Description[]

King of Fighters VS JoJo's Bizarre Adventure!

Introduction[]

Wiz: Loyalty is a hard thing to come by others and even harder to make inside oneself, but when you do, you will be more durable and steady than a mountain.

Boomstick: Like Mukai of Those From the Past...

Wiz: And Wamuu of the Pillar Men.

Boomstick: He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Mukai[]

Boomstick: You ever just hate humanity? Easy I know, but have you ever hated humanity enough to want to destroy them all and make way for your own cool club of dudes? Then you'd probably be some weird cult-like group of demi-gods.

Wiz: Those From the Past, a group of beings made to serve Saiki, the Western spirit of vengeance and order created by the Earth itself, Gaia, in order to wipe out humanity and return balance to the natural order.

Boomstick: That was the plan until Saiki said, "Hey, what if we just took over everything?" and tried that, too bad they all got their asses handed to them.

Wiz: Using a magical gate, all of Those From the Past would travel to the future in order to drain energy from the mysterious snake God, Orochi, another one of Gaia's creations, so they can become stronger before travelling back in time and beating humanity before they had ample fighters and technology to stand a chance.

Boomstick: Saiki knew he needed someone competent to break Orochi's seal, someone who wouldn't fuck up, so he sent his strongest and most loyal fighter, Mukai.

Background:

  • Name: Mukai
  • Height: 231 cm (7'7")
  • Weight: 168 kg (370 lbs)
  • Species: ???
  • A 6.8 on the SNK Boss Syndrome scale.

Wiz: Standing at over seven and a half feet tall, Mukai is an absolute mountain of a man.

Boomstick: And because he has so much weight to throw around, Mukai doesn't need to use any advanced martial arts skills, he just throws his massive body around to punch you with enough force to cave your skull in. You'd think having literal godly strength whose working to genocide the human race would make him be a massive dickhead to humans.

Wiz: However, Mukai values strength above everything else, well aside from his master Saiki. Mukai is even willing strong humans to survive after Those From the Past take over the world and destroy humanity.

Boomstick: Normally, this would piss Saiki off enough to kill him, however, Mukai does his job so well and is loyal enough that he lets it slide, for the most part.

Abilities:

  • Geokinesis
  • Rock Generation
  • Pillar Generation
  • Petrifying Touch
  • Petrifying Rays
  • Rock Body

Wiz: Just like the rest of the main members of Those From the Past, Mukai has control over a specific element with Mukai having geokinetic abilities.

Boomstick: A.K.A. the ability to control the earth. Mukai can do basic shit like making large rocks in his hand that he can throw at you like the evil kids who stuff rocks in their snowballs.

Wiz: Revealing a little too much of your past there...

Boomstick: Right... Well, Muaki can do other cool stuff with our little dirtball like his Jishou where he does a sweet axe kick before making massive pillars made of stone and making them either drop on your head or shoot out of the ground to break your butt.

Wiz: But Mukai's most dangerous ability is to petrify his opponent instantly. Mukai is able to generate a special type of energy that fossilises anyone it comes in contact with, either by pumping it from his body and directly into their body when he holds them or by unleashing the energy in a massive wave into the area all around Mukai, turning them to stone much like the Gorgon of Greek mythology.

Boomstick: He can also turn himself to stone as a method of defence, because why block a punch when you can make someone break their own hand by punching you.

Feats:

  • Held his own against Team K'.
  • Helped to break Orochi's seal.
  • Effortlessly creates and breaks pillars.

Wiz: All of this immense power made Mukai the ideal fighter for Saiki and Mukai managed to prove this by managing to hold his own against K', Maxima and Whip at the same time, coming away from the battle without even taking a scratch.

Boomstick: And sure, K' looks like the poster child for edgy OCs but he's really strong. So strong that he managed to survive being shot by the Zero Cannon, a satellite laser that destroyed all of South Town with just one shot. You might think this is impressive but basically everyone in the series also survived being shot by it, it is just an average day in Florida for all of them.

Wiz: Since the Zero Cannon was able to wipe out South Town which is based on the real-life city of Miami which would require around five megatons of TNT.

Boomstick: And not only could they survive it, characters like Takuma, who is weaker than K', was able to hit the Zero Cannon's beam before it could hit the Earth.

Wiz: And that's far slower than when Kyo blocked rays of light from the Sun Orochi, with both Kyo and K' being below Mukai, at least at the time of them performing those feats.

