Mark Hoffman Vs William Afton is a What-If? Death Battle between Mark Hoffman from the Saw Franchise, and William Afton from the FNAF Franchise.
Description[]
Mark Hoffman Vs William Afton is a fight between two men who hide in plain sight, and their murders go unpunished by the public, but not by people who know about what they did.
Intro[]
Skunk: Social Influence is helpful in many ways, like getting free things, being allowed to go places you aren't allowed.
Skel: And going unnoticed when you murder people for your own reasons and pleasure.
Skunk: Mark Hoffman, Jigsaw's Detective Apprentice.
Skel: And William Afton, Purple Guy From FNAF. He's Skunk and I'm Skel!
Skunk: And it's our job to research their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle!
Hoffman Saws In Death Battle![]
(Cue Saw Theme)
Skunk: People can be ungrateful about their life, wasting it away, always thinking of themselves and never others.
Skel: Jigsaw knew this, and wanted everyone who did so to realize their mistakes, and appreciate their life. By putting them through deadly traps they had to mutilate themselves with to prove their will to live or die.
Billy Puppet: Hello Amanda, I want to play a game...
Skunk: But he wasn't always alone, as he had apprentices to help him out by capturing people and putting them in the traps. One of these people was Mark Hoffman, a detective on the look for Jigsaw, but he was soon caught and tested, obviously he won, given he remained in the series for many movies after.
Skel: He originally was a well respected detective, being one of the best, until one day, his sister was killed by her crazy ex boyfriend, and Hoffman wasn't going to let this slide.
Skunk: After years of drinking, he still was able to be promoted to work on the Jigsaw case. He found out Seth, the ex boyfriend, was let out after 5 years of prison, instead of his life sentence.
Skel: He had the idea to set up a Jigsaw like trap, and make Seth suffer, not only by crushing his hands, but making sure he couldn't get out even if he won.
Skunk: Jigsaw found out and kidnapped Hoffman, putting him through his own test, and offering to make Hoffman his apprentice, which he accepted, as if he didn't he would be exposed and likely relieved of duty and put in jail.
Skel: This whole ordeal went on, Hoffman set traps up, he get everything, then Jigsaw's wife came along to kill Hoffman, but he escaped.
Skunk: This was a bad move for Jill, as Hoffman's determination let him find her, kill her, and get his revenge.
Skel: Ultimately though, Hoffman was smacked and left to die in the original bathroom trap. It is unknown if he did find a way out.
Skunk: Hoffman certainly is a formidable foe, and he carries plenty of tools to use.
Hoffman's Arsenal[]
- Combat Knife
- Glock Handgun
- Smith & Wesson
- Syringe
- Can put people to sleep nearly instantly
- Reverse Bear Trap
- Iconic Saw Trap
- Can tear a jaw apart
- Pig Mask
- Conceals his identity
- Audio Tapes
- Billy Puppets
- One had a built in shotgun in the head
Skel: He carries a combat knife and Handgun, which is typical for a detective obviously.
Skunk: Something less typical is a Smith & Wesson that he uses, which is actually pretty cool looking.
Skel: Yeah, but he can send you to sleep with a syringe, sneakily surprise you with a shotgun rigged Billy Puppet, or even force your face open with The Reverse Bear Trap.
Skunk: He obviously is efficient with guns, as why wouldn't he be?
Skel: He still is pretty deadly without the weapons though.
Hoffman's Feats[]
- Escaped a Revers Bear Trap
- This tore his right cheek open, but he only suffered pain for a short while
- Killed a whole police station
- Took getting stabbed in the neck and was just momentarily stunned
- Tricked other detectives and police alike
- Can overpower trained police officers before they could even react
- Killed 3 police officers in a room with a cup of coffee and a knife
Skunk: He once was put in a Revers Bear Trap that he wasn't meant to escape from, tricked other people and easily overpowered a whole police station.
Skel: Not only that, but he killed 3 people with only a knife and a nice cup of coffee, and again, they were trained cops.
Skunk: His survival instinct certainly has saved him before, even willing to tear his cheek open to survive.
Skel: That said, he never was perfect.
