Mordecai vs Twilight Sparkle is BeautifulDuwanged's Season 1 Finale, starring Mordecai from Regular Show, and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony.

Regular Show vs My Little Pony! These two anthropomorphic animals are shown to be quite intelligent, with many of their friends by their side, they're seen as one of the smarter characters in their groups, alongside the most serious. Will Twilight Sparkle be able to cast her way to victory, or will Mordecai bring Twilight to her Death Kwon Do-om?

Interlude[]

Que: Thunderstorm

ROB: Magic has been an element that's been used throughout fiction as a way of combat, and there are many examples of it. Characters such as Harry Potter, Ness, Doctor Strange, and numerous others are prime examples of this.

Game and Watch: Obviously! But, there's even characters who'll do the exact opposite, just with their fists, such as Mordecai, the blue-bird simp, from Regular Show.

ROB: ...And Twilight Sparkle, the magical alicorn from My Little Pony.

Mordecai[]

ROB: In the universe of Regular Show, there exists a regular park, with... nearly nothing special, outside of their far more unusual workers.

Que: Party Tonight (Instrumental)

Game and Watch: Yeah! Like Mordecai, a blue-jay who works there. He's just like every other nerd, sitting on a couch all day, and getting yelled at by his boss. Surprised he hasn't been fired yet...

ROB: Regardless, Mordecai grew up alongside his friend Rigby, and have gone on multiple misadventures with him. Through this, not only has Mordecai matured, but it also granted him many things in them.

Game and Watch: Obviously, not only is Mordecai pretty strong himself, but he's got many abilities and powers from his many episodes!

ROB: He's, most notably, able to use Death Kwon Do, a deadly martial arts he can casually mimic from the sight of it's technique, with moves such as the Death Block, an extremely defensive move that allows Mordecai to block even the strongest of attacks, and the Death Punch of Death, which is, as the name implies, a strong move that can cause large craters and nearly destroyed the park.

5635886-1153434774-56358

Game and Watch: Well, of course! The Death Punch of Death can even knock around other Death Kwon Do artists, presumably one-shotting them, and they're capable of causing large cracks in the ground, along with vaporizing eachother with their attacks!

5635869-1188145255-56358

Game and Watch: And, of course, he's even able to fly around the entire town with the use of the Death Jump, which, of course, is an extremely impressive speed feat in itself.

5638415-3224543453-14839

ROB: Of course, along with the Death Kwon Do, Mordecai has access to basketball powers, though, he admittedly only used them once. It allows him to not only travel in space, but allows him to have an aura. He even caused an explosion after getting a slam dunk.

Tumblr mlkg51K5X21rfbbc6o5 400

Game and Watch: Yeah, and he's even done impressive feats on his own, like tackling the Death Bear into a wall and destroying it! The Death Bear themself was even able to destroy a door and overpowered Margeret and co.

ROB: While he was overpowered by it, keep in mind that Mordecai was practically caught off-guard from it bursting through the wall, so there's no reason he wouldn't scale to this feat.

Game and Watch: Finally, Mordecai has access to the Fists of Justice, weapons also used by Skips, which are naturally superior to Death Kwon Do, obviously. With one of it's punches, it launched Klorgbane into space! By clashing both of them together, they can also be launched like a rocket, which I find to be pretty awesome!

ROB: Despite his... high strength, Mordecai has some weaknesses. He's usually depicted as lazy, and a simp, though he's redeemed this with himself.

Game and Watch: No matter what, Mordecai is an extremely potent fighter, and he'll basically stop at nothing to help his friends.

Mordecai and Rigby: Oohhhh!

Twilight Sparkle[]

ROB: Throughout history of Equestria, one force had existed within it. Friendship. While this wasn't understood by some of it's greatest wizards, it would turn out that there would be one, of similar power, at least.

Que: Welcome to the Show (Instrumental)

Game and Watch: Yeah! Her name was Twilight Sparkle, and to be more precise, she's a unicorn! Cool, right?

