Death Battle Fanon Wiki

This will be the S1 finale of quirky-wino's death battles

Description[]

Marvel vs TMNT, two heroes on their last legs and only one will survive a DEATH BATTLE

Interlude[]

Wiz: Heroes never surrender.

Boomstick: Even when all hope is lost, these two won't give up

Wiz: Like the grizzled and battle hardened mutant,Old Man Logan from Marvel.

Boomstick And the last surviving member of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, The Last Ronin. He's Wiz and I'M Boomstick

Old Man Logan[]

Wiz: The Year is 2029, Charles Xavier's seizures have caused almost all mutants to stop existing.

. Boomstick: Not a single mutant was born in two decades, hope for the future of mutants were all but none

Wiz: There was one mutant that survived, the hero formerly known as Wolverine.

Boomstick: He went through a mutant life crisis and decided to simply go by Logan

Wiz: But Logan was getting poisoned by his own adamantium, and his healing factor, barely exists. Boomstick:His healing factor is like the last few drops of pudding, it's there but it's really hard to get to'

Wiz: Weird metaphor but surprisingly accurate. After finding a woman dead, logan ran away with an old charles xavier and x-23.

Boomstick: Even older than my Grandpa, Logan can still kick some serious butt, he can stab through skulls and limbs, like it's made out of pudding. I'm really craving pudding today Wiz: Even without his full healing factor, Logan has survived getting shot and stabbed.

Boomstick: He runs over people with his car, which is a badass old man

Wiz: Logan still retains his claws, which are strong enough to cut human bones, and he takes steroids to give him a physical edge in fights. ' Boomstick:But he's old, like, born before sliced bread old,so he's not as strong as he was in his prime Wiz: But still, Old Man Logan was still able to finish off The Hulk, so he does have tremendous strength still left up in him

Boomstick: However one thing that hasn't changed is he still retains his vast amount of combat knowledge and instincts. Wiz:and Logan's journey in the dystopian future has made him even more relentless and ruthless. He's seen the worst of humanity and faced unimaginable tragedies, which has further fueled his determination to protect those he cares about and seek justice.

Boomstick:Logan's time in the wasteland has made him an expert tracker and survivalist. He knows how to navigate treacherous landscapes, scavenge for resources, and endure extreme conditions. He's a true survivor in every sense of the word.'

Wiz:. Old Man Logan may be past his prime, but he has proven time and time again that he's still a force to be reckoned with. His unwavering determination, combined with his unmatched combat skills and survival instincts, make him a true hero in a desolate world.

The Last Ronin[]

Wiz: New York City, once a bustling metropolis for pizza, turned into an dystopian regime ran by robots

Boomstick:What did I tell you about skynet? They were never to be trusted.

Wiz:Well actually the regime was ruled by OrokuHirito, the grandson of the shredder

Boomstick: And this shredder could do what the saturday morning villain couldn’t. Kill, and boy he did that a lot

Wiz: There was only one thing standing in his way, a figure known as the last ronin.

Boomstick: Hawkeye?

Wiz: No, although he did have a arc where he was called ronin

Boomstick: I smell copyright infringement

Wiz: The last ronin was the last remaining ninja turtle left.

Boomstick: Michelangelo, sorry spoiler alert.

Wiz: Gone was his party loving, wise cracking personality, to a more cold calculated and ruthless personality.

Boomstick: But how did he go from party dude to the bouncer at the party? Well twenty years before, the original shredder died and with that the foot clan offered a peace treaty

Wiz: But you know comics, that peace treaty was never going to last, and they went to war through various intances, the other tutles would be offed one by one.

Boomstick: Michelangelo was the only one to survive the attacks and he vowed to take down the new shredder, no matter the cost. Gnarly, dude.

Wiz: Michelangelo has trained himself in all of the turtles’s weapons, nunchucks, sais staffs and daggers

Boomstick: He’s trained in eighteen styles of ninjustu

Wiz: And he’s not just relying on the past either, he has a pair of metal tonfa that when clapped together produces a sound wave large enough to destroy robots

Boomstick: And those tonfa can also deflect bullets too, so pretty rad.

Wiz: Stop doing 80’s references, this is a modern reimagining, that doesn’t rely on the cartoon universe.

Boomstick: But he’s the party dude, oh wait is he the guy that does machines? No, he’s the teenager with attitude.

Wiz: And as Michlangelo got older, his mutant physiology began to improve, making him more durable than he was before, surviving stabbings and shootings

Boomstick: Although the trauma from losing his brothers has given him PTSD and hallucations of his brothers.

Wiz:Alright , the combatants are set! We’ve run the data through all possibilities! Boomstick It's time for a DEATH BATTLE

DEATH BATTLE=[]

The city was dark, rain pouring down on the streets.

A mysterious figure standing in the rain cloaked.

A bearded man came up to him.

“Hey bub, you’re blocking the way.” Logan said.

“Can’t a guy mourn in peace? It’s the anniversary of, you wouldn’t understand.”

“I don’t understand why you’re still in the way.” Logan kicked Michalenaglo backwards into a window.

“I see how it is. No rest for the wicked.” Michelangelo got out his nunchucks and threw them at Logan, using the chain to make them wrap around his head and pulled Logan forward, to slam him on the ground.

Logan got back up, blood dripping down his nose.

Logan groaned as he got back up, and started swiping at Michaleanglo causing some of his green skin to peel off.

Michelangelo got out the sais and pierced it through Logan’s hands.

Logan pulled the sai out of the hand, blood dripping off it.

“You have no idea what i’ve been through, you green faced freak, I’ll die trying.”

“That makes two of us.” Michalenglo ran towards Logan and pushed into his chest, holding on to his chest, making them both fly through a window.

