him.
"How impudent, you are actually going to make put effort into this arenpt you?" Mayuri complained. "Rip, Ashisogi Jizō"
In a flash Mayuri´s sword changed shape, becoming a golden, three-pronged blade.
"Now let's get this game truly started!" exclaimed Mayuri.
In an instant, Mayuri disappeared, instantly appearing right before Orochimaru, slashing Ashisogi Jizo.
Cuaght by surprise, Orochimaru is barely able to block, being sent backwards by the strenght of the attack. Orochimaru was able to block most of the attack, recieving only a slash from the attack.
"Heh, to think you held speed like that all this time, waiting for the right time, and all that for just a scratch-urgh!" Orochimaru said "I-I can't move my limbs!"
"That is the effect of Ashisogi Jizo, feel as your every impulse gets blocked, leaving you completely unable to move." Mayuri boasted.
"My, my , seems you're more than any run-of-the-mill weirdo, you're quite the interesting subject." Orochimaru as his jaw expanded, unhinging like a snake, and from it a brand, new Orochimaru emerged, discarding the previous one like snake discarding an old skin. "An interesting subject indeed."
"Oh, it seems I was looking for copper and I found gold, you seem to be a much more interesting subject than this nobody, how about you acompany me to the lab, I promise you to treat you with the outmost respect a guinea pig could wish for" Mayuri.
"I'm sorry my friend, but it's you the one who's going to be a guinea pig!" Orochimaru answered and reumed his attack.
Orochimaru's blade once again clashed with Mayuri's as they moved through the forest.
"What would a nobody like you even do with a body like mine, I am too much of a treasure trove of knowledge for a fool like you to waste." Mayuri complained as he clashed with Orochimaru.
"A fool? My friend, I like to think myself more of a visionary. The world is full of variants and unknowns, every technique, every attack is made of a combination, chakra, hand seals, blood, there is just so much at play, and I want to discover it all. Yellow and Blue make, green, and those are just some of the most simple ingredients, now imagine what beautiful colors I can make using what I learn from you." Orochimaru explained, marking his last words with a powerful slash that cut off Mayur's arm.
"Arrghh!" Mayuri screamed "Urgh, behave like a good subject and stop fighting back! How annoying."
Commenting this, Mayuri injected a substance in his stump, regrowing his severed arm.
"That said, remind me to take good care of your brain, disecting it will be a very interesting experience." Mayuri commented. "Now, let's get this game started for real."
With a devious smile, Mayuri uttered a single word. "Bankai."
Glowing red, Mayuri's blade began to change, growing, bulging, acting no longer like mere metal, intead, it slowly took the shape of a living being, finally taking the form of a caterpillar with the face of a baby.
"Behold Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō , the ultimate form of my blade, it exudes a poison that will kill you in minutes, I would've loved to experment on such an interesting subject, but your corpse should suffice as a consolation price."
As soon as Mayuri finished speaking, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō opened its mouth, unleashing a massive cloud of gas that covered the entire forest.
Orochimaru jumped back, but he was unable to escape the gas. As soon as he landed, he started to feel the effects of the poison, seeing his limbs start turning purple.
"Interesting technique, I might be able to create and antidote, but I must end this first. No more holding back." Orochimaru commented.
Once again, Orochimaru opened his jaw, but this time, it wasn't a new body that came out. Instead, what came out was a mounstruous white snake, with a body composed of smaller and a face Orochimaru's, but with a more beastial form.
"Now die!" Orochimaru lunged, opening his jaw, ready for the final strike.
"Even more tricks up your sleeve, how interesting. Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō! End him!" Mayuri commanded.
Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō lunged once again, clashing with Orochimaru´s snake form. Orochimaru quickly gained the advantage, biting Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō and using his snake body to wrap around it. But as soon as Orochimaru seemed to have contained it, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō sprouted several blades from its, chest, impaling Orochimaru throughout his body.
Orochimaru screamed as his mounstrous body fell, blood spilling from his many wounds.
Orochimaru's body seemed death, but from the ehad emerged Orochimaru in a brand-new human body. Orochimaru looked in bad shape, hunched and panting, seemingly spent by his jutsu.