ROB: Well, yes. Twilight Sparkle was an intelligent unicorn, who was learning about the magic that she could use, under the guide of Princess Celestia. This allowed Twilight, who's a massive bookworm, to access nearly every book, meaning she was practically self-taught about many of the spells she learned as she grew older.

Game and Watch: Not only that, but Twilight has learned many types of magic she's able to use! She can lift objects with her telekinesis, create large forcefields, which are able to nullify the effects of reality warping, even! Along with that, she can generate heat, and summon a large aura around herself.

ROB: Well, yes. While that's useful, Twilight's even capable of using dark magic, which, keep in mind, is a magic that apparently many villains in the universe use, and something that she was able to do just from viewing Celestia do the same.

Game and Watch: Hell yeah! And with such skill, Celestia decided to turn her into an Alicorn! Which is... basically just a fusion of both a unicorn, and pegasus.

649d8b3eaa437bf0580bc96451abc77ea33bd318r1-400-225 hq

ROB: Yes, and with this transformation, it allowed Twilight to not only fly, but granted her more magic abilities, such as being able to fire electricity, create crystals, and even seal abilities away from ponies. She can also cause plants to grow, and fire energy from her horn.

Game and Watch: In this form, Twilight's power was able to match the Pony of Shadows, albeit overpowered by him slightly, and was even compared to Starswirl the Bearded, who's stated to be the greatest magician in Equestria! Furthermore, not only is she able to move into fictional stories, such as books and chalkboard drawings, but even bring herself to other dimensions.

ROB: Additionally, Twilight was capable of moving the sun and moon at the same time, which is an extremely impressive feat, in terms of power. She was even able to fight Tirek, and overpowered him in some cases!

Game and Watch: Pretty epic! Anyways, Tirek's own power was not only able to defeat the Pillars of Equestria, but he outright absorbed their powers, including characters such as Mistmane, and Star Swirl, who were already known to be legendary wizards!

ROB: That IS true. Alongside this, Twilight has fought with characters who's she's viewed as her equal, such as Starlight Glimmer, a pony who, even though she wasn't an alicorn, has shown to be an extremely skilled magic user in her own right.

Game and Watch: Well, yeah! And Twilight has a special power, called... The power of friendship! Yeah, you heard me right. Friendship.

Ezgif-3-e8639e79de8c

ROB: Within this form, Twilight can create a large aura around herself, and her friends, in order to seal, or weaken her opponents, alongside the other elements of harmony. It can purify dark magic, negate mind-manipulating effects, and, at least in Equestria Girls, she can create a large horse projection that was capable of destroying the Dazzling's siren projections, and their magical crystals.

Game and Watch: With this in mind, Twilight's an extremely proficent alicorn... In terms of power. She does have a few weaknesses, though!

ROB: Yeah... She's an overly obsessive bookworm, and this is shown many times. More importantly, her magic will draw from her stamina and lifeforce, so with extended use of it, it would naturally weaken her, though there's not much times where this will happen.

Game and Watch: Even with this in mind, Twilight Sparkle is also only able to access the elements of harmony, with help, but she is technically able to access her Pony-up transformation... In Equestria Girls... And playing music... Anyways, you really shouldn't underestimate Twilight's magic!

Twilight Sparkle: You're wrong Tirek! I may have given you my Alicorn magic, but I carry within me the most powerful magic of all! The magic of friendship!

Tirek screams out as the magic weakens him, overtime, and seals him inside of a cage.

Pre-Fight[]

Que: My Little Pony Theme (Instrumental)

It was a sunny day in Equestria, where everypony was peacefully walking around, all minding there own business. The camera pans and zooms toward a tree that houses Twilight Sparkle, who was reading a paper through the use of her telekinesis alongside her friend, Spike.

"Let's see... There was this teleportation spell that Celestia had wanted me to learn, Spike, but it seems... fairly complicated."

