Super Mario Bros. vs Pokemon! Which red capped hero from Nintendo will win?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Video games.... Heroes.... Anime... and red capped heroes?
Boomstick: Yes, two famous Nintendo heroes that wear red hats, and are the most well known characters out in the world by many and MANY PEOPLE!
Wiz: But the one who adventures around the place, travels, and explores new places too. Like, Mario, the Red Plumber and mascot of Nintendo, and the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom!
Boomstick: And Ash Ketchum, the 10 year old and Pokemon Trainer!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win...a Death Battle!
Mario[]
Wiz: One day above the skies, two babies were being delivered to their parents by a stork, and these babies were Mario and Luigi! But one horrible thing happened, they were attacked by a Magikoopa and Luigi was stolen, and Mario fell on to Yoshi's Island. He was discovered and found by a population of Yoshi's who have helped him rescue his brother Luigi, and got them back to their parents!
Boomstick: Mario is the mascot of Nintendo and he is very well known by many people from gaming! But he does get all the women, and he's always going out to save Princess Peach on many adventures with his friends! Mario is a special person, because he was one of the 7 Star Children, and he was a plumber in Brooklyn, New York. Him and his bro Luigi ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom by going down a drain pipe!
Wiz: Anyway Mario could always be showing up in random places, like Levels, Galaxies, Cities, Beaches, Deserts, or Castles! But he'd always be struggling to find his girl.
Boomstick: Let's move on to his power ups! He wields out the Fire Flower, Ice Flower, and many MANY POWERS! With the Fire Flower he can throw balls of fire from his hands, but he can also throw fireballs without the Fire Flower which would be the Firebrand, he was taught by the Fire God to learn this ability, and with the Ice Flower Mario can throw iceballs, allowing him to freeze his enemies and even freeze a whole area!
Wiz: If he wants to break through something or shatter rocks, he can use the Ultra Hammer! This is mainly Mario's weapon he obtained from the Mario and Luigi RPG games! the Ultra Hammer is pretty powerful and handy, because it can break through anything and even crush things to the ground, and with the Hammer Suit, Mario can throw hammers and defeat enemies with a deady blow with a hammer!
Boomstick: The Cape Feather, Wing Cap, and Red Star Mario can fly, soar to new heights and take flight in the sky! Also with the Super Leaf, he can still fly but with the Tanooki Suit uh..? He can turn into a statue and confuse his enemies and still fly! With the Super Bell he can trasnform into a kitty cat, meow! With the Frog Suit, Mario can swim underwater faster, as a frog, the Penguin Suit he can slide on a platform of ice and throw iceballs still!
Wiz: With his Metal Cap, he can transform into Metal Mario for 20 seconds and be totally indestructible and with the Vanish Cap he can disappear for 20 seconds as well. The Super Star or Rainbow Star makes Mario invincible for 10 seconds, Power Stars sure do come in handy, he would be in a light of rainbow, seems flashy! Mario's Boomerang Flower allows him to throw boomerangs from his hands, like plenty, and his Double Cherry grants clones of himself, and his Spring Mushroom gives him his own Spring Suit allowing him to bounce and jump higher, with his Bee Mushroom he can fly as a be, climb walls but don't get in water though.
Boomstick: His Cloud Flower let's him spawn clouds as platforms to stand and jump on, and his Rock Mushroom gives him a power to become a boulder ball and roll like a bowling ball, looks like he can smash through walls like that! With the Mega Mushroom he can become a giant and destroy anything, bricks, walls, or even take down his foes!
Wiz: The Gold Flower let's him throw these gold fireballs and turn his foes into gold coins, made of people and bricks! Looks like Mario is rich with coins, and will never be poor. The Propeller Mushroom gives Mario a propeller suit, where he can fly up and down, like a drill! The Blue Shell grants him a shell, like a Koopa and he can duck inside the shell, roll in it at full speed and even take down enemies, or protect himself!