Boomstick: So yeah, Mukai's pretty busted but he isn't unstoppable.

Weaknesses:

  • Is honour-bound.
  • Reliess on strength over skill.
  • Was killed by Saiki.

Wiz: While strong, Mukai relies on overpowering an opponent rather than using his skills to win and his admiration for strength means that Mukai always fights fair and gives his opponent a fair chance.

Boomstick: But that wasn't what did Mukai in, that was when he spoke against Saiki once and he just fucking killed, right then and there, because why have loyal minions at the most important part of your plan when you can have a rotting corpse by your feet because you were butthurt.

Wiz: Mukai may have died but he lived on in Saiki's heart.

Boomstick: After he ripped out Mukai's soul, Saiki used it to fuel his transformation before losing and getting erased from history, so you know that sucks.

Wiz: But after the reality-warping entity Verse absorbed all of the souls of the dead and released them upon its death, it's a whole thing, Mukai is likely out there, waiting to find his next worthy challenger.

Wamuu[]

Wiz: Boomstick, what would someone do to achieve perfection? What would someone do to become so great, so unkillable that everyone would fall before them?

Boomstick: Oh, I'd do anything.

Wiz: That's... Whatever... Some insane people would do anything to make sure that they stand on the apex of creation and such was the case of the surviving Pillar Men, Kars, Esidisi...

Boomstick: And their ever loyal friend, Wamuu.

Background:

  • Name: Wamuu
  • Height: 197 cm (6'6")
  • Weight: 115 kg (254 lbs)
  • Species: Pillar Man
  • Joseph's third best friend.

Wiz: Born tens of thousands of years ago, Wamuu was one of the last Pillar Men, a race of immortal super beings, to be born into this world.

Boomstick: And being born so late had its perks. After Kars and Esidisi killed everyone because they didn't want to become godless beings that needed to eat more so they could evolve into even more super-er beings, they adopted and raised Wamuu as the last Pillar Man born.

Wiz: Aside from Santana...

Boomstick: Yeah, but no one cares about him.

Wiz: Right, well. Wamuu was raised to be Kars and Esidisi's loyal servant, fighting alongside them so they could all eventually evolve to the point that they could overcome their race's biggest weakness, the Sun which instantly kills them if they came in contact with its rays.

Boomstick: And boy did he have some of the best teachers around-

Abilities:

  • Pillar Men Physiology
  • Immortality
  • Touch-based Absorption
  • Bodily Manipulation
  • Regeneration
  • Wind Mode
  • Divine Sandstorm
  • Wind Suit
  • Final Mode: Atmospheric Rift

Boomstick: Wamuu is faster, stronger and far more durable than any person can be, from cutting someone in half by bumping into them, surviving a stick of dynamite blowing up in his stomach and even clotheslining pillars, man.

Wiz: All of this is helped by the enhanced body gifted to him when he donned the Stone Mask to evolve him, Wamuu was already immortal but now he had full control over every aspect of his body, from his natural acids which he could to dissolve and absorb anyone he even as much as touches to being able to move and bend his body in ways that would normally break an average person's bones to even being able to use every inch of his flesh, skin, hair and bones like they were limbs.

Boomstick: This lets Wamuu fight even if he's reduced to just being a head and even if that happens, he can just pull his body back together good as new as long as his body isn't completely vapourised. But that's not all, Wamuu, just like Kars and Esidisi, got his own special elemental controlling mode. Kars got light, Esidisi got fire and Wamuu got his special Wind Mode.

Wiz: With his Wind Mode, Wamuu is able to generate special wind from his body and use it in various ways as a lethal weapon. Like his signature Divine Sandstrom where he shoots out small tornados by spinning his arms or using air currents to bend light around his body using his Wind Suit, making him practically invisible and allowing him to survive in direct sunlight.

Boomstick: But the real beauty is in his Atompsheric Rift where Wamuu absorbs all the air around him and fires out a thin air stream that's as sharp as a razor. Sure it basically butcher's in his insides but when you can regenerate from most injuries, major internal bleeding isn't so bad.

Wiz: It was all this and more that allowed Wamuu to be one of the leading figures in the destruction of the Hamon Clans of the world.

Feats:

  • Killed Caesar Zeppeli.
  • Almost Killed Joseph Joestar.
  • Smashed a pillar in two.

Boomstick: He's killed hundreds of Hamon Warriors who literally trained to use the power that is specifically designed to kill him and they've never even hurt his face.