Twilight muttered, reading through the parchment she was sent. But, as she continued reading, it became a bit more simpler, now that she understood how the spell work. Closing her eyes, an aura surrounded the alicorn's horn, as it lifted the paper into the air. It began to glow purple, but suddenly, energy was fired from the paper and towards the floor. This caused a small portal to have summoned, and air blew each book and paper away from it's location.

Suddenly, Twilight and her dragon were pulled into the portal, causing them to have been knocked out as they were teleported elsewhere from Ponyville.

The sun began to set in the park, where the camera zooms into a window. Mordecai and Rigby sitting inside of the house was, playing video games.

"HA! I got you, finally!"

The raccoon cheered, jumping up from his seat and beginning to dance. While this was one of the few times Rigby won, he acted like this was something that would never happen, something Mordecai slightly disliked. Rolling his eyes, he got up, and walked towards the kitchen. Mumbling something, he opened the fridge, but it seemed as if there was a portal. Suddenly, an alicorn and reptillian animal were sent through it, crashing them, alongside Mordecai into the wall of the kitchen, causing the house to shake. This, of course, woke up apparently everyone in the building.

"Ugh... What the- hell?"

Mordecai asked, looking down to the alicorn. Seeing the horn, he screamed, jumping up and moving away from it. It began to get up, which caused the blue-jay to step back, and turning around the corner, he picked up a bat. Rigby would walk over, looking towards the mess that Mordecai was getting himself in, before looking towards the alicorn and dragon.

"You're... scared of that?"

Rigby joked, looking up to Mordecai, but before he could spit another joke, Mordecai casually punched him in the shoulder, causing him to let out an "ow" in response.

"Who are you?"

Mordecai asked the alicorn, who shook her head, causing him to jump back a bit. Mordecai had a fear of unicorns, and, well, alicorns were technically unicorns, hence his fear. Shaking his head, he turned back to look at her.

"Well, I just failed a teleportation spell, and-"

Suddenly, a gumball machine began stomping downstairs, clearly angered by the noise his workers were making, alongside the other voice he was unaware of. This caused the alicorn to stop talking as she looked over.

"MORDECAI AND RIGBY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"Uh, nothing Benson, w- we were-"

Mordecai stuttered a bit, looking towards his boss, but was immediately interrupted.

"WHY IS THERE A UNICORN IN HERE!? GET RID OF IT, OR YOU'RE FIRED!"

The blue-jay let out a sigh. Waiting for Benson to stomp back upstairs, he turned back to the alicorn. Raising his bat and resting it on his shoulder, he looked towards the alicorn, shaking his head. Twilight immediately got the idea that Mordecai was showing, though, it wasn't exactly what she thought, and lowered her head, causing her horn to glow.

FIGHT![]

Que: His World

Suddenly, a blast of magic was fired at Mordecai, who attempted to sidestep, but was launched into the couch next to him, causing it to flip over. This would also launch Rigby, who was nearby, out of the window.

"Spike, can you deal with the racoon?"

"Oh, sure Twilight!"

The dragon responded, his wings sprouting as he flew out of the window. Immediately, Twilight hopped over, and fired a few more projectiles at the couch, but as it was vaporized, Mordecai slammed his bat into Twilight's head, proceeding to repeatedly punch and beat on her. As she was harmed by the attacks, her horn charged, and a large forcefield erupted from the alicorn, launching Mordecai away from her.

Mordecai was thrown into the staircase again, but he'd grab onto the railing, holding it like a weapon. In return, Twilight fired a blast of magic, but Mordecai was able to swing the railing, launching the attack away, before hitting Twilight with it. This caused Twilight to grab it with her telekinesis, and in return, began hitting Mordecai with it instead.

"Hngh..."

Mordecai groaned slightly, but gripped onto the railing. Throwing it to the side, he tackled Twilight, grabbing her by her mane. Swinging her around, he threw the alicorn into the TV, causing her to smash right through it, alongside the walls of the house. Twilight would land on her hooves, and her wings had spread open, as she began flying around the house. This granted Mordecai enough time to scavenge through the drawers in the kitchen.

