Two traitors from Kirby join together to fight each other. Who will win this amazing battle?
Marx[]
Marx first appears in Kirby Super Star where he tricks Kirby into gathering all the star power in the universe and summoning Galactic Nova, Marx uses the wish from Galactic Nova to control Popstar. But in the end, Kirby defeats him and he later returns as an ally of Kirby in Kirby Star Allies. Marx is a small, purple jester with a twin red and blue hat. He has brown shoes and wears a red bow. Marx is very cunning, as seen when he tricks Kirby into thinking he would fix the problem with the sun and moon, but instead Marx took his wish and tried to conquer Popstar instead.
Marx has lots of powers (which is why he is considered one of the strongest Kirby villains):
Marx in his true form can fly at high speeds. Throw special seeds onto the ground which suddenly grow into thick vines. He can spit out ice balls, release arrows, come out of the ground, throw cutter blades, teleport, shoot a powerful laser from his mouth (when is say powerful I mean super OP) and last but not least, Marx can summon a black hole that can suck his opponent into it giving them a huge amount of damage.
Not to mention, Marx has an even more powerful form of himself, called Marx Soul, which appears in Kirby Super Star Ultra in The True Arena. But his soul form won't be included in this fight. Also, when he is Dream Friend in Kirby Star Allies, Marx can throw his balls at an enemy, giving them damage, he can also hop on an enemy and throw them around like a ball.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Marx appears yet again. Where he works for Dharkon and fights the smash fighters. His boss battle is quite similar to his boss battle in Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra, except that he has two more moves. He can make his wings turn into long pink vines which move around the screen. He can also make his eyeballs gigantic and each giant eyeball makes long lasers which move around the screen.
Marx is pretty durable, considering he survived the Galactic Nova explosion (who is as big as a planet). For speed, Marx is very fast, as seen when he zooms around the screen in Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra.
Magolor[]
Magolor is the main antagonist of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. In this game, Magolor tries to steal the Master Crown from Landia. However, Magolor fails and is forced to retreat on Planet Popstar with the Lor Starcutter. Then he crashes on Dream Land where he meets Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee. They agree to fix his ship and eventually fight Landia to get the Master Crown. However, the four heroes had no idea that Magolor was actually using them to get the source of infinite power. Once Landia is defeated, Magolor puts the Master Crown on his head and becomes super powerful. He then prepares to conquer the universe, but Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee fight Magolor but when his second phase is defeated, the Master Crown controls Magolor and fights the four heroes. But eventually Magolor's third, unnamed phase is defeated. Magolor's third phase turns back into his normal form (before he wore the Master Crown). Then the Master Crown breaks and Magolor disappears. Though he returns into Kirby's Dream Collection, where he apologises to Kirby by building him a theme park in Dream Land. He later appears in Kirby Star Allies as a Dream Friend to help Kirby fight Hyness and defeat Void Termina.
Base Magolor's abilities:
- Magolor has a lot of powerful moves (even without the Master Crown). He can release a sphere of energy that launches forward, homing in on nearby enemies as it flies. If no enemies are nearby, it is launched at a random angle.
- Magolor can also release two twirling spheres of energy that launch forward and he can release three swirling balls of flame that launch forward.
- Magolor can surge forward invincibly for quite a long distance. He can disappear into a portal, leaving only an invulnerable distortion in the air that can be maneuvered around freely. When he wants to, he will reappear through another portal, damaging his opponent. Magolor can summon a star-shaped shield which can protect him while guarding. Every two attacks from the opponent can chip away one segment of his shield however. So after ten attacks, the shield will be completely chipped away and Magolor's guard will turn back into a normal guard.
- Magolor can throw three Gem Apple bombs forward. After landing, the bombs begin to expand and reach full potency after about 7 seconds. The bombs can also be pushed around by moving blocks.
- Magolor can also summon long, thin purple needles from the ground. He can control the amount of needles he summons by how long he charges the attack. The minimum are two needles, and the maximum are eight needles.
- Magolor can summon a black hole as he raises his arms over his head, creating a rune circle that can be maneuvered around freely. He can also use the black hole to suck up any enemies nearby and throw them back out, damaging bosses.
- Magolor can summon an Ultra Sword (a gigantic sword) and slash it onto his opponent, damaging the opponent very badly.
- Magolor can also summon a huge laser beam, called "Magolor Cannon".
- Not to mention, Magolor can also summon the Lor Starcutter, and make it fly straight forward at high speed, damaging the opponent.
Crowned Magolor's abilities:
- Magolor summons orbs of dark energy that spin in place or hold for a moment, then fire at his opponent.
- Magolor summons spikes from the ground which systematically cover the stage.
- Magolor can shoot spinning fire.
- Magolor can open a rift, and summon Doomers to attack the opponent.
- Magolor opens a giant unguardable rift in an attempt to suck the opponent in. If the opponent is caught, they get taken to a dimension of pure pain and are zapped repeatedly.
- Magolor fires a gigantic laser beam.
