Dr. Valencia Martinez donated the egg that would develop into Max to the company Itexicon to be studied. Throughout her early years of life, Max would spend her time preforming in painful and life threatening experiments and be kept in a literal dog crate. Until one day, Jeb Batchelder would rescue Max, along with five other mutant children, and take them into the mountains to hide from Itex. Eventually, Jeb dissapeared, pressumed dead. With that, Max was made the leader of the "flock".
