Mob Vs Sans is a What-If? Death Battle between Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100, against Sans from Undertale.

Description[]

Two telekinetic fighters who only fight for the greater good, and when only is needed. They each want the best for the world, but only one has the power to bring it out. Will it be the Young Psychic, or the Fat (Big Boned) Skeleton? Find out in this Death Battle!

Intro[]

Skunk: All of the best warriors fight for freedom, honor and justice, striking down those who dare threaten the world.

Skel: And sometimes those warriors don't look so deadly, but they are very much super powerful.

Skunk: Shigeo Kageyama, Otherwise Known as Mob.

Skel: And Sans, Joke Cracking Skeleton. He's Skunk and I'm Skel!

Skunk: And it's our job to research their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle!

Mob Gives 100% In Death Battle![]

Skunk: People are everywhere, all around us people are doing things we take no notice of, you wouldn't expect anything interesting to come from a passing person.

Skel: Well let me tell you something, that is not the case for Shigeo Kageyama, better known as Mob, is no regular person.

Skunk: Mob is a kid who was innocent, and just wanted a normal life, but being an Anime Protagonist, he needed to be super powerful and chock-full of insane abilities, but we will talk about that later.

Skel: Yeah, but his looks aren't too deceiving when you first meet him, he isn't really the kind of kid who you want in your sports team.

Skunk: Mob can barely run a mile before passing out, which is just awful to think about, a young kid who can't even run for more than 5 minutes?

Skel: Yeah, he joined a club to get fitter, and he just sucked at it.

Skunk: He is still a very interesting kid to be known of, as he isn't just a normal, easily exhausted kid, he is a psychic warrior.

Skel: But he really doesn't care much, or, he just doesn't want to use the powers really, given a bit of an incident in his past, he hurt his brother on accident.

Skunk: He vowed to never use his powers on others, in fear of hurting them too.

Skel: Which is really stupid, I mean, what if you're about to die? You gotta use your powers to defend yourself!

Mob's Powers[]

  • Forcefield Creation
  • Telekinesis
  • Flight
  • Energy Absorption
  • Resistance to Mental Attacks
  • Astral Projection
  • Chlorokinesis
  • Spiritual Awareness
  • Emotional Power
    • Depending on what he feels, Mob creates a certain power from his emotions
      • This also is increased depending on how strong the emotion is

Skunk: Well, actually he does use his powers for that purpose, he can create a forcefield to block attacks from hitting him, and fly to avoid them altogether.

Skel: But when he does start to get serious, he can use his powers offensively, while being defensive too, like using Telekinesis to send something as big as a building at an enemy, use Chlorokinesis, whatever that is, or absorb other psychic powers.

Skunk: He can create an astral projection to leave his body, and possibly mess with people if he can possess them, and he has a special link to emotions.

Skel: Basically whatever emotion Mob feels, his powers respond to that, and the more he feels it, the more powerful it becomes.

Skunk: When reaching 100%, his emotions can cause colossal devastation, he can go rageful and become far more serious, he may feel really kind and be able to make stronger barriers to protect himself and others, he can even be obsessed with something so much, he will not stop until it is done, even killing.

Skel: Speaking of killing, Mob's powers can kill, though he rarely tries to use them for that, until he releases his true power, his question mark - question mark - question mark percentage power!

Mob's ???%[]

  • Becomes far more powerful than before
  • Can absorb energy further away and from the environment
  • Activates when in extreme stress or after being knocked out

Skunk: Better known as his inner power, he releases his true potential out, not holding back any more.

Skel: His power just goes higher and higher, even when he is knocked out, it still works.

Skunk: Basically an entity inside of Mob is controlling him while Mob is unconscious, fighting for him, going beyond 100%.

Mob's Feats[]

  • Blocked a bolt of lightning
  • Can make magnitude 9 earth quakes
  • Destroyed a Mental Mindscape
  • Defeated several foes of massive power
  • Powers can lift multiple buildings at once
  • Barriers can take massive hits without breaking
  • Made a hole in the clouds with his powers

Skunk: He can make massive earthquakes happen with his powers, make masses of buildings lift up into the sky, and even destroyed a Mindscape.

Skel: I don't really know what a "Mindscape" is, but I really do not care, it isn't as cool as blocking lightning and causing clouds to separate apart!

Skunk: Right, Mob's own powers can move clouds, to be able to move a cloud at all requires the power of hydrogen bombs, a single bomb of which is thousands of times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Skel: But with all his power, Mob still has flaws in him.

