Wiz: Somewhere in Japan, there's a large school titled Hope's Peak Academy. Now this wasn't one of those schools where you can just enroll into it. Nope. The school themselves will choose a certain high school student who's best at what they do.
Boomstick: Hope's Peak was run by the self proclaimed headmaster himself, the mascot of Ultimate Despair, Monokuma. What what?! That's the headmaster?! I thought he'd be a lot scarier.

Wiz: At first glance, he may seem just like a normal teddy bear but he's way more than that. He'd also be part of something called The Tragedy, caused by the one who came up with Monokuma, Hope's Peak Academy's Ultimate Fashionista herself, Junko Enoshima.
Boomstick: Well, that isn't her number one talent. It's actually being the Ultimate Despair. Apparently, all she wants people to feel is nothing but absolute despair because...why not?
Wiz: Before she could even get started, Junko needed a face to remind everyone that hope will be forever lost and that was none other than the black and white bear himself. While Junko was the one who came up with the concept of Monokuma, another student known as Monaca Towa was the one who helped her bring him to life.
Boomstick: And the moment the new students of Hope's Peak was trapped inside, Monokuma successfully killed off the real headmaster of the school Jin Kirigiri. Now, he's taking over as the headmaster while also giving Jin's daughter Kyoko even more dad issues...just like how my dad did.
