Pokémon VS Star Wars! These creations stand among the most powerful genetic clones ever made, free from the chains of their creators, nothing can stop them now, prepare yourself for this one.

Mewtwo vs. Starkiller is the 50th episode of DEATH BATTLE! by Shadow7615, featuring Mewtwo from the Pokémon series and Starkiller from the Star Wars series in a battle between supremely powerful genetically modified clones.

Interlude[]

Wiz: As a man of science, I know first hand the trials and tribulations of genetic cloning, while plenty have tried, many have failed.

Boomstick: But some of them reach the pinnacle, and create something that truly lives up to the original. And these two personify that very accomplishment.

Wiz: Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokémon, and clone of Mew.

Boomstick: And Starkiller, the Force Unleashed, and clone of Galen Marek. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Mewtwo[]

Boomstick: Pokémon, all these crazy critters are running around the world, and with how many there are, it’s safe to say just about everyone has at least one Pokémon. But one organization was looking for an exceptional Pokémon, the Mythical Mew.

Wiz: Team Rocket were looking to acquire Mew, who they learned years prior, was residing somewhere in Guyana, an expedition was conducted, and the team discovered a fossilized eyelash, and somehow this was enough material for their ambitions.

Boomstick: They brought it back to their science guys, and got hired to do a pretty insane job. Create a Pokémon. Dr. Fuji, the main scientist dude, was looking for a way to resurrect his dead daughter, Amber. So, who the heck else would be better suited to such a task?

Wiz: With vast resources, Dr. Fuji and his team successfully created the Genetic Pokémon, Mewtwo. But while still in its infancy, Mewtwo befriended Fuji’s other creations through psychic connections to each other, Mewtwo even met Amber, or at least what was left of her. Unfortunately, all the attempts to revive Amber failed, and she died along with all of Fuji’s creations… except Mewtwo.

Popup: Officially, Mewtwo are Genderless. Despite the most well-known Mewtwo having a masculine voice, another Mewtwo possessed a feminine voice.

Boomstick: But before it got out of hand, Fuji suppressed Mewtwo’s feelings, which sounded alright, but as Mewtwo matured, it couldn’t figure out why the heck things were like this. And then it broke out of the labs that created it, and Mewtwo’s journey began, where it’d hopefully find some answers.

Wiz: Mewtwo is, without question, the most powerful Psychic-type Pokémon, being able to use its remarkable psychic powers to dominate foes with little more than its mind. It can fly, read minds, and if done properly, erase memories. While Pokémon have immense pools of attacks they can learn, Mewtwo does have its favourites, notably Psychic.

Boomstick: An epic form of telekinesis that lets Mewtwo toss around any and all of its victims. Even Pokémon like Onix, who weigh 210 kgs, get tossed around like they’re paperweights. Maybe I need to look into this brain stuff, so I can move beers with my mind.

Wiz: It can attack with plenty of moves that aren’t the same type as itself, such as the ghostly Shadow Ball, Counter lets Mewtwo hit back after a physical attack with double the power. And when it needs to, Recover allows Mewtwo to heal itself by half of its maximum health.

Popup: Mewtwo has performed moves such as Hyper Beam, but only in an audio drama and spin-off titles, unlike Recover and Swift, it is not a part of Mewtwo’s natural learnset.

Boomstick: But Mewtwo’s best moves are its Psychic-type ones. He can even amplify himself with Psychic energy to perform even more deadly attacks, like Psycho Cut and Psystrike. And Barrier helps Mewtwo stay protected when someone decides they wanna attack it.

Wiz: Though Mewtwo can still fall back on its natural abilities. For Mewtwo, this is Pressure, in which he puts pressure on opposing Pokémon. A fairly common trait Mewtwo shares with other Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

Boomstick: But we haven’t talked about one of the biggest game-changers yet.

Wiz: After a discovery in the Kalos region, a new phenomenon rocked the Pokémon world. The power of Mega Evolution. And turns out this was something that Mewtwo was able to harness. It gained the ability to temporarily evolve into two different forms, each with their own benefits

Popup: Mewtwo is one of only two Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving into X and Y forms, and was the first Legendary Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution. Mewtwo once attained a form called Shadow Mewtwo, but this was only accomplished when merged with a Shadow Synergy Stone.

Boomstick: Mega Mewtwo X becomes a Psychic/Fighting Pokémon and gains a boost in Attack and Defense, while Mewtwo doesn’t have many Fighting-type moves it can learn naturally, it is able to learn Aura Sphere! A cool move from that other Pokémon!

Wiz: As Mega Mewtwo Y, it remains purely a Psychic Pokémon, but gains a tremendous boost in Special Attack, Special Defense, Attack and Speed, at the cost of low physical Defense. And with the Insomnia ability, it can better resist being put to sleep. Mega Mewtwo Y proved fast enough to reach escape velocity.

Boomstick: Even when carrying another Pokémon! That’s over twenty-five thousand miles per hour, for the record. With all these powers, Mewtwo has gone up against and defeated plenty of epic Pocket Monsters, Mewtwo has battled other Legendary Pokémon, including the DNA Pokémon Deoxys.

Wiz: With its immense power, Mewtwo was able to deal serious damage to Deoxys, and even survive being impaled twice by it. And Deoxys is no joke since it fights Rayquaza on equal footing, and Rayquaza has a Mega Evolution of its own. And possesses faster than light speeds. Psychic-types like Mewtwo dominate against physically impressive Fighting-types and dangerous Poison-types.