Mob's Flaws[]

  • Using 100% too much makes him tired
  • Physically inferior, relying more on his powers
    • Though, he could use his powers to buff himself, making him stronger
  • Barrier has a limit to how much power it can withstand

Skunk: Indeed, with all powerful super forms, they come with downsides, such as exhausting Mob after using his 100% power.

Skel: Which he needs, because his powers really are the only thing he can use to fight.

Skunk: And his barriers do have limits on them, if too much power is against them, they can be overpowered.

Skel: But still, even when he faces godly beings, Mob will protect those who need it, and use his powers for the better, to the very end.

Mob: Can you feel it? Rage, burning in me.

Sans Gives His Opponent A Bad Time In Death Battle![]

Skunk: The underground is full of many interesting creatures, moles, worms, and, uh...

Skel: And monsters!

Skunk: I mean reality underground, not Undertale.

Skel: Yeah but we are here to talk about that kind of monster!

Skunk: Right, humans and monsters once lived in peace, happy and free.

Skel: Until the monsters got locked behind some barrier that needed 7 human souls to destroy it. But it did need just 1 human soul to pass through it.

Skunk: King Asgore had wanted to free the monsters, and assigned royal guards to get any human souls who dared to come into the underground.

Skel: This is relevant because Papyrus wanted to be one, and we are here to talk about his very brother, Sans!

Skunk: Sans is a short skeleton, being the more logical of him and Papyrus, and overall, the smarter one, at least in terms of logic.

Skel: Sans wasn't really interested in catching a human, but he did ask humans to play along with his brother, as to not upset him, because that is what good brothers do.

Skunk: He shows off a large amount of care and confidence throughout Undertale, not really caring about much that happens, he even has casual chats with Frisk.

Skel: Yeah, but he is nice in the Pacifist and Neutral Route, but if you do the Genocide Rout, you'd best buckle up cowboy, because things are about to get rowdy!

Sans' Powers[]

  • Inorganic Physiology
    • Made of Magic
  • Magic
  • Teleportation
  • Soul Manipulation
  • Gravity Manipulation
    • Can make a soul unable to float/fly, and be affected by gravity
  • Gaster Blaster Creation/Energy Manipulation
    • These can shoot energy beams out
    • Can create several at once
  • Bone Manipulation
    • Can make a massive amount of bones to attack foes
  • KARMA
    • The worse a person is, the more damage Sans deals to them

Skunk: When Sans decides to fight, he can call upon several attacks, including sending a mass of bones at his opponents, throwing them all around, and forcing them to obey the laws of gravity.

Skel: He can teleport, and is made of magic, like every monster in Undertale, which is really cool to think about.

Skunk: But one of his most notable attacks is his Gaster Blasters, floating skulls that can release energy beams.

Skel: Sans can summon a bunch of them at once, practically overwhelming anyone unprepared for him, especially when he mixes the attacks together, throwing bones and using his gaster blasters can really mess up people's sense of direction.

Skunk: Despite his appearance and what you'd think, Sans has done incredible things.

Sans' Feats[]

  • Can match Frisk/Chara
    • They can dodge near-point blank lightning attacks
    • Gets the first attack in always when facing Frisk/Chara
  • Stated to have beaten Flowey multiple times
  • Killed Frisk/Chara at least 11 times
  • Survived a long time after taking beyond fatal damage from Chara
    • He did eventually die afterwards
  • Survived getting electrocuted by Flowey

Skel: Sans has been able to beat Flowey before, at least it is stated, and he also can take getting electrocuted.

Skunk: Sans may seems dumb, but he is intelligent enough to beat Chara at least 11 times, and they can dodge lightning strikes nearly directly in front of them.

Skel: Oh, he also is probably the strongest monster in Undertale, at least the strongest who isn't a god, and he also plays unfair sometimes.

Skunk: But like every single other being, he has his flaws, and they are very obvious.

Sans' Flaws[]

  • Health and Defense is really low
  • Overconfident to an extent
  • Can get exhausted if pushed long enough
  • Was still defeated in the end by Chara/Frisk

Skel: Yep, he has a mega low health pool, and by pool, I really mean like a shot glass, just drop him from a table and he smashes pretty much, his health is that low.

Skunk: And his defense is no better, anyone with basically any sign of strength could harm Sans.

Skel: He is also one of the few monsters in Undertale to show signs of getting fatigued, eventually he does get overwhelmed by the fighting, and that led to his defeat.

