Introduction[]
Redshock: Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokémon
Mortician: SCP-096, The Shy Guy
Redshock: The world often has the most beautiful and amazing things that everyone wants to witness with their own eyes.
Mortician: But there are also things that are better off not being seen at all. Whenever someone takes a look at these two cursed faces, bad things always happen.
Redshock: But which nightmare fuel creature would win?
Mimikyu[]
Mortician: Pikachu is perhaps the most famous Pokémon of them all. Not just in the franchise but also in the Pokémon world itself.
Redshock: This Pokémon’s fame is at its peak in the Alola region. Almost everyone loves Pikachu. Keyword being “almost”. There is one Pokémon from Alola that dresses like Pikachu not out of admiration but jealousy
Mortician: The disguise Pokémon, Mimikyu. Mimikyu only wants to be loved like Pikachu so it dresses up like Pikachu to make friends with humans. However, some humans get frightened by this appearance.
Redshock: Some of those who do become friends with Mimikyu often want to see Mimikyu without the cloak which Mimikyu does everything it can not to let them see. This is because Mimikyu’s true appearance is so terrifying that you can actually die from seeing it.
Mortician: Despite Mimikyu’s terrible curses, there are humans who love Mimikyu for what it is and yet respect its decision to look like Pikachu. Even in the dark and scary parts of the Pokémon world, there is light at the end.
Redshock: While it may not look like it, Mimikyu is quite a powerful Pokémon. Not only is it able to use a large variety of Ghost and Fairy Type moves, but it can even use great statistical moves. Along with the fact that its Ghost and Fairy typing gives it an immunity to Normal, Fighting, and Dragon Types attacks makes it so useful that even competitive Pokémon Players use Mimikyu.
Mortician: In game, Mimikyu is comparable to mid-level stage Pokémon like Dragonair who can destroy a city. And in terms of speed, Mimikyu is comparable to Magnemite who can dodge lightning.
Redshock: However in the anime, Mimikyu is a lot more powerful than this. Even before Mimikyu was caught by Jessie from Team Rocket, Mimikyu was able to overwhelm Ash’s Pikachu. The same Pikachu who can defeat Mega Evolved Pokémon and even Legendaries.
Mortician: And even after that, Mimikyu has almost beaten Pikachu a few times. The first time Pikachu lost, it had help. But the second time where it almost won, it fought Pikachu alone. In fact, it would’ve won if Pikachu hadn’t used its 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt Z-Move. A move so powerful that it could one shot a Nihilego and even overpower the island guardian Tapu Koko’s own Z-Move. Now I’m not saying that Mimikyu is at this level, but being a match for Pikachu does put it much higher than what it is in the game.
Redshock: Mimikyu has all kinds of special moves like Scratch and Splash, but it has its own technique moveset like Copycat which lets Mimikyu copy the last move that was used. Double-Team which Mimikyu creates afterimages clones of itself which makes it difficult to hit.
Mortician: Shadow Sneak: Mimikyu creates a shadow that appears behind its target and attack. Shadow Claw: Mimikyu slashed with its claws that are infused with ghost energy. Wood Hammer: Mimikyu smashes its target with its tail in the shape of a log. And so many more.
Redshock: Mimikyu is an expert in stealth, with his Disguise it can take a little bit of damage during battle and if anyone sees it’s True Self they will die of fear. Man Pokémon can get dark
Mortician: We’ll Mimikyu like all other Pokémon have it’s weaknesses, being a Ghost and Fairy Pokémon it is weak to Poison, Steel and other Ghost Pokémon.
Redshock: Mimikyu is usually shy and prefers to keep away from others. The effects of Mimikyu’s True Self vary from the shortest time being instantaneous to the longest being a few days.
Mortician: But if you come across a Pikachu like Pokémon, make sure to double check the Pokédex or you might die from this creepy Ghost Pikachu
SCP-096[]
Mortician: The SCP Foundation. Secure. Contain. Protect. This foundation is responsible for containing potential dangerous anomalies.
Redshock: Things like an old man who can melt anything, a plague doctor who can kill anyone with one touch, a concrete statue that loves to snap necks, an endless IKEA store? Okay?, a clone of Hitler?!, and a giant lizard who can adapt to anything. Finally get something that’s not ridiculous
Mortician: As dangerous and terrifying as they can look, one of the most deadliest anomalies is actually quite docile. That is, as long as you don’t look at its face. If you do, you’re as good as dead. This is SCP-096, The Shy Guy.
Redshock: SCP-096 is classified as an Euclid Class. This means that it’s unpredictable and not completely contained. This is because while it’s normally docile, 096 will go into a rage state if someone sees it’s face. Even if it’s in a picture where it’s barely noticeable, 096 will know and chase down the person who saw it to kill them.