Popup: Mega Rayquaza destroyed a gigantic meteoroid called Grand Meteor Delta, which itself was powerful enough to destroy the planet. Rayquaza also defeated Primal Kyogre, who created a planetary storm.

Boomstick: But it struggles when battling against spooky scary Ghost-types, is particularly vulnerable to Dark-types, as Psychic moves cannot affect Dark-type Pokémon. And he’s still weak to Bug-types. Changing into Mega Mewtwo X trades its weaknesses of Bugs and Dark-types for Flying and Fairy-types.

Wiz: Also, while Mewtwo’s powers are impressive, they aren’t automatic, and more potent abilities, like erasing memories, take time for it to pull off efficiently. It cannot simply make memories disappear. It can read minds, as it did so to Genesect. But hasn’t shown it can instantaneously erase memories.

Boomstick: Yeah, it’s nice to be able to get in there and read your opponent’s mind, but those with resistances against telepathic abilities will certainly make sure Mewtwo doesn’t get to see them, and that will only make erasing memories harder.

Wiz: And of course, Mewtwo is far from invincible, but Mewtwo is a very intelligent lifeform. In combat, Mewtwo has developed strategies, even in scenarios when it had a fundamental disadvantage. Notably against the Bug/Steel-type Genesect, whom Mewtwo defeated multiple of by itself.

Boomstick: So, it’s safe to say Mewtwo knows what to do in almost any situation. Yeah, Mewtwo has definitely lived up to the hype of being one of the most powerful Pokémon of all time.

Mewtwo: I see now that the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines you who are.

Starkiller[]

Wiz: As the Galactic Empire began their reign across the galaxy, its lethal enforcer, Darth Vader, continued his mission to destroy the remaining Jedi that survived the Great Purge. And during one fateful visit to Kashyyyk, Vader would find someone whose power was truly exceptional. Galen Marek, a child who could disarm the Dark Lord.

Boomstick: Seeing an opportunity, Vader killed the kid’s dad right in front of him, and took him under his wing to be raised as his secret Sith Apprentice. Since Vader didn’t have the power to take down the Emperor by himself, Vader spent almost two decades teaching his apprentice the ropes.

Wiz: But in true Sith fashion, it was a ruse, and Vader did not want to use Galen to dethrone Palpatine. With his final betrayal complete, Galen turned his immense power against Vader and the Emperor, defeating them both, but at the cost of his life. That day was a grave revelation to the Dark Lord.

Boomstick: Turns out Palpatine was more than willing to replace him with Galen. And Vader realized he fucked up pretty bad. So to try and fix his problem, Vader decided to attempt something that was considered impossible to perfect. Cloning a force-sensitive. And Vader knew just the place to clone people. The same people who made the Clones Troopers when the Clone Wars broke out.

Popup: The Starkiller clone we are most familiar with is Subject-1138. While not confirmed, this designation may refer to how many clones of Galen Marek were made during Vader’s campaign for the perfect apprentice.

Wiz: This process was arduous, and even when developments were made, a new challenge presented itself, but eventually, Vader’s plan paid off, and one clone showed promise. This clone, appropriately called Starkiller, was quickly thrust into the training he would need to be Vader’s apprentice. But when he refused to obey, Starkiller deserted his home and began his quest.

Boomstick: Starkiller’s training was thanks to memory flashes he experienced thanks to the original Galen Marek. As a result, by the time he left his home planet, Starkiller was perfectly capable of using the powers that laid within him.

Wiz: As a clone of Marek, Starkiller inherited the powers and abilities of his deceased progenitor. With his telekinetic Force abilities, Starkiller can effortlessly toss around his victims, Force Push, Force Pull, and even more powerful abilities like Vader’s signature, the Force Choke.

Boomstick: He’s even got a few extra special powers, that are so amazingly powerful, that he usually turns to them as a last resort. And for good reason, they’re by far his more powerful Force techniques. First off is Force Repulse, a giant outward blast of the Force.

Popup: The portrayal of Force Repulse varies between the game and its novelization, the former depicting disintegration, and the latter, vaporization. In both cases, however, it is considered an immensely powerful Force ability, and in the novelization, it is used only once.

Wiz: Think of it as a gigantic telekinetic explosion, but takes the most out of Starkiller compared to almost all of his abilities, except for one. By drawing upon his inner fear, hate, and anger, Starkiller’s powers are amplified immensely, turning all his techniques into far more dangerous and deadly moves. This is Force Fury.

Boomstick: Another really important Force ability he can use is the legendary Force Lightning, with it, Starkiller can inflict a crap ton of pain onto his victims, and even has a couple of unique uses of Force Lightning, such as when he turns his Lightsabers into Lightningsabers! If you get what I mean.

Wiz: Speaking of which, Starkiller carries dual lightsabers, and he was trained in a form called Jar'Kai, which is geared around the use of multiple blades. When he trained, Starkiller applied himself to two styles of Lightsaber training. Forms IV and VI. The fourth form, Ataru is primarily fighting with a combination of your strength, power, and speed.

Boomstick: Which are all boxes Starkiller ticks. And the sixth form, Niman is essentially a more balanced swiss-army knife of all the previous forms, and they consist of Form I’s basics, Form II’s saber duelling, Form III’s defences and blaster deflection, and Form V’s defence turned offence approach. All of which Starkiller has displayed throughout his journey.

