Interlude[]

The episode opens with the Death Battle transition card closing before opening again to reveal Drakkon leaping forwards, his helmet appearing over his head as he kicks Xehanort backwards and sends him flying, before it pauses and grays out as Ringmaster shouts…

“FIGHT!”

Wizard: Master Xehanort, the Dark Seeker.

Xehanort Intro Card (MSZX)

Boomstick: Lord Drakkon, the Ranger Conqueror.

Drakkon Intro Card (MSZX)

Wiz: You either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. But for these two dark destroyers of worlds, they never stopped thinking that they were the heroes of their own hunts for the Hearts of all Worlds.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a DEATH BATTLE!

Master Xehanort's Dark Road Leads to DEATH BATTLE![]

Xehanort's Dark Road comes to DEATH BATTLE!

Wiz: Long ago, on the lonely and isolated world of the Destiny Islands, there lived a young boy who longed to escape his prison by sea, to venture out and explore other worlds.

Boomstick: Unknown to him, this boy was destined for great things, and one day he would be the epicenter of the cosmic battle between the balance of good and evil! And if you think I’m talking about Sora, guess again. This is the story of Xehanort.

Wiz: Born in the world of Scala ad Caelum and descendant of the town's founder, Ephemer, Xehanort was sent away due to being believed to be the Child of Destiny who would go on to save the Realm of Light from being consumed by Darkness. Being raised on the Destiny Islands by a mysterious cloaked figure, Xehanort’s role as hero of prophecy eventually faded from his memory, and he soon longed to escape the islands he called home.

Boomstick: Then a second mysterious figure showed up and offered him a way out; all he had to do was step through this mysterious dark door. Totally no catches.

Xehanort Analysis Card (Background)

Wiz: This was a Corridor of Darkness, and would be Xehanort’s first exposure to the primordial force of, well… Darkness.

Boomstick: Right, because when Kingdom Hearts talks about Light and Darkness, it’s not the metaphorical sense. Light and Darkness are literally omnipresent forces of nature that exist within everything, kind of like The Force, and people with strong enough Hearts can cap into either or both of them to do crazy things.

Wiz: And by entering a Corridor of Darkness, which allows for passageway between Worlds, Xehanort took full contact with Darkness and all the side-effects that come with it… only to find himself fascinated by it all.

Boomstick: Surely that won’t have any unintended consequences later on.

Wiz: Eventually returning to Scala ad Caelum, Xehanort began training under a Keyblade Master named Odin alongside Eraqus, Bragi, Vor, Urd, Hermod, and Baldr, coming to see Eraqus specifically as a brother. Together they trained to become Keyblade Master’s, Guardians of Light who protected the worlds from Darkness.

Boomstick: And man, Keyblade’s are up there for coolest fictional weapons ever. I mean, these things are made from your Heart, are nearly unbreakable, can be used to cast all sorts of magic, and can unlock nearly anything. Chests, doors, people…death-

Wiz: Through his Keyblade can use an assortment of classic Final Fantasy spells like Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga, Curaga, and the destructive Flare. But Xehanort does not simply rely on basic magic, for he can freeze people with a very touch and formchange his Keyblade into anything, most commonly a whip. Plus, if he’s ever disarmed, he can re-summon it to his hand automatically.

Xehanort Analysis Card (Arsenal)

Boomstick: But as time went on, Xehanort began to question the nature of Light and Darkness. Eventually, through the deaths of all of his classmates save for Eraqus at the hands of those corrupted by Darkness, Xehanort ironically… found comfort and strength in it. Unlike others, he could control his Darkness, and use it just as, if not more effectively than his Light. Eventually, he came to believe that Light had a tyranny over Darkness, further reinforced when the Master of Master’s himself came down to give Xehanort some advice on how to command his Darkness.

Wiz: Becoming disillusioned with the "false light" of the world, Xehanort passed his Mark of Mastery exam to become a true Keyblade Master, all the while he secretly began to study the ancient Keyblade War  over the fabled Kingdom Hearts that took place over a millennium ago. During this time, he inherited the No Name Keyblade, which once belonged to the Master of Master’s, before finally becoming one with the Darkness. Decades passed, and as Xehanort’s power grew, so too did his ambitions, until finally, he concocted a Master plan. He would summon Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds, and wipe the slate clean. He would completely remake the universe in his image, truly balanced between Light and Darkness, with neither overshadowing the other.

Boomstick: Just one problem. In the time it took for him to do all the research necessary to learn about it all and formulate a damn plan… he’d gotten old. Too old.

Wiz: So, Xehanort set out with a plan to not just summon Kingdom Hearts, but also to acquire a new body, a new vessel to wield Kingdom Hearts with.

Boomstick: And he went about this in hand dandy six step plan! Step one; kidnap time displaced boy Ventus and take him on as your apprentice. Step two, split his Heart in half and extract the primordial Darkness inside it. Name is Vanitas for good measure. Step three, leave Ventus with Eraqus, Terra, and Aqua. Step four, manipulate Eraqus’s other student Terra to make him succumb to the Darkness. Step five, make Ventus and Vanitas fight to forge the x-Blade. And step six, extract your own Heart from your body and Nort Terra. Congratulations, you have now summoned Kingdom Hearts and attained eternal youth.

Wiz: This began a long, long line of Xehanort creating various separate versions of himself. This gets complicated quickly. So, up until now we’ve been talking about Xehanort’s liner story, but things are about to get very complicated, very quickly, starting with Xehanort’s possession of Terra. This created the being known as Terra-Xehanort, or as he’s more commonly known in the Kingdom Hearts community, Terranort. Terranort is made up of Terra's body with Xehanort’s Heart and Mind overwriting Terra’s, but Terra’s will was so strong that his mind inhabited an empty suit of armor and his Heart was able to fight back from within. These two things combined caused Xehanort to ultimately lose his fight with Aqua and develop amnesia, where he was then taken in by the scientist known as Ansem the Wise.

Boomstick: But he got memories back eventually, right?

Wiz: (quickly and enthusiastically) He DID! But when he did, he started performing experiments on both himself and Ansem’s other apprentices, and random kid’s off the street! Eventually he started doing experiments on Heartless, and finally, overthrew his Master and banished him to the Realm of Darkness before then stealing his name for his own. Then he summoned his Keyblade and plunged it through all the apprentices, splitting their Hearts away from their bodies before doing the same to himself so he could become two people!

Boomstick: For those not in the loop, when somebody’s Heart has been consumed by Darkness, they become a Heartless, and the empty body left behind is called a Nobody. Yeah, they’re named ironically. Nomura was definitely trolling us with that one.

Wiz: Usually you lose all sense of self when becoming either a Heartless or a Nobody, but Xehanort’s will was so great that both his Heartless and his Nobody retained their individuality and went about forging Kingdom Hearts in different ways. Now assuming the name Ansem, his Nobody got all the Nobodies from the other apprentices to join with him and create Organization 13, which would gather all the Hearts they could to create an Artificial Kingdom Hearts. Meanwhile, his Heartless, Ansem the Seeker of Darkness, traveled back in time to meet Xehanort’s past self and give him time travel powers. But since you can’t Time Travel to a period of time where you already exist, Ansem had to cast off his body and become a shadowy cloak man, which is why he later needed to possess Riku to get his body back. Ansem then gathered Six Disney Princesses, plus Kairi, in hopes of using their Pure Hearts to create a path to ANOTHER Kingdom Hearts known as the Door to Darkness!!!!