- Magolor can summon a magical shield to protect him from any attacks.
- Magolor has control over space and time itself.
Magolor Soul's abilities:
- Can summon powerful black holes.
- Can summon enemies to attack the opponent.
- Can conjure rifts at various positions, which shoot out spikes.
- Can conjure and toss orbs of black energy from varying positions.
- Can fire lasers into dimensional rifts, so that they can keep attacking the opponent.
- Can create a giant ice hammer which creates huge shockwaves, ice spikes also fall from the sky.
- Can fight with two black swords.
- Can summon fire dragons, which are as powerful as Super Abilities.
- Can summon a dark orb of energy around himself, so that he becomes invincible.
- Destroyed an entire dimension.
Magolor is quite durable, since he did survive the entire collapse of a dimension. Magolor is also fast enough to keep up with the Lor Starcutter, which moves faster than light.
Death Battle[]
The event starts where Magolor is waiting for Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee to come back with the Lor Starcutter parts when suddenly a portal appears and Magolor is sucked in. Magolor then wakes up to see a purple jester looking over him.
Marx: What the-? You're not Kirby! Who are you?
Magolor: I'm Magolor. And what do you mean when you say "Kirby"? Kirby's supposed to help me fix my ship so that my plan can continue and I can get the Master Crown to become the ruler of the universe!
Marx: You become the ruler of the universe? HAH! Sorry, pal. I'm already the true ruler here, after I stole a wish from that pink idiot! I was waiting for him, but I might as well defeat you first as you seem to be an interference to my plan. I, MARX, RULER OF POPSTAR SHALL BLOW YOU OUT OF EXISTANCE!!! Hee hee hee!
Magolor: Fine then, I'll defeat you and then continue my plan to become RULER OF THE UNIVERSE!
The battle starts! First Marx charges his power and releases arrows at Magolor, they come so fast that Magolor can't dodge them and gets hit by all of them, then Marx charges at him with high speed but Magolor disappears into a portal and appears behind Marx. Magolor then releases three balls of energy at Marx. After this, Marx teleports away and appears under the ground preparing to charge up and hit Magolor. This succeeds, but Magolor summons an Ultra Sword and hits Marx with it, pushing Marx away. Marx gets angry and appears above Magolor and then flies up. Then Marx releases his seeds. Magolor gets confused but when the vines start appearing he tries to dodge them, but he ends up dodging only a few and gets hit by the others. Marx sees his chance and throws cutter blades at Magolor, but Magolor summons a star shield just in time. Magolor then desummons his star shield and summons two long purple needles from the ground. Marx teleports away just in time. Then Magolor notices that the ground below him is a different color so he floats up and throws three Gem Apple bombs to where he was originally standing. When Marx charges up, the Gem Apple bombs reach full potential and blow up, damaging Marx. Magolor seizes his chance and surges at Marx, Marx gets hit again but then gets back up. Marx then activates his black hole, Magolor is about to get sucked in so he summons his black hole as well. Causing none of the opponents to get sucked into each other's black holes. Marx then teleports behind Magolor and activates his laser, Magolor gets hit. Marx uses his chance and spits an ice ball out of his mouth, which freezes Magolor, trapping him in a block of ice. Marx then deactivates his true form and hops on Magolor and kicks him again. Marx then goes back into his true form and prepares his laser again (as Magolor is now out of the ice). However, just before Magolor is hit by Marx's laser. Magolor disappears into a portal and reappears behind Marx. Then Magolor uses his Ultra Sword, but Marx teleports just in time and appears above Magolor. Then Marx turns his wings into long pink vines, but Magolor detects his attack and dodges the pink vines and hits Marx with his Ultra Sword. Marx then makes his eyeballs turn large and four lasers appear from each eye. Magolor summons his star shield, but the laser is too powerful for the star shield to protect Magolor for long. However, the laser does quite mild damage as it only hit Magolor for a few seconds. Marx teleports once more and dashes at Magolor, but Magolor summons his black hole just in time which sucks up Marx. Magolor then releases Marx who is very badly injured now. Marx flies up and releases his seeds but Magolor sees them and dodges the vines. Magolor then puts three Gem Apple bombs on where he was standing just as Marx charges up. While the Gem Apple bombs didn't reach full power, Marx was still damaged by them. Magolor uses his chance and slashes his Ultra Sword at Marx once more. Leaving Marx completely injured. Magolor then uses his chance, Marx tries to shoot ice balls after teleporting but Magolor uses his star shield against it. Then Magolor quickly summons his Lor Starcutter and it hits Marx. Which makes Marx crash into Nova, defeating him. A portal then appears and Magolor travels back to his own time just as Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee come back with the Lor Starcutter parts.
Results[]
Not an unexpected win by Magolor. These two have very similar abilities. However, Magolor has more abilities than Marx. Plus, Magolor can survive the collapse of an entire dimension, so most of Marx's attacks wouldn't have done much to him anyway. Magolor is also smarter and not to mention, he has the Lor Starcutter which moves faster light.
The winner is Magolor.