“You’re not one to give up, are you?” Logan said

Michelangelo smirked, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Nah, bub. Giving up ain't in my dictionary," he replied as they crashed through the window and landed on a rooftop. Logan clenched his fists. He lunged forward, claws extended, aiming to slash through Michelangelo's defenses. But the nimble ninja was quick to evade, cartwheeling out of harm's way. Michelangelo twirled his nunchucks with finesse, creating a whirlwind of strikes that kept Logan on the defensive. The sound of metal clashing against adamantium filled the air as they traded blows, Logan's enhanced senses allowed him to predict Michelangelo's movements to some extent, . Logan's claws grazed Michelangelo's armored shell, leaving shallow cuts, while the mutant felt the sting of the Ronin's weapons piercing his flesh. The pain only fueled Logan's determination, his berserker rage simmering beneath the surface. He lunged forward, catching Michelangelo off guard, and tackled him to the ground. Michelangelo's eyes locked with Logan's, a mixture of exhaustion and respect evident in both of them. "You're tougher than you look, old man," he managed to say between labored breaths. Logan grunted, his grip tightening around Michelangelo's wrists. "Same goes for you, turtle boy," he replied, a hint of admiration in his voice.

“You know, you would have been good in our team.” Michalenago said.

“I don’t exactly work well in teams.”

“You may say that, but I know one when I see one, maybe they’ll let you in.”

“Who’s they?” Logan asked a mixture of angry and confused.

“A family of sorts.”

“I had one. May the best one win.”

“May the best one win.”

Logan tried to claw Michalengo’s shell, but the exterior was too tough and it barely grazed.

Michelangelo got out his Sai’s and stabbed Logan in the chest with it.

“Well, I guess the best one won.” Logan said, grasping on to air.

“The brothers would be proud.”

“One more thing.” Logan said.

“What?”

“Should have aimed for the heart.” Logan ran to Michalengalo and jumped on him, making them both fall off the rooftop.

They both fell to the ground, on the floor. They didn’t seem to be moving until Logan got back up.

“Sorry bub. Guess I’m on my own.”

Analysis[]

Boomstick: Who’s cutting onions in here?

Wiz: Both had quite the skills, and were both pretty evenly matched in combat skills.

Boomstick: But the difference was Logan had one thing mikey didn’t

Wiz: The healing factor, yes it was very diluted, but it was still there.

Boomstick: Like pudding, when am i going to get my pudding? You can never get the staff these days Wiz: Logan’s healing factor brought him more and enough time to take out the last ronin and win the fight

Boomstick: Turns out Logan was the last ron standing.

Wiz: Old man Logan is the winner

Old Man Logan vs The Last Ronin is a What-If? Death Battle written by Cheesypickles564, featuring Old Man Logan from Marvel Comics and The Last Ronin from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Description[]

Marvel vs TMNT. Dead men walking, these two carry on the guilt of their deceased teammates… their deceased family. Will Old Man Logan cut Mikey down or will the Last Ronin get more blood on his hands?

Interlude[]

Puppy: Old Man Logan, the final member of the X-Men.

Kitty: The Last Ronin, the last surviving ninja turtle.

Puppy: With pasts that gnaw away at their sanity and mind alike, these two carry the guilt of their fallen loved ones… but in a time of despair, does one push forward? Does one power through guilt?

Kitty: Well, these two sure as hell did! He’s Puppy and I’m Kitty.

Puppy: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

“Old Man Logan Brings Out His Claws In Death Battle!”[]

(Cue: Theme Of “X-Men”)

LoganPreviewImage

Puppy: In a world much like ours, humans existed, but so did mutants—humans born with X-Genes, which gave them supernatural powers.

Kitty: And when differences exist, so does racism! Humans hated the mutants and attempted to get rid of ‘em, even going to such lengths that they even crucified the mutants…yikes.

Puppy: In response to this, Professor Charles Xavier decided to take in mutants and soon created his School for Gifted Youngsters to train these mutants to harness their X-Genes in ways that would be able to help the humans and show them that they were not too much different from the mutants.

Kitty: But, of course, the riots and the mutant killings were still at large, so Xavier took the most elite mutants and formed—The X-Men!

TheXMenYayyy

Puppy: We aren’t focusing on the X-Men as a whole, but on Wolverine, the incredibly durable mutant member with a sharp personality and even sharper claws…but we are also focusing on an alternate reality of the character…one much more tragic.

(The background music stops)

Kitty: In this universe, a bunch of kill-all-mutants folk broke into Xavier’s school, and Wolverine slaughtered them all, but once he killed the last invader, it was revealed that the attackers were illusions, and in his rampage, Wolverine hadn’t saved the X-Men, but killed ‘em.

Puppy: Taken aback by his mistake, Wolverine turned his back on his life of heroism, adopted the nickname Logan, and started a family in California. His family wasn’t the safest here, though, as they were under the rule of the “Hulk Gang”, a group of the Hulk’s incestuous grandchildren.

Kitty: These not-so-jolly green giants served as Logan and his family’s landlords, demanding payments from them often. The times were tough, however, and Logan couldn’t pay them their dues. However, his white knight was coming… in the form of one last mission.

Puppy: A now-blind Clint Barton, who you may know as Hawkeye, came to Logan and asked for assistance in a job—Clint was transporting a package across the Hulk-controlled territory, and he needed Logan’s help.

Kitty: Old Logan had left his life of adventure behind, but he really, and I mean really needed that money, so he took Clint’s offer, and the two set off to deliver what Logan believed to be drugs to Clint’s client.

Puppy: To take on such a task at such an old age would be difficult for Logan, but he has multiple abilities at the ready if needed.

Kitty: Logan’s incredibly strong for his age! This old dude knows at least 15 martial arts and he’s capable of fighting multiple opponents at once with ease, as proven when he ‘accidentally’ killed his fellow X-Men. But his true strength lies in Adamantium!

Puppy: Adamantium is an indestructible steel alloy that Logan’s skeleton is completely made of. This makes Logan nigh-indestructible as well, and also gives him an impressive healing factor, that allows him to come back from injuries that would kill even the strongest humans.