Wiz: Furthermore Wamuu was able to compete with Joseph Joestar who, even before any intense Hamon training was able to dodge a ray of natural light from the Sun itself that was shot through the Red Stone of Aja. Based on how far away Joseph was and how far he jumped before the beam hit where he was standing, Joseph had to have moved at over twice the speed of light.

Boomstick: And that was before his Hamon training which made him stronger and faster. After his training, Joseph became tough enough to be able to survive an exploding plane crashing into the top of a volcano worth 400 tons of TNT.

Weaknesses:

  • Is killed if his brain is destroyed.
  • Is instantly killed in direct sunlight.
  • Was killed by Joseph Joestar.

Wiz: While Wamuu is a practically unstoppable demi-god, he isn't invincible, it is still possible for him to be killed.

Boomstick: Wamuu gets killed instantly by sunlight, so you know, Kars' whole "transcending the Sun with the mask" kinda didn't work. Hell, it turns humans into vampires so it anti-worked.

Wiz: While Wamuu is weak to sunlight and energies on the same wavelength as sunlight, he can still be harmed by other attacks such as explosives and even his own Atmospheric Rift, with even enough damage fully destroying Wamuu's body and if his brain is destroyed from that point, then he can be fully killed.

Boomstick: So you know, you just have to reduce the six and a half feet tall mass of muscle and stone, who can melt you just by touching you, to just a brain and crush it before he can regenerate his body. So you know, not the easiest thing in the world to do.

Wiz: However, it did eventually happen. After thousands of years of combat, Wamuu finally met his end at the hands of Joseph Joestar, however, rather than being angered, Wamuu felt the most at peace before the person who killed him, both Wamuu's ashes and Joseph sharing a silent understanding with each before the end.

Boomstick: Maybe his life's mission wasn't to find a way to live forever, but to find a place to die...

Wiz: How oddly profound, Boomstick...

Boomstick: Way to ruin the moment, Wiz...

Wiz: Oh...

Pre-Fight[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLEEEEE!!!

Fight[]

The scene opens in on a dark ruinous cave, with only dimly lit torches lighting up the cavern and revealing all of the carvings of past events and predictions that littered the walls and the stone statues that stood taller than most men.

Slowly, massive footsteps echoed out, getting closer with every passing moment. Wamuu stepped further and further into the cavern, his eyes drifting over each of the carvings and statues.

Wamuu: "It appears these are the ruins left behind by an ancient clan that was wiped out by others such as myself."

Wamuu commented, noticing all of the carvings that depicted what seemed to be humans being killed by taller and more muscular beings.

Wamuu: "This place may offer a potential alternative to the Red Stone of Aja or something greater to aid our cause..."

Wamuu continued walking down, still searching the area.

From behind Wamuu, one of the statues' hands started to move, a light layer of rock cracking off its fingers. Seconds later, Wamuu stopped moving, clearly having heard something approaching from behind.

Wamuu: "I'd advise you not to step into my shadow, otherwise I'll split your body in two before you could blink."

Wamuu threatened as he turned his head, looking over his shoulder and his gaze matching a massive man who had previously posed as one of the statues.

Mukai: "And I would advise you leave this land, it does not belong to you."

Mukai spoke as he raised his hands, ready to fight. Wamuu turned his head back around and continued walking.

Wamuu: "My mission is to search this area for my masters, if you wish to continue living your meagre life, I suggest you turn back."

Wamuu continued his stride forward before all of a sudden, a pillar shot out of the ground in front of Wamuu who narrowly avoided the attack by stopping his walk and tilting his head to the side.

Mukai: "You will serve as a sacrifice to the great Orochi, as my master decrees."

Mukai said as he stepped forward, all of the tattoos on his body glowing with bright energy as Wamuu turned to face him.

Fight!

Mukai solidified a rock around his arm before he thrust it forward, launching the head-sized rock at Wamuu's face.

With nothing more than a flick of his neck, Wamuu launched a group of small tornados from his headdress, all of the tornados quickly flying towards the rock before shredding it until it was nothing more than dust in the blink of an eye. The tornados continued their path to Mukai who promptly turned his body to stone, letting the tornados pass over him and do nothing more than slightly chip at his rock body.

The seconds the tornados passed, Mukai's eyes shot open as he leapt up above Wamuu and delivered an axe kick. As the massive leg fell towards Wamuu's shoulder, he lifted his arm up and caught Mukai's calf in the palm of his hand, holding Mukai's entire body in the air. In an instant, Mukai felt a burning sensation directly where Wamuu was holding.