Skunk: As long as there is breath in his lungs, and magic through his non-existent veins, Sans will make sure anyone who causes trouble, will have a bad time.

Sans: Wanna have a bad time?

Intermission[]

Skunk: Alright the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Skel: It's time for a Death Battle!!!

Fight[]

Location: Snowdin

Mob is shown walking around a field, looking around at the butterflies and birds. He hears a rumble around himself, glaring around. Suddenly, he falls through the ground, which collapses down, causing Mob and parts of the ground to fall. Snowdin is shown, full of different monsters wandering, when bits of rock fall down. Monsters look up, and suddenly larger rocks fall down, nearly hitting the monsters. Mob falls down into the middle of the town, then gets up.

Mob: What is this place?

???: Oh my god, a human, Sans are you seeing this?!

Mob turns, and sees Papyrus stood with Sans, who unlike his brother, doesn't seem very interested.

Mob: Hey, what is this place?

Papyrus: This is Snowdin town, and you're a human, right?

Mob: Well, yeah, I am.

Papyrus: Sans, we are going to capture a human!

Sans: Well, great.

Mob starts to walk off, not really wanting to be a part of this, and wanting to find a way out of the underground.

Papyrus: Hey, get back here! Sans, stop them!

Sans teleports in front of Mob.

Sans: Hey, could you let my brother capture you, it is kinda a rare thing for a human to come here.

Mob: I just want to get back home, sorry.

Mob starts to walk away again, as Papyrus runs to Sans' side.

Papyrus: Sans, stop them right now!

Sans: Fine then, I'll get them softened up for you.

Mob suddenly gets a blue aura around him, and is lifted up. Sans slams Mob around, and tosses him down, but he gets up.

35% > 43%

Mob: You shouldn't use your powers on others you know, it is dangerous.

Sans: Papy, you should get out of here, this could get messy.

Papyrus runs off to get away from the fight, as Sans and Mob look at each other.

Fight!

Sans makes bones fly at Mob, who blocks them with his barrier. Sans then makes a large rock hit Mob from the side, sending Mob flying into Grillby's.

43% >> 64%

Sans goes in the building, and sends more bones inside, but Mob redirects the bones, which Sans destroys with his gaster blaster. Sans then makes his gaster shoot Mob, who uses his barrier to block it, straining.

Sans: You're in for a bad time.

64% >> 82%

Sans then teleports behind Mob, and shoots a bigger gaster from behind, sending Mob out the building, but Sans makes a wall of bones that Mob hits, and then Sans throws bar stools at Mob, who barely blocks them in time with his shield. Sans shoots 2 gasters from each side of Mob, who strains more to keep his barriers up.

Sans: You're good kid, but not good enough.

Sans then makes boats from the river nearby to form into a ball, as well as several rocks, trees and other materials. He sends it crashing down on Mob, and everything goes silent.

Sans: Huh, that was kinda disappointing...

82% >>> 100%

The pile of trees, rocks and other things then bursts, being sent everywhere, causing buildings to get damaged, and the ground to crack, shake and smash. Mob is shown to have gone 100%, his eyes red and hair up.

Mob: Using your powers this way is not wise, let me show you.

Mob sends massive boulders at Sans, who teleports out the way, until he shoots his gaster at Mob, but it is blocked by his barrier. Sans shoots 5 more gasters, forcing Mob backwards. Mob throws more rocks and trees, which Sans destroys with his gasters, and then sends a mass of bones at Mob, but they are destroyed by an energy barrier.

Sans: You're much tougher than I thought.

Mob flies up, and makes the ground start to shake, and several eruptions come from it, sending the snow up. Sans see the eruptions coming closer to him, and teleports rapidly, avoiding the blasts. Mob then flies at Sans, punching him a few times, then uppercutting Sans into the air.

Mob: Just so you know, this is your fault...

Mob then slams a tree down onto Sans, sending him hitting the ground. Sans teleports again, and stands on a large boulder on Mob's level. Sans uses his powers to force Mob down to the ground, and then hitting Mob all over the place, into rocks, buildings and trees.

Sans: This is really fun, huh?

Mob grunts as he gets smashed into things, but eventually releases a burst of energy, sending Sans falling off the boulder. Mob sends Papyrus' house at Sans, who stops it, and redirects it at Mob, who gets sent into a mountain. The house smashes, and Mob is shown getting up in the mess. Sans teleports over.

Sans: You're gonna have a very bad time now...

