History[]
Born Trivia Vanille, Neopolitan was Roman Torchwick’s closest associate, often accompanying him on his most important missions. When Team RWBY attempted to stop a train filled with explosives, Neo fought Yang Xiao Long, easily defeating her. As a matter of fact, Neo was only prevented from killing Yang by the timely arrival of Yang’s mother, Raven Branwen.
During the 40th Annual Vytal Festival Tournament, Neo disguised herself and competed as part of a team that also included Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black. Later, Neo rescued Roman from his imprisonment aboard an Atlesian Airship and assisted him in downloading a computer virus into the AK-200 soldiers’ system.
When Ruby Rose arrived on the Airship, Neo defeated Ruby, nearly throwing her off the ship. Before she could finish her off, however, Ruby successfully opened Neo’s parasol, dragging her off the ship and into the Grimm-filled air. Neo was able to survive the fall, but Roman perished during the battle.
Seeking revenge on those who cost Roman his life, Neo tracked down and engaged Cinder Fall in battle, nearly defeating the Maiden in combat before Cinder called a truce. Inviting Neo to join up with the rest of Salem's faction, she would set her sights on Ruby Rose, while also assisting in the fall of Atlas and the theft of the Relic of Knowledge, but would end up being betrayed by the Fall Maiden and sent plummeting into a strange fairy tale, the Ever After, alongside Team RWBY and Jaune Arc. After seemingly getting her revenge against Ruby, Neo lost the will to go on, but after helping Team RWBY and Jaune kill the Curious Cat, Neo made peace with Roman's death and the heroes before allowing herself to be absorbed by the Great Tree, choosing to ascend and become someone new and better than who she was for most of her life.

- Alias: Neopolitan, Neo
- Height: 147 cm | 4'10"