Mortician: The biggest problem for the Foundation is that when this happens, they can’t stop it. 096’s tremendous strength and endurance makes it nearly impossible to stop when enraged. Even SCP-682, the Hard-To-Destroy Reptile has a hard time killing 096.
Redshock: 096 is strong enough to break out of a 5x5x5 meter steel containment cube, peel open a heavily armored Stryker, and easily destroy an E-3 AWAC. 096 can outrun several UH-60 Helicopters which top speeds go at about 357 km/h. To catch up to the E-3 AWAC would require 096 to move at speeds faster than 855 km/h making 096 faster than this
Mortician: 096 has been shown to be able to survive anything the Foundation could throw at it. Bullets, fire, acid, and even other anomalies.
Redshock: This is due to 096’s seemingly indestructible skeleton as well as a potent healing factor that could give Wolverine a run for his money.
Mortician: Also while 096 doesn’t appear to possess anything higher than animalistic intelligence, it can tell if someone has seen its face no matter where they are. One time, this man was looking through his photos when he went skiing. He happened to have a picture of 096 but it was so far in the background that he didn’t even notice it. However, 096 still knew that he saw his face in the photo and chased him down.
Redshock: But all SCP’s have ways in stopping them thanks to the SCP Foundation, 096 is only aggressive when someone sees it’s face. Despite having a strong healing factor, its flesh is just as durable as a normal human’s.
Mortician: And If 096’s target is extremely hard to kill, it will give up and refuse to fight anymore allowing the target to get in any clean attacks. But be wary whenever you hear any loud agonizing screams make sure you have your eyes shut or else the screams will follow you
Death Battle[]
Prologue[]
In the dark forest of the Alola Region, SCP-096 was sitting by himself in a daze. Just staring off in the distance. A Yungoos slowly approached 096 from behind out of curiosity. “Yungoos?”. However, the moment 096 began to move, Yungoos ran off. 096 continued to stare off in the distance. Suddenly three Murkrows landed on a branch above 096.
As all three flew away, one of them accidentally hit a Sitrus Berry and it fell off the branch and hit 096 on the head. The Sitrus Berry fell right next to 096 but he barely noticed it. Suddenly, Mimikyu came out of the bushes and approached 096. It had its eyes on the Sitrus Berry. Mimikyu slowly approached near 096 and towards the Berry. It then slowly reached out for the Berry. Then 096 turned towards Mimikyu. Mimikyu froze in its place. As the two locked eyes, 096 began to cry and covered his face. As his crying got louder, Mimikyu frantically grabbed the Sitrus Berry and ran off.
FIGHT![]
After making some distance from 096, Mimikyu was about to take a bite of the Berry when 096 came out of nowhere and smacked Mimikyu. As Mimikyu was sent flying through the woods, it crashed into a tree. 096 then charged at Mimikyu. Mimikyu used Shadow Sneak and Mimikyu sent a shadow through the ground and it appeared behind 096. The shadow then smacked 096 from behind. As 096 fell down, it scrambled backup and continued to charge at Mimikyu
Mimikyu used Baby-Doll Eyes as it winked at 096 however 096 was unfazed by it and smashed Mimikyu into the ground. However, Mimikyu was unfazed by the attack and wiggled out of 096’s grasp. 096 reached for Mimikyu but Mimikyu used Astonish and Mimikyu suddenly tackled 096 and caused him to stagger backwards. 096 reached for Mimikyu again and lifted it up. He opened his mouth to get ready to swallow Mimikyu.
Mimikyu used Slash and Slash Mimikyu slashed across 096 which caused him to drop it. As Mimikyu scurried away, the scratch mark on 096’s face healed and he chased after Mimikyu. Mimikyu then found itself cornered and 096 was catching up fast. As 096 got closer, a Bewear suddenly came by and accidentally smacked 096 away. 096 was sent flying. Dugtrio dug away and 096 continued to charge at Mimikyu. He got to the tree and ripped it out of the ground. Mimikyu used Double Team as Team
Mimikyu created multiple afterimages of itself and scattered them around. As 096 dropped the tree, he started swinging around trying to hit Mimikyu. However, a Pineco fell from the tree 096 uprooted and landed behind him. Pineco then exploded and blasted 096 away. While Mimikyu was in the range of the explosion, being a Ghost Type, Mimikyu was unfazed.
096 was sent flying away by Pineco’s Explosion attack. As he landed, he healed from the damage and charged back at Mimikyu. Mimikyu used Hone Claws and began scraping its claws together and increased its attack power. 096 got closer to Mimikyu, Mimikyu used Shadow Claw as Mimikyu infused its claws with Ghost Energy and slashed 096 across the face. However, that only staggered 096 and he grabbed Mimikyu. Mimikyu used Wood Hammer and its fake tail grew in size and it smacked 096 across the face, sending it backwards.