Boomstick: Even though Mario has plenty of power ups, he also has Cappy with him, he can possess enemies and take control of them, like that frog he possessed the first time in Super Mario Odyssey! The Mario Finale allows him to launch two massive streams of fireballs, this is his Final Smash from Super Smash Bros! And Mario's got plenty of Mushrooms as healing items on hand, Mushrooms, Super Mushrooms, Ultra Mushrooms and Max Mushrooms, and plenty more!
Wiz: The Super Jump Punch let's Mario knock his foes into the sky, even when coins appear from their faces and the Ground Pound can let Mario smash bricks and things on the ground! But nobody can believe how amazing this super plumber is, being able to jump 6 times and 20 feet in the air! I wonder if Mario ever takes a break from rescusing the princess, probably not because he may get a reward under the sheets, or just even cake!
Boomstick: Speaking of cake, I'm hungry for some!
Wiz: Of course you care, anyway Mario was capable of surviving a supernova in the galaxy with no damage, and he can go to outerspace without a helmet, and Mario can also swim underwater for a long time, depends because its complicated, in the 3D games he would drown. But not to forget he's beaten Bowser multiple times, defeated Sonic in the 100th episode of Death Battle, rescued Peach on many missions, and even defeated Cackletta, the Dark Star, and even Dark Bowser with Bowser, Luigi, and Starlow!
Boomstick: Seems like Mario is ready for a Death Battle!
Mario: Let's a go!
Ash Ketchum[]
Wiz: In a world filled with trainers, animals, and Pokemon and wild animals have powers... But you gotta CATCH 'EM ALL! POKEMON! Ash Ketchum is a 10 year old boy, and of course he's been 10 for his whole life!
Boomstick: So no birthday for him?
Wiz: Who cares about his birthday? Honestly nobody... But he is a Pokemon Trainer, he is the son of Delia Ketchum, and what about his father? I don't know about him! Anyway when he first woke up on a new morning on the first day of his Pokemon adventure, but he over slept and was late to get a Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur... But when he showed up they were already taken and apparently, Professor Oak gave him a Pikachu, an electric mouse Pokemon.
Boomstick: The first few days with Pikachu didn't go so well, because he wouldn't do anything for Ash... except for the time Pikachu taunted him before, but don't worry about that, Ash was attacked by plenty of Spearows, and didn't turn out so well, wouldn't forget the time Ash outran them by jumping into a lake, with an injured Pikachu...
Wiz: Yeah and stole Misty's bike, then broke it after, R.I.P!
Boomstick: Anyway on to Ash's Pokemon he will be using!
Wiz: First up, we have Pikachu! He was Ash's first ever Pokemon! He is an electric mouse pokemon.
Boomstick: He does NOT like being in the Poke Ball!
Wiz: Although Ash never let him evolve, kept him as Pikachu for his whole life! Anyway his moves are Quick Attack, Electro Ball, Iron Tail, and Electroweb! Let's just see how these moves can keep up in DEATH BATTLE! But hey a yellow mouse is cute, but looks deadly when you mess with it!
Boomstick: Next up, we have Charizard, a fire dragon Pokemon! As Charmander he was discovered by Ash, Brock and Misty when he was lying down under a leaf, trying to block out the rain, but he joined Ash and his team along the way!
Wiz: Charizard MUST BE A BADASS FIRE POKEMON! Sure he does look mad but..... Heh.
Boomstick: I bet, anyway Charizard's moves are Flamethrower, seems flamey! And Dragon Rage, and the Take Down attack! And also the Dragon Tail.
Wiz: Third we have Greninja, this Pokemon is from X and Y! He was first Froakie before then Frogadier, I think he's amazing! He also has this Ash-Greninja form, seems like him and Ash combined, but more of a weird power though, his moves are Cut, Double Team, Aerial Ace, and Water Shuriken. How will he do in this fight?
Boomstick: Let's not get too excited using him Wiz...
Wiz: Fourth we have up is Infernape! A monkey flame Pokemon
Boomstick: A monkey what?
