Mercedes "Mercy" Graves is a character from DC Comics. There have been three incarnations of the Mercy Graves character.

Mercy Graves first appeared in the DC Animated Universe, in the television show, Superman: The Animated Series, season 2, episode 14, Ghost in the Machine.
History[]
Mercy was born into poverty, and led a hard life. She became leader of a street gang, and one day she succeeded in stealing Lex Luthor’s briefcase. Lex was impressed by Mercy’s cunning and ability, and decided to take her under his wing. She became Luthor’s bodyguard, enforcer and problem solver. In spite of the fact that Luthor always treated her poorly, she became rather fond and very protective of him.
When Lex Luthor was sent to prison, Mercy took over the running of LexCorp, and proved herself to be a very astute businesswoman. After Luthor was pardoned, Mercy continued as CEO of LexCorp, and even played a role in his plan to ruin Superman’s reputation.
Appearance[]
This Mercy Graves has light brown hair and green eyes. Her preferred outfit is a black one-piece, long-sleeved but short-skirted chauffeur’s uniform, with matching hat, gloves and low high heel boots. She does not wear any sort of jewelry or any other accessory that would detract from the austerity of the dress.
New Earth[]
This Mercy Graves first appeared in Detective Comics #735 (August, 1999).
History[]
This Mercy Graves is of Amazonian origin, but whether she came from Themyscira or not is unknown. She was already making a name for herself with her fighting abilities when she was hired by President-elect Lex Luthor to be one of his two personal bodyguards, along with Hope, another Amazonian. After Lex lost his Presidency, Mercy stayed with him, right through his launching of the Everyman Project, to give superpowers to non-metahumans.
At one point, she joined the superhero team, Infinity, Inc., under the name “Vanilla.” When she nearly beat a man to death, she left the team, deciding that she could never really be a hero.
Appearance[]
This Mercy Graves has blonde hair and green eyes, but never appears in a chauffeur’s uniform. Her Preferred outfit while a member of Infinity, Inc. is a black-and-white costume, with a special mask that protects her identity, even from Superman.
DCEU[]
Mercy Graves appeared in the DC Extended Universe, in the 2016 movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
