Mocchi is Genki's personal monster and partner. And is one of the Seven Searchers in the world of Monster Rancher.

Mocchi is a strange looking monster, having flabby and sticky skin, and a hard scale attached on his head to its back. But with its cute movements, it gained a lot attraction to most people. Making their kind popular.

History

The monster world was in turmoil before its savior named; Genki, arrives. He had with him a disc, and unleashed its content inside which was Mocchi. The flabby pink monster became Genki's personal monster and partner.

As they travel the world of monsters to find the legendary monster; Phoenix, to combat the overlord Moo, and bring peace to the Monster World, they encounter trouble with Moo's minions, the baddies, and made friends and allies along the way in their mission towards liberating the monster world from Moo's regime.

Mocchi became one of the Seven Searchers in their quest to liberate the land from Moo's baddies.

Throughout their adventures, Mocchi experienced the most from their group. Learning new skills and abilities as well grew up in personality.

Mocchi's have all-around well balanced stats. Mocchi's can reshape their semi-maleable body to increase their size. Their kind also belongs to the wind, ground, and plant element.

Offensive Techniques

• Slap: Uses flippers to slap the opponent silly.
• Thrust: Uses force to hit the opponent.
• 1-2 Thrust: A combo of force in hitting the opponent.
• Head Butt: Uses the scale on Mocchi's head to butt the opponent's head.
• Licking: Uses tongue to lick the opponent (can cause stun).
• Diving & Giant Press: Jumps high into the air and increases Mocchi's size to flatten the opponent.
• Roll Attack, Dazzling Roll, & Roll Assault: Mocchi curls up into a ball to attack their opponent. For a devastating attack, Mocchi can charge up and execute the powerful Roll Assault. The longer the charge, the more powerful the impact becomes.
• Petal Swirl, Vortex, Storm/Wind: Mocchis are capable of summoning and unleashing sharp petals to cut their opponents or send them flying into the air. In the anime, Mocchi called it "Cherry Blossom Blizzard", which is even strong enough to send opponents several times of Mocchi's size into the air.
• Mocchi Ray, Beam & Cannon: Mocchis can unleash a powerful attack of energy from their mouth. Mocchi can fire up several balls of energy and execute a lethal beam (Mocchi Cannon) to cripple/knock out or outright kill their opponent. In the anime, the Mocchi Cannon is strong enough to overpower General Durahan's thunderbolt.
• Flame: Mocchis can also unleash flames from their mouth to burn their opponent.

Defensive Techniques

• Round: A defensive move of Mocchis. By curling up to a ball, Mocchis can defend themselves from attacks. Although their scales are hard, continuous hard strikes can cause their scales to crack.
• Roll: Mocchi curls up into a ball and rolls out of the way from their opponent's strikes.
• Bounce: Similar to Mocchis defenses when they curl up into a ball to escape or evade incoming attacks, but instead of rolling, they bounce like a ball.