Skills/Abilities[]
- Is extraordinarily skilled in combat, having been trained in the art of infiltration and assassination at Lady Browning's Preparatory Academy For Girls, a covert school which trains some of the most elite female spies and assassins in the world.
- She is extremely observant, able to hear specific conversations in a crowd of talking people from across the room as well as hyperanalyzing the behavior of those around her to use to her advantage.
- Her fighting style is highly evasive, masterfully utilizing her semblance and a style that mixes of Bartitsu, Fencing, and Capoeira and focusing on dodging, deflecting or maneuvering around her opponent's strikes until she has exhausted them, or until she is ready for a counterattack.
- She is highly observant and cunning with her illusions, using them to emotionally manipulate her opponents into hesitating or leaving themselves open to attack, even torturing Ruby with her illusions to the point of driving her to suicide.
- A skilled infiltrator, casually infiltrating an Atlesian airship full of soldiers in order to free Roman, infiltrating a Mistral air base to steal an airship without being detected or noticed by the Kingdom's military or officials, and infiltrating the highly secured Atlas Academy and later escape from it with no one noticing her at all, managing to again hijack and steal an Atlesian Manta in the process.
Aura[]
- Aura is a core ability in RWBY, a manifestation of the soul, a life force that runs through every living creature on Remnant, whether they are a meager shopkeep or a renowned knight. Aura is the manifestation of one's soul in RWBY and can be used for a wide range of abilities. The specific abilities and their strengths differ from individual to individual and are dependent on a number of factors, such as experience, training and innate skill. It is predominantly used for protection from harm, and most people with Aura develop an active application called a Semblance.
- Forcefield Creation: The primary function of Aura, an invisible forcefield used as a defense mechanism to absorb the impact of attacks. For trained users this barrier is passive and coats the entire body, and protects the user from attacks that would normally be lethal. However, this does not make the user invincible as each user has a limited supply of Aura, which can only take damage up to a certain point, and the more damage they take, the more their Aura reserves will deplete.
- Statistics Amplification: Aura grants all wielders a baseline ability of being able to empower themselves with Aura, allowing them to channel Aura into their physical strikes to empower them. In addition, Aura also empowers the wielder's weapons and equipment by using them as conduits for their Aura. Weapon empowerment extends to virtually anything that the wielder picks up to use as a weapon, with trained Aura users being able to even wield food items as martial weapons by extending their Aura into them.
- Regeneration: Aura grants the user a mild healing factor, able to automatically heal minor wounds such as cuts and black eyes.
- Enhanced Senses/Extrasensory Perception: Aura grants the user enhanced senses, allowing them to detect danger in their vicinity, described specifically a sense of being watched without knowing that someone was there. Skilled Aura users are able to enhance this ability, allowing them to detect enemies approaching from a distance and even fight completely blind.
- Non-Physical Interaction: Aura allows users to physically interact with otherwise intangible opponents, such as the Geist and Chill.
- Resistance to Extreme Heat and Cold: Aura protects the wielder from both extreme heat and extreme cold. The limits of heat that Aura is able to protect the user from include, but are not limited to, the heat of fire and being engulfed in flames, the direct heat of steam, the heat of lightning, the heat of plasma, and being fully submerged in lava. The limits of cold that Aura is able to protect the user from include, but are not limited to sub-zero temperatures, allowing them to be encased in ice without being cold, walk through a blizzard in casual clothing with no discomfort, and traverse the kingdom of Atlas, which resides in Remnant's North Pole, without wearing any protective gear. However, as with combat damage, constant exposure to extreme temperatures will deplete one's Aura eventually.
Semblance[]
- Overactive Imagination: Neo's Semblance, which allows her to create physical illusions that can be seen and physically interacted with. These illusions are highly convincing and fully tangible, capable of physically interacting with objects and opponents, blocking projectiles, and shattering like glass when she dispels them or someone breaks them.
- Overactive Imagination is an Evolved Semblance, resulting in both its hyper-versatility compared to other illusion Semblances as well as its extremely low Aura cost, to the point that Neo subconsciously keeps an illusion around herself at all times, treating it as a passive Semblance despite being an active Semblance in function. Even if her Aura is broken and she is rendered unconscious, her semblance will recreate an illusion around her automatically as soon as she has Aura to fuel it.
- Neo frequently uses her Semblance to disguise herself, changing her hair color, eye color, skin tone, and clothing with illusions, up to and including completely transforming into another person, not just altering her own physical appearance. Neo displays that her transformation allows her to even increase and decrease her body mass depending on who she transforms into as seen with her added height upon changing into Nora and her decreased height upon transforming into Oscar Pine.
- Neo can also use her Semblance to create a full body camouflage by creating illusory skin across her entire body that matches background colors of what environment she is standing in, or even make herself completely invisible.
- She possesses the ability to mask an entire Mistral Airship with her semblance to physically resemble an Atlas Manta ship and maintain the facade long enough to fool the Atlas Military and cross the continental border checkpoint into Atlas.
- She can maintain illusions after moving away or having her illusions move away from her up to a known maximum of a city block away.
- In combat she has shown the ability to keep her opponents constantly off balance with her illusions, creates singular or multiple illusory copies of herself or others moving in different directions as distractions while rendering herself invisible, as well as creating illusory obstacles such as walls, buildings, and fissures in the ground. She is able to make complex illusions, such as making a perfect replica of the mansion she lived in as a child.
- Neo has shown a certain level of cunning in order to effectively use her Semblance to impersonate others and take advantage of her opponents emotional attachment to her transformed form despite being mute, as seen when she mimics Nora Valkyrie's facial expressions in order to emotionally attack Ren into giving her an opening to escape.
- After being betrayed by Cinder at the end of Volume 8 and After falling into the Ever After, her Semblance evolved, becoming capable of creating numerous tangible clones of herself or others and even replicate the abilities and weapons of those she copy. She can also grant her clones the ability to speak with the voices of their original selves. People she has shown the ability to make clones of include Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao Long, Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Lie Ren, Oscar Pine, Roman Torchwick, Ozpin, Pyrrha Nikos, Penny Polendina, James Ironwood, Clover Ebi, Leonardo Lionheart, and the Jabberwalker, complete with their weapons, innate abilities, and fighting styles.
- The Jabberwalker clones possess the Jabberwalker's ability to permanently kill a Afteran by eating them, erasing them from the cycle of reincarnation that is Ascension.
Equipment[]
- Hush
- Neo's weapon of choice
- A parasol containing a long, thin blade hidden within the length of the parasol's tube, which can also project the blade's tip from the top end of it.
- The canopy of the parasol is made of an extremely dense, durable fabric that can repel Dust explosions and physical attacks, allowing Neo to use it as a shield or a glider.
- Hush was designed by Roman and Neo in their first years, where the former had the weapon developed by a Mistrali blacksmith named Gunmetal, as a favor owed to him.
- Roman gifted the weapon to his new partner in crime, which was made to resemble Melodic Cudgel, as Neo favors a similar fighting style to Roman.
- The weapon is named in remembrance of a childhood event Neo had, where she used another umbrella to smack her father across the face in order to silence him after she'd gotten in trouble with the authorities and was being scolded.

Faults[]
- Continual damage to her Aura will cause it to decay to the point where she can be left open to more significant damage.
- Aura's durability is cumulative; it will deplete with each attack she takes and can be brought down by characters of similar strength.
- Semblances drain Aura by a small amount and without Aura they cannot be used until the user's Aura is recharged.
- Though in Neo's case her Semblance drains extremely minute levels of Aura, to the point of it functioning as a passive Semblance activated by her subconscious despite being an active Semblance.
