History[]

Merry Nightmare is a dream demon and the gatekeeper between the human world and the dream world. Merry's job is to guard the gate between the two worlds, and does a terrific job at containing and suppressing dreams demons from crossing the gap.

Due to some unknown reasons, Merry ended up in the real world with no memories, and has wandered around for 10 years looking for a way to get back to her world. She later ended up meeting a human who has power to see the aura of other people's dreams, and later becomes Merry's partner in scouting out and subduing other dream demons that have crossed over the boundary.

Fists: In most of her encounters fighting other dream demons, Merry utilizes her fists, and sometimes kicks, against her aggressors.
Keychain: Merry possesses a keychain that, when it touches a dream demon, forces them back to the dream world without harming the vessel's dream. Merry can also detach the key to summon the Gate itself to suck in the dream demons around the vicinity back into the dream world.
Initial Attire: Merry wore a strange outfit consisting of a white overcoat, camisole undershirt, skirt, stripe stockings, a pair of black shoes, and a witch's hat with a close eye on the back.

Dream Demon (Special Type): Unlike other dream demons, Merry is unique, and doesn't need to possess a human to enter the real world, as she can manifest her own body in reality. Merry also has a unique ability that can detect other dream demons in the vicinity. And like all other Dream Demons, Merry also got her own garden (or domain) in the form of the "Gate" or the boundary door.
Gate Keeper: Merry also possesses the ability to send dream demons back to the Dreamworld. With just a touch, Merry can outright send a dream demon back to their place.
Dream Storming: As a dream demon, Merry has the ability to freely infiltrate daydreams and nightmares of others.
Domain Travel: As the gatekeeper to the dream world, Merry can enter, leave, and travel through any dream demons personal yard regardless of its occupants desires or its defenses.
Dream Eater: Merry has the power to dispel any dream demon's abilities with a touch. When enraged, Merry, with the use of her keys, can to destroy anything within a Garden, including the Garden itself, thus killing the master of the domain or the dream demon.
Longevity: Doesn't normally age. Retained her youth prior from meeting Yumeji when he was still a kid. Shows no sign of aging.
Berserk mode: Merry is generally nice and friendly as a person, but perhaps due to her innate demon trait, Merry has a tendency sometimes to lose her self-reasoning and restraint, making her quite violent in battle.

Close Quarters Combat Specialist: Despite her short stature, Merry is an extremely skilled fighter, and utilizes close combat as a means in fighting her foes.
Extremely Agile and Mobile: Perhaps Merry's greatest advantage is her quickness and speed. She's swift enough to react and evade her opponent's strikes, and frequently applies them in battle to gain the advantage.
Acrobatic: Flexible and versatile in battle. Merry is quite adept at spectacular gymnastic feats, and applies them during battle in dodging and avoiding her opponent's attacks.
Inhuman Strength: Don't let her short-stature fool you. Merry is quite stronger than she appears to be.
Inhuman Endurance: Despite looking seemingly fragile, Merry is pretty tough, and has great durability. She can withstood even the most fatal blows that would otherwise put others out of commission or outright kills them.

Flaws[]

Merry was fairly weakened from her true self as the "Gate Keeper" due to the countless dream demons that have crossed the Gate, while she was lost in the real world.
When the heart of her garden is destroyed, which is the "Gate", so is Merry.
Powerful nightmares similar to Heracles, could also resist her special touch.
Quite a bit careless and reckless, usually strikes her foes head-on.
Glass cannon. Usually goes offensive, lacking defense in battle.
Emotional, a bit stubborn, and is easily irritated.