But he wouldn't get a chance, the moment he surfaced, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō dove and swallowed him whole.
"Very well done, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, before you spit it before fully digesting him, I need his corpse as intact as possibl-urgh!" Mayuri started to say.
"Noticing now are we." said Orochimaru's disembodied voice "My little white snakes are quite devious you know, hiding their venom in ther blood, it can infect people evn through simple air."
Mayuri could only grunt as he felt his body stop moving, completely paralyzed by the venom.
"Now, what were you saying, oh, yes, "End him" that sounds like a great idea."
Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō's body started to move, expanding from its midsection. Whatever was growing inside it was evidently too much to handle, as Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō started to contort, unable to fight whatever was inside it. Finally a giant, eight-heade snake emerged from from Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, ripping it open.
"You must consider yourself lucky, not many have forced me to pull this technique, now tremble as the Eight Branches destroy you!"
"Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, return!" Mayuri screamed.
In an instant, what was left of Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō dissolved into gas and returned to Mayurís hand.
"What are you doing? Are you truly that desperate, do you think you can match my Eight Branches?!" Orochimaru demanded.
"No, I just thought it would be impolite for you to show me your ultimate technique and for me not to respond in kind, Bankai, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō: Matai Fukuin Shōtai."
Mayuri's sword once again, began to change, swelling and expanding, but instead of transforming into its regular form, Konjiki Ashisogi took the form of a giant, purple baby with a scar on its belly. As son as it finished forming, its scar opened, a yello creature, the body looking like a combination of a giant water bug and a caterpillar with two scorpion-like tails, and its head that of a baby.
Once born, the creature exhaled a cloud of smoke on Mayuri. As soon as he inhaled the gas, Mayuri began moving again.
"That's much better, now, allow me to explain, this modified version of my bankai allows gived birth to new Konjiki Ashisogi Jizōs, created based on the information I have trasferred to it, and this one my pale friend, is made to destroy you."
"You presume to counter my ultimate technique?! How cute, I will remember your ego as aI dissect you!"
Orochimaru lunged with his eithg heads, ready to strike and end Mayuri. Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō reacted quickly, using its scythe to cut off one of orochimaru's heads, and the other scythe pinning down another. Orochimaru reacted quickly, using several of its heads to bite on the creature, leaving one last free.
The last head ignored the creatured and lunged directly at Mayuri, but Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō used its tail to pin it down, stabbing it through the throat.
But Orochimaru wasn't done, the last snake's head opened, and from it emerged Orochimaru's human body. Orochimaru once again lunged at Mayur, but, once again, the creature used one of its free tails to pin him down, stabbing him through the stomach.
But Orochimaru was not done.
"Striking shadow snake!" exclaimed Orochimaru.
As soon as he finished naing the technique, Orochimaru's tongue turned into a snake, which shot directly at Mayuri, too fast for him to reach, the snake striking him in the neck.
Mayuri grunted as the snake took him down.
"Got you, and as a little gift this venoms is quite more lethal than the previous one! HEHEHEHE! Orochimaru laughed, enjoying his apparent victory.
But Orochimaru's laugh drowned as a second laugh joined his chorus. It wasn't long before Orochimaru noticed that Mayuri was laughing, and, more importantly, very much alive.
"But, how!"
"Didn't I tell you, this Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō was made to counter you, I analyzed your venom, quite simple if I ay say, and quickly developed an antidote for it ant all it's variables it might posses."
"Y-you, you....y...." Orochimaru started to say.
"Oh, it must have been started to affect you, you knw, that trick of hiding your venom in your blood is quite nice, I tend to use a similar one, though I couldn't pull the same trick without Nemu here, so I had to improvise." Mayuri explained as he stood up and cut off the head of the snake that was still clinging to his neck,
"Biting me was the worst mistake you coul've ever made, the moment you touched my blood, you got in contact with one of my Superhuman drug. I'm not fond of repeated performanced, but well, it couln't be helped."
But Orochimaru was unable to undertand a word Mayuri said, the world was just too slow, in the moment since he had struck Mayur's neck, he falt as thousands of years had passed. And the worst part, was that his body wouldn't react to his thoughts, it was just too slow.