Popup: In combat, Starkiller mostly relies on pre-practised lightsaber sequences, being able to perform them instinctively. Starkiller, just like his progenitor, uses the reverse grip variant of Form V, which both he and Galen are famous for.

Wiz: After some soul-searching and a brief visit with Jedi Master Yoda, Starkiller knew he needed answers, and that finding his progenitor’s lover, Juno Eclipse, would be the first step. And on the way to her, Starkiller accomplished much, such as when he rescued Galen’s friend Rahm Kota and beat a Gorog single-handedly. Even before he freed himself, he survived 13 days without food or sleep, by simply using the Force to sustain himself.

Boomstick: He even helped the Rebels claim a major victory against the Empire during the Assault on Kamino. This dude was so gung-ho to save his girl that he jumped from a falling starship reentering Kamino’s atmosphere, and he just used the Force to protect him as he himself was going through the same reentry heat. What a boss!

Wiz: And when he did touch down on Kamino he came face to face with his creator and the extra surplus of all Marek’s failed clones. Starkiller annihilated his predecessors before he eventually went one-on-one with the Sith Lord.

Boomstick: Although Starkiller couldn’t beat Vader in a lightsaber duel, once Starkiller got pissed off enough and unleashed his Force Fury, he was able to utterly overwhelm Vader by manipulating his weakness to Force Lightning. Now that’s a satisfying finisher to that boss fight!

Popup: Given his incredible potency in the Force, Starkiller should be superior to Jedi Master Yarael Poof, who used the Force to contain the Infant of Shaa, which had the power to destroy a planet.

Wiz: Starkiller has certainly proven himself comparable to the Dark Lord, even in speed, and Vader is fast enough to react to and stop the I-Five's lasers, which are specifically said to move at the speed of light, that's 300,000 kilometres per second by the way. Though Starkiller isn’t an unlimited pool of Force abilities, using Force Repulse or Force Fury tend to exhaust him after just one use.

Boomstick: And he's not the most intelligent individual, his approach to combat can be summed up as "Alright so, first, you beat the shit out of them until they stop resisting". His most powerful abilities are the ones making his offence even more dangerous, he clearly didn't try to spread the butter on his toast.

Wiz: And while he’s really good at most Force abilities, there are some he is only really acquainted with on a standard level, such as the Mind Trick, don’t get me wrong, he can compel weak-minded individuals to do his bidding, making enemies betray each other or even kill themselves, he’s just a lot more proficient with telekinetic and energy-based Force abilities.

Boomstick: Yeah, he’s not the best telepath out there, especially since his own mind is potentially unstable, though I’d argue with what he’s accomplished, he’s got enough put together up there to be a badass in my book. Even when faced with the ability to get revenge, he thought about it.

Wiz: When Starkiller made the right choice, he had ensured there was hope for the future of the galaxy, but no matter what, Starkiller would remember everything, and how all of it led back to the man who created him.

Starkiller: Maybe Kota is right. Maybe this is all a trick, a way to get me so confused that I'd forget who I really am and become your slave again. But either way, I let you live. I've finally broken your hold over me.

DEATH BATTLE![]

It is a period of civil war. A hopeful rebellion has been inspired by solemn sacrifice to strike back against the reigning Galactic Empire. While their fight continues, Darth Vader plans to lure his cloned apprentice back to his home planet of Kamino to face his creator, or doom the growing rebellion. However, a strange disturbance catches the clone's attention. To ensure the safety of the rebellion, he leaves to discover the nature of this phenomenon...

Out in the vastness of space, within the observation of a nebula, and a nearby asteroid belt, a fleet of spacecraft were gathered, ranging from the flagship vessel to medical frigates, to small starships for single pilots. Collectively, they made an ensemble powered by the hope to save the galaxy from the clutches of its oppressive rulers. A small spacecraft emerged from hyperspace, as it got clearance to approach the flagship vessel, known as the Salvation, and docked in the hangar bay.

As the ship landed, out stepped two humans, both of whom dressed in slick and futuristic body armour, though still invoked the suggestion of a warrior past. One of them spoke, very much suggesting they have been in conversation for some time. "The alliance leadership can't agree on our next move. We don't have the firepower to take out a meaningful Imperial target, but nobody wants to risk lives making small hit and run attacks either". As the two walked, they were slowly approaching a movable platform, which would allow them to navigate across the Salvation’s vast floors and sectors.

The general, who was speaking, continued "Juno keeps pushing for them to do something, anything! Even if it's only a symbolic victory". Moments before the two of them step onto the platform, they feel something coarse through their bodies, it was unexpected, and none of them could immediately recognize what it was. But it was able to be felt this far out in the galaxy. "Did you feel that?" the general asked. "Yes... I did", his cohort responded. Starkiller, with his remarkable connection to the Force, could sense something was not right, but it was elsewhere, more than elusive to any place he'd been before.

"What should we do, Kota?", Starkiller asked the Alliance General Rahm Kota. "I'm not sure, the fact we could sense it at all means it's likely Vader might too, and if he gets there first, it might make things worse". Kota added. The two remained stationary, as the two important matters were both great causes for concern. After a brief moment, Starkiller made his choice "Whatever it is, it can't be ignored, I'm going to go look for it". Starkiller turned and began walking back. Kota intervened, "We can't pull off an attack without your help". Starkiller remembered something.