Mukai kicked Wamuu directly in the face with his other leg and while it didn't do much besides move Wamuu's head back a bit, it gave Mukai a platform to kick off of to free his other leg from Wamuu's grasp.

As soon as Mukai's feet landed on the floor, he lifted his leg up and slammed it to the ground, making a pillar shoot up from beneath Wamuu's feet, launching him up into the ceiling before crushing him against it. Wamuu's arms and legs visibly tensed up as he brought his hands against the pillar and started to grip it.

Seconds after he grabbed it, Wamuu completely shattered the pillar with his bare hands and began to fall to the floor. Mukai formed another stone in his arm and threw it at Wamuu's torso with no method of moving out of the way, instead Wamuu disformed his body, bending it in a inhuman way and let the rock fly by.

When Wamuu landed, he instantly went to slam his fist directly into Mukai's head intending to decapitate him in a single strike. Before this could happen, Mukai thrust his hand to Wamuu's chest, white energy moving from the centre of his chest through his shoulder and down his arm.

Before Wamuu could even blink, his body had been turned to stone. Mukai pushed Wamuu's fist aside, breaking his arm completely off in the process before he delivered a powerful haymaker to Wamuu's chest, shattering the petrified Wamuu's torso and launching shards big and small of the statue all over the room. Seconds later, the petrification wore off, causing the gore off his body to paint the cavern walls with only Wamuu's limbs and head being recognisable among the blood and chunks of flesh.

Mukai: "Oh great Orochi, I apologise for such an insignificant offering..."

Mukai said as he stepped away, only to see all of the pieces of Wamuu's splattered body start to crawl back to his head with all of the blood pooling around them. Mukai watched as Wamuu's body reformed back to a completely uninjured state.

Wamuu: "I care not for your mission or your God, you will fall by the hands of the great Wamuu!"

Wamuu said as he raised both of his arms into the air while looking at Mukai.

Mukai: "You might be worthy of surviving our onslaught after all... Allow me the privilege of testing your might."

Mukai stated as he raised and brought his leg down again, this time the pillars rained down from the ceiling. Wamuu managed to avoid the first one by running directly towards Mukai, however, the second one fell directly on his head, the impact of which broke both the pillar and the top of Wamuu's skull.

This staggard Wamuu, causing him to avoid the third pillar landing on his skull. Once the pillar landed, Wamuu brought his arm up and clotheslined the pillar, breaking it in two before grabbing the broken top half with both of his hands and holding it over his head.

Wamuu charged at Mukai with the pillar and slammed it down over the top of Mukai's head. Mukai petrified his body to block the attack which shattered the pillar but also broke the layer of petrification that protected his body.

Wamuu: "Your defences have failed, now you shall fall victim to my Divine Sandstorm!"

Wamuu let out a warcry as his arms began to spin rapidly, creating two intense vortexes that shredded into Mukai's body, sending a large amount of blood flying everywhere as Mukai was launched backwards and falling into a heap on the ground, barely managing to pull himself back up to his feet.

Wamuu: "You have done well to survive my Divine Sandstorm, a feat that none other can boast, however, your life is running thin. It's time to end this."

Wamuu said as he charged at Mukai who stood tall and maintained his battle stance until the last moment. As Wamuu went to punch Mukai's stomach, Mukai went to punch Wamuu's head. Their fists clashed against each other's bodies, Wamuu's fist punched into Mukai's already weakened torso, opening a major wound on his body and Mukai's fist almost decapitated Wamuu's head, the only thing keeping it attached was a thin piece of flesh and spine.

The two back away from each other for a moment

Wamuu: "My sight!? What have you done?"

Wamuu was confused as he brought his hand up to his face. Instead of feeling the skin of his face

Wamuu: "My face! When you hit my face, you turned it to stone with just a touch!"

As Wamuu realised what had happened, Mukai leapt into the air, bringing his large arm down upon Wamuu's head.

Wamuu: "However, if you think that could stop me, then you are mistaken."

Wamuu boasted as he made a horn sprout from his head and used it to drill into Mukai's arm, forcing him back with even more blood pouring from a new injury.

Mukai: "It appears you are a worthy fighter, however, this battle cannot end without more blood being shed."

Mukai said as he covered his hand in one solid rock, attempting to halt his bleeding as much as he physically could.