Sans' eye glows and flashes, and he then makes 10 gasters spawn, shooting at Mob, who uses his barriers with high strain, but then gets a hail of bones at Mob. Sans makes a massive gaster, and it blasts Mob, sending him hitting the mountain, and gets stuck into it.

Sans: Time to end this.

Sans makes hundreds of boulders float up, and then crash into where Mob is. He then makes a massive avalanche occur, burying the mess. Sans teleports away from the falling snow, and looks at the after-math. He lets a brief laugh out, then turns to leave.

100% >>>>>> ???%

Suddenly, a large chunk of the mountain explodes, and Sans jumps, barely evading debris that flies. Sans looks, and Mob is now using his full power. Mob punches Sans suddenly, moving too fast for Sans to have seen. Mob hits Sans in multiple directions, then punching him in another, multiple times, in rapid succession. Eventually, Mob slams down a large barrier sheet down, and crushes Sans into the ground.

Mob stares down at the mess, but is hit by a gaster from behind. He gets sent into another mountain. Mob then puts his arms out, and lifts up the top of the mountain. Sans looks up, and gets a scared look.

Sans: Oh god...

Mob then makes the mountain start to go towards Sans. Sans closes his eyes for a moment.

Sans: I can do this... I can do this...

The mountain comes very close to Sans, who then opens his eyes, and it starts to glow brightly.

Sans: I can do this!!!

Sans summons a massive gaster, which obliterates the mountain chunk, and the rest of the mountain. Mob appears behind Sans, and sends Sans flying far, hitting many trees. Mob appears ahead of Sans, then hits Sans with a barrier, and proceeds to hit Sans with multiple barriers at once, then sends Sans flying high. Sans summons 100 gaster blasters, all aim at Mob.

Sans: You're done for, try and survive this!

All the gasters fire, sending their beams down towards Mob. Mob then creates a curved barrier, which reflects the beams in different directions. He focuses hard, and then changes the shape of the barrier, to redirect the beams all in once direction. Mob then destroys all the gasters with their own beams. Mob appears behind Sans again, and sticks his arm through Sans' torso.

Mob: This was your fault...

Mob tosses Sans down, hitting him to the ground, bouncing him up after impact. Mob then makes a barrier form around Sans, and after simply shutting his hand, the barrier instantly shrinks down, and crushes Sans, with a crunch. Mob gets rid of the barrier, and Sans' crushed remains disintegrate, leaving the soul, which then shatters.

K.O!

Conclusion[]

Skel: I know a child has beaten Sans before, but how the heck did he lose to this kid?

Skunk: Trust us when we say this, that this battle was very close, Sans could have reasonably won plenty of times if the fight was done hundreds of times over.

Skel: But why does he lose more often than Mob would?

Skunk: Well, the matter of the fact is most attacks Sans had would not really be a problem for Mob, his gasters may shoot energy beams, but they are still physical, so Mob's barrier could block them with relative ease.

Skel: But what about speed? Sans was able to fight Chara, who can evade point-blank lightning, while Mob reacted to lightning further away from himself, shouldn't he be slower than Sans?

Skunk: While it is true Sans was faster, and he was more up to using his powers, the biggest problem was Sans didn't really possess enough power to put Mob down quick enough, almost every single attack would be blocked, apart from his blue bones that could phase through things. He also could negate Mob's flight with his gravity manipulation, but that wasn't really a big factor, not compared to others.

Pop-Up: While Mob could drain energy from others with similar powers, Sans uses magic in his attacks, so Mob couldn't have drained Sans' powers or nullified his gasters, though this hardly mattered.

Skel: Mob did have far more power on his side, but that really didn't matter considering probably any attack would kill Sans instantly, even if he wasn't at 100%, he could still kill Sans with ease, going to 100% would just make Sans redundant.

Skunk: And the final matter is that Mob had way better durability, even without his barriers, he could still take punishment from super tough foes, so even if Sans did hit Mob, he still was too weak to cause damage that would mean much.

Pop-Up: While having more power wouldn't matter with damage against Sans, it can still be used to prove Mob can overpower Sans' own telekinesis, being able to move things that are heavier, faster, and likely could stop anything Sans throws at Mob with ease.

Skel: So while Sans was the better fighter and faster, he just got beaten in power, toughness and weaker abilities. He must feel crushed.

Skunk: I'm pretty sure you've used that pun before.

Skel: Probably, it is hard to think of puns you know!

Skunk: Fair enough, the winner is Shigeo Kageyama!