Hoffman's Flaws[]
- Was overpowered by Peter Strahm
- Though, this did result in Strahm's death
- Was sneak attacked and sealed away to die
- It isn't known if he did die or he found a way to escape
- Guns have limited ammo and require reloading
- Emotion can take over
Skunk: He was overpowered twice, but the 2nd time was a sneak attack by a group of people, so eh, let's give him a break for that.
Skel: His guns obviously have limited ammunition, and his traps require time to be set up.
Skunk: Hoffman can be blinded by his emotions if done right, as his sister was killed and revenge was on his mind. He also was dead set on killing Jill when she failed to kill him, but he still won, so perhaps we should give credit where it is due.
Skel: But Hoffman's rules aren't planning to play fair, so you'd best hope he won't find you, or else...
Hoffman: Game Over...
William Won't Die In Death Battle![]
Skel: How many times have we gone over FNAF?
Skunk: Too many to count, but we have to make the word count, so we will still explain it.
Skel: Oh fine, great...
Skunk: Once a place called FredBear's Diner came along with owner Henry and William. William had wanted his son safe, but his son was accidentally killed by FredBear.
Skel: This all resulted in a chain reaction of death, with William killing 5 children for reasons unknown.
Skunk: For years, William's crimes went unnoticed, and he seemingly got away with it, until the very souls of the kids he killed came back for him, making him run away from them and tearing the robots apart.
Skel: But all this did was seal his fate even further by him climbing in a spring-lock suit and getting spring-locked, but we aren't here for Springtrap, we are here for William.
Skunk: Not really much to talk about, but we will try.
Skel: William killing those kids kinda is dirty though... I just find it nasty...
Skunk: Yeah, but back to this. William certainly was a man unworthy to live, but he had some things in hand to assist in his crimes.
William's Arsenal[]
- Springlock Lever
- Used to open springlock suits
- Knife
- Used for stabbing (Obviously)
- Flashlight
Skel: He has pretty lame stuff, like a knife and flashlight, which I guess are OK, and he also has a weird Springlock Lever, so that is cool... I guess?
Skunk: He really has some lame stuff, but we don't have much to talk about, so let's move on to the feats.
William's Feats[]
- Murdered 5 kids (And got away with it for years)
- Can overpower a police officer
- Tore apart metal skeletons
- Made The Twisted Animatronics & Fun-time Animatronics
- Pretty stealthy
- Survived a Springlock Failure
Skel: He did murder 5 kids without people noticing, and even overpowered a cop by surprise.
Skunk: He was even able to tear apart metal skeletons and is the brains behind The Twisted Ones.
Skel: He also got some nice stealth and survived a Springlock Failure before, but that indicates flaws too.
William's Flaws[]
- Stupidly got himself "Killed" by going in a SpringBonnie suit
- Was overpowered by a group of teens
- Didn't think about someone setting off his spring-locks while he was in the suit, resulting in him getting Spring-locked
- Animatronics were likely years old when he tore them apart
- No real combat training, as he normally takes people by surprise instead of head on
Skunk: Despite his genius, he still died by Springlocks, because he couldn't help but gloat...
Skel: He also has barely any combat experience, as he only beat a cop because he got them by surprise.
Skunk: He is a man who was never caught, but will always come back, no matter what.
William: I always come back.
Intermission[]
Skunk: Alright the combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all!
Skel: It's time for a Death Battle!!!
Fight[]
Location: Circus Baby's Pizza World
William is seen waking up, sat in the middle of a room on a chair. He looks around and gets up, setting off a TV. He turns to look at it.
William: What the?
Billy appears on the TV.
Billy: Hello William, I want to play a game... You may think nobody has noticed your little schemes, but I have, and your own confidence has left you wreckless.
William: What the hell is this... Who the hell are you?!
Billy: Through life you put your own family before others, but now you must put yourself in perspective, and ask the question, "Was it worth it?"
William then walks closer to the TV.
Billy: To answer this, you must find the combination to the lock on the device attached to your head, I called it the, Reverse Bear Trap, and here is what happens when you lose.
William is shown a Reverse Bear Trap opening, obliterating a Dummy head
William: What the, I ain't got that on me...