As 096 fell on the ground, a bunch of Gastly and Misdreavus appeared around 096 and looked directly at him. As 096 got up, he got angry and tried to hit the Gastly and Misdreavus. However, he only phased through them and they all laughed. Mimikyu tried to sneak away but 096 turned around and charged at Mimikyu once again. Mimikyu used Play Rough Mimikyu dashed at 096 and started smacking him in a dust cloud. 096 suddenly grabbed a large log and smacked Mimikyu away.
As Mimikyu landed, 096 pinned Mimikyu to a tree with the log. Suddenly, a branch that was sticking out from the log snagged the top of Mimikyu’s disguise and ripped it open. Mimikyu watched in horror as its costume was ruined. Suddenly, Mimikyu felt an extremely white-hot rage explode in it and Mimikyu used Slash and Mimikyu slash 096’s legs and made him fall to his knees. He then used Splash and Mimikyu jumped up and down and then jumped on 096’s chest. Mimikyu suddenly grabbed 096 by the neck and began to strangle 096.
Mimikyu then surrounded 096 entire head with its cloth. 096’s screams of anger turned into screams of terror. 096 began to panic and started thrashing around, trying to get Mimikyu off of him. However, Mimikyu had a tight grip on 096. 096 fell to the ground and continued to thrash around. Suddenly, 096 lay motionless. Mimikyu got up from 096. It held its torn costume up and scurried off.
FINISH!
Results[]
Redshock: This is Pokémon right? The game where you collect cute little animals? Cause that looked like it was straight out of a horror video game!
Mortician: This fight was a bit complicated. Especially when factoring in versions of each character. For this fight, we only used the game version Mimikyu and regular canon 096. We will talk later about what would’ve happened if we used Anime Mimikyu and Extended Canon 096.
Redshock: 096 was unfortunately outmatched in terms of stats by Mimikyu. 096 has the strength to tear through thick sheets of reinforced metal. However, Mimikyu’s baseline stats are superior to Dragonair who can create storms powerful enough to destroy cities.
Mortician: 096 can catch up to E-3 AWAC would require 096 to move at speeds faster than 855 km/h. But Mimikyu is superior to Magnemite who can attack as fast as lightning and is comparable to Pokémon who can dodge attacks like Solar Beam and Signal Beam which move at light speed
Redshock: Mimikyu also had a larger variety of attacks to use and had multiple ways to lower 096’s attack power. But 096’s saving grace would be his regeneration and indestructible skeleton. Despite the massive power and speed difference, Mimikyu didn’t have a good way of dealing with a regeneration ability like 096’s as well as his indestructible skeleton
Mortician: And because Mimikyu can’t naturally learn beam-like attacks, Mimikyu couldn’t finish 096 with brute force. Unfortunately, 096 had problems dealing damage to Mimikyu as well. Because Mimikyu is a Ghost Type Pokémon, it is immune to physical attacks. Not even taking in the difference in durability and attack lowering abilities as well as the effects of Disguise, 096 has no way of dealing damage to Mimikyu.
Redshock: So if Mimikyu can’t do any lasting damage and 096 can’t do anything damage whatsoever, why does Mimikyu win?
Mortician: Mimikyu does have one ability that can. Mimikyu’s True Self. Once 096 sees Mimikyu’s True Self, 096 will die from fear and due to the cross tests of 096 and 682 as well as other anomalies, we know that 096 is capable of fear.
Redshock: Now what about Anime Mimikyu and Extended Canon 096? With 096’s immortality and Star level feats, he should easily beat Mimikyu right? Well not exactly. While 096 doesn’t lose against Mimikyu, he doesn’t win either.
Mortician: 096 can survive inside of a star and due to the effects of SCP-4121, SCP-096 exists in a state of causal stasis, preventing its termination due to its causality being unable to proceed beyond the current point in time. The thing is, Mimikyu can survive Pikachu’s 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt Z-Move which can one shot a Nihilego who is on par with Tapu Koko. Which could grant Mimikyu Universe level durability or at least close to it.
Redshock: While Extended Canon would result in a tie, using regular canon and game version, the victory would most likely go to Mimikyu. SCP-096’s durability and regeneration kept him in the fight, but Mimikyu’s Power, Speed, and Ghostly Abilities gave it the win.
Mortician: Mimikyu really unmasked this victory.
Redshock: What did I say about you doing puns! *Redshock knocks Mortician away with a fist full of red lightning energy* whoops sorry doc that was a little too much the winner is Mimikyu!