AdamantiumSkeletonBoy

Kitty: Also going into his nature as “The Wolverine”, Logan also has heightened senses. His sense of smell is incredible to the point that he can identify anyone solely from their scent, and he’s also got superhuman eyesight and hearing.

Puppy: And these really did help Logan through the journey. When he and Clint arrived at the delivery destination, Clint revealed that their package was not explosive nose sugar or Satan’s lung lettuce like Logan had assumed, but Super Soldier Serum, which Clint wanted to use to create an Avengers-like team to bring order to the wasteland.

Kitty: But it was directly after ol’ Hawkeye’s revelation that the clients revealed themselves to be corrupt agents, and they opened fire on the two, killing Hawkeye and badly injuring Logan. Logan, in a rush of adrenaline, killed the agents and took the money back home. But what awaited him was much worse than Clint’s death…

Puppy: In his absence, the Hulk Gang had killed Logan’s family and left them unburied, entirely because they were impatient. This angered Logan so much that he decided to pop out his claws, which he had vowed to never do after the death of the X-Men.

Kitty: Logan’s claws are part of his Adamantium bones, which allow him to literally eject his bones from in between the knuckles on his fists. It sounds like it hurts, but it’s certainly metal as hell! There’s also his Berserker Mode, which is basically when Logan goes absolutely ham on his opponent, leaving nothing left but blood and guts!

Puppy: With the very claws that took the lives of his mutant brothers and sisters all those years ago, Logan clawed through the Hulk Gang, eventually facing off against their leader, THE Hulk, and killing him too.

Kitty: All of this proves that you really don’t want to screw with an X-Man, especially Wolverine! Logan also has plenty of feats that further prove how formidable a fighter he is. He’s really damn strong for a geezer, which is proven when he decapitated Red Skull with his bare hands, tore a cow in half, ripped through steel like paper and killed the X-Men and the Hulk Gang, both of which were incredibly powerful teams.

Puppy: He’s also very fast—he’s been able to dodge gunfire, move faster than eyesight can track and evade Cyclops’ eye-beams, which, mind you, are beams of light!

Kitty: But durability is really where Logan’s power is. His Healing Factor makes sure that no matter how bruised, bloodied or straight-up mutilated he gets in a battle, he’ll always be able to keep going. He’s tanked multiple explosions, tanked hits from the Hulk and Cyclips, being shot multiple times with a mini gun and even being swallowed whole by the Hulk! …this isn’t Marvel, this is just deviantart…

Puppy: But alongside strengths come weaknesses. Logan’s skeleton does enable him to tank some of the deadliest blows, but it can’t heal wounds from decapitation, and his Healing Factor is a lot weaker than it was in his prime.

Kitty: But even then, this man with a calm disposition belying a past of tragedy is certainly someone you don’t want to mess with…especially if you want your limbs to stay intact!

Old Man Logan: “Nature made me a freak. Man made me a weapon. And God made it last too long.”

“The Last Ronin Avenges His Brothers In Death Battle!”[]

(Cue: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Theme Song)

RoninPreviewImage

Puppy: The New York of the future is a horrible place. Crime runs rampant under the rule of Oruko Hiroto, the illegitimate grandson of The Shredder.

Kitty: Oruko used his dangerous leading techniques, impressive technology and a huge army of badass ninjas to take the reins of the city, and it certainly wasn’t for the best.

Puppy: But when someone not fit to rule takes over, a rebellion is sure to come. This rebellion came in the form of The Last Ronin, a mysterious turtle warrior haunted by his past.

Kitty: Turtle warrior? That sounds awfully familiar… let’s turn back the clock and look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the heroes in a half-shell that shaped everyone’s childhood!

Puppy: This fearsome fighting team was created when baby turtles were exposed to radioactive ooze and transformed into humanoids. Under the training of Master Splinter, a highly intelligent rat who knew karate and was also created from the ooze, the four turtles became vigilantes, protecting the streets of New York from crime!

TeenageMutants

Kitty: Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines, Raphael is cool but crude and Michelangelo is a party dude! What went wrong…?

Puppy: After the death of their rival, Shredder, two clans, the Foot and the Hamato created a peace treaty. There would be no more violence between the two.

Kitty: But of course, that didn’t last long…the clans had later ignored these treaties and started a war, which the turtles were forced into. Raph ate it first, rushing headfirst into hordes of ninjas from both clans, and while he mowed them down and heavily damaged their leader, the wounds he received killed him there.

Puppy: Next to meet their end was Leonardo, who, along with the turtles’ close ally Casey Jones, was killed in an ambush by mad scientist Baxter Stockman, who was also working for the Foot.

Kitty: And finally, Donnie and Splinter were killed in a bait-and-switch attack from the Foot, the two being summoned for a peace negotiation—which was all a trap.

Puppy: But what about Michelangelo? What had become of him? Having survived Baxter’s ambush, Michelangelo retreated to Japan, where he hoped to escape the violence that surrounded his now-ruined life. That’s right, The Last Ronin, a mysterious, brooding and taciturn warrior was actually Michelangelo, the immature joker of the Ninja Turtles.

Kitty: Tough… Mikey was haunted by hallucinations of his fallen family and decided that they wouldn’t want him to sit and let Oruko take over the world—they’d want him to avenge their deaths.

Puppy; Taking his family’s old weapons used to fight crime back in their prime, the Ronin swore to rain death upon Oruko and the Foot until his family was avenged.

POV-Onyourwaytosavenewyork

Kitty: Mikey wields not only his iconic nunchucks, but also the weapons of his brothers. He wields Leo’s katana, Raph’s sais and Donnie’s staff, using each one in creative and lethal ways. Alongside his brothers’ weapons, he also carries a pair of Tonfā that, when hit together, create a sonic wave that can stun enemies.

Puppy: He doesn’t only have mastery over weapons, but he knows Ninjitsu as well. Ninjitsu is a martial art used in espionage and guerilla warfare.