Boomstick: This… is starting to get complicated.

Wiz: IT IS! See, Ansem and Xemnas both got defeated by Sora, which brought Master Xehanort back. BUT, his Time Traveling Younger Self started hopping around the Timeline, collecting the Hearts of all the different Xehanort incarnations so they could all exist in one point in time by possessing Replica Bodies and create the TRUE ORGANIZATION 13! (inhales sharply, then falls over)

Boomstick: …Damn you Tetsuya Nomura!

Xehanort Analysis Card (Vessels)

Boomstick: Well anyways, my favorite Xehanort is definitely Xemnas. He’s got the super cool deep soothing voice, shoots freaking lighting from his hands, and he’s got those sick ass Ethereal Blades that he even passed on to Young Xehanort! Oh Royalty-Free Lightsabers my beloved, how I love you.

Wiz: (getting back up) Well, I would say the best one was Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, with his less direct approach to fighting compared to his counterparts and control over the Dark Guardian, the vessel which Xehanort uses to contain Terra’s Heart, which he can even fuse with to become a giant…thing. Though there is an argument to be made that Young Xehanort is the most dangerous, with his unique Keyblade and the ability to rewind time itself.

Boomstick: Either way, the Council of Nort’s were able to successfully bait and defeat Sora, the ultimate good boy protagonist who could shoot laser beams to the moon faster than light and had individually defeated Ansem and Xemnas. This was because Xehanort was going to put a fragment of his Heart inside Sora’s and turn him evil, but he ended up getting saved by Riku and good ol Mickey Mouse! So they made a tactical retreat, grabbed a bunch of guys from the original Organization 13 to fill out the ranks of the new one, and had one big war between Light and Darkness.

Wiz: Notably, during the War between Light and Darkness, Sora’s sorta Nobody Roxas was able to emerge from Sora’s body and make a round trip from the Keyblade Graveyard to Radiant Garden and back in about 5 seconds. This feat of speed is astronomically complicated, so let’s break it down.

Boomstick: So in KH3 the different Disney world’s are separated into Star Systems, and Radiant Garden is outside of said systems. So we calc that distance and get 170 million times Light Speed. Since Xemnas reacted to this and dodged the impact of Roxas’s landing, that’s Xehanort’s top speed, right? WRONG! IT’S WAY FASTER THAN THAT!

Wiz: To simplify it all down, the Kingdom Hearts Cosmology is made of three distinct realms; the Realm of Light, the Realm of Darkness, and the Realms Between. Technically there are sub-realms like the Sleeping Worlds, but that’s a whole other can of worms. These three Realms act in balance with each other, much as the forces of Light and Darkness do. Within the Realm of Light, Stars in the sky aren’t just regular stars, but the Hearts of whole other Worlds. This is a major plot point in Kingdom Hearts 1, and directly stated by Terra in Birth by Sleep.

Boomstick: Plus, all the different worlds have different flows of time. It’s hinted at in KH1 and 2, but directly confirmed in Dream Drop Distance by that bastard Joshua, and later elaborated on by Xehanort in Dark Road. Thing is, we know every individual world has regular celestial bodies like the Sun, Moon, Stars, all that jazz. Plus, while all Worlds in Kingdom Hearts are surrounded by barriers of Gummi Blocks, the Lilo and Stitch World in BBS confirms that multiple solar systems and galaxies can exist within a single world.

Xehanort Analysis Card (Feats)

Wiz: All that leads to one popular conclusion; that “Worlds” in Kingdom Hearts aren’t just planets, but whole miniature Universes within a larger Multiverse. This even lines up with Xehanort’s own reports, where he directly states that the Ocean Between, the name for the space in which worlds of the Realm of Light reside, is infinite in size. All this to say, Roxas isn’t just leaping across planets, he’s leaping across an infinite Multiverse and back in the literal blink of an eye. There’s no possible number that can be put on this, there’s no definition of speed that can describe it.

Boomstick: And remember, Xemnas dodged the landing of the guy who round-tripped the multiverse in seconds. Xehanort scales to this shit! Especially once he finally got what we wanted and forged the x-Blade that controlled Kingdom Hearts! With it, Xehanort had the ability to not only strip the Light of someone as pure as Sora, but he could rewrite the past, present, and future of all reality. Not just for the Realm of Light, but the equally sized Realm of Darkness and the Realms Between.

Wiz: Xehanort himself without the x-Blade or Kingdom Hearts was even able to cast the World of the Land of Departure into Darkness, the equivalent of destroying a whole Universe, and even block and overpower Mickey’s Ultima with Stopza, a spell which completely halts the flow of time itself. Despite every attempt, he’s trounced Sora on a few occasions, matched and overpowered the likes of Riku, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra, and continued to puppet both his enemies and allies around on strings for ages.

Boomstick: Until, Sora finally stepped up and faced him down in the battle of the ages, the ultimate clash of Light and Darkness. And in the end… Sora triumphed over the old man, and with an appearance from the Force Ghost of Eraqus, Xehanort finally relented that even if he genuinely thought it was for the best, he couldn’t play god with all reality.

Wiz: Though Xehanort bequeathed the x-Blade to Sora and departed the mortal realm to become one with Kingdom Hearts, he didn’t accept that his view was wrong, only that Sora’s will and Heart was stronger than his own. Xehanort didn’t suffer a change of Heart in the end, merely died knowing that those stronger than him would continue to watch over all the Realms. But even then, the scars he left upon the cosmos will never truly be forgotten.

Lord Drakkon Shatters the Grid of DEATH BATTLE![]

Drakkon Shatter's the Grid of DEATH BATTLE!

Wiz: Behold the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, hero’s with a Power and a Force like you’ve never seen before. With their Dinozord’s and Megazord, they managed to overcome every monster, trial, and tribulation that the vile witch Rita Repulsa sent their way. So, she decided to make her own by brainwashing the good-natured Tommy Oliver into becoming her Green Ranger.

Boomstick: Now Green with Evil, Tommy proceeded to absolutely wreck the Ranger’s shit in every counter. Luckily, Rita didn’t smart much and hinged the entire mind control spell on a completely breakable sword that she sent Tommy into battle with. Naturally, Red Ranger Jason broke it.

Wiz: But this is where the story differs from the norm. While in not just the Prime Universe, but every reality in the Multiverse, Tommy Oliver joined the Power Rangers and became a fighting force for good. But in one single alternate universe, something different happened. In a panic, he ran away from the Rangers, fleeing all over the place as he tried to get some peace of mind. He had no home, no family, and no friends. That is, until Rita approached him once more, and this time, seduced Tommy to her side once through brainwashing, but cunning and manipulation.

Drakkon Analysis Card (Background)

Boomstick: The Evil Green Ranger persited in this world well after he should have, becoming stronger and stronger than the other Rangers. It got so bad that Zordon had to call in the likes of Ninjor, the Phantom Ranger, the Blue Senturion, and the Alien Rangers of Aquitar, all because Tommy was kicking their asses so badly.