Wiz: Yes a Fire Monkey Pokemon! This is from Ash's Diamond and Pearl series, His moves are Mach Punch, Dig, Flame Wheel, and Flamethrower, same as Charizards to burn someone's head off!!!
Boomstick: Fifth, here we have some grass Pokemon: Sceptile! He is from Ash's Heonn team, when he was little he looked like a cute Treecko, not surprised. Pokemon are cute! This Grass Pokemon's moves are Solar Beam, Leaf Blade, Pound and Bullet Seed!
Wiz: Even grass type Pokemon are powerful! What would that come to be?
Boomstick: The last and not least, the sixth Pokemon is Talonflame, this is like some fire bird, would kind of remind me of Moltres but a little bit, he is from Ash's Kalos Team, he was first Fletching when he first met up with Ash, who kinda struggled getting this Pokemon on his team... But for know let's move on!
Wiz: Talonflames moves are Brave Bird, Flame Charge, and Steel Wing!
Boomstick: That's enought talk for Ash's Pokemon, so remember how Team Rocket got more annoying and tried to steal Pikachu? Well maybe because he's a rare type of Pokemon, or valuable! Team Rocket just continues to blast off again and again nonstop, haha! But hey, Ash is a good trainer and best friend to Pikachu!
Wiz: But is he ready to fight?
Ash: Pikachu, I choose you!
Pre Death Battle[]
Wiz: All right the combatants are set let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEAAAAAAAAAAATHH BAAAAAATTTTTLEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Death Battle[]
(Location: City park at evening)
Ash was training his Pokemon at a city park, Pikachu shocked the nearby tree as Ash clapped for his Pokemon, and gave Pikachu a high five.
Ash: Good job Pikachu!
Infernape jumped into the training scene and punched the ground, and became a flame ball rolling towards Pikachu, who knocked it back with his Iron Tail as Ash cheered for his Pokemon training, he then saw Greninja and Charizard sitting on a bench, but he gets them out on to the field, Talonflame and Sceptile hang around the park walking on the sidewalk. All of his Pokemon caught up to him, Ash left them for training.
Ash was watching from the distance, cheering for his team.
Ash: Good job you 6!
Pikachu walks to Ash, but he accidentally tripped over Mario, who fell on the ground. Pikachu looked at Mario, but Ash quickly picked his Pokemon up and Mario stood up and clenched his fists at the mouse Pokemon.
Ash: It was just an accident, okay?!
Mario grew more anger as he began to throw fireballs towards Pikachu and Ash. Greninja ran over to see what the whole incident was all about, but it was too much of a problem between Mario and Ash. All his Pokemon ran up and confronted Mario, who landed a punch on Pikachu's face for what he had done, but there was no choice for the problem.
Ash: Pokemon GO!
FIGHT!
Pikachu ran on to the battlefield, Mario jumps back and creates two fireballs sending them towards Pikachu, who quickly deflected them with his Iron Tail sending the fireballs back at Mario, who dodges and grabs Pikachu by his tail, hurling him into a tree. The plumber quickly grabbed his Ultra Hammer out as Talonflame flew at him with full speed, but Mario swatted him away with his Ultra Hammer. Mario went in and kicked Talonflame, who uses Brave Bird and flies at Mario, knocking him over with an explosion and sending the plumber up into the air, but Mario put his Wing Cap on and continued to fly around in the sky, but Talonflame flew at Mario with a Flame Charge, hurting the plumber as he screams and making him fall back down to the ground, Pikachu then threw several Eletro Balls at Mario, who countered with fireballs just creating an explosion, as their attacks collided and Mario ran at Pikachu and landed a punch on his face. Mario went in to jump on Talonflame, who uses Flame Charge again and slams Mario, sending fire on the plumber. But Mario pulled out his Ice Flower and had it equipped, summoning ice to his hands and throwing several iceballs at Talonflame, stopping the Pokemon's attack as his flame attacks were fading away, the iceballs then froze Tatonflame, who fainted from the battle.
TALONFLAME FAINTED!
