Description[]
Mob Psycho 100 vs Neon Genesis Evangelion! The ability to change and become more comfortable in your own skin is essential to a healthy mindset. These two teenagers have had to go through this journey...however enough healing who'd win in a fight (yes I am well adjusted).
Intro[]
Vince: Shigeo Kageyama - The Esper who keeps it 100!
Frank: And Shinji Ikari - The Pilot of Eva Unit 01!
Jack: When a person is struggling mentally it can be hard to make the steps to improve your life. But those little steps in life are what can truly save a person's life.
Vince: The support of those around you can help you take those steps...however what if the support of those around them becomes the only way for someone to view themselves positively. Well both scenarios are the realities that our combatants lived through.
Frank: AH FUCK ALL THAT PSYCHOLOGY SHIT IT'S MECH VS PSYCHIC!
Jack: ...You could've worded that better.
Vince: For Mob there's not much to mention of what we're including since we're basically compositing him. Anime, OVAs anything that doesn't contradict the original story (Manga) then it's good to go. For Shinji the anime will take priority along with the End of Evangelion movie.
Frank: But don't expect to see ANIMA or the Rebuild movies because they change up the events of the original series a lot. If you don't like...actually I'm not gonna be mean.
Jack: ...Oh...well done! Well anyway...DEATH BATTLE!
Mob[]
Vince: Ghosts. Spirits of the dead that cling to the mortal world that they once roamed to do as they please. Sometimes they just want to live with their families or to be a pervert. But then there are others that come back as evil spirits.
Frank: To combat against these evil spirits those with psychic powers have taken up arms to protect the innocent...and then there's the owner of Spirits and Such Consulting; Arataka Reigen.
(Stop music)
Jack: Now while Reigen may claim that he is a powerful psychic or esper that eliminates ghosts just like that...but in all actuality he's a complete fraud (a nice one though) not a screed of powers! Which is why he helps people who think they're possessed through different methods such as massage therapy or photoshop. However whenever an actual ghost shows up...he calls up his young apprentice who actually has powers.
Vince: While this kid may not lookit...he is an absolute beast. With psychic power that puts him above nearly every ghost he comes up against. His name? Shigeo Kageyama...otherwise known as Mob.
Frank: But see while Shigeo may be exceedingly powerful...he doesn't exactly care to show it. See he had a normal childhood until one day he and his brother Ritsu were attacked by a gang of bullies.
Jack: As you can expect Shigeo snapped and in an outburst unleashed his power and accidentally caused his brother Ritsu to be injured. This moment was deeply traumatic for Shigeo and as a result of it he bottled up his emotions.
Vince: After this incident he met the aforementioned Reigen who while a scammer still became somewhat of a mentor to Mob, almost being like another parental figure...the price being Mob using his powers to exorcise ghosts for Reigen since again he has absolutely no powers.
Frank: But otherwise Mob...just didn't really do much. He essentially was alone. That was until he joined the Body Improvement Club, the most supportive friend group of all time, so he could gain the confidence to ask out his crush Tsubomi.
Jack: This is actually an amazing example of Mob's attitude towards his powers. Believing that they don't actually define who he is as a person. Instead it's being kind to those around him is what mattered the most. Look while Reigen is a scammer...I honestly love him.
Vince: Mob's powers are inherently very useful for somebody trying to pretend to be a psychic and exorcist. He's not only able to see spirits invisible to normal people, but he also has the ability to exorcise them[1]. Despite being usually very easily persuaded by his lack of confidence Mob has shown the ability to resist hypnosis[2].
