Description[]
Two comic book powerhouses that seek to rule over and wipe out all races that they deem weak and inferior compared to their respected kind. Who will win and who will fall?
Intro[]
(Cue Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: Villains... Every single one of them has an end goal that they want to reach.
Boomstick: Whether they want to get revenge on someone else, destroy everything in existence, gain ultimate power, or how about conquering the planet for the survival of their people.
Wiz: Magneto, the master of magnetism.
Boomstick: And General Zod, once general of the Kryptonian army.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Magneto[]
(Cue Xmen: Magneto Super Theme Song)
Wiz: Born and raised in Nuremberg, Germany by a middle class Jewish family. Max Eisenhardt was a mutant that lived a difficult and tragic life. Nazis were roaming the streets messing with any jewish people they could get their hands on. This eventually caused Max and his family to move to a Jewish section of Warsaw where the Warsaw Ghetto was being built nearby.
Boomstick: Spending his time in the ghetto turned Max into a smuggler for food and supplies. It didn't last long as the Nazis began transporting the ghetto's inhabitants to an extermination camp, so Max and his family attempted to escape.
Wiz: Unfortunately, Max and the rest of the family were quickly discovered, captured, and soon prepared for execution.
Boomstick: Before the soldiers pulled their triggers, Max's father sacrificed himself by pushing Max out of the firing line and into a mass grave. The smell must be horrible!
Wiz: Making a run for it from the mass grave, Max was caught a second time! And sent to Auschwitz, where he would be forced to become a Sonderkommando, who were prisoners during the Holocaust that were forced to aid in the disposal of gas chamber victims and corpses.
Boomstick: It actually turns out it wasn't that bad bec-
Wiz: Wasn't that bad? Boomstick, Max witnessed his entire family die in seconds, he got captured twice, and was forced to dispose the bodies of once living innocent people.
Boomstick: Let me finish. It wasn't that bad because Max actually ended up in the same concentration camp with the girl who he'd had a crush on when he was younger. The two then escaped together during a revolt and lived a happy life with one child in secrecy. See it turned out fine.
Wiz: Until an angry mob that spurred and feared Max's powers, who by the way goes by Magnus now, killed his daughter and burned down their house.
Boomstick: Oh... Well at least Max- I mean Magnus unleashed his cool mutant powers upon them for the first time.
Wiz: And once his wife found out about his powers, she left Magnus to later give birth to two mutant twins before she died. People then went on a manhunt for Magnus so he was forced to change his name again! This time to Erik Lehnsherr.
Boomstick: Damn, my man can't catch a break.
Wiz: Relocating to Israel, Erik met another mutant named Xavier. The two became best friends until one day they got into a debate about what will happen to humanity once the rise of mutants begin. With different views about humanity, they separated and went on their own paths.
Boomstick: Magnu- I mean Erik believed that in the future mutants will become the dominant life form on the planet so he sets out either to create a special homeland on Earth where mutants can live peacefully, or attempt to conquer the whole planet and enslave humanity for the name of mutantkind. This is also where he gave himself a dope super-villain name, Magneto.
Wiz: Magneto has the power to control the fundamental force of electromagnetism. He can manifest this power to do many things like projecting magnetic forcefields, manipulate any metal and even non-metallic objects via metal ores they may contain, fire magnetic rays to destroy things, can fly, manipulate iron within someone, sense the natural electromagnetic auras from living beings, magnetize objects, able to boost his power from the magnetic field of the planet, fire lightning and electricity, and thanks to his helmet he has telepathic resistance.
Boomstick: That is a lot of magnetic...
Wiz: They don't call him Magneto for nothing. He's also an omega level mutant, which is someone with the most powerful genetic potential of their mutant abilities.
Boomstick: Makes sense because he's fast enough to react and protect himself from barrages of bullets, catch Quicksilver who runs faster than the speed of sound, hit Nightcrawler right after he teleports in, and is stated to activate his powers "at the speed of thought".
Wiz: He's also pretty deadly without his powers, capable of drawing blood from Cable with a single punch, knocked out an Asgardian troll with a strike, shattered the armor of several men, and briefly stunned Beast with a punch; the same guy that takes hits from Juggernaut and Hulk.
Boomstick: For durability: Magneto was still standing after getting punched in the face without his helmet from Colossus, which would usually decapitate a normal human being. He also survived a mach 5 punch to the face, a blast from Exodus who can fire powerful energy able to destroy surrounding buildings, took an optic blast from Cyclops which is strong enough to blow the top of a small mountain, hits from Namor the Sub-Mariner whose punches were able to make Sentry bleed, and Black Bolt who could punch the Thing 100 feet away!