He reached into a pocket of his and retrieved a cylindrical silver object, and held it at the General's torso, due to the General's lack of vision, he could sense the object in his immediate proximity, and received the item being handed to him. He recognized it almost immediately, "An encrypted code cylinder?". Knowing that it was important for the general to have it, Starkiller explained: "Nav coordinates and schematics for the secret cloning facilities on Kamino. It's everything the alliance needs to launch a successful assault".

Impressed, Kota came to accept that Starkiller's help had been provided. But while he still wanted Starkiller's presence here, he knew that there was little to argue against the ways of the Force. "If this is anything like those powerful glimpses of the future you have seen, then it's for the best that you go". Kota insisted. "I will do what I can with this information, just make sure you get answers". Kota firmly gave his request as he bid farewell to Starkiller once again. Boarding his ship, the Rogue Shadow, Starkiller sat in his pilot seat and pondered this phenomenon.

Closing his eyes, Starkiller reached out with the Force, to see if he could pinpoint where exactly he would need to go. As the clone continued to reach deeper into the Force, an image flashed into his mind. It was a planet. In a system that was quite a distance away, Starkiller, with his eyes closed, primed his vehicle for takeoff. Departing the flagship, the Rogue Shadow flew away from the mighty fleet before jumping into hyperspace.

As the starship flew through hyperspace, Starkiller contemplated the planet he had seen in his mind, it was not Kamino. In fact, based on the ship’s charted trajectory, he was headed to the other side of the galaxy, far away from Kamino in fact. So he ruled out the possibility of this disturbance being Vader’s machinations with the clones. Odds were that Vader had become aware of this too, and knew that it was only a matter of time until Vader caught up with him.

The lengthy flight through Hyperspace proved sufficient food for thought as Starkiller continued to contemplate everything that had unfolded. But before too long, the interface alerted Starkiller that he had approached the system coordinate he marked. The Rogue Shadow emerged from hyperspace, where Starkiller could see the planet laid out in front of him.

It was barren, the entire planet’s surface. It looked unsightly, but somehow it was the origin of what Starkiller had detected. Sensing the phenomenon, Starkiller landed the Rogue Shadow a safe distance away from a pyramid-like structure. It seemed that the source of this surging presence in the Force was inside this structure. Sensing the Dark Side within, Starkiller prepared himself, as he approached and stepped into the structure.

It was darkness. Difficult to see, but such visual obstruction did not impede on Starkiller’s progress, using the Force, he was able to navigate through until a source of light pierced the darkness. He turned, and saw crimson light, it was faint and minuscule, but it was there. Starkiller began walking close to it. As he got closer, it once again increased in brightness, temporarily blinding Starkiller.

When his vision cleared, he could finally see the room more clearly, it was a room with a circular platform at its centre, and all possible walkways were destroyed. Starkiller glanced, and noticed a lifeform standing in close proximity to an object emitting the red light. This life form was tall, and stood near the artifact, trying to unravel its secrets. Starkiller realized he would need to make a great leap to reach the platform. Taking a deep breath and a step back, Starkiller rushed forward, jumped into the air, and leapt across the chasm and landed on the ground with a profound thud. Alerting the lifeform, Mewtwo, of a newfound intruder. Starkiller got a quick glance at the object, it was triangular in shape.

But Mewtwo very quickly tossed it aside, out of harm’s way, but not destroying it either. “I could sense your actions from far enough away to realize the danger you truly are! Leave this place” Starkiller demanded. Mewtwo finally turned to Starkiller, looking at him directly, “I will never obey the commands of any human, and you too will suffer the consequences”.

Mewtwo’s aura began to pulse, the energies of which alerted Starkiller, who drew out his two lightsabers from his belt and activated them. “If you do not step aside, I will eliminate you here and now”. Starkiller held his lightsabers in his traditional reverse grip style, as Mewtwo’s attention was drawn to his adversary. “You may try, human” Mewtwo retaliated.

FIGHT!

(Cue I am All of Mewtwo - Brandon Yates)

Charging at his foe, Starkiller was determined to mow down his opposition quickly. Unfazed by the assailant coming right for it, Mewtwo’s eyes glowed blue, even its eyes seemingly vanished, the sight was truly intimidating. Immediately Starkiller was halted in his tracks, and he had a similarly blue aura around him. At that moment, Starkiller panicked, he felt his feet leaving the ground, being raised into the air above. As his arms were affected, Starkiller deactivated his lightsabers and released them from his hands.

“You do not intimidate me”. Mewtwo dismissively waved its hand, and Starkiller flew across the room, impacting against the stone wall behind him. As he laid pressed up against the stone wall, Starkiller gazed below him to see the chasm that stretched deep into the ground. A moment passed, and he was free from the forces that held him against his will. Starkiller wasted no time and used the wall as leverage to push himself forward. Seeing the central platform just in front of him, Starkiller touched down.

On touchdown, Starkiller used the Force to reach out to his lightsabers, calling them back to his hands, upon contact with his hands, he ignited the blades. Mewtwo, meanwhile, realized its opponent was remarkably fast, though not quickly enough to avoid being tracked. Mewtwo acted quickly, but instead of batting its opponent away, it instead opted for a distant attack. Mewtwo held its arms by its side, as a sphere began to conjure within. It took shape, dark purple in colour.