Mayuri calmly walked towards Orochimaru's body, stabbing him in the heart with an unnerving peace. Normally, this wouldn't have been much of a problem for Orochimaru, but his unresponsive body could do nothing as it slowly stopped working.
"Now, lets begin the dissection, and see what beautiful shades of color we can discover." Mayuri said to Orochimaru's ear.

Results[]
Boomstick: Holy sh*t that was terrifying!
Wiz: That was BEAUTIFUL! Truly a step forward for science!
Boomstick: Ooook, but yeah, Orochimaru was a fiercome fighter, clearly a better one than Mayuri, but strenght alone would not have been able to define the outcome of this battle.
Wiz: This was, first and foremost, a battle of minds rather than a battlle between warriors. And in the end Mayuri proved to be the better scientist.
Boomstick: Due to his honestly baffling disregard for combat, Mayuri is naturally more dependend on his guile for battle, as such he was ready for almost anything Orochimaru could throw at him.
Wiz: Mayuri's exploding armor could nullify any of Orochimaru's attempts to trap him while his drugs could repair almost any damage. Not to mention, Mayuri is incredibly resilient, surviving a giant hole being blasted through his abdomen.
Boomstick: Not to mention, due to Mayuri's incredibly modified body, there was a chance that Orochimaru's venom would be completely ineffective on him, seeing as they have never been referred as anything special. That said, ol Ochi wasn't without any advantages of his own.
Wiz: Orochimaru's abilities actually countered several of Mayuri's drugs, most notably, his ability to grow a whole new body and discard the old one like a snakeskin, meant that Mayur's nerve-freezing drug would be easily countered, and this is exactly how Pernida Parnkgjas escaped this particular drug, this would also give him an out to Mayuri's Shikai, as this particular ability doesn't seem to require hand-sings.
Boomstick: But despite all his talent, strenght and guile, Orochimaru had little to counter Mayuri's trump-cards, his Bankais and the Super-human drug.
Wiz: First things first, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō's natural posion, which it can spread on a 200 meter radius, would have been devastating for Orochimaru, as he has never shown any immunity to it, not to mention that Mayuri constantly changes his poisons, meaning Orchimaru woul've had a hard time countering it.
Boomstick: As for the creepy purple baby, well, it's ability consists of adapting against its oponent, it is a natural counter to almost anything. Yes it actually failed against Pernida, but Pernida was an ever-evolving being, and the right arm of a god, that is quite the different weight class from Orochimaru.
Wiz: And then we have the superhuman drug. For this one, Orochimaru had no possible counter, the drug directly affects the brain and in a way that could be interpreted as positive, much like a drug that enchances one's skills, things Orochimaru has been mentioned to use in the past, making it unlikely for him to detect it as a poison. Not to mention that due to the very nature of the drug, it would've been too late to do anything after it was detected.
Boomstick: Also, well...uhhh...we're not sure if Orochimaru could even see Mayuri.
Wiz: Mayuri is a soul reaper, basically a soul that uses its power to fight lost and cursed souls, and which normally appears invisible to those with low spiritual sensitivites. Now, this is not entirely certain with Orochimaru, who has seen his own soul, but souls in Naruto work very differently than how they do in Bleach. That said , Orochimaru is a trained and highly-skilled ninja, meaning that this wouldn't have affected the the result too much.
Boomstick: But Wiz, wouldn't Orochimaru be able to come back to life through his cursed seals?
Wiz: Yes, but that would require outside help, not to mention Mayuri is a soul reaper, meaning he could target Orochimaru's very soul, and genius himself, so he might be able to find a way to counter them.
Boomstick: And finally, Mayuri had a natural advantage, because as Hercules showed us, babies beat snakes, and Mayuri does seem to have a weird...obsession with those.
Wiz: Orochimaru was a tricky opponent, and one that could have easily been able to pull a few victories if we ran the simulation several times, but in the end Mayuri was far trickier, more readily-prepared and truly, the superior scientist.
Boomstick: Looks like Orochimaru couldn't slide out of this particular butterfly, the winner is Mayuri Kurotsuchi!
