History[]
Supposedly one the last of the Ackerman clan (the other being Levi), an ancient warrior bloodline that was experimented to superhumanity in order to become the bodyguards of an long-lost king, Mikasa is a natural-born warrior and an exemplary soldier. Adopted by Eren when her parents were lost and having been protected by him when they were children, Mikasa has sworn her entire life to stay by Eren's side no matter what (despite the irony that she opposes the Yeagerists, a faction which aims to unite both Eren and Zeke so that they can create an Empire), alongside childhood friend Armin Arlert. Until one day, tragedy struck. When Titans attacked the village they grew up in, resulting in the death of Eren's mother Carla, Mikasa steadfastly joined the Survey Corps with Eren and Armin, where she proved to be an extremely competent soldier (whose prowess in battle rivals Levi, her relative). There, alongside her company, Mikasa has stood fast against the Titans... but discovers that there's more to the plot than an invasion of giants.