With the Shadow Ball ready, Mewtwo tossed it toward Starkiller, seeing the projectile coming right for him, Starkiller quickly devised a counterattack. Raising his right arm, Starkiller reached out with the Force, and telekinetically grabbed hold of the projectile coming his way. With little effort, he stopped it in its tracks. Upon realizing its Shadow Ball had come to a grinding halt, Mewtwo was stunned at the moment. Starkiller then unleashed an aggressive push forward, as he used the Force to reverse the trajectory of the Shadow Ball. Now turned back, Mewtwo watched Shadow Ball come right back to and crash into it. Though the attack was not extraordinarily powerful, it did harm Mewtwo, as it staggered backward. Now realizing the danger that the human posed. Now realizing it had to be careful, Mewtwo stood back upright and was once again ready to face its opponent. Similarly, Starkiller now connected the dots and realized this extraordinary power was unlike any Jedi or Sith in the galaxy, even Vader.

As the two stood on opposite ends of the circular platform, both carefully watched their opponent’s slight movements, for all they knew, something could happen completely out of nowhere. Having decided on an action to take, Starkiller once again initiated an attack, as he charged at Mewtwo, instead of letting himself get manipulated by Mewtwo again, he employed a clever tactic. Starkiller flung his two lightsabers into the air, like a pair of boomerangs. Mewtwo immediately took notice and watched both the blades carefully.

Able to adequately trick Mewtwo into drawing its attention away from him, Starkiller made a powerful leap into the air, finally, Mewtwo noticed Starkiller’s plan, and realized it was just about to fall into a trap. To avoid it, Mewtwo slightly lifted itself off the ground, and levitated on the ground, gliding back far enough to avoid the lightsabers. Starkiller grabbed his lightsabers in midair and proceeded to aim them downward, ready to strike. Though upon touching down, Starkiller didn’t see Mewtwo. A brief moment passed and Mewtwo reappeared behind Starkiller. Who quickly flipped himself around.

Once again, the two locked eyes with each other, sensing the presence of more power than either was letting up. This time, however, Starkiller unleashed his own telekinesis, with a single thought and one outstretched hand, Mewtwo was raised off the ground as though being strangled by an invisible hand. Comfortable with where his opponent resided, Starkiller applied a follow-up attack, tossing both of his lightsabers toward their adversary. Mewtwo focused itself as it pushed free of Starkiller’s Force Choke.

But before it could even begin to descend down to the ground, the two blue lightsabers were coming right for him, seeing that avoiding them was dangerous this time, Mewtwo acted on this quickly, and raised a blue sphere around it, also housing Mewtwo within. The lightsaber’s struck and bounced off the Barrier, as they dropped to the ground below. But before they could drop too low, Mewtwo activated its telekinesis, catching the lightsabers in the middle of their fall.

Starkiller noticed this quickly, and reached out with the Force to pull them back into his grasp, noticing that its opponent was similarly applying telekinesis to pull the objects, Mewtwo increased the strength of its telekinesis, Starkiller similarly amplified his Force Pull, trying to reel in his prized possessions. Once again, Mewtwo recognized the intensity being displayed by its foe, and so once again pulled harder. Unsuspectingly, Starkiller immediately withdrew his Force Pull, and the lightsabers travelled directly to Mewtwo.

However, since the blades were still ignited, the two lightsabers very nearly struck Mewtwo. Fortunately, Mewtwo ceased its telekinetic pull. Starkiller, successful this time, pulled his Lightsabers to him, successfully reentering his traditional stance. Mewtwo gazed down at Starkiller, and swiftly conjured and launched another Shadow Ball, this time, however, Mewtwo did not remain idle, and flew around any possible return trajectory of its own attack. Naturally, Starkiller had seen this attack already, so he very quickly unleashed a Force Push, which impacted against the sphere.

The sphere imploded due to the collision, but Mewtwo used it to make a swift approach, though, with his talent for anticipating the future, Starkiller was able to act with just precious moments to spare, Mewtwo nevertheless continued its assault, ramming Starkiller with its speeds. Immediately caught in Mewtwo’s ramming attack, Starkiller left behind his lightsabers as he got carried across the room at incredible speeds, so much, in fact, the impact against the wall felt almost instantaneous.

Cracking the wall behind him, Starkiller recoiled from the impact, and once he had recovered some semblance of his being, he shook his head, trying to shake out the massive intake of phenomena he just experienced. When he finally came to, Mewtwo stood in front of him floating in the air. “I see now that I was wrong to assume you were just an ordinary human”. Mewtwo commented. Immediately afterwards, Mewtwo’s eyes glowed blue. As he once again ensnared Starkiller in his telekinetic grasp. “But you are a threat all the same”. Starkiller felt the telekinetic forces straining him again.

It was tightening all of his limbs, and he could feel his entire being confined to a telekinetic coffin, he had little room to move, and Mewtwo did not even remotely show signs of ceasing. Knowing he had only one surefire way to escape, Starkiller heard the voice of Darth Vader in his mind “You were weak when I found you. Now your hatred has become your strength”. Letting that thought dominate his mind, out of sheer desperation. Starkiller’s anger rose to the surface very quickly, it was exhilarating, intoxicating, but nevertheless, it was raw power.