Wiz: He also has his magnetic forcefields which make it even harder to damage him. They can easily protect him from nuclear explosions, defend him from some attacks by Cosmic Spider-Man (He does feel it however), a blast from Phoenix, Ghost Rider's hellfire, and at full concentration he was able to block a weapon that was built to punch through planets!
Boomstick: Everything we said above may already sound impressive, but that was just his normal physical stats (Except for magnetic forcefields). With his electromagnetic control: Toppled a entire mountain, collapsed a city in a weak state, repositioned 37 orbital satellites to fire down upon earth, redirects a volley of nuclear missiles, restrained a metallic alien the size of a city, disables the Avengers by reversing the flow of their blood, flew fast enough to appear as a blur, and pulled a city sized bullet moving at light speed from the solar system to earth! The effort to pull this off almost killed him as well! This guy is unstoppable!
Wiz: Not exactly. He has been defeated by the X-Men on some occasions, ambushed and punched to the ground by a peak human, lost to Doctor Doom which isn't all that surprising considering it's DOOM, manipulating energies can take a toll on his body, he is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces when severely injured, and had a mental breakdown when Mister Fantastic used a wooden gun on him.
Boomstick: Wait what?
Wiz: Here.
Boomstick: But still! For an old guy he's such a dangerous threat.
Wiz: Well they did place him in the omega level mutants category for a reason.
General Zod[]
(Cue General Zod's Theme)
Wiz: Superman, everyone has seen and heard of his backstory.
Boomstick: He's an alien named Kal-El that came from a far away planet after it had suddenly exploded, basically making him the only survivor of his entire race.
Wiz: Or so we thought because over time it has been revealed that Kal is not the last Kryptonian.
Boomstick: Meet General Zod, or by his real name Dru-Zod.
Wiz: As his title suggests, Zod was ranked as a general of the military forces at Krypton. He also knew Superman's father Jor-El, who was an intelligent scientist before his death. A space program engineered by renegade scientist Jax-Ur was abolished after the destruction of the inhabited moon Wegthor.
Boomstick: During this time, Zod was known to be sort of a megalomaniac, which makes sense because he attempted to take control of Krypton for himself.
Wiz: Zod led an army of robotic duplicates of himself, but he was eventually defeated. As his punishment, Zod was sentenced to be exiled in the Phantom Zone, which was a pocket dimension utilized as a prison for criminals, for 40 years until he returned.
Boomstick: Lucky bastard though. After he was left in the Phantom Zone the planet shortly exploded, killing just about every Kryptonian.
Wiz: Except for Superman of course. Kal would later come across and open the Phantom Zone, releasing Zod onto our planet Earth. Thanks to our planet's yellow sun, Zod gained a variety of powers similar to Superman.
Boomstick: Now posing as a threat, Superman was forced to oppose him and return him back to his dimensional prison.
Wiz: Though spending time in the prison probably wasn't a good choice because while he was trapped there; he ended up meeting other criminals from Krypton, allying with them to battle Superman and his friends for years to come.
Boomstick: His goal pretty much remained the same: Kill anyone who opposed him and conquer the planet. It was simple as that.
Wiz: General Zod possesses high level super strength, speed, and endurance. Like any Kryptonian under a yellow sun he has heat vision, super hearing, x-ray vision, telescopic and microscopic vision, freeze breath, virtual invulnerability, accelerated healing, and flight.
Boomstick: Because of his background as a general and soldier, Zod possesses lots of knowledge of battle strategies and military tactics, and knows some Kryptonian hand to hand combat techniques.
Wiz: He utilizes Torquasm-Rao, a hard and brutal fighting style. As well as Torquasm-Vo, a more fluid and spiritual way of combat.
Boomstick: Never expected Zod to be the type of soldier to learn fluid and spiritual combat techniques.
Wiz: Thanks to the sun god Apollo, Zod gained a massive amp to make him even closer to becoming Superman's equal. He can fire heat vision hot enough to disintegrate a normal human being instantly into ash. Heat vision can reach temperatures that exceed over 50,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit, and one important note is that Kryptonians can change the intensity of this dangerous power as well.
Boomstick: They can make it as intense as blaster fire from Star Wars to a goddamn Kamehameha!
Wiz: Zod is strong enough to shatter Green Lantern constructs with ease-
Boomstick: Why does it seem like everyone can shatter Green Lantern constructs?
