Ms. Frizzle VS Neil deGrasse Tyson is a What-If Death Battle written by DiAma1.
Note that this battle is using Dr. Tyson as the character from the show Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, and NOT as the real person. Only feats and abilities from the show will be used.
Interlude[]
Wiz: Science, the best subject there is. Everyone needs to learn it, but what happens when you give science educators magical ships with god-like powers?
Boomstick: Like Ms. Frizzle, pilot of the Magic School Bus.
Wiz: And Neil deGrasse Tyson, pilot of the Ship of the Imagination.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skill to find out who would win in a Death Battle!
Ms. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus[]
Wiz: Walkerfield Elementary School may seem like any other school, but the third grade class of Ms. Valerie Frizzle holds a magical secret. Ms. Frizzle and he pet lizard, Liz, are able to control a Magic School Bus capable of traveling through space and time and manipulating the fabric of reality to teach the students about the universe.
Boomstick: Yeah, this show gets kinda crazy, for a kids' show. I'm not entirely sure how Ms. Frizzle still has a teaching license considering how often she endangers the lives of her students, but whatever.
Wiz: The Magic School Bus is like a TARDIS on steroids. It can transform into nearly anything, and also transform its occupants into anything. For example, it can shift size, ranging from 0.1 nanometers to the size of a star with ease. It can become any animal, any vehicle, inanimate objects, and even particles of water and light.
Boomstick: It can travel extremely fast too! It flew from Earth to Pluto in under 20 minutes, which would be roughly 230 million miles per hour. But that's not its limit; it traveled from Earth to several stars in a few minutes, which would make it several hundred times the speed of light!
Wiz: It's not just fast, it's also durable! It can survive colliding tectonic plates, shrug off stomach acid, withstand the pressure of the bottom of the ocean, and even tank an exploding supernova! This kind of explosion can destroy solar systems and create black holes! That's the strength of two decellion nuclear bombs. That's 30 zeroes!
Boomstick: Let's not forget about strength too. It can use giant mechanical hands to manipulate objects. It once used these hands to crush together the leftover material of a supernova into a new star! For a star to be born, it needs to have a gravitational force 75 times that of the planet Jupiter, and the Magic School Bus could squeeze that hard with its hands!
Wiz: Did we mention that it can travel through time? It once went back in time to the time of the dinosaurs. This would require it to bend the fabric of reality, like a wormhole.
Boomstick: Let's talk about the elephant in the room though. Ms. Frizzle is... well... batshit insane. She hasn't ever fought, but it's safe to say that if she did, her strategies would be equally as wacky as she is. She's unpredictable and can't be stopped.
Wiz: The Magic School Bus might seem innocuous, but it's one of the most powerful ships in science fiction.
Dr. Tyson and the Ship of the Imagination[]
Wiz: If you could do absolutely anything, limited only by the power of your own imagination, what would you do?
Boomstick: For Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, that answer is simple: explore the cosmos to find the secrets of the universe.
Wiz: Lucky for him, he owns just the tool for the job: the Ship of the Imagination. This spaceship is unbound by the shackles of time and space, and can do literally anything!
Boomstick: Firstly, it can manipulate its size, being able to shrink to the molecular scale to observe DNA and growing large enough to observe the cosmos in its entirety.
Wiz: As it's unlimited by reality, it exists outside of the confines of space itself. This means that it is literally unbound in its speed, and can travel at any speed that can be imagined. It can exist anywhere in the universe at any time.
Boomstick: It caused the sun to turn into a red giant by inducing nuclear fusion at a rate exceeding the sun's gravity, which is incredibly powerful.
Wiz: On the topic of power, it could survive the extreme depths of the lakes of Titan, and could resist the pull of a black hole. That's not all though; it withstood the entire big bang that created the universe and was fine! That's right, it took a universe-sized explosion like it was nothing.
Boomstick: It's not just strong physically though; it has extreme reality-warping abilities. It exists outside of the concept of space, and was able to be present just before the big bang. That means it existed before anything existed! It can also manipulate time to such an extent that it transformed the entire age of the universe into a single observable calendar year. It turned billions of years into just one!
Wiz: It's able to do this because it isn't bound by reality, but by the imagination of Dr. Tyson. As we know, the human brain is nearly limitless in its potential. Dr. Tyson in particular is an incredibly smart individual, being a critical thinker and a scientist.
Boomstick: The Ship of the Imagination is so powerful that it isn't bound by reality at all!
Wiz: It ignores conventional laws of physics and can exist anywhere and at any time in the universe, or even none at all!