Wiz: Until came the day which would come to be known as the "The Fall of the Power Rangers." Rita’s forces launched a full invasion on the Command Center, decemating and overwhelming the Heroes. As the battle raged outside, Tommy broke into the Command Center while Zordon was trying to turn Jason into the White Rangers. In turn, Tommy slew both Jason and Zordon, taking the power for himself, fusing it with the Green Ranger powers. What emerged from the Command Center was something far worse.

Boomstick: This was the birth of Lord Drakkon. Drakkon went on a rampage, killing Billy and the Alien Rangers before then establishing a totalitarian dictatorship of Earth in Rita’s name… only to then kill Rita as well because he had realized that she would only ever hold him back from here, and that it was time for him to finish what she started.

Wiz: And Drakkon certainly has the ability to crush any opposition. Thanks to his hybrid form of the Green and White Mighty Morphin Rangers, he not only has the usual strength and speed boost that all Rangers get, but the power he draws from the Morphing Grid is doubled.

Boomstick: Which is pretty crazy, because Prime Universe White Ranger Tommy could fly to the farthest Galaxy away from the Earth at over 21 Trillion times the Speed of Light, and Drakkon is twice that fast!

Wiz: And should it be necessary, he can crush most other Power Rangers in a straight fight, especially since he has all of the Prime World Tommy’s skill and experience, just without any of the pesky morals and feelings holding him back. If that’s not enough though, he’s also dabbled in mystic arts, able to brainwash others like his world Kimberly, turning her into his evil Ranger Slayer. And thanks to possessing the White Ranger’s powers, Drakkon can resist being corrupted and controlled by beings of darkness like Dark Specter.

Boomstick: Plus he’s got all the Evil Green Ranger’s standard stuff like one-off Hadoken, projectile reflecting shield, and the Dragon Dagger, which he can channel energy into for sword beams! But if that wasn’t enough he also has the White Ranger’s weapon Saba, the talking flying sword who shoots lasers and controls Zords. Though since Saba had a conscience and fucking hated Drakkon, Drakkon killed him, then had Saba’s conscience removed and the sword itself updated with an extending blade, the ability to steal other Ranger’s powers, and the ability to help cross through dimensions. But why would he need that?

Drakkon Analysis Card (Arsenal)

Wiz: Because as Drakkon’s power grew, he began to hunger for more. But more than that, despite reveling in murder and death, as he peered into the abyss of the Multiverse, he saw no other Tommy Oliver’s like himself. Despite all of the power he had amassed, all the blood he had spilled, he was still cold, and alone. So, Drakkon began a multiversal rampage. He literally shattered the Morphin Grid, causing the various era’s of the prime Power Rangers timeline to be splintered off into smaller sub-worlds, and with it, he led his army of Ranger Centuries through dimensions, taking their powers for his own. And he started it all off by murdering Tommy, the one so often looked to as the rallying point by all other teams.

Boomstick: And if the pesky Zord’s of any of those Rangers got in his way, Drakkon just busted out his own Zord, the Black Dragon. This Goliath of a Zord is equipped not just for battling Megazords, but its size changing abilities means it can trounce individual Rangers as well with its phase blasters and Ranger power stealing abilities. Plus, it’s strong enough to send Prime Tommy flying across the Command Center simply by backhanding him, and it’s capable of firing a shockwave of energy from its mouth that would have killed the Mighty Morphin gang if Kimberly hadn’t stopped it.

Wiz: Drakkon’s thirst for power didn’t stop there though. He tore through dimensions and stole the powers of various Rangers. His first target was nobody’s favorite Team, the Samurai Rangers, which he merged into his own as a test run, creating his first Evolved state, which was strong enough to take the SPD Shadow Ranger down in one punch. Afterwards, he also claimed the powers from the Dino Charge, In Space, Jungle Fury, Dino Thunder, and Zeo Rangers, which he used to create his second Evolution. Later on, he also added on powers from the RPM, Megaforce, Lost Galaxy, and Operation Overdrive teams as well.

Boomstick: At this point he was so strong, he took down the entire RPM team and second Red Samurai Ranger Lauren Shiba with a single attack. Hell, later he tanked a combined assault from the Lunar Wolf Ranger, Megabattle Armor Quantum Ranger, Super Mode Red Samurai Ranger, Trans-Armor Cycle Red Lightspeed Ranger, and the Mighty Morphin' Red Ranger, all without a scratch, and then one-shot all of them.

Wiz: However, for all of his power, Drakkon had one serious weakness. Not just his megalomaniac personality, obsession over power, murderous tendencies, and god-complex-

Boomstick: Get to the point Wiz.

Wiz: Fine. Basically, every individual Power Ranger can draw on so much power from the Morphing Grid, so as to not overload them with too much energy. However, since Drakkon has artificially infused himself with powers from pretty much every team minus the two that didn’t exist when the comic was being written, Drakkon’s body began to break down from being so overloaded with power. It got to the point where his body was almost failing him as a result of trying to support all these power sets. In the end though, Drakkon chose to overload himself even further, draining all remaining Ranger Powers he didn’t already have, plus reusing the ones he already had, allowing him to enter his Final Evolution.

Boomstick: With the ultimate Power Ranger born, Tommy was able to enter the Morphin Grid itself and attain the power of The Heart of a Morphing Master. For those not in the know, Morphing Masters are basically nigh-omnipotent beings who created the powers used by various other teams. With the Heart of the Master, Drakkon proceeded to look into the entire multiverse… and annihilate all of it with a wave of his finger.

Wiz: And this isn’t Power Rangers first foray into the multiverse either. Between the 1995 Movie, the 2017 Movie, all the older comic runs, the naturally existing parallel worlds in the show like the evil Ninja Storm Ranger, and the worlds of the RPM and Dino Charge Rangers. Plus, considering every Season of the Prime Timeline had been splintered off into its own dimension, there likely truly was an infinite amount of worlds out there…

Boomstick: And Drakkon erased all of it. With the wave of a finger. Kinda sucks that after remaking reality in his image, all he used the Heart of the Master for was to become the most generic flying brick ever.

Drakkon Analysis Card (Feats)

Wiz: Well there may have been one reason. See, the Heart of the Master requires one to have a calm, steady, and disciplined mind. And even disregarding all of his ego, all of his murderous rampages and thirst for more and more power, Drakkon is still just a cold, lonely, pitiful man who couldn’t accept that he was truly alone in the Multiverse. He rejected every offer for companionship, mentorship, friendship ever given to him by Zordon, the Rangers, Rita, and even every other version of himself throughout the Multiverse. He was the only Tommy who was alone, because every other Tommy embraced the Rangers, finding friendship and love through it.

Boomstick: And even after remaking reality into a single world where he was the only Ranger with Godlike Superman powers, the ghost of Tommy still haunted him, preying into his insecurities until finally, Tommy could regain his physical form and reclaim the Heart of the Master from Drakkon and destroying his idealized universe, restoring the Morphing Grid back to normal. But even then, as Tommy offered Drakkon his hand so Drakkon could also escape this collapsing universe, Drakkon STILL insisted on staying in his dying world and disappeared with it…  Or so you'd think, if you didn't know a thing about merchandising!!