Ash quickly returned Talonflame to his Pokeball, and Charizard made a hard landing on the ground which sent Mario flying back, the Pokemon breathes fire on Mario using Flamethrower, but Mario ducks down and grabbed Charizard's tail, spinning and throwing him far away, but the fire dragon Pokemon attempted to use the Dragon Tail on Mario, but he back dodged and ran back at Pikachu, who whacked the plumber with an Iron Tail and slapped Mario away, but he tried throwing iceballs at Charizard and Pikachu, the mouse Pokemon then struck with a Electroweb, trapping Mario inside. Charizard noticed the plumber was trapped and attacked him with Dragon Rage hurting Mario with a giant flame ball, and knocking him on the ground and Mario lost his power up. The plumber ran at Charizard, punching him in his throat and hurling him on Pikachu, causing the two Pokemon to fall on the floor.
A Water Shuriken was hurled into the fight, which Mario leaped away from. Greninja revealed himself and attacked with Double Team, creating multiple clones and hurling a lot of Water Shurikens at the plumber, but Mario got soaked and then equipped his Boomerang Flower and Boomerang Suit, he took out a boomerang and tossed it at Greninja, this time hurling multiple boomerangs at the clones of Greninja, but they countered with a Cut attack, slicing the boomerangs in halves and Charizard hurled Mario up, and Greninja slammed Mario down with an Aerial Ace, and the plumber was knocked out of his power up.
Charizard attacked Mario with a Take Down, but the plumber rolled away from it and caught the Pokemon by his tail, swinging Charizard around and around, making him dizzy and throwing the Fire Type Dragon Pokemon into the lake, and Charizard was damaged by the water.
CHARIZARD FAINTED!
Ash returned Charizard to his Pokeball, and Infernape leaped in by punching Mario in the face with a Mach Punch. The plumber threw multiple punched and kicks on Infernape, who countered by using Flamethrower but Mario equipped his Penguin Suit and ran sliding on the ground and throwing iceballs at Infernape, who dug underground using Dig. Mario saw the Pokemon gone and Pikachu threw more Electro Balls at Mario, who countered with a wave of iceballs. The Ice Balls and Electro Balls collided, creating a huge explosion sending Mario and Pikachu away from each other, Infernape appeared from the ground and was behind Mario, who uses a Ground Pound and sending Infernape back into the ground, the plumber dropped down iceballs at him, but Infernape rolled in as a Flame Wheel and hit Mario on the chest, the plumber's power up banished away.
Pikachu attacks Mario with a Quick Attack and traps him in another Electroweb, allowing Infernape to hit Mario with a Mach Punch and then a Flamethrower directly on him, Mario was burnt and freed himself from the web, he then equipped his Propeller Mushroom and gaining his Propeller Suit, he went up flying towards the sky, and Pikachu tried to jump but the plumber went down descending and drilled on to Pikachu, who faints and Mario leaped off him.
PIKACHU FAINTED!
Infernape, Sceptile, and Greninja remained on the battlefield. Greninja uses Double Team again as Mario equipped his Double Cherry, creating clones of himself. The plumber's clones clashed with Greninja's clones, meanwhile Mario threw a punch on Greninja, who countered using Cut and all of his clones used the same attack, taking down Mario's clones. Mario took his time and equipped his Hammer Suit, he then threw a bunch of hammers at the three Pokemon, they all forced themselves to dodge, but Greninja hurled Water Shurikens at Mario, who countered by tossing hammers, but Sceptile uses Bullet Seed and shoots seeds at Mario, who took them down with hammers.
Infernape ran at Mario as the Flame Wheel rolled at him, but the plumber jumped and dodged the attack, Infernape then crashed into a tree, and got back up running at Mario with a Mach Punch, but the plumber threw hammers and making them land on the Pokemon's face, and Mario runs over to Internape, knocking him out with a powerful punch in the face.
INFERNAPE FAINTED!