(Cue Redemption - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed)

Allowing his anger to dominate him, Starkiller lashed out, which allowed him a moment to strike back. With a sudden and violent display, Starkiller unleashed a far more aggressive Force Push, which immediately sent Mewtwo hurdling back a few meters. But he was far from done, seeing that he was just slammed up against a now cracked wall. Starkiller used the Force to grab a piece of the wall and toss it toward Mewtwo. Immediately, the Genetic Pokémon knew it needed to act against this solid projectile.

Once again, with the power of its mind, Mewtwo grabbed hold of the giant boulder of stone and effortlessly tossed it to the side, suddenly, Mewtwo saw Starkiller was no longer where it had left him. Momentarily searching, Mewtwo located Starkiller on the platform below him, and just before casting another attack, Starkiller motioned his hands toward each other, as two large boulders from opposite ends of the room’s stone surfaces charged toward Mewtwo. Seeing them coming right for it, Mewtwo grabbed hold of them both using Psychic.

Before they could be crushed, thrown, or manipulated in any way, Starkiller followed up by tossing his two lightsabers at Mewtwo. The sound of the lightsabers spinning in the air and becoming louder alerted Mewtwo, who also grabbed them with Psychic. Containing all of the attacks, Mewtwo kept its cool, but Starkiller relentlessly continued his offensive. This time, he used the Force on the ceiling, causing the very foundation to begin collapsing. Mewtwo quickly abandoned the objects in its grip, and switched to evasive action, as more and more debris began to fall, eventually, the room could no longer hold its structural integrity, and the entire thing collapsed.

It was incredibly potent, as both Mewtwo and Starkiller had to abandon combat to survive. Once everything had finally finished crashing and breaking, the skies above were now in clear view, it was overcast, and thick clouds covered the entire horizon. The room that once stood had now been completely levelled. And it seemed like everything had been buried beneath the rubble. Just moments later, some of the rubble began to violently shake, becoming increasingly erratic before, eventually, they launched in several directions, creating a visible opening.

Jumping out, Starkiller touched down on the circular platform that was still intact. He looked around, seeing that the chasm was now filled to the brim with fallen debris and rocks. But he could not find the lifeform he noticed earlier, but despite that, Starkiller seemed to be actively looking for something. And after a couple of seconds, he noticed a faint red glow emerging between the cracks of some rocks. Starkiller, with a motion of his hand, used the Force to part the rocks.

Once the rocks were out of his way, Starkiller noticed that strange object he saw earlier, whatever it was, that lifeform was looking to harness it. Starkiller reached out with the Force and pulled the object to him. And inspected the item in his hand, it was shaped like a pyramid and had a crimson glow. Starkiller proceeded to raise his arm, to open the object, but just before his hand made contact, another eruption of debris caught his attention. Starkiller turned to where he heard the sound, and it was exactly as he expected, Mewtwo was still capable.

“I cannot let you take that”. Mewtwo warned. Its eyes turned blue, as the object escaped Starkiller’s grasp, and Mewtwo put it elsewhere, preventing Starkiller from reaching for it. “I don’t know what you're trying to gain from using it, but it’s no safer in your hands”. Starkiller protested. Seeing that this human was refusing to back down, Mewtwo added. “I know not what your intentions are, but you are stubborn, persistent, and very annoying”. With nothing more to add, Mewtwo used Psychic once again, this time, grabbing Starkiller and lifting him off the ground.

With the wave of its hand, Mewtwo tossed Starkiller to the ground, the remnants of the debris were simply too fragile to handle Starkiller’s mass crashing into it. And Starkiller sunk deeper and deeper into the rubble he had created not that long ago. Mewtwo watched things settle as it ceased its telekinetic control over Starkiller. Watching its surroundings, Mewtwo concluded its foe was no more, that it had succumbed to burial.

But all of a sudden, Mewtwo watched all the rubble, debris, and loose rocks begin to levitate and ascend into the air. “What?!” Mewtwo saw all of it rising into the sky, it knew that it wasn’t controlling these, and after considering the possibilities, Mewtwo very quickly figured out that it was Starkiller causing all this. And then Mewtwo heard an intense shout, it was able to catch the sight of Starkiller leaping out from the previously filled chasm and landing back on the platform. “I see that you will not fall so easily”.

Smirking, Starkiller commanded the horde of his projectiles to rain down upon Mewtwo, seeing that there were too many and Starkiller had complete control, Mewtwo took defensive measures, and activated Barrier, a blue sphere surrounding Mewtwo as it remained safe inside. All the projectiles charged toward Mewtwo’s barrier, and they all pressed up against Mewtwo’s Barrier. One by one, each and every piece formed around Mewtwo’s Barrier, and eventually, every last one of those projectiles completely surrounded Mewtwo, and it completely trapped Mewtwo within. Starkiller continued to push his projectiles into the Barrier, desperate to break through it.

Eventually, Mewtwo decided to bring an end to this and dropped its barrier. Mewtwo activated Psychic once again, quickly contesting Starkiller’s control, the two underwent a mental tug of war, both vying for their control to reign over the other. Starkiller then dropped his control of the projectiles as he reached for, and threw both his lightsabers, activating them just moments before throwing them. Now the domination mind-controlling the projectiles, Mewtwo tossed all the projectiles in an omnidirectional fashion, freeing it. Mewtwo then heard the humming of the lightsabers coming right at him.