Wiz: Miraculously, Drakkon survived the death of a Universe around him, and returned to the Prime Universe during the time period of MMPR Season 2, seemingly to warn the Rangers of an incoming being called the Empyreals. In truth however, he had made a bargain with them, delivering the Rangers to the Empyreals so he could get his Morpher back. While there were a few instances where he aided the Rangers afterwards who continued to reach out and offered him a chance at redemption, everything he did was motivated purely by a desire to return to his world and rule it once more.

Boomstick: Which included helping them fight the evil Dark Specter, who had personally infected and began to corrupt the Morphing Grid itself. During which, Drakkon did something nobody would have expected… and gave up his own life to save his world’s Kimberly from not just from Dark Specter’s control, but from his own as well, even urging her to ensure that Dark Specter lost by entrusting with her the power of the White Light of Goodness, and the White Ranger.

Wiz: While it’s truly debatable if Drakkon ever actually desired redemption in the end, or if even this sacrifice came this was all from his selfishness and ego, perhaps it truly was an act of selflessness. Perhaps on his deathbed, even the sole evil Tommy Oliver in the Multiverse sought the friendship that his Prime counterpart had gotten his entire life.

Boomstick: That’s sweet and all Wiz, but that doesn’t erase all the blood he’s spilled and scars he left to finally heal. Lord Drakkon’s legacy will always be that of the greatest enemy the Power Rangers ever faced.

Pre-Fight[]

DEATH BATTLE![]

[Lord Drakkon’s Throne Room]

“And so you see, the Key to a reality lies in the clash of Light and Darkness.”

Amidst the ruins of Lord Drakkon’s throne room, the tyrannical Power Ranger sat upon his throne, helmet discarded as the parallel Tommy Oliver listened to the strange visitor who had come to his world claiming to be in search of something called Kingdom Hearts. Although Drakkon had thought this may be another name for that which he seeked, the Heart of a Morphing Master, as the traveler continued to describe it, he knew clear as day that it was something separate.

Still, the words of this man intrigued Drakkon, for better or for worse. He definitely seemed to be offering himself as a potential ally, but one could never be too careful after all.

Drakkon: Get to your point. What are you after?

And to that, the man in the black coat slid his hood backwards, revealing the dark tanned skin, golden eyes, and white hair of a young man barely in his teens, barely older than most Power Rangers.

Young!Xehanort: Don’t you see? Your Heart is filled with Darkness, Lord Drakkon. Join me, together we can create Kingdom Hearts, and make a world truly free from the tyranny of those such as both Zordon, and Rita.

For a moment, Drakkon almost seemed to consider the offer…

Before he suddenly blasted forwards, and his helmet appeared over his head as he kicked Xehanort backwards and sent him flying across the throne room.

Drakkon: You have been warned; I do not make alliances. I rule, and all bow before me.

Xehanort however, just bruised some dust from his coat as he summoned his Keyblade.

Young!Xehanort: Hmm, suit yourself. I have other ways of getting what I need from you.

Xehanort vs Drakkon Sprite Render

Running forwards, Drakkon drew the Dragon Dagger and swung the weapon with aim to kill, clashing it against Xehanort’s Keyblade as the two began to dart all around the throne room, sparks flying with each offensive strike that both of them made. The Young Xehanort, parrying attacks from the mad Power Ranger, suddenly flips backwards and formaches his Keyblade into a whip to attack from afar while Drakkon begins to deflect the whip strikes.

But the strikes started speeding up, breaking Drakkon’s defenses while slashing against the shield on his chest. In response, he summoned Saba into his other hand, duel wielding the two blades to defend against Xehanort’s strikes more before surging energy through them both and firing beams out to push Xehanort off the offensive, sending the Keyblade wielder stumbling backwards. Using that chance, Drakkon leaped across his throne room and landed a slash on Xehanort’s chest, comboing it into a one-two punch before bringing his leg around for a solid kick to the abdomen that knocked the world traveler to the ground.

That, however, was not enough to fell Xehanort so easily.

Getting back up off the ground, Xehanort raised his Keyblade and fired out a Firaga that Drakkon blocked, but it allowed him to suddenly appear behind the Power Ranger and grab him with one hand, afflicting more Darkness upon the Drakkon that sent him flying into a nearby wall before Xehanort forms changed his Keyblade into a whip again and grabbed the other arm to drag him around the room, sending him crashing into things as he did.

Growling beneath his breath however, Drakkon suddenly grabbed the whip wrapped around his arm and yanked on it, making Young Xehanort stumble forwards before getting fully pulled through the air. But just as Drakkon was about to shove his fist through Xehanort’s skull, he was left to gasp in surprise as Xehanort suddenly completely disappeared from his field of view.

Drakkon: What!? Where did you go?

Suddenly, a hand was placed on his shoulder from behind.

Young!Xehanort: Right here.

Drakkon gasped again and spun around, slashing Saba through the air only to see nobody there, only echoing laughter filling the halls of his throne room. Suddenly, Young Xehanort formed in the room before him, several hooded copies of himself appearing beside him and summoning their Ethereal Blades before rushing forwards, and Drakkon as well to stall them.

The first one he met, Drakkon engaged in a simple tussle of blades, only for a second copy to kick him backwards while a third leaped into the air and fired an X Shot out at him, the cross-shaped energy wave pushing him backwards. But Drakkon was not deterred, and charged straight into the fray as he slashed through one copy with the Dragon Dagger before stabbing the second through the chest with Saba, then letting go of both weapons as he performed a lethal three-hit kata on the next clone he could get his hands on.

Across the room, two more Xehanort clones fired out their Ethereal Blades as spark shots, but Drakkon simply leaped across the trophy displays of his throne room to kick one in the face before grabbing the other, dealing a solid punch to its face before kicking it across the air with a Genocide Cutter. But no matter how hard he kept fighting, more Xehanort copies kept coming, and he kept beating them back harder and harder. So, Drakkon beat one back and leaped off another, jumping straight at Young Xehanort as he threw a punch at him.

But Xehanort weaved past it, swinging his Keyblade to counter Drakkon’s punches and kicks, but when he went to strike a counter attack Drakkon threw his fist forwards to punch the Keyblade and stall the attack, only to then grab the Keyblade itself.

Drakkon: You will not live to see the end of this day!

Young!Xehanort: Hmm, I doubt that.

Teleporting out of Drakkon’s grasp, Young Xehanort got behind the Power Ranger and raised his Keyblade, letting the attack power up before he fired out the Mega Flare. But Drakkon didn’t falter at the attack coming his way, and surged his Morphin Grid power together into a nexus of white and green, before finally turning the energy black and fired as he fired it outwards.

Young!Xehanort: Mega Flare!

Drakkon: Black Dragon Wave!

The two attacks collided in the center of the room, clashing for several seconds before ultimately combining together and detonating in one large explosion, sending both fighters flying backwards, with Drakkon crashing into a nearby wall while Xehanort braced his landing against Drakkon’s throne. For a moment things seemed to be calming down with both fighters taking a second to pause and catch their breaths, but the moment Drakkon saw Xehanort upon his throne, he snapped and ran forwards. Seeing Drakkon approach him, Xehanort quickly cast Thundaga out to blast his opponent backwards, but Drakkon grabbed the Dragon Dagger off the ground and played the weapon’s flute to create a shield around himself, deflecting the lightning attacks before he lunged through the air like a furious tiger.