Boomstick: Nothing can stand in the way of a genius scientist with the power of imagination in the palm of his hand. You better think twice before messing with Neil deGrasse Tyson and the Ship of the Imagination!
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities!
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
Death Battle[]
A silver bullet-shaped ship glided across the universe, exploring the cosmos hundreds of times the speed of light. This was the Ship of the Imagination, and in its cockpit stood the pilot: Neil deGrasse Tyson. He was searching for an anomaly in spacetime that he had detected in his spaceship.
Suddenly, a yellow school bus zoomed past the ship. In the ship sat Ms. Frizzle and her lizard, Liz. Her students were in the seats behind her. This was the famous Magic School Bus.
Dr. Tyson knew that this was out of the ordinary. He thought to himself that this bus must have been what caused the rift in spacetime. He began to chase the bus, and pulled a planet out of orbit from a nearby star with his ship. The planet flew towards the school bus, but it quickly turned around and grew a pair of arms with which it punched the gas giant away.
The school bus retaliated by transforming into a jet and flying directly at the spaceship. It slammed into it, sending the ship spinning backwards. It followed up the attack by opening its mouth and shooting out a lightspeed rocket, but the ship teleported out of the way. The rocket hit a nearby star and exploded, destroying the solar system.
As the ship reappeared, however, the Magic School Bus grabbed it with its arms, and they began to shift through the fabric of time. They reappeared on earth during the Cretaceous period. The School Bus threw the Ship of the Imagination onto the ground, and a giant sauropod dinosaur walked directly on top of it. When it lifted its foot, however, the ship was seemingly gone. It had shrunk down and entered the dinosaur's DNA. It began to manipulate the dinosaur from the inside, causing it to attack the school bus.
The sauropod charged and rammed the bus, knocking it back into a tree, but the bus transformed into a giant Tyrannosaurus and bit into the sauropod's neck. It quickly ripped its head off with ease. Out from the head wound flew the Ship of the Imagination, and it shot into space and began growing in size rapidly. It quickly overshadowed the earth, and the earth began being sucked towards it because of its gravitational pull.
The Magic School Bus returned to its original form and grew in size as well, grabbing the earth and slamming it right into the ship. The continents shattered and water flew everywhere, but the ship turned the debris into stardust which it blasted at the now star-sized bus. The bus dodged the attack, and responded by uppercutting the ship with its fist.
The strike was strong enough to send shockwaves across the universe, and the ship blasted back at hundreds of times the speed of light. As it ripped across the universe, it began to tear apart the fabric of reality. A super massive black hole appeared, and sucked both the ship and the bus into it. Inside of the black hole, the two vehicles exchanged blows, with the bus punching repeatedly and the ship summoning stars and blasting them towards its foe.
Suddenly, the Ship of the Imagination teleported out of the black hole. It summoned two galaxies and slammed them together onto the black hole, unleashing the power of billions of stars onto the Magic School Bus. It then pulled the bus out of the black hole. Neil deGrasse Tyson looked through his cockpit and saw Ms. Frizzle. They stared at each other intensely. The Magic School Bus punched the ship once again, but the ship stood firm in space.
The bus began slamming into the ship repeatedly, growing larger and larger. It grabbed a star and slammed it directly onto the ship, but the ship didn't take any damage. Suddenly, the ship began to grow larger than the bus. It grew so large that it grew beyond the observable universe. Neil deGrasse Tyson clenched his fist, and the universe shrunk to the size of an atom. It then began to expand rapidly, creating a new big bang. The bus was blasted apart atom by atom, but the ship survived. Out of the ashes of the old universe, a new one was created, and the Magic School Bus no longer existed.

Results[]
Wiz: While this matchup seemed close at first, the difference in power between the two vehicles quickly became apparent.
Boomstick: Yeah, while the Magic School Bus could survive exploding stars, the Ship of the Imagination could survive an exploding universe, which is infinitely more powerful.
Wiz: Not to mention the difference in speed. Sure, the school bus could travel faster than light, but the spaceship was unbound by time itself. It literally had infinite and unlimited speed.
Boomstick: Finally, the school bus never showed any kind of reality warping powers similar to what the Ship of the Imagination could pull off. The ship could reshape all of time into a single year, making it able to basically warp reality on a universal scale. Meanwhile, the bus had nothing that could compare. We have to remember that the ship is limited only by imagination, while the school bus is seemingly bound by some semblance of scientific plausibility.
Wiz: In the end, Tyson's ship had the speed, power, and reality-warping skills necessary to take the win.
Boomstick: Ms. Frizzle spaced out at the end there.
Wiz: The winner is Neil deGrasse Tyson and his Ship of the Imagination.