Kitty: All of these weapons and skills really come together due to Mikey’s enhanced mutant abilities. He’s stronger, faster and FAR more durable than a normal human, and he has an impressive healing factor which has helped him survive being shot, stabbed or thrown off buildings!

Puppy: With this arsenal of insurmountable weaponry, incredible physiology and indomitable will, the Ronin returned to New York to bring well-deserved justice to Oruko and his clan.

Kitty: Once he returned to New York, however, it was in ruin. What once was the “City That Never Sleeps” was now a desolate, crime-ridden wasteland, ruled by Oruko, who was definitely responsible for the screwed-up state of the city.

Puppy: But even in the worst of times, he had a friend—er, two friends to help him. Enter April O’Neil, a former ally of the Turtles and her sassy teenage daughter, Casey Marie Jones.

Kitty: Mikey became young Casey Marie’s sensei, meaning he’d be able to teach her how to pull off all the cool shit he does—and perform as many feats as he has!

MasterAndStudent

Puppy: In terms of physical prowess, the Ronin is one of the most powerful in his universe. He’s physically stronger than all of the other Turtles, being able to fight foes like Oruko and Baxter Stockman, who they fell to. The Ronin’s durability is also incredibly impressive, too.

Kitty: He’s tanked multiple physical blows from Shredder in the past, and keep in mind, Shredder is a really strong dude, given that he’s capable of throwing an oil tanker! He’s quite the tough turtle.

Puppy: He’s also been shot, stabbed, thrown off of buildings, and in one instance, he survived an explosion that destroyed the same building!

Kitty: Mikey’s also incredibly fast, which shouldn’t come as a surprise, especially when he and the other turtles were jumping across buildings in his past. This turtle’s avoided gunfire, dodged attack from Baxter Stockman, who has the same reflexes and speed as a fly, and has kept up with the Shredder, who can move faster than human eyes can perceive.

Puppy: Him being able to pull off all of this really came in handy in his climactic battle against Oruko, who had a robotic suit of armor—which was no doubt made by Stockman.

Kitty: The two fought on equal footing, but the battle was over once Mikey put Oruko’s suit into overload, causing it to detonate and destroy Oruko, once and for all. Revenge is certainly best served spicy!

Puppy: Having avenged his fallen family, Mikey fell due to his wounds and passed his badass ninja legacy unto his apprentice, Casey Marie.

GuessHeGotShellShocked

Kitty: It really tugs at the heartstrings, eh? While his ninja skills and callous attitude make him a more powerful version of the original Michelangelo, the Ronin’s far from perfect.

Puppy: The Ronin suffers from PTSD (post-traumatic-stress-disorder) and constantly has hallucinations of his dead brothers, distracting him in both his normal life and in the heat of battle.

Kitty: But even with faults, the Ronin is still one of, if not the most badass ninja turtle. Go Mikey!

The Last Ronin: “Man, you guys sure like yapping more than you do listening… and I’m getting sick and tired of having to repeat myself.”

Intermission[]

Puppy: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities. Feel free to vote for who you believe will win in the poll: https://strawpoll.com/wby5ANWNjyA

Kitty: But now! IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLLLLLLLLLLE!!!!

Pre-Fight[]

In the dusk of a rainy, desolate land, a mysterious rider presses on forward, seemingly on a mission—a very important mission.

The man bears an elderly but impressive physique, his muscles being visible even with the jet-black cloak that covers most of his body. A cowboy hat rests atop his head, and despite the momentum of the man’s movement, the hat stays put on his head. This was Old Man Logan.

Logan was riding a white stallion, which pressed on through the intense weather. The horse’s hooves constantly pressed against the muddy ground, spreading grime even further in the stallion’s path.

“Maureen… I’m sorry…” Logan clenched his teeth as he rode through the unyielding rain. “Those Hulk Gang bastards don’t know what’s comin’ to ‘em…”

Logan pulled on the reins and the horse whinnied and halted, taking one last step in the mud.

“And this…” Logan began to speak as he slowly dismounted his horse. “Is were they were last seen—“

His voice halts as he notices the location to be the ruins of a place he once called home, a place he worked tirelessly to forget…

The X-Mansion.

•••

“And that should be the last one.” A reptilian hooded figure states as he plants his bloodsoaked katana into the ground below him, taking a chance to rest.

He was the Last Ronin, and he had tracked the Hulk Gang down after a rumor was given to him that the gang of rowdy hillbillies had relations to his nemesis, Oruko.

Behind the Ronin was a pile of green corpses, each one with their eyes rolled to the backs of their heads and a bloody gash encompassing their entire midsections.

“The rumor was wrong… but they’ve already done enough to their clients…” The Robin speaks to ease the voices in his head. “Don’t think of this as a murder… but as the animals they are being put down.”

“Damn right.” Logan’s gravelly voice states from behind the Ronin, catching the turtle off-guard.

Logan removes his rain-soaked cloak, revealing himself to be a grizzled old man with a callous look on his face.

“They were my kill…” Logan claims, looking at the pile of corpses with disgust. “And you haven’t done them justice.”

“What do you mean?” The Ronin asks in confusion, staring at Logan with his dark eyes under his black hood.

“I would’ve cut their throats, their wrists… destroy them physically and mentally until they’re begging for death… it’s what they deserve for the despair they bring…”

Because of what he’d been through as well, the Ronin doesn’t give Logan a look of fear like most would, instead he gives him a look of anger.

“Don’t talk about despair to me.” The Ronin pulls his bloodsoaked katana from the ground, clenching his teeth. “You say it like you’ve got it worse… and believe me, you don’t.”

Logan sighs, uncrossing his arms and getting into a battle stance. “You’ve got a lot of nerve… challenging me. But I swear…”

Logan stops speaking and stares Ronin down with bloodshot eyes, the lines on his face becoming more pronounced as he begins to grin.