Xehanort ducked out of the way in response, dashing to the side to avoid being hit as he formchanged his Keyblade into whip form and slashed it a few times, Drakkon deflecting the attacks before throwing several energy waves of his own out from the Dragon Dagger and Saba, forcing Xehanort to deflect the attacks before he threw out his Zero Shot, scattering a large number of projectiles about the room that Drakkon dodged, at the cost of seeing his throne be obliterated.

However, at this point, Xehanort only seemed to be finding a growing disinterest in the fight at hand as he turned around and opened a Corridor of Darkness and began to depart the battlefield by walking through it. And when Drakkon saw that, he began to growl in fury as he started to charge across his throne room and raised the Dragon Dagger to strike at Xehanort.

Drakkon: Where are you going!?

Just as Drakkon was about to strike Xehanort however, the young man disappeared into thin air, leaving Drakkon to fall through the Corridor of Darkness as the young man’s voice taunted him.

“I’ll leave you to the other. He will be your opponent.”

Drakkon had no time to figure out what that cryptic phrase meant, as he found himself exiting the other side of the portal and, to his surprise, coming out in an empty badlands devoid of life or civilization. Just emptiness to be found around him. The Power Ranger looked around a few times… before he noticed someone standing away with his back to him. Someone in a mostly brown get-up, both silver-white hair that he recognized.

Drakkon: There you are!

The man then turned around, and though he looked different, Drakkon’s gut told him this was the same man.

Terra-Xehanort: Ah, welcome Lord Drakkon. A shame it is not on better terms.

Drakkon: I seek not your comradery! I shall rule alone by my strength!

Terra-Xehanort: So you say, but without the ability to channel the Darkness in your Heart, you can never truly defeat me.

Drakkon: Darkness? What are you talking about?

Terra-Xehanort: Don’t you see, Darkness is the Heart’s true essence. All things begin in Darkness, and so to do they end in Darkness. The Heart is no different. In the end, everything returns to the Darkness from whence it came.

Drakkon: …then I shall return you to your Darkness!

Drakkon suddenly blasted across the battlefield, swinging Saba into a clash as Xehanort summoned the No Name Keyblade to clash against Drakkon.

Terra-Xehanort: Have it your way!

Drakkon: Enough words out of you!

Terra-Xehanort suddenly brought his Keyblade down, forcing Drakkon to jump backwards as he swung Saba and the Dragon Dagger to fire out multiple slashes of Morphing Grid at Xehanort. In response, Xehanort simply charged straight through the weaker attacks as he ran in close and grabbed Drakkon by the face of his helmet, lifting the Ranger upwards and force-slamming him back into the ground with enough force to create an impact crater. Growling in anger, Drakkon brought his legs in and kicked upwards, kicking Terranort in the face to knock him backwards while backflipping to get back on his feet, then charging forwards to unleash a flurry of high-speed flashes with his twin blades.

But Xehanort reacted quickly and was fast enough to swing his No Name Keyblade to parry each strike, the two reaching an impasse of strength as the shockwaves of their collision pushed the two fighters away, with Drakkon having to stab his blades into the ground to halt his momentum. As Terra-Xehanort reached his stop, however, he looked back up towards Drakkon and grinned as he raised his Keyblade above his head, and then stabbed it into the ground with the force needed to cause an earthquake, causing the ground below them to begin fragmenting and shattering, before an explosion suddenly sent Drakkon flying into the air along with a ton of rubble.

Then, Terra-Xehanort smirked as he clutched his free hand tightly.

Terra-Xehanort: Come guardian!

The Guardian then came into existence, materializing behind Xehanort and punching two rocks out of the air to send them towards Dakkon as projectiles, then grabbing a third one and throwing it as well. Seeing the projectiles coming his way, Drakkon proceeded to leap off of one of the rocks in the air, using that momentum to go flying towards Xehanort as he slashed through the three sets of projectile rocks coming at him. Finally, getting in close, Drakkon swung his two weapons down in an x-shape, only for them to clash against the Guardians fist with a shockwave that hurled him backwards once again.

Of course, Drakkon landed on his feet and looked back upwards, the lens of his helmet shining with murderous intent as the Guardian flew back at him and began barrage him with a series of punches, which Drakkon responded to in kind as he countered each one with a swing of his two blades. Parrying the Guardians' attacks, Drakkon almost managed to move onto the offensive and attack the Dark Figure when he suddenly had to leap backwards and avoid a downwards slash of Xehanort’s Keyblade, and together the two of them began to assault Drakkon with a rapid series of attacks.

Credit where it was due, when pushed on the defensive, Drakkon managed to hold his own well against the two targets, but even then it was clear he could not hold both off together. And eventually, the Guardian unleashed several chains from its body that wrapped around Drakkon’s right arm to hold him still so that Xehanort could land a full Keyblade combo on him. Then, the Guardian proceeded to raise Drakkon into the air and start swinging him around via the chains on his arm, slamming him into the ground repeatedly before raising him back into the air so that Xehanort could unleash Dark Volly, firing a barrage of multiple darkness shots that began to overwhelm Drakkon and send him crashing back onto the ground.

Just as The Guardian raised it’s hand to strike again though, a strange lighting suddenly surrounded Drakkon, before an explosion of energy blasted the Guardian away and forced Terra-Xehanort into a defensive position, as Drakkon suddenly transformed into his second Evolved state. Standing back onto his feet, a new sense of murderous venom suddenly dripped from his voice as he glared at Xehanort with a killer's intent.

Drakkon: You will not live to see the end of this day.

Terra-Xehanort: Wrong. I will guide you to the depths of Darkness.

In response, Drakkon suddenly disappeared in a burst of white and green lighting, and reappeared right in Xehanort’s face before the shockwave of wind caught up to him due to his sheer speed, before he violently punched Xehanort straight in the gut with a ferocious right-jab. With a growl of sheer rage, Drakkon began pummeling further on Xehanort with a combo of martial arts moves, striking him with precise but powerful punches before drawing backwards and unleashing a double kick Genocide Cutter once again to launch Xehanort’s body into the air…

Drakkon: Now DIE!

Before resummoning his two bladed weapons into his hands and waited until Terra-Xehanort was right in front of him, then unleashed a massive charged up X-shaped slash that sent Xehanort flying backwards and crashing into the side of one of the badlands cliffs, leaving a noticeable scar upon Terra’s body and Xehanort groaning in pain as he began to stand back up.

Of course, while Xehanort looked down at the blood which dripped down onto his hand, the ringing in the Keyblade Master’s ears was still nothing compared to the vile laughter of the Power Ranger in front of him.

Drakkon: Had enough? Or must I continue to remind you of my superiority?

Chuckling in response, Terra-Xehanort stood back up, still holding his No Name Keyblade, and only began to smirk back at Lord Drakkon. Instead of answering him, Xehanort turned his Keyblade around and aimed the bladed tip towards himself, before plunging the weapon forward and piercing his own chest with it. Even Drakkon was caught off guard and surprised by the motion, even more so when a pillar of Darkness began to expunge from Xehanort’s body and start shooting into the sky, as if the motion had suddenly made him even more powerful.

Terra-Xehanort: Now… you will see the full strength of the Darkness!