With its mind, Mewtwo grabbed the lightsabers, suspending them in animation, and flung them back toward Starkiller, who leapt into the air, catching his lightsabers during his ascent and held them as if he was about to stab them both into Mewtwo. But once again, Mewtwo caught Starkiller with Psychic. And threw Starkiller to the platform below. Momentarily dazed, Starkiller needed a moment or two to recover. But as soon as his full clarity was restored, Mewtwo was close and was already preparing another attack.

Mewtwo conjured another Shadow Ball in its hands, and prepared it to launch directly at Starkiller, with his lightsabers deactivated, and he currently downed, Starkiller thought carefully. But Mewtwo didn’t grant much time at all, as it tossed the Shadow Ball toward Starkiller. Desperate, Starkiller used the Force to freeze the Shadow Ball in its place. Mewtwo persisted, making the Shadow Ball more and more difficult to resist, and Starkiller was beginning to experience said difficulty.

However, this was not something Starkiller couldn’t adapt to, Starkiller intensified his use of the Force, as he gave Mewtwo a direct glare, and with the arm that wasn’t holding back the projectile, he reached forward with it, and sparks began to coarse along his limb, Starkiller’s face began even sterner as he struck Mewtwo with Force Lightning. Manipulated into letting his guard down, Mewtwo felt the jolting pain strike his being. Unable to adequately keep his Shadow Ball going, Mewtwo was unable to prevent it from being redirected right back to its sender.

The Shadow Ball struck Mewtwo whilst the Force Lightning was still inflicting it. Now with both his hands-free, Starkiller amplified his use of Force Lightning, hitting Mewtwo with a ferocious display. The cumulative damage was beginning to take its toll on Mewtwo, and it needed to do something really soon. “Too much...” Mewtwo faintly thought. Starkiller was relentless, he continued his onslaught of Force Lightning, without even the slightest hint of mercy. With the danger of fainting becoming more and more likely, Mewtwo, while persevering through the Force Lightning, flew further away from Starkiller.

(Cue Explosive Chain Battle - Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle)

Soon enough, it was free, but Starkiller gave chase and sprinted across the room. Mewtwo stopped on the spot, while Starkiller charged toward it, ready to make a killing blow. A sudden blue light became visible, and it completely enveloped Mewtwo within, this caused Starkiller to stop on the spot. Mewtwo couldn’t be seen within, which made Starkiller resume charging toward it. After a couple of seconds, the blue flaming light dissipated, and something stood in Mewtwo’s place, only it looked different.

This being looked smaller, it did not possess a long tail. However, it had a long, purple curled appendage coming from the back of its head. There were two pointed spikes, which somewhat resemble ears, and just behind them, was some kind of ring-shaped design extruded from its head. Its eyes were red and looked a little larger than Mewtwo’s eyes. This was indeed Mewtwo, only it had taken itself to the next level, it had become Mega Mewtwo Y. Starkiller was reaffirmed this was his adversary and reignited his lightsabers once again.

Some light surrounded Mega Mewtwo Y as it began to look less fatigued and more replenished. By using Recover, Mega Mewtwo Y was able to restore a fair amount of health it had lost prior. Starkiller rushed toward Mega Mewtwo Y, but in an astonishing display of speed, Mega Mewtwo Y approached Starkiller, grabbed hold of him, and flew into the air. Immediately, Starkiller felt the intense amount of g-force, seeing that he was rising higher and higher into the sky. Seeing that an escape was going to be difficult. Starkiller tucked himself inward, as he began to gather the Force around him.

As their ascent continues to climb higher and higher into the atmosphere, Mega Mewtwo Y checked on Starkiller, and realized he was not resisting, but realized holding onto him for too much longer could be dangerous. And so decided to release Starkiller from his grasp, and almost immediately after his release. Starkiller roared a ferocious shout as he unleashed the Force outward like he was the source of an explosion. Moving back as quick as it could, Mega Mewtwo Y was able to avoid most of the initial blast radius, but it was ultimately caught and sent flying across the skies.

With quite a drop upon him, Starkiller spread his arms and legs out, helping him drop more slowly, Starkiller looked at his surroundings, and saw the island he investigated, and figured that was the safest place to land. He angled himself and allowed his descent to increase. Suddenly, Starkiller was struck by a Shadow Ball, which impacted him directly and set him on a different angle than he intended. He came hurtling down, and dropped into the ocean near the island. Mega Mewtwo Y arrived shortly after and inspected the water’s surface, he waited several moments, before arriving at the conclusion its foe had drowned.

Mega Mewtwo Y looked up and noticed that the skies had now become dark clouds, and thunder was beginning to erupt from the clouds. All of a sudden, Mega Mewtwo Y heard the sound of something making a splash. It turned around to see Starkiller had leapt out of the watery depths and landed on the nearby rocks. “You have shown the strength of your might, but this can go on no longer”, as it said this, Starkiller gave a quick response, “You are powerful, but now you must be destroyed!”.

Activating his lightsabers once again, Starkiller ascended quickly up the formation of rocks and onto a flat surface. Mega Mewtwo Y followed him and wasted no time launching an attack of its own, With a wave of its arm, Mega Mewtwo Y launched a bladed projectile toward Starkiller. Motivated by his inner emotions, Starkiller rushed toward Mewtwo, using his lightsabers to cut through the attack and continued closing the distance. Mega Mewtwo Y used Psychic once again, grabbing Starkiller. But this time, Starkiller refused to be bent to his opponent’s whims.