(Cue: Unforgiving Justice - Brandon Yates)

“I won’t be killed here… bub.”

At that very moment, lightning from the intense storm strikes above them, and the Ronin leaps towards Logan, sword in hand!

FIGHT![]

In the blink of an eye, the Ronin swings his blade downward in a violent slash, which Logan’s animalistic reflexes are fast enough for the old man to dodge the blow by skipping backwards.

The Ronin wouldn’t let his adversary get away so easily, however, and the reptilian warrior unleashes two subsequent swings of the sword to the left and the right, which slash at the fabric of Logan’s shirt and tear through it, leaving two bloody gashes.

Logan groans, stumbling backwards. The wounds were minor enough for his healing factor to take care of, and the former X-Man regained his battle stance.

“…you’re certainly durable… but I will not let anyone stand in my way!” The Ronin yells, slashing at Logan one more time with his blade—which the old man catches in his palm, the sharp edge of the sword clawing into his hand.

“Same here!” Logan yells in exertion as he pulls his hand towards him and launches the bloodied sword to the side, effectively disarming the Ronin.

Using his opponent’s vulnerability to his advantage, Logan forces his knee into the Ronin’s ribs, making a sickening cracking noise and pushing the turtle to the ground. As the Ronin raises his head, he sees Logan leap into the air and descend quickly, his elbow smashing into the turtle’s back and breaking the creaky floor, causing the two to fall into a lower level of the ruined mansion.

The Ronin catches himself with one hand, breathing heavily as he firmly holds a smoke bomb at the ready in his other hand. Before Logan could land on top of him, the Ronin threw the smoke bomb to the ground, allowing him to obscure Logan’s vision.

“Where the hell did he go…?” Logan mutters to himself, looking around his now-smokey surroundings for his opponent.

“Right here!” The Ronin yells, leaping into the smoke cloud and forcing his sword into Logan’s shoulder, slicing straight through Logan’s skin and causing blood to spray on the rotting wood near Logan.

“Hnnnghhhh…” Logan groans, as if the wound were a mere scratch to him… but that was untrue, as the Robin grabbed the blade and forced it upward, clawing straight through the upper parts of Logan’s shoulder, the Adamantium bone the only thing keeping the limb together.

“GRAAAH!” Logan roars in agony, as the pain of the blow seeps in. His healing factor managed to patch most of the skin together, but the severity of the blow meant it would take a while to recover.

“I—in case y-you haven’t n-noticed… bub…” Logan mutters in between breaths. “I w-won’t be s-so easily to KILL!”

Logan forces his left foot backwards, kicking the Ronin in the crotch, causing his grip on the sword to loosen.

Logan’s hand grabs a sharpened piece of wood from the ruined walls of the house and snaps it off with his bloodied hand, using it as a makeshift weapon and thrusting it into the Ronin’s knee, cutting through his armor and breaking through the bone, causing the turtle to roar in pain as he falls on one knee.

“Gnnnnghh… Damn you to hell!” The Ronin yells as he dislodges the wood from his knee and throws it to the ground. The Ronin delivers a heavy punch to Logan’s chest, making the old man vulnerable.

The Ronin prepares to deliver a finishing blow to his sword—which he realizes had fallen to the ground. “Shit…” the turtle swears as he quickly draws his bo staff and swings it at Logan, who manages to catch it in his hand, engaging the Ronin in a tug-of-war match for the wooden weapon.

Logan’s impressive strength allows him to yank both the other edge of the staff and his opponent towards him, using the advantage to force the entire weight of his body into one headbutt, which smashes into the Ronin’s face and causes blood to shoot out from his mouth and drip down his chin. The Robin falls to the ground, releasing the bo staff from his hand.

Logan gains full control of the staff, and given his lack of knowledge on how the weapon is used, he decides to just swing it downward on the Ronin, who grabs it before an impact can be made. Splinters from the wooden weapon dig into the Ronin’s hand, causing him to let out a silent groan.

Through the pain, though, the Ronin manages to pull the weapon out of Logan’s grasp and use it to stagger back to his feet. Capitalizing on the splinters he had oh-so-convieniently received, the Ronin forces his fist into Logan’s face with a violent punch, causing the splinters to dig into Logan’s flesh and blood to flow from his mouth.

“I…haven’t felt pain… like this… for a long time…” Logan mutters, wiping blood from his mouth as his opponent leaps towards him. “Bring it on…”

As Logan finishes that statement, the Ronin was already directly in front of Logan. The turtle swings his sword in a rough way, attempting to sever Logan’s head from his body, but the old man swiftly dodges the blow, the blade swinging just above his head, close enough that he could see his own reflection.

As quickly as he dodged this attack, Logan dives foot-first towards the Ronin and attempts to deliver a sharp kick, but the ninja quickly grabs on to the old man’s heels and begins to spin him around windmill-style.

“Let go of me, you fuckin—“ Logan was cut off by the Ronin’s witty response, “You asked for it.” before he was released and launched towards a stone gargoyle on the wall of the mansion, his back smashing into it and reducing the statue to rubble.

Logan’s cowboy hat, which had miraculously stood perched on his head throughout the fight, falls to the ground, landing in the pool of blood and dirt beneath Logan’s feet.

“I’m too old for this shit…” Logan whispers to himself as he sees two of the Ronin’s shurikens bolting towards him. Instinctively grabbing onto the stone gargoyle he had crashed into earlier, he forces all of his strength into breaking a large piece off of the statue and using it to protect himself from both shurikens, each one planting themselves in adjacent sides of the stone.

Logan soon hurls the stone back towards the Ronin in a counterattack, which the ninja easily halts by grabbing the stone before it could make an impact and forcing his knee up into it, causing it to disperse into rubble.

“Parlor tricks…” the Ronin boasts before back flipping into the air and throwing his bo staff at his opponent. “Here’s how a real warrior does it…”

The staff begins to spin helicopter-style as it flies towards Logan, who manages to snatch it out of the air. “I’m no warrior…” Logan grumbles.