Wamuu: "I admire your tenacity. In honour of your noble spirit, the great Wamuu will send you into the afterlife with a death most fitting."

As Wamuu said this, he began to unleash his ultimate attack. Suction devices sprouted from his skin and started to suck in a large amount of air from the area around the two with it all being forced out of Wamuu's horn as an incredibly thin stream of air.

Mukai saw the air slash at his face and leapt back to avoid losing his head.

He lifted his arm up, ready to throw the small boulder already in his hand, however, in an instant, the air stream cut the rock and Mukai's arm apart, all of the pieces falling to the ground with a wet thud.

Mukai: "Very well, if this battle cannot continue, then I shall declare myself the winner!"

Mukai filled his body with an intense amount of his spiritual energy before launching into the area around him, bathing the entire cavern in a light that petrified everything from the torches to the pools of blood and Wamuu.

As soon as Wamuu's body was frozen, the attack ceased. Mukai, knowing now was his chance, brought his leg up and slammed it down, causing a pillar to shoot out of the ground from below Wamuu's feet and one from the ceiling above Wamuu's head. The two came crashing into each other with Wamuu's stone body trapped in the middle, crushing Wamuu's entire body instantly into nothing more than dust.

His opponent now dead, Mukai walked away, taking a moment to look at his grievous wounds and lopped off limb.

Mukai: "My arm is your prize, take it proudly into the afterlife."

Mukai walked on, blood continuing to pour out of his many open wounds as he fled the scene.

Results[]

K.O.

Boomstick: You live by the pillar and you die by the pillar, man.

Wiz: Boo...

Boomstick: Less chastising and more analysing.

Wiz: Fine... In this fight, both Mukai and Wamuu both had notable advantages over the other. The two likely had similar combat experience and mastery over their respective element that the other had never dealt with before

Boomstick: But Mukai was just too strong for our little pillar dude.

Wiz: While Wamuu could harm Joseph who survived an explosion worth 400 tons of TNT, Mukai could harm those that could survive a blast worth 5 megatons, over ten times

Boomstick: Sure, Wamuu was faster but that speed couldn't really help him win, just stall.

Wiz: So that raises the last question, could Mukai kill Wamuu? While Pillar Men have impressive regeneration, they still need a mostly functioning brain to survive, this is best shown with Esidisi and Wamuu himself and even some vampires like DIO who use a similar regeneration.

Boomstick: And since Mukai could just turn Wamuu to stone at any point with his weird petrifying lasers energy thing, he could always give himself an opening and grind Wamuu's brain to mush whenever he wanted.

Wiz: While Wamuu was a fierce warrior who would never give many the chance to win, Mukai's impressive strength and unique ability gave him the perfect window to win.

Boomstick Looks like Wamuu got stoned.

Wiz: Boo, another bad pun.

Boomstick: Ah, can it you!

Wiz: The winner is Mukai.

DB Winner Mukai

Winner: Mukai:

  • + Far stronger
  • + Petrification
  • - Slower

Loser: Wamuu:

  • + Faster
  • + Regeneration
  • - Weaker

Next Time on Death Battle...[]

Lucina: "I challenge my fate!"

Petta: "For the sake of my father, and my own future existence... I shall defeat you."

Lucina VS Petta!

Lucina VS Petta

Trivia[]

Connections:

  • Both are tall, overly muscular men.
  • Both have the ability to turn themselves to stone.
  • Both are the loyal right-hand minions to the arc's main villain (Saiki and Kars).
  • Both are notable for being honourable in a fight against those they view as weaker creatures.

Original Track[]

The track for this fight would be called "Mountains of Muscle". The name is based on how both Mukai and Wamuu are associated with rocks with their ability to transform into stone and their sheer size and muscle mass.

Q&A[]

Does Mukai really have the ability to kill Wamuu?

  • Yes, JoJo vampires and Pillar Men are shown to be killed if their head is fully destroyed and Mukai's petrification would allow him to grind and smash Wamuu's head down enough to kill him.

If Mukai couldn't kill Wamuu, how would the results change?

  • Then it would just be a tie due to the massive stat difference.

Can petrification even work on Wamuu?

  • While Wamuu can turn to stone, he hasn't shown any resistance to petrification.

Would you want to see these characters fight in an actual crossover?

  • Yes but that would be absurdly unlikely.

How likely do you think this will become an actual Death Battle?

  • I doubt Wamuu would get an episode, let alone Mukai, so no.