Moving back to Twilight, her horn began charging energy as she flew around, waiting for the blue-jay to exit, but suddenly, they had somehow flew up above. With golden fists in his hands, he began punching around Twilight, knocking her around with ease. This caught her off-guard, and her magical projectile was fired elsewhere, causing a large explosion behind her, shaking the entire park.

Hopping back, Mordecai collided both of the fists together behind him, slamming into Twilight with a shoulder-bash, before realing one of the fists back, but Twilight would tap the fists. This caused the thruster to activate once more, launching Mordecai upwards into the air. Twlight proceeded to quickly teleport, and fired a beam downwards at Mordecai, causing him to be struck and slammed into the ground. Flying back down, she landed on her hooves, shaking her head.

"That was unneccessary..."

But, as Twilight was talking, the blue-jay erupted into a flame. As she watched, suddenly, he was now wearing torn jeans, alongside messy hairy. This was known as Death Kwon Do, and this also meant that he was taking this very seriously now. Before Twilight could attack, though, he delivered a kick to her, launching Twilight into the air. He then proceeded to repeatedly beat on the alicorn, causing a large yellow shockwave with each punch, and this was injuring Twilight far more than she liked.

Closing her eyes, a yellow crown instantly appeared on her head, and with a burst of energy, a purple beam fired at Mordecai, launching him away.

"I won't let you!"

Twilight spoke, charging another projectile as she stared at the bird.

"Fine! I'll just have to kill you!"

Mordecai responded, and reeled back his fist. Suddenly, the golden gauntlets appeared on his hand, and he rushed forward. Attempting to barrage Twilight with a flurry of punches and kicks, she teleported behind him, and the magical beam was fired at his back, flinging him across the park, allowing Twilight to land on the ground for a small break.

Suddenly, the bird appeared again in the sky, holding a red keyboard. While he was injured, all he was doing was playing with the keyboard, allowing Twilight to aim a beam of magic at him. But, the bird began making inaudible chanting, whilst the music had been playing, and suddenly, Twilight wasn't able to see.

She was instantly sent to the Moon, through whatever ability that bird had, but using her magic, she was able to protect herself from the cold, and allow her to breathe. Sighing, she closed her eyes, and her horn began to glow. Suddenly, the entire moon began to shift, and she was pulling it back to the Earth!

Back on Earth, Mordecai landed on the ground, still holding the keyboard. "Oohhhh!" He had made his catchphrase, placing the keyboard on the ground. There was no way that the alicorn was coming back from the Moon, but suddenly, he had heard a crack.

CRACK!

Looking back, large chunks of the moon were somehow being launched towards him! This wasn't what he was prepared for and began running away, and jumped under a tree. Taking out his phone, he began dialing a number.

"Answer... Answer, c'mon..."

CRASH!

Suddenly, a chunk of the moon landed on the house, causing the entire area to shake around him, making him drop the phone.

"NO!!"

Mordecai screamed, seeing the sight of his closest friends being simply crushed, and would proceed to hear a whoosh from behind him. Sighing, he looked back, seeing as it was the alicorn.

"I won't let you kill me!"

Mordecai spoke, raising his wings like fists. But, a yellow aura had been surrounding him. The basketball god actually listened to his prayer! The familiar outfit would be worn on him, and suddenly, he grabbed Twilight by her mane, throwing her towards one of the chunks of the moon, Reeling his fist back, he punched the alicorn right through it, causing it to shatter under the force.

Twilight groaned, but as a safety plan, an aura surrounded her, as she stared at Mordecai.

"Ha! You can't beat the power of basketball!"

Mordecai spoke proudly, raising his fists to attempt a barrage on the alicorn.

"But I have something you don't have..."

She spoke, and suddenly, her horn was surrounded in dark magic. This allowed her to fire it at Mordecai, and crystals went through his body, causing him to scream in pain.

"THE ELEMENT OF MAGIC!"