“I’m a monster.” The old man declares as he almost effortlessly snaps the wooden staff in half.

“Donnie…” the Ronin laments, seeing the weapon be defaced in front of him. Wielding his next form of attack, his katana, he begins to dash towards Logan at a breakneck pace.

Logan leaps towards the Ronin, holding the sharper end of the destroyed weapon like a spearhead. As quickly as he lands, Logan ducks to avoid an oncoming swing of the katana from the Ronin and twists his arm around, plunging the makeshift spear deep into the turtle’s shell.

The Ronin chuckles, blood oozing from his mouth and nose. “It’ll take a lot more than that…” he begins to speak, grabbing the spear with his hand and pulling it out himself, causing a fountain of blood to spill from the hole in the turtle’s shell.

“To keep me DOWN!” The Ronin yells, swinging the makeshift spear around to strike Logan in his left arm, the weapon piercing the flesh and releasing blood through the wound.

Logan, in his struggles, forces his head back into the Ronin’s face, causing the turtle to stagger backwards and give the old man enough time to deal with the wound. Unceremoniously ripping the shard of wood out of his arm, Logan leaves the wound for his healing factor to treat.

“Why don’t you just… hnnggghh… die here and save us both the senseless slaughter?” Logan asks, his calm disposition now fading, before rushing forward and swinging his fist at the Ronin’s head, in an attempt to merely lop it off with brute force.

The Ronin was far too quick for this to happen, as he moved his head back to evade the blow. Promptly, the turtle warrior forces his head forward and into Logan’s in a prompt multitude of headbutts, fracturing the old man’s skull and causing him to stagger backwards in pain.

Drawing his sword, the Ronin spins the katana in a circle, cutting through the Ronin’s chest and reopening the wound from before. As the Ronin’s blade finishes its ark, blood spills from Logan’s wound and stains his clothes.

“Did you expect me to flinch…?” Logan coldly mumbles, seemingly ignoring the wound and lunging forward, grabbing the Ronin’s shoulders and pushing him into one of the mold-coated walls of the formerly-grand mansion.

With the strength of the seasoned warrior that he is, the Ronin attempts to escape Logan’s grasp on his shoulders, but to no avail.

“Shit.” The Ronin curses as Logan reels his fist back, and soon forces it forward, hitting the Robin with enough force to break through the moldy wall and bring the battle into a new room.

As soon as the dust cleared, Logan’s eyes surveyed the room as his opponent regained his footwork.

“No…”

The room was filled with dusty, cobweb-covered remains of some of the X-Men, each one with multiple fractures and injuries across their skeletons.

“Not here…”

Flashbacks filled Logan’s mind… all he saw was blood… corpses… his teammates… his family… dead.

“No… no…”

His painful laments were halted by the Ronin spinning around to strike again with his katana, the blade barely grazing Logan’s chin as he figured out what was happening.

Bracing himself for more painful memories, Logan decides to shut his eyes and rely on his instincts to carry him through the fight. He picks up the Ronin’s scent and dodges a slash from his katana, bewildered by the effectiveness of his strategy.

Dodging another swift sword strike from the Ronin, Logan begins to fight back, still with his eyes closed. Performing a roundhouse kick, Logan’s leg is grabbed by the turtle, who takes advantage of this and puts the old man into a chokehold, causing his breathing to become slower and heavier.

“So, what the hell’s up with this place?” The Ronin asks, pulling his bicep closer to Logan’s throat and fully restricting his breathing. “You seem to have some memories, huh…”

Logan’s face grows redder as his breathing becomes shallow, and he groans.

“I—k-killed my t-team… here…!” Logan finishes his statement with ferocity, opening his mouth and sinking his teeth into the turtle’s arm, ripping through the flesh and resulting in the turtle releasing him.

“Gahhh!” The Ronin roars in pain, grabbing the wound on his arm in a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding in that area. Opening his eyes once more, Logan stumbles back to his feet and vaults over to the Ronin, dealing a lethal uppercut to the turtle’s face and causing him to spit out blood and a few canine teeth.

Stumbling backwards, the Ronin reaches for another smoke bomb, just as Logan began to approach him to deal another blow. Before the old man’s punch connected, the Ronin crushed the smoke bomb in his hand, releasing fog that filled the room.

“Not again…” Logan grumbles, looking around for even the slightest sign of his opponent’s presence. He was an easy mark, lost in his foggy surroundings as he was, so once he spied a human-like silhouette, he dashed towards it and forced his closed fist into it, clearing the fog around the silhouette and revealing it to be one of the skeletons of Logan’s fallen teammates, and his fist had shattered the skull.

“Fuck!” Logan curses, a look of sheer remorse overtaking his face…which was quickly interrupted by the Ronin, who shoved his katana straight into the old man’s right lung.

“You lost your team… your family…” the Ronin reminds Logan, which causes him to grit his teeth in what was a mix of anger and sadness. “…we’re really cut from the same cloth.”

Logan groans, noticing the amount of blood he had already lost, evident by the stains across his body and clothing. He grabs the blade’s tip, which was sticking from his chest, and pulls it further away from his opponent, fishing the turtle towards him. Logan quickly forces his elbows into the Ronin’s abdomen, causing the Ronin to release the blade.

Grabbing the blade and disconnecting it from his flesh, Logan uses the katana as his own as he delivers a blunt downward slash, which scrapes the plastron of the Ronin’s shell.

Having braced himself for a lot more damage than that, the Ronin sighs in relief as he realizes that the sword hadn’t punctured his shell, and forces his knee into Logan’s chest, sending the old man sprawling across the floor and the sword in his hand flying into the air.

Out of breath, Logan looks up at his opponent with bloodshot eyes, seeing the Ronin draw his sais and plunge them directly into his chest, missing his heart by a mere inch.

“Grhhh…” Logan groans. His body was engineered to take a lot of damage, but the Ronin could certainly dish out a LOT of painful moves.