Ash put Infernape back in his Pokeball and Greninja glared at Mario, using Aerial Ace to strike him down and slam him to the floor, and Sceptile uses Pound on Mario, who countered by equipping his Rock Mushroom and rolling at Sceptile with a lot of force, but the Pokemon decided to counter with a Solar Beam, blasting it towards Mario, but it bounced off him as he rolled and hit Sceptile again, Sceptile uses Leaf Blade and cut off Mario's Rock Suit, the plumber lost his power up, and Greninja threw in Water Shurikens, they damage Mario and send the plumber flying back, but Mario pulled out his Tanooki Suit, and equipped it.
Mario then quicky turned into a statue to confuse the Pokemon, but Sceptile tried to sense where the plumber was, but Sceptile spotted a statue, and thought that was Mario hiding, the plumber had already reverted back to normal and Sceptile uses Bullet Seed and shot seeds on Mario, who loses his power up. Sceptile charged another Solar Beam, when Mario noticed he pulled out his Metal Cap and equipped it, the huge blast of the Solar Beam was shot at Mario, but the attack didn't effect him, the plumber strikes his leg down at Sceptile, who uses Pound on Mario, slapping him, his power up ran out as Sceptile continued to slap him, but Mario quickly uses a Ground Pound and lands on top of Sceptile, knocking him down, the Grass Type Pokemon recovered slowly.
Greninja hopped in and transformed into Ash-Greninja, who attacked Mario with a bunch of Water Shurikens, and then Sceptile charged at Mario with a Pound, punching him back at Greninja, who attacked with Aerial Ace, and then Sceptile shot seeds at the plumber, Mario found himself in an endless rampage! The Pokemons attacks hit Mario, who leaps away from them and landed back on the ground. Mario had his Super Star activated and flashed the colors of a rainbow, he then ran at the Pokemon who became confused wondering why he was all colorful in a rainbow light. Greninja tried attacking with Water Shurikens as Sceptile blasted seeds from the Bullet Seed attack, none of their attacks had effected Mario.
Mario ran at Sceptile with a punch, and kicking him multiple times, Greninja jumped in the way but Mario knocked the Frog Pokemon back as he continued to punch Sceptile and this time landing more punches, while holding the Pokemon's throat and punching him in the face, knocking Sceptile out making him feel unconcious
SCEPTILE FAINTED!
Greninja tried running away from Mario, who grabbed the Pokemon and hurled him into a tree. Mario's Super Star had expired and Greninja shot more Water Shurikens at the plumber, but Mario slides under them, and attempted to grab Greninja's leg and throw him down. Mario quickly launched himself at Greninja, who countered with Aerial Ace and knocked Mario back, but the plumber walked to the Pokemon and swung with a kick, hurling Greninja on to Ash, who threw his Pokemon back on to the field, Mario prepared for his Final Smash and his hands engulfed into flames, as he sends a wave of two massive fireballs at Greninja, who fainted from the heat.
GRENINJA FAINTED!
K.O.
Ash returned Greninja into his Pokeball and rushed his Pokemon to a nearby Pokemon Center, and Mario walks away from the park.
Results[]
Boomstick: NOW WHAT WAS THAT? Mario time?!
Wiz: Well, Mario's power ups may be similar to the Pokemon Ash has, like the moves. But Mario's power ups are way stronger and hard for the Pokemon to coutner, to say the Super Star, Metal Cap, and Mario Finale come in handy as strong powers, sure Ash's Pokemon way have had the right attacks for Mario, but they couldn't handle his powers.
Boomstick: Mario had plenty of options to defend from Ash's Pokemon, like the Mega Mushroom, Blue Shell, Rainbow Star, and maybe he could have turned the Pokemon into gold with the Gold Flower, who doesn't want money?
Wiz: Obviously you do Boomstick, but we know Mario's face more opponents like Sonic, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Cackletta, Dark Star, Bowser Junior, and the Koopalings.
Boomstick: The plumber did lose to Sonic in 2011, but won in 2018, how lucky was he in a rematch? But poor Ash, I guess...
Wiz: The winner is Mario.