Twilight immediately slammed into Mordecai, making his fall into the ground quicker, and before he was able to say a word, Twilight fired another energy projectile, decapitating the blue-jay, and he'd fall to the ground, his lifeless body landing with a crack, being bloodied, and beaten.

K-O![]

Twilight flew down to the ground, landing in front of Mordecai's body. She was exhausted, and shaking the crown off her head, she landed on her side, too tired from how much magic she used against him, and too tired to even stand now.

Alternate Ending[]

Before Twilight was able to fire this beam of dark magic, Mordecai was able to fly upwards and out of the way. Even as Twilight attempted to loosely track him with the beam, she was blocked by the chunk of the moon, caused her to crystallize it instead. Using this as an advantage, Mordecai delived a punch to it, causing Twilight to be launched down by it.

"THE ELEMENT OF M- H-Huh?!"

"I don't care what kind of element you are! This is over!"

Mordecai yelled, out of his anger, and began barraging the chunk, causing the crystals to impale and stab into Twilight, before he grabbed it, and threw it into the ground, causing a large explosion and shockwave in the resulting area.

As the explosion cleared up, Mordecai landed on the ground, looking to the crater he made. Kicking the rocks aside, there was nearly nothing left of Twilight's body, but her crown, which Mordecai picked up.

"That's... for killing everyone..."

Mordecai began panting, slamming the crown to the ground in anger, causing it to shatter.

"No more..."

He spoke again, before callapsing to his knees, and falling unconscious, far too exhausted from how much power he exerted.

Post-Analysis[]

Game and Watch: Holy shit, that was brutal!

ROB: Of course it was. But please, trust me, there's a reason for it.

Game and Watch: Well, yeah! Twilight here naturally had far better stats, considering Mordecai's best feats, at most, were from breaking walls, whereas Twilight was outright compared to Star Swirl the Bearded by the Pony of Shadows, someone who could move the Sun, albeit with some help, and was also capable of moving the moon and sun by herself, and at the same time!

ROB: Even if Mordecai was comparable in stats to Twilight, she had abilities that could outright negate durability, and was naturally more intelligent than Mordecai, considering his best feat was creating a failed time machine, whereas Twilight outright had been able to use difficult spells just from reading about them, and could use dark magic just by seeing Celestia do it herself.

Game and Watch: Obviously, yeah. With no way to really counter Twilight, and with many of his objects requiring time to do their ability or they were purely physical things that would have been negated by Twilight's superior strength edge, there was no doubt that Twilight was going to take this.

ROB: The winner... is Twilight Sparkle.

Trivia[]

  • Both are the main protagonists of cartoons that made large impacts throughout the 2010s decades (Regular Show and Adventure Time helped CN crawl out of their shithole and paved way for other mature cartoons, and MLP has a very large fanbase that shaped Internet culture). They live in towns with generic names (City and Ponyville) that are actually magical in some sort of way (Mordecai and Rigby have to fend off weird shit in every episode, and Ponyville is so magical it may as well have came out of a Disney movie), where they are in a group of six with the dumber, rebellious one whose names start with R (Rigby and Rainbow Dash), the energetic prankster (Muscle Man and Pinkie Pie), the sweet, loyal friend who is a big animal lover (Pops and Fluttershy), the hardworking, impatient one who tends to come off as aggressive (Benson and Applejack), and the generous, resourceful one (Skips and Rarity). They are considered the best of their kind (Mordecai is an epic a highly talented gamer, and Twilight is considered the greatest unicorn in all of Ponyville) and are courteous anthropomorphic animals who are well-educated (Mordecai has a college education and is more serious than Rigby, and Twilight has vast amounts of knowledge in literature and magic). However, they have odd fears (Mordecai is scared of unicorns, and Twilight is scared of quesadillas) and weren't always the best of their kind, though their weaknesses started to decrease as their shows went on (Mordecai used to be a massive simp until he started maturing, and Twilight previously didn't know how to fly very well).