“Look… behind you…” Logan chuckles with a sadistic smile, blood pouring from his lips.

The Ronin’s katana, which had darted into the air after being release by Logan, was making a speedy descent, eventually planting itself into the Ronin’s head, missing his brain but puncturing his left eye, slicing it clean in half and causing blood to spill out.

“GRAAAAHH! DAMN YOU!” The Ronin yells, falling to his knees and hands, attempting to remove the sword from his head, just so it didn’t do any more damage. Logan escapes his former position of vulnerability and delivers a swift kick to the Ronin’s face, pushing the sword out of his head, but greatly injuring him in turn.

Ruthlessly, Logan grabs the Ronin’s head and begins to lift him in the air with his left arm, looking him straight in his single remaining eye.

“We may be cut from the same cloth… but that gives me more reason to just kill you here, bub…” Logan sighs. “You may not deserve death… but you sure as hell NEED— GRAH!”

Before he can finish his sentence, the Ronin rips one of the sais from Logan’s chest and uses it to deliver a speedy cut to Logan’s left shoulder, which tears straight through the old man’s arm and results in both the skin and muscle to topple off in a mess of gore that releases the Ronin from his grasp. Logan’s Adamantium bone was all that stayed connected to his left shoulder, still staying animate.

“I’m not dying here today… I have more to DO!”

Wielding his metal tonfa, the Ronin brings them both together on the stunned Logan’s face, creating a gigantic shockwave that BLASTED Logan away and destroyed a large chunk of the mansion, bringing the scuffle outside.

Logan barrels backwards, eventually landing on his back in the lawn of the mansion, the rain falling hard on his open wounds. The old man’s eyes slowly open, which notice the Ronin leaping towards him and landing on his knees directly in front of him.

Subjecting his opponent to a rapid flurry of violent punches, the Ronin’s cloak is dripping with rain and blood.

Logan flickers between life and death, one second seeing the gloomy reality and the next a bright light. He closes his eyes, bracing himself for death. Was this the end? Would the Wolverine truly fall here?

But he heard voices.

Voices from his past.

“Logan, get up!”

Logan, seemingly near-death, heard the long-forgotten voices and calls of his fallen comrades, the X-Men.

“My boy, brave through it and fight!”

“C’mon, Logan, you really wouldn’t like to be stuck here with me, huh? Get up!”

Hank and Scott. Oh brother.

“You, my friend, are a mutant — though we all may be fallen, you remain alive to preserve our cause, Wolverine. You must survive.”

Professor X. Why did he have to kill him? It was all his fault, every last part of his wicked, tragic and terrible life—

“Logan… James… please, wake up. Don’t die.”

Maureen.

He heard his beloved wife’s voice, his body, however how close it was to it’s end, her words… everyone’s words…

SHINK!

Would keep him alive.

•••

The Ronin continues his onslaught of punches, his face overtaken by anger at both himself and his opponent.

But Logan was still alive, which had shocked the Ronin. The old man’s body moved, and his hands, one skeletal and one still covered in flesh, moved upward to push the Ronin away from Logan, which allow him to stagger back to his feet.

Logan raises his hands close to his face, and after a groan of exertion, claws made out of Adamantium rise from his hands, cutting through the skin on his unscathed arm and causing blood to spout out. Logan’s angry face reflects off of the metal claws.

“Ready for round two… bub?”

(Cue: Wake The F*** Up, Samurai! - Brian Delgado)

Faster than the Ronin could detect, Logan pounces at the turtle and forces his left hand’s claw into the Ronin’s face, barely missing and grazing and cleaving off the scales on his cheek.

“Huh?” The Ronin gasps, still in complete awe at his opponent’s new transformation. However, his confusion is disrupted by Logan, who takes advantage of missing the blow and swings his left arm to the side, the old man’s claws cutting through the exposed skin on the turtle’s head, blood dripping from the wound. Subsequently, Logan delivers dual sideways swipes to the Ronin’s chest, scraping the turtle’s shell and causing him to stagger backwards.

Wiping the blood from his cheek, the Ronin’s head floods with hallucinations. He was damaged to the point of breaking, both physically and mentally.

“Mikey, hide and think up a strategy.” The Ronin hears Donatello’s voice calmly say in his head as he dodges a blunt claw strike from Logan.

“Block his blows… take him down while he’s vulnerable!” The Ronin hallucinates Leonardo’s voice, a single tear falling down his cheek as he blocks two downward swings of Logan’s claws with his katana.

“Just rush him, Mikey!” Raphael’s long-gone but still recognizable voice echoes throughout the Ronin’s head as the mutant lunges at Logan and attempts to force both of Raphael’s sais into his opponent’s back, but is shaken off and thrown to the ground.

The Ronin lands on his knees, dropping the sais in the muddy ground below. “Get out of my damn head…” the Ronin calmly curses, before looking up at Logan, who in the blink of an eye, swings his claws down at the Ronin, who pushes himself backwards with his feet to barely escape the blow. His black cloak, however, wasn’t as fortunate and Logan’s claws tore it from the mutant’s body, making him look like a cornered animal as he backs up, attempting to find an opening in his opponent’s strategy.

Not attempting to make any conversation because of the gloomy situation, Logan yells as he pounces at the Ronin again, claws out and slobber seeping out of his mouth like a feral beast. His violent and rapid swings of his claws are barely blocked by the Ronin’s sword, who soon fights back by sliding his sword across Logan’s chest in a swift motion, overcoming the healing factor’s progress on the wounds from earlier and ripping further into his chest and barely grazing his ribcage.

“Hnnnggghhh…!” Logan gasps in pain as the blow connects, reopening his chest injury. Stumbling backwards, Logan’s determination keeps him on his feet as he regains his footwork and attempts to swoop the Ronin off of his feet with a roundhouse kick, which the mutant jumps over to dodge. Afterwards, the Ronin swings his katana at Logan in a blinding grey blur, which is quickly blocked by the old man’s claws, releasing a sickening scraping sound.