And then, as he threw his arms outwards, Terra-Xehanort’s body was ripped to shreds by the Darkness he had summoned, ripping the ground around him apart as Darkness itself began overtaking and corrupting the Badlands around Drakkon, who raised one hand as he literally watched the mountains around him get ripped apart and the ground around him terraform and shape away…

Until a light began to shine down on him from above. Drakkon looked up, and even he was in slight awe at the sight above him. A massive Heart, floating in the sky with a shining blue radiance.

Drakkon: What is that…?

???: So, you have come this far and still you understand nothing.

Drakkon suddenly turned back around, finding a man floating there with a peculiar symbol above his chest. The man looked similar to Terra-Xehanort, but just different enough to be distinct in his own way.

Drakkon: You… are Xehanort…?

Ansem: It is I, Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness.

???: How long has it been since I abandoned that name…

Just then, a second figure walked out behind Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness. A man wearing the same count the Young Xehanort was wearing, which he pulled back to reveal another similar, yet different face of his own.

Xemnas: Do not forget that you, Lord Drakkon, are not so very different from us.

Drakkon: I am NOTHING like you! And I will prove it!

Xemnas: Hmmph… we shall see.

And with that, Xemnas flexed his right palm, and his red Ethereal Blade hissed to light with a violent cry.

In a flash of black mist, Xemnas teleported in front of Drakkon and swung his Ethereal Blade with his right hand, clashing it against the Dragon Dagger before forming a second one over his hand that he used to counter an attack from Saba. The two were at a standstill for but a moment as they both made simultaneous attacks, and their blades began to clash repeatedly at light speeds, enough to begin releasing sparks all around them. The tornado of Darkness around them grew more intense as their attacks were traded amongst each other, before Drakkon won the clash and swung Saba up to knock Xemnas backwards.

That was when Ansem came through, using a blade composed of Darkness to slash at Drakkon and knock him backwards. Another attack came at him though, and this time Drakkon ducked under it, allowing him to use the Dragon Dagger to counter Ansem’s next attack while also parrying a strike from Xemnas.

Drakkon ducked under another swing of Xemnas’s blade, using the chance to kick him backwards before jumping off of Ansem to launch himself into the air, swinging both of his weapons to throw multiple waves of energy at the duo. But Xemnas and Ansem just looked at each other and both nodded before raising their hands.

Ansem/Xemnas: Take This/That!

Suddenly, Ansem fired a coil of Darkness outwards as Xemnas fired a beam of lighting from his hand, the two attacks intersecting together to blast Drakkon out of the sky and send him crashing back down to the ground. As Ansem began to step forward however, Xemnas disappeared in a black rush, but Drakkon paid it little mind as he charged forwards straight at Ansem and threw a powerful punch that Ansem weaved away from before sticking his leg into the air and violently kicking Drakkon right in the face of his helmet. The kick was actually enough to stagger him backwards, causing Drakkon to growl as he intercepted a strike from Ansem, who used the Darkness in his Heart to bolster his physical strength and content with Drakkon. He weaved two of Drakkon’s punches and let his own fist fly, but Drakkon was able to catch it and solidly connect his fist with Ansem’s face to push him backwards.

That was when Xemnas appeared behind Drakkon and slashed him in the back, staggering the Power Ranger long enough for Ansem to form 15 Dark Laser’s above Drakkon’s head, which all began glowing and raining down upon him to blast him over and over. In response however, Drakkon stabbed both of his bladed weapons into the ground below him and released a combined explosion of Green and White energy that launched Ansem back, while Xemnas formed his Spark Wall to deflect the attack coming his way, causing a massive wall of smoke to get blown upwards an obscure Drakkon’s vision.

That was when Xemnas came flying out of the smoke with a powerful flip kick that he aimed directly at Tommy’s head, only for the corrupted Ranger to block it and flip Xemnas back around. In response, Drakkon performed a sweep kick that Xemnas backflipped over before he fired a few spark shots that Drakkon had to leap away from, only to then tap something underneath one of his gloves.

Drakkon: Zero in on my coordinates.

Just then, out of a massive storm of energy, the Black Dragon Zord landed beside its master and looked up towards the Heartless and the Nobody with a snarling look about it. Xemnas however, looked unphased by the mechanical zord-like monster before him.

Xemnas: I shall devour all... the light and the darkness.

Bringing his hands together, Xemnas fired out two shots of lighting from his hands at Drakkon and the Black Dragon, with Drakkon dodging the attack while the Black Dragon simply charged through it before Ansem suddenly leaped forwards, summoning the Guardian and having it use brute strength to clash against the Mecha Zord as the two interlocked hands and smashed their heads against each other. The two monsters pushed further against each other in a battle of brute strength that the Black Dragon seemed to be winning, before the Guardian suddenly slipped into the ground and became a puddle of darkness that burst back out, launching the Black Dragon sky high.

But the Zord began to propel itself in the air, jet boosts on it’s back keeping the mecha sky high as it began to barrage phase beams upon the battlefield below that Xemnas blocked by creating a barrier while behind him, Asnem gathered together a well of Darkness and began to fire it back upwards to clash against the Black Dragon’s Phase Beams. This, of course, left Ansem open to an attack from Drakkon, but just as the Ranger slashed downwards Xemnas appeared to block the strike. The began a clash which opened with Xemnas aiming straight for Drakkon’s face with his Ethereal Blade, but Drakkon ducked under it and jabbed his elbow forwards into Xemnas’s gut. He tried to follow up with a strike from Saba, but Xemnas teleported away from the attack before he could be hit. Drakkon knew, however, that the most likely sport that Xemnas would reappear at would be right behind him, and preemptively spun around and slash at that spot with the Dragon Dagger…

Only for Xemnas to, within the second he reappeared, dodge the attack by flipping forwards and rolling over Drakkon’s back to actually get behind him. Finally, Xemnas was ready to make his strike, and yet that was the moment where the Black Dragon landed and swung its massive arm around to try and backhand Xemnas. As Drakkon ducked under the Zord’s backhand, however, Xemnas stuck his left hand out and used the swing of the Black Dragon Zord to flip back over, allowing him to form an Etheral Blade in his right hand and successfully land a slash across Drakkon’s chest before being knocked aside by the Black Dragon’s tail.

Chains of darkness suddenly began to manifest and began to engulf the Black Dragon as Ansem commanded the chains to continue holding the Zord down, giving the Guardian a chance to manifest in front of it and punch the Zord’s face a few times before it started to beat the mecha dragon into the ground. But suddenly, the Black Dragon began to rip it’s arm through the chain, grabbing the Guardian and tossing it aside before firing a shockwave out of its mouth that that began to completely blow away the Seeker of Darkness, penetrating the shield he made to defend himself with and threatening to tear the Heartless apart.

Seeing that his compatriot was in danger, Xemnas acted quickly by creating his ultimate move, the cage of lasers that began to surround the hail down upon the Black Dragon, ripping into the Zord and beginning to wear it down with the bombardment of repeated attacks before the attacks ultimately succeeded in penetrating the Zord, leading to the Black Dragons demise as the mecha collapsed over, no longer functioning.

But that short-lived victory was soon interrupted when Drakkon got back up, and in a howling fury of rage, stabbed both the Dragon Dagger and Saba into the cliffside that the four were fighting on, causing it to begin cracking…

KA-BOOM!!!!