Wiz: You can blame DC for treating the Green Lanterns like that. Anyway, he launched Krypto the Superdog away from him with his heat vision, killed a large monster with minimum use of his powers, gave Superman a big beat down without the intention of killing him, took down Superboy in two hits, defeated Cyborg Superman with a precise punch, took down Martian Manhunter with rapid punches, staggered Doomsday, and uppercutted Mongul hard enough to send him flying through a satellite and into space in seconds!
Boomstick: He's able to survive having part of his head blasted off, shrugged off some attacks from Superman only to punch him away, was unharmed by one of Vibe's full powered shockwaves, capable of walking through a blast from Tunguska, which was shown to have the power of 1000 soviet soyuz space rockets, felt only a tickle by Hawkman's mace, resisted heat vision from Superman, and survived the combine attacks by the Suicide Squad and Cyborg Superman.
Wiz: For speed Zod has moved so fast that Superman claims he moves like a ghost, even with his various enhanced visions. He has also kept up with Wonder Woman and flew from Jekuul from Space Sector 2811 to Earth. This is a faster than light speed feat.
Boomstick: Luckily, he has some weaknesses to keep him from being too overpowered.
Wiz: He's weak to Kryptonite, vulnerable to magic, and while he can go up against Superman he still pales in comparison and mostly loses in their fights.
Boomstick: But how? Zod is way better trained, and has the same powers!
Wiz: That is most likely due to the fact that Superman has spent under the sun way more than Zod has. Basically, Zod is better trained and has more experience in combat, but Kal has better experience with his powers thus making him more powerful. Though, he's still a heavily dangerous threat.
Boomstick: Well no wonder some people kneel before him.
Intermission[]
Wiz: The combatants are set and ready to cause chaos! Now without further a do, Boomstick?
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE[]
Genosha is under attack as its mutant citizens battle one another. Buildings are toppled and explosions constantly erupt. Magneto observes the chaos below from a window in his throne room. He grits his teeth and glares, but calms down when Wanda and Pietro enter.
Magneto: It doesn't make any sense. I built this place as a sanctuary for mutantkind yet... we have all of a sudden become divided and turned on each other.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver glance at one another. Wanda then speaks up.
Scarlet Witch: We might have found a clue.
Scarlet Witch retrieves a ripped black and gray cloth with a big red Z drawn on it. Magneto raises an eyebrow at this material.
Scarlet Witch: All of the traitors wore black suits with this symbol on it.
Magneto: Hmph, Pietro go provide support on the battlefield. Wanda, get children and the non-fighters to safety.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver: Yes father.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver exit the room. Magneto changes his gaze back towards the chaos; he notices three people floating at a far distance that are firing red laser beams out of what appears to be their eyes. Magneto sticks his arm to his side, which pulls his helmet forward and into his palm. He then puts on his helmet. Meanwhile, General Zod, Faora, and Nam-Ek float victoriously over the city of mutants.
Zod: These "mutants", will make fine soldiers for our total domination over this planet!
Magneto: Not if I have anything to say about it!
Zod and his allies avert their gaze towards Magneto, who is hovering right in front of them.
Zod: And you are?
Magneto: I am Magneto, the master of magnetism and ruler over this country. You have murdered, attacked, and pinned my people against one another... and that I cannot accept!
Faora and Nam-Ek slowly float forward for battle, but Zod raises his hand.
Zod: Go! Let me deal with this one.
They then both fly away and Zod smiles at this newcomer.
Zod: We should join forces. I have heard how humanity treats mutants. You should want to rule this planet for the survival of mutantkind, while I also want to rule it for my race as well! Together we could be unstoppable!
Magneto: I don't even know who or what you are!
Zod: Ha! I'm a Kryptonian, that alone should make you want to join me.
Magneto is stunned for a second at the thought of another Kryptonian.
Magneto: Impossible I thought there was only one Kryptonian!
Magneto then slowly moves his fingers behind him. A random metal plate levitates up into the air, it sharpens itself and points right at Zod.
(Cue |Skip to 1:27| Arcade Man of Steel )
Zod: Well what do you say?
Zod reaches out his hand and waits for Magneto to shake it as an agreement of working together.
Magneto: You are correct, I do want to conquer the planet... But not with the likes of YOU!
With the flick of his wrist the metal blade flies right towards Zod's skull. However, Zod reacts and catches it with ease. He inspects the blade before crushing it in his hand, then throws it aside.
Zod: Magnetism you say? Well, this'll be interesting.
In an instant, Zod quickly flies up to Magneto and throws a punch.