Powering through the impressive strength of the Ronin’s sword swings, Logan brutally slashes the tendons in the Ronin’s right arm, causing him to drop the sword and lose slight control in his arm.

“Dammit!” The Ronin curses before being kicked in the abdomen by Logan, making him stagger backwards and groan. “An eye for an eye… metal man.”

Before Logan can process what his opponent had said, a lightning-quick slash from the Ronin ends with the mutant standing behind Logan, and in an unceremoniously brutal spectacle, half of the old man’s face slides off, revealing the blood, muscle and everything beneath the skin on his face. Thunder is heard at the very moment this brutal blow is dealt.

“Hmmph…” Logan calmly grunts with a sadistic smile, his healing factor keeping him alive after such a blow.

“How many people have you killed with that blade, warrior?”

The Ronin stares at his heavily scarred opponent, his look of anger devolving into a frown.

“I… don’t know.” He replies, looking at his blood-soaked blade.

“But I can assure you… you will make the cut!” The Ronin breaks the melancholy tone of the conversation and leaps towards Logan, swinging his katana downwards and nearly impaling the old man’s shoulder. Logan had quickly shifted to the side and dodged the blow, before grabbing the Ronin by his leg and throwing him to the ground, the sword slipping out of his grasp.

“I’ve had enough moping to last a lifetime!” Logan yells through blood-soaked, broken teeth as he stomps his foot on the Ronin’s vulnerable shell, slightly cracking it.

Putting more force into his attack, Logan’s foot eventually breaks through the Ronin’s shell and into the mutant’s organs, prompting an agonized yell from the Ronin.

“AGGH!”

The Ronin reaches for his Tonfa, the only weapon he had close to him at the moment, and Logan prepares to dive his claws into the blood-soaked mess inside of the turtle.

Before he can finish the mutant off, Logan’s claws are blocked by the Ronin’s Tonfa, which creates a shockwave after the two hit each other. The shockwave blasts Logan into the air, giving the Ronin enough time to stumble to his feet and throw a few smoke-bombs into the air, each one detonating and coating the old man in smoke.

The powerful force of the shockwave had shattered the Adamantium in Logan’s arm and left him with only his protruding finger bones left to use as claws. He plummets to the ground along with the smoke bombs, scattering dust, smoke and blood across the mud.

The Ronin sighs and assesses his wounds, attempting to stop the bleeding that was covering the majority of his body.

But in an unexpected turn of events, Logan rushes out of the smoke cloud, running on all fours with his claws out!

The Ronin notices this and grabs his Tonfa, repeatedly smashing them together and creating rapid shockwaves that Logan tanks with difficulty.

Once the former X-Man was in close proximity with the Ronin, the hallucinated voices return to the turtle’s head, who clutches his head in anger.

“Mikey, block his— Mikey, fight—Power through—keep up—take him—accept—you are too powerful to—“

But deep within these mixed messages, the Ronin hears a strong plea for Michelangelo’s survival—coming from all of his brothers.

“We’re lean, we’re green, and we’re mean! You’re a ninja turtle, Mikey. Take him down!”

Reopening his eyes with newfound determination, the Ronin blocks a would-be-fatal slash from Logan’s claws and engages the old man in a bladelock.

Both sides are bruised, battered, completely damaged beyond the breaking point of any human.

But Logan powered through, his claws breaking the katana in half and impaling the Ronin’s heart.

“Th—thank— y-you…” the Ronin sighs.

Logan closes his eyes and unleashes a berserk rush towards the Ronin, his claws tearing the turtle’s skin and shell, leaving a bloody trail behind Logan as he moves like a blur, attacking his opponent rapidly.

Logan’s rush finishes near the wreckage of the mansion, the mutant breathing heavily as he looks down upon his former opponent, who was impaled through the abdomen by a large spike of rotting wood that was sticking out of the mansion’s ruins. The Ronin’s body was split down the middle, his organs torn open and blood spilling out of the gash. His limbs were torn and mauled, as was his face. Blood puddled on the floor, and Logan sighs in relief.

“Find peace with your family… warrior.”

KO!

  • Ending Screen A: Logan is seen standing on top of a shoddy grave, the two halves of the Ronin’s sword planted in the grave in the shape of an X.
  • Ending Screen B: Michelangelo wakes up in an illuminated area with blinding lights surrounding him. He sees his three brothers gathered around him. Leonardo sticks his hand out to Michelangelo, and the turtle finally feels… home.

Results[]

Kitty: Woah… I haven’t seen that much blood since I tried a gas-station egg roll! Yuck.

Puppy: This was a very close match. What, with the two rivaling each other in most categories. However, Logan had exactly what he needed to take the Ronin down.

Kitty: The Ronin was definitely faster, being able to dodge laser beams and gunfire… and also the side-fact that he’s a lot younger than Logan.

Puppy: But Logan was a lot stronger, being able to fight toe-to-toe with the Hulk and Red Skull, putting him far above the Ronin in terms of physical strength. Not to mention the amount of battle experience he has over the Ronin.

Kitty: But what really sealed the deal for Logan’s victory was his healing factor, which meant that no matter what damage the Ronin dealt, Logan could survive it, and deal twice as much damage!

Puppy: Logan also had another ace-in-the-hole, in the form of Adamantium. His skeleton and his claws were far too durable for the Ronin to actually get past, meaning that if Logan managed to land a hit in a vital area, the win would go to him.

Kitty: But the Ronin did have a far larger arsenal, meaning he could potentially overwhelm Logan, but that’s still a slight chance because of Logan’s multiple advantages over him.

Puppy: The Ronin was certainly a formidable opponent, but Logan’s superior strength, durability and healing factor meant he would be taking the win home.

Kitty: Any way you slice it, Mikey’s just Lo-gone.

Puppy: The winner is Old Man Logan.