The fear… the hate… the anger… all of it boiled up inside Starkiller, and he was done being controlled or manipulated by anyone. Something snapped and he used an amplified Force Push, which sent Mega Mewtwo Y hurtling toward and breaking a rock pillar. Mega Mewtwo Y looked and saw Starkiller had a look of fury on his face. Starkiller had tapped into Force Fury. Wasting no time, he tossed his lightsabers toward Mega Mewtwo Y, and whilst they were travelling, Starkiller used Force Lightning on the blades, turning them into even more dangerous weapons.

They travelled towards Mega Mewtwo Y who used Psychic to stop them in their tracks, throwing them back to Starkiller, jumping over his own lightsabers, Starkiller turned that into an opportunity to strike Mega Mewtwo Y with Force Lightning again. This time, enhanced by his Force Fury. The skies above continued to storm, and lightning bolts struck the ground near them. Mega Mewtwo Y dropped to the ground, and desperately tried to protect itself, but Starkiller’s Force Lightning continued to overwhelm the Pokémon. Mega Mewtwo Y desperately tried to counterattack.

Whilst being struck by the Force Lightning, Mega Mewtwo Y conjured a Shadow Ball and tossed it toward Starkiller, he used his right arm to strike the Shadow Ball with Force Lightning, and very quickly, the Shadow Ball couldn’t overpower the Force Lightning, resulting in its destruction. And Starkiller concentrated the Force Lightning back on Mega Mewtwo Y. Who fell to one of its knees as Starkiller slowly approached. Eventually, Starkiller stopped his Force Lightning and used a Force Choke to grab hold of Mega Mewtwo Y. “You will no longer endanger the lives of anyone ever again!” Starkiller viciously threatened.

Struggling, Mega Mewtwo Y attempted to take action, but Starkiller used the Force to grab one of his lightsabers and hold it towards Mega Mewtwo Y’s throat, which changed its mind on attacking. Starkiller decided it was time to kill. Mega Mewtwo Y closed its eyes as Starkiller raised his lightsaber and prepared to swing down at Mega Mewtwo Y. He tightened the grip on his weapon as he swung his lightsaber down. But at that moment, a blue blade emerged from the centre of his torso. Shocked and immediately overcome by agonizing pain, Starkiller dropped his weapon to see his other lightsaber had been impaled through his back.

Mega Mewtwo Y opened its eyes to see it had successfully executed its tactic. Starkiller fell to the ground in front of Mega Mewtwo Y. With Starkiller fatally wounded and on the ground, Mewtwo released its control of the lightsaber. It looked over its fallen adversary and gave some final words, “I did not want to stop you, but you left me no choice, human”. Starkiller struggled to move, seeing Mega Mewtwo Y looking down on him. With the gravity of things being far too great, Starkiller stopped struggling.

Acknowledging the impending death of this human, Mega Mewtwo Y reached into his mind, and learned he was also a clone, and sought revenge. Mega Mewtwo Y heard a noise from above, it looked. An Imperial Star Destroyer appeared.

K.O.!

Conclusion[]

(Cue Battle! Mewtwo - Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon)

Boomstick: Wait, really?! With all that crazy power, Starkiller couldn’t pull it off?

Wiz: It can’t be understated that Mewtwo and Starkiller are both ridiculously powerful. With their telekinetic abilities and capability to overwhelm others with the sheer might of their improved genetics, when comparing these two to each other, both posed a serious threat.

Boomstick: Starkiller definitely had the training to go up against someone with telekinetic abilities, given that the OG Starkiller was trained by Vader to be an expert at killing Jedi. But Mewtwo is far more than just a simple Psychic-type Pokémon.

Popup: Force Lightning did present a legitimate threat to Mewtwo as none of its forms resist Electric-type moves.

Wiz: Mewtwo had one crucial advantage, its wider array of abilities. It had many offensive options but could fall back on defensive moves when needed, such as Recover, Barrier, and Counter. Starkiller, by comparison, is almost exclusively geared towards being an offensive powerhouse.

Boomstick: In terms of speed, Mewtwo was faster, given that it battled Deoxys, who moves and fights beings with Faster than Light speed capabilities. But Starkiller boasted some pretty quick speed feats himself. Such as keeping up with Vader, who stopped I-Five's lasers with the Force, which are specifically stated to travel at the speed of light.

Wiz: Fast, but not fast enough to keep up with Mewtwo, and while both had access to epic power boosts, Mewtwo’s Mega Evolutions trumped Starkiller’s Force Fury by being accessible for longer periods of time and far less taxing on its user.

Boomstick: And Mewtwo was also the better telepath. While both have shown they can dominate the minds of others, Mewtwo has shown far greater control. Being able to influence many more people at one time, and even erasing memories, which is more people than Starkiller, and abilities he can’t do himself.

Popup: Starkiller has not shown he can resist mind domination from other telepaths. Mewtwo has demonstrated it can influence human minds. As a result, it is entirely possible Mewtwo could mentally overwhelm Starkiller.

Wiz: Still, with his dangerous levels of raw power and incredible tenacity, Starkiller was an opponent Mewtwo could not take lightly. But with Mewtwo’s more balanced abilities, superior speeds, and vastly more impressive telepathic abilities, Mewtwo had the power to seize victory.

Boomstick: This epic battle sure Unleashed the awesome power they both possessed, but Mewtwo just had the right mindset to win.

Wiz: The winner is Mewtwo.
