You were right about one thing, Master. The negotiations were short.

This is where it ought to be, but it isn't. Gravity is pulling all the stars in this area inward to this spot. There should be a star here, but there isn't.
~ Obi-Wan Kenobi to Yoda

You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force... not leave it in darkness!

Obi-Wan Kenobi was born on the planet Stewjon and was brought into the Jedi Order at the age of three, though younglings were supposed to be brought in by six months old. He underwent some training with grandmaster Yoda and was then assigned to Qui-Gon Jinn and became a padawan learner. Qui-Gon taught Obi-Wan in the ways of the force and how to use a Lightsaber. During a mission to the planet Mandalore, Obi-Wan fell in love with a woman named Dutchess Satine though he had to leave her to continue his training.

Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were later sent to negotiate with the Trade Federation to ask them to remove their barriers around the planet of Naboo but it goes very wrong and the Trade Federation sends Battle Droids who take over the planet.