Before it suddenly exploded, the massive surge of morphing grid energy blasting apart the twister of Darkness surrounding the fighters and completely engulfing the weakened Ansem enough to destroy the Heartless, causing the mountside to begin falling apart in the process.

Coming out of the smoke first was, of course, Drakkon, who found himself quickly being attacked by Xemnas once again. Quick to prevent another attack like that, Xemnas aimed a well-placed swipe of his Ethereal Blades to disarm Drakkon and send the two weapons falling to the ground below. But Drakkon implanted his feet into the slanted ground beneath him, and began to block both Ethereal Blades with his wrists repeatedly before jabbing Xemnas in the gut a few times.

Deciding to play at Drakkon’s game, Xemnas dismissed his Ethereal Blades and moved forwards, blocking Drakon’s punches and dealing a hardy one straight to the Ranger’s face, Xemnas weaved past a few more jabs before leaping over a sweep-kick from Drakkon before landing his own swinging roundhouse kick to knock Drakkon off the cliffside and sending him crashing into a graveyard of Keyblades.

Drakkon groaned as he got backwards, only to dodge a jab from Xemnas and began to block the next few punches before performing a roundhouse kick that Xemnas ducked under, but the Nobody soon performed a sweeping kick that Drakkon jumped over before the two bega trading and parrying each other’s punches once again. Drakkon ducked under a right hook before raising his leg to perform a high-kick, but Xemnas had the same idea and the two kick’s clashed repeatedly in the air before Drakkon did a full flip to land a kick on Xemnas’s head and send him to the ground.

Quickly using that chance to put some distance between them, Drakkon performed a triple backflip to get away from Xemnas before bouncing into the air, swirling his hands together to mix the Green and White Ranger energies together before firing a blast out that bombarded upon Xemnas and left him crashing into the ground. Drakkon landed on the ground as the attack finished, and he sent himself launching forwards while charging up a Power Punch that was meant to finish Xemnas off once and for all.

But Xemnas got back onto his feet quickly, and when he saw Drakkon flying right for him, raised his right hand and formed an Ethereal Blade to swing down with just as Drakkon got into range and threw his punch.

Both attacks hit true.

Drakkon’s helmet hissed brightly as it fell downwards, split into two, revealing the alternate Tommy Oliver’s face with a newly formed, very harsh looking burn mark on it from the attack he’d just taken, leaving his hissing in pain. So much so he couldn’t so much as gloat about the attack he hand landed on Xemnas which completely blew the Nobody’s chest open, revealing the lack of a heart in the literally heartless being.

And yet, Xemnas only faded away with a smirk.

Xemnas: If that is what you seek… very well then. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

And so, Xemnas faded away into a mist of darkness, leaving Drakkon seemingly alone.

Seemingly.

But not for long.

A footstep caught Drakkon’s attention and made him turn around, where he saw a bald old man walking towards him with a smirk on his face. Drakkon, though, just scowled as he faced his final opponent.

Drakkon: Master Xehanort, I presume.

Xehanort: Welcome, Lord Drakkon. You are soon to witness the birth of a new Universe. Of course, there is still a chance for you and I to work together, to ensure no enemies of ours could ever disrupt our ideal world.

Drakkon: I have made it clear, I will never work with you. I will rule, alone!

Xehanort: Yes, you will, won’t you? You would stab me in the back… if I didn’t rip out your heart first.

Growling and snarling, the veins on Drakkon’s face grew slightly as he transformed into his Final Evolution, repairing his helmet in the process as he began to power up. In response, Master Xehanort summoned the No Name Keyblade again, and laughed to himself.

Xehanort: Yes boy, that’s it! More! Let your whole Heart blacken with anger!

And with that, Drakkon was engulfed by an aura of Darkness as he screamed to the heavens with the awakening of his rage, charging straight for Xehanort as he threw a punch so powerful the shockwave blasted out for miles, yet Xehanort blocked it with a mere swing of his Keyblade.

After that, the combat was lighting fast, the two moving around at light speeds as Drakkon unleashed an unrelenting flurry of attacks, slashing and clawing at Xehanort as the old man parried more and more attacks. Leaping away from Xehanort, Drakkon swiped his hands twice to make a powerful energy wave that flew along the ground, which Xehanort cast Reflectga to counter before disappearing in a flash and reappearing behind Drakkon to knock him around with a basic Keyblade combo. Physical combat wasn’t the Master’s strong suit anymore, but he could still knock his opponent around a few times.

Instead, Xehanort followed it up with Dark Shot, but the attack he unleashed was caught by Drakkon before he threw it right back at Xehanort and got up in the old master’s face, punching the elder man in the gut before unleashing a few powerful, unrelenting punches upon him and finally punching him away with a final supercharged punch.

Drakkon’s anger continued to grow however, as the Darkness inside him surged and mixed with the powers of the Black Dragon coin and all the Morphin Grid energy he had absorbed, causing him to release waves upon waves of darkness around him. Xehanort raised his hands, motioning the dead Keyblade’s of the Graveyard to wake and block the incoming darkness attacks before disappearing behind Drakkon and grabbing the repaired helmet so he could use Ultima Freeze on it, beginning to completely freeze and encase Drakkon’s body in ice.

But Drakkon brough through it easily, shattering his helmet in the process as he swung around to wildly punch Xehanort in the face, only to be met with the point blank No Name Keyblade casting Dark Firaga in his face and sending him crashing into the ground. And yet, Drakon just began to get back up, looking downwards slightly to see the Darkness of his Heart intermingling with the aura of his Ranger form, which only caused him to begin laughing like a madman while standing on his feet again.

Drakkon: So this is the power of the Darkness you seek… you’re going to regret bringing me here. Now, I’ll gladly use it to destroy you!

Disappearing in a blast of green and white sparks, Drakkon appeared at super speed infront of Xehanort to feint past his Keyblade to punch the old man in the face, pushing him back a few times with more powerful punches before doing a longer round punch that almost his Xehanort, if the Keyblade hadn’t blocked it.

Xehanort: Foolish boy. You’ll find defeating me with Darkness to be a most impossible task!

Drakkon dodged another slash of the Keyblade, blocking the next strike with a kick before he threw a darkness wave that Xehanort avoided before the old man fired out multiple Dark Shots that all homed in on Drakkon. However, the attack proved for naught as Drakkon charged through it with ease before he began throwing more and more heaps of energy projectiles as Xehanort, blasts mixed with the hybrid energy of the Black Dragon coin and Darkness, which Xehanort was beginning to have to divert more and more focus to blocking. This gave Drakkon just the chance he needed to slip past Xehanort’s blind spot and unleash a sucker-punch straight to the gut, following by a flurrying rush of strikes all over Xehanort's body before kicking him upwards into the air, just so that Drakkon to grab the old man and slam him back downwards into the ground.

Just as Xehanort started getting back up, however, Drakkon grabbed Xehanort again and began dragging him along the ground, ripping more ground up before he lifted Xehanort over his head just to slam him back down again. That was when Xehanort suddenly revenge countered, and the old man managed to strike Drakkon with his Keyblade before firing a Blizzaga to hold Drakkon back just long enough for him to put some distance between them.