Suddenly, Hoffman walks in with the Bear Trap, but notices William is awake.
Mark: I didn't put enough in that syringe I guess. I'd best put you out again.
Hoffman walks over, but William walks back.
William: Hey, you ain't doing nothing to me!
Mark: You don't have a choice really...
William takes his knife out his pocket.
Mark: Guess I forgot to take that off you.
Hoffman then takes out his Combat Knife.
Both of them walk closer, and stop.
William: Let me out of this now!
Mark: Or what?
William grips his knife tighter.
Fight!!!
William charges at Hoffman, but is tripped up by the feet. William kicks Hoffman's shin, making Hoffman stumble back.
Mark: Playing the hard way huh? This will be fun...
Hoffman then swings his knife, cutting William's arm, but William slices at Hoffman's leg. Hoffman grunts in pain, but then knees William in the face, sending William back onto the ground. Hoffman turns and takes his Glock out, and when turning back, William is gone. Hoffman glares around.
Mark: Hiding won't do a damn thing for you apart from prolong this.
William then jumps out and stabs Hoffman's shoulder. In reaction to this, Hoffman quickly swings his arm back, smacking William on the nose with the Glock. William staggers back, and holds his nose, having blood come out of it. Hoffman beats on William's head a bit with the Glock's butt, until William kicks his groin, and dashes past Hoffman.
William: Heads up!
Hoffman turns, and is hit in the face with the chair. William tries to swing it down, but is shot in the shin, and moves back, dropping the chair behind him. William kicks Hoffman's hand, sending the gun sliding to the wall.
William: Not so tough are you?
William walks over to grab the gun, and when he turns after picking it up, Hoffman is there and stabs his Combat Knife through William's hand. William screams, but then the knife is removed, but instantly stuck in William's knee. William then shoots Hoffman in the groin. Hoffman moves backwards, clutching the injury.
William: You're not so tough.
William grabs Hoffman by the neck, and holds the gun to Hoffman's chest.
William: You're dead!
Mark: Unlikely...
William stops for a moment, confused, but Hoffman then sticks his syringe into William's neck, knocking him out. The screen goes black, but after a second, cuts to William strapped to his chair he was on before, with Hoffman stood watching.
Mark: I don't like it when people don't play by the rules... and you sure as hell didn't...
Hoffman walks behind William, and a click is heard, as Hoffman started a 10 second timer. Hoffman slowly walks to a door, while William lets out muffled screams. Hoffman then turns, and shortly after, William's Bear Trap goes off, tearing his face open.
Mark: Game Over...
Hoffman closes the door, as we see William's body sat limp in the middle of the room.
K.O!
Conclusion[]
Skel: Damn, that was pretty nice, a good old fashioned Brawl!
Skunk: This was a very, VERY close battle, as both combatants could have won easily with their strengths, Hoffman was just good enough to win more times than not.
Skel: For starters, Hoffman had range down, as William had zero reliable options like a gun, and humans typically die from bullets, so...
Skunk: And with his range came his versatility and better weapons, as Hoffman had more options to fight with, and they were better than William's.
Skel: A normal knife won't last long against a combat knife, duh, cos it is made to be strong, while a normal knife is made to cut food, not people. Plus Flashlights and a Springlock Lever aren't good options against a man, and better against robots.
Skunk: Speed was a bit iffy, as William did overpower a police man, but that was with stealth, while in comparison, Hoffman eliminated a whole police station without anybody being able to react fast enough, giving not only speed, but experience and skill to Hoffman.
Skel: Brains was unclear, as both of them have made pretty neat contraptions, but William was likely a bit smarter, given more advanced machinery. William also has shown to be stronger, as he could tear apart Animatronics, but they likely were old and rusty.
Skunk: Durability was actually in favor of William, as surviving the Springlocks would most certainly be over anything Hoffman has done, but Hoffman's weapons could bypass that, as it is unlikely William could come back from a bullet to the head, or his face being torn wide open. So while this was a tedious fight, with William taking a fair few advantages, he was outdone by Hoffman's Speed, Better Skills and Superior Weaponry.
Skel: It is game over for William...
Skunk: The Winner is Mark Hoffman!