In that moment, Xehanort raised his Keyblade, readying a powerful spell at hand, and fired out the Flare spell. But not just one, no, he fired eight total Flare’s that all began to surround Drakkon, and the dark ranger only had a moment to comprehend the attack about to be unleashed before they all went off, exploding for the force of several megatons in his face.

A mushroom cloud could be seen from the badlands outside the Keyblade Graveyard, and when the smoke finally settled, Drakkon was on his knees in the middle of a massive, several yard deep crater. Groaning in pain, barely pushing himself back up, and coughing blood out of his mouth. He looked upwards, gasping for breath as he raised one hand up for the massive Heart in the sky, and finally began to understand…

Drakkon: So… that is Kingdom Hearts…

Holding his hand outwards, Drakkon’s hand began to twitch as a strange, red energy began to spark around it, as he began to reach into a crack in reality, and take something out.

That was when a massive pillar of energy suddenly shot outwards, and Drakkon began to rise into the air, now with the Heart of a Morphin Master embedded into his chest, his arms crossed before he held one hand, and reality itself began to tear away around himself and Xehanort.

Drakkon: Don’t you see, Xehanort? You never had a chance to begin with.

Xehanort began to struggle against the pressure to this reality warping power before sticking his hand out, letting a spell charge up in his hand that could hopefully push back the power of the Heart of the Master.

Xehanort: Stopza!

The Stopza spell clashed with Drakkon’s aura, and the godly Ranger laughed as he snapped his fingers, creating a combustion of energy that mixed with the Stopza, causing an even bigger eruption that could be likened to that of the Big Bang.

But it didn’t stop there. Darkness began to consume everything, across all worlds, everywhere. Everything was wiped away, consumed by Drakkon’s malice. Until finally, there was nothing less. The Realm of Light had been consumed, and erased from existence.

And Lord Drakon was left, alone in the void of Darkness where it once was.

Drakkon: At last, I’ve won.

That was when a light suddenly began to shine down from above onto Drakkon, causing him to grow in fear and shock as he whipped around to see Kingdom Hearts was still there, still shining down on him. And Master Xehanort floated above him as well, holding his hand out to reveal the true key to Kingdom Hearts, the x-Blade. Drakkon growled, ready to strike, but Xehanort only smirked while raising his true weapon against the Ranger.

Xehanort: The truth is, Tommy, I never needed your help to forge the x-Blade. I just wanted to make sure you wouldn’t use that Heart of the Master against me.

In response to that, Drakkon fired a massive Kamehameha-like beam of energy outwards, and Xehanort fired out a beam from the x-Blade in response. The two attacks clashed in the void around them, shaking the worldless space with shockwaves that would have further destroyed the universe, if there was any universe left to be destroyed in the first place.

That was, until something tugged at Drakkon’s Heart and began to forcefully pull the Darkness out of his body and swell into the x-Blade. No, this wasn’t just Darkness, but the very essence of his Heart was being ripped out of his body second by second. When he finally realized what was happening, as the Heart of the Master began losing its effects, he looked back up at Xehanort in fear, mouth agape.

Drakkon: H…how…?

Xehanort: I told you, there is none who understands the Heart better than I do.

And with that, Xehanort fully extracted Drakkon’s Heart, letting it float out of his body and into his left hand. Still holding the x-Blade in his right hand, Xehanort flew forwards and thrust it into the empty shell that was Drakkon’s body. In one clean slice, the Heart of the Master was destroyed, and along with it, Drakkon’s body crumbled to dust along with his Power Morpher before it could have the chance to become a Nobody.

In the end, Xehanort was alone, holding Drakkon’s Heart in his hand. But he wouldn’t destroy it, and instead, let it become a small Heartless that was soon bent to his will.

Xehanort: Well, my new friend, what say we go remake reality together now?

And the Shadow Heartless had no choice but to bow it’s head in submission as Xehanort raised the x-Blade, and began to enact his master plan.

KO!

Conclusion[]

Boomstick: KINGDOM HEEEEEEEARTS! FILL ME WITH THE POWER OF DARKNESS- (starts violently coughing) Oh god how did he do that scream?

Wiz: This was a complicated matchup for several reasons. First off, both Drakkon and Xehanort were exceptional fighters in their own rights, in ways that weren’t really comparable. Drakkon definitely had the ability to give Xehanort a good fight, though in straight up combat Xehanort’s greater experience was far more likely to win in a prolonged brawl.

Boomstick: Versatility was no question his as well. Not only did Master Xehanort know way more spells than Drakkon could ever hope to use, but when you factored in all of Xehanort’s other incarnations, even with the Black Dragon backing him up, there was nothing stopping Drakkon from just getting completely overwhelmed at a moment’s notice.

Wiz: And while speed was definitely in Xehanort’s court, it does require some explanation. Roxas’ round trip across the Realm of Light was an absurd feat of speed that can’t easily be calculated, and could have possibly been a feat of infinite speed. Even if it wasn’t though, it would have required him to be moving sextillion or septillions of times the speed of light, depending on the exact distance between Radiant Garden and the Keyblade Graveyard.

Boomstick: Even if we followed the map of Birth by Sleep and assumed the two worlds were right next to each other and removed the empty space of the Ocean Between, that STILL would beat objectively faster than the Mighty Morphin Rangers leaping across a few galaxies in a couple hours. There was no way around it, Xehanort was absolutely faster. But none of that would have mattered if the Heart of the Master could just undo all of Xehanort’s progress, all at once.

Wiz: So let’s break down just how strong both the Heart of the Master and Kingdom Hearts are.

Boomstick: Drakkon was able to erase every reality in the Multiverse, both naturally existing and the shattered era’s of the Prime Timeline that had been segmented off into their own universes, all with the snap of a finger. That’s a literal infinite number of world’s across infinite era’s of time. And we know Kingdom Hearts can do the same thing, since Xehanort was going to do the exact same thing to the Realm of Light before Sora intervened.

Wiz: However, the upper limits of Kingdom Hearts power far eclipsed the Heart of the Master’s. Remember, Xehanort wasn’t just going to erase and rebuild the Realm of Light, but everything else in Kingdom Hearts’ winder cosmology, including the equally Infinite Realm of Darkness, the Realms Between, and the Ocean Between as well. At MINIMUM, if we assume the Realm of Light and the Power Rangers multiverse are equal in size, this would mean that the Heart of the Master is only One Third as powerful as Kingdom Hearts. When push came to shove, Xehanort could absolutely have just overpowered Drakkon, assuming he didn’t just wait until Drakkon lost control of it.

Boomstick: Hell he didn’t even have to do that! With his ability to extract Hearts, and when you remember the Heart of the Master is LITERALLY a Heart as well, Xehanort had multiple options to shut Drakkon down. He could siphon off all of Drakkon’s Light or Darkness, extract Drakkon’s Heart, separate him into a Heartless and a Nobody, or just straight up drain the Heart of the Master of it’s Light as well. Poor bastard never had a chance.

Wiz: Drakkon may have been one of the deadliest villains the Power Rangers have ever faced, but he just couldn’t keep up with the might of Master Xehanort.

Boomstick: I guess you could say that Drakkon just didn’t have the Heart to Drag-on this fight any longer.

Wiz: The winner is Master Xehanort.

Xehanort Wins (MSZX)