FIGHT![]
Magneto creates a magnetic forcefield right on time. The hit knocks Magneto back a little, Zod then throws a kick which sends Magneto crashing through multiple buildings and onto a road. Zod uses his x-ray vision to check for his opponent's corpse, but to his surprise Magneto appears to be fine. Zod does a superhero landing on the ground. With one hand he lifts and throws a large nearby truck, but Magneto stops it by aiming his hand at it. Magneto then sends the truck back but the general pierces his hands through the middle of its side, and tears the vehicle in half. Magneto lifts a bunch of metal pieces around him and sharpens them into knives. He then launches them as a barrage. Though all they do is bounce off of Zod's body.
Zod: What a weak attempt. I expec-
Before Zod could finish his sentence, Magneto constricts him with a metallic tentacle. It flails him around in the air then slams him headfirst into the ground. Zod is able to break free of it, but more tentacles continue to wrap around him. He soon looks like he is in a cocoon.
Magneto: I'll crush the life out of you!
Magneto tightens the metal around Zod's body.
Zod: This is nothing.
His super strength allows him to burst out of his ensnarement. Zod's eyes suddenly glow bright red; red laser beams are fired out like a machine gun. Magneto creates a magnetic forcefield, which protects him from the blasts. Zod leaps into the air and slams the floor. The powerful shockwave from the impact knocks Magneto several meters away. The Kryptonian then walks confidently towards the mutant, who begins to get back onto his feet.
Magneto: Your overconfidence will be your downfall.
Zod: I highly doubt that...
Magneto creates a large hammer and slams it down on his enemy.
Magneto: What were you saying again?
Zod attempts to get back up, but the hammer is swung fast and hard into his side, which launches him straight inside a building. Magneto then reaches both of his arms out towards the building. By swinging his arms downward the building collapses, creating a huge dust cloud. Magneto smiles.
Magneto: What a fool. No one can defeat the master of magnetism!
General Zod yells out a war-cry from underneath the pile of rubble. It explodes with a red beam blasting straight into the sky. Zod hovers into the air. He tackles Magneto, who is still surrounding himself in his forcefield, hard enough to create a huge crater. Zod begins striking the forcefield so fast that it looks like he has more than two arms. The surrounding area slowly crumbles apart, Genosha trembles from each hit, and Magneto sinks deeper into the ground from Zod's punches.
Zod: Why are you cowering behind this shield!? Afraid to take a hit? You should be because compared to me you are just a man battling a god!
Magneto: You are no god and I am no normal man!
Magneto aims one of his arms to fire a lightning bolt. The bolt shocks Zod onto his back. He then shoots several more bolts that prevent Zod from getting back up. Zod grits his teeth. He digs his hands into the ground to tear a huge rock, and chucks it at his enemy. However, Magneto simply manipulates the ores in it to avoid him and sends it slamming right back into Zod. The general bounces across the ground like a rock getting skipped across water. Magneto sticks both of his arms to his left and right side. He draws in large amounts of metal which fly in near him. The metal pieces combine together to create an army of metal golems.
Magneto: Swarm him and tear him apart!

Zod rotates to see that he is surrounded. The metallic beings rush forward with the sound of their metal bodies clanking against one another. Zod grabs one by the head and crushes it. Another jumps on Zod's back for a choke hold. Zod throws it off towards a group of other metal golems, all of which are obliterated from the hit. He destroys each one with fast, fluid, and brutal attacks. However, there are too many and they keep on getting repaired by Magneto that they soon pile on top of the Kryptonian general. Underneath the pile of metal golems, Zod's eyes glow red and he blasts Magneto's creations off of him with his heat vision. He then finishes the rest of the golems off by completely melting them down.
Magneto: You're a strong opponent, but don't forget you are dealing with an omega-level mutant.
Zod: I do not care what you are. Omega-level mutant or not, you are still nothing but a human with special enhancements. I am superior and I will rain victorious.
Zod turns around to face Magneto only for a metal cube to strike him in the chest. It goes in for another strike, but Zod punches it into pieces with a single punch. Magneto uses the pieces of the box to create two giant hands. He manipulates the hands to do an attack combo on Zod. The hands then clap Zod in between them. Though, he is shown resisting the crush by pushing them away, and utilizes his ice breath to shatter the hands.
Magneto: I will show you the true power of magnetism!
As a blur, Magneto soars high above Genosha and into space. Zod watches in confusion and pursues after the mutant. Thanks to his super hearing, Zod can sense multiple objects descending upon him. A burning satellite falls downward. Zod dodges it, but another one crashes into him. He throws it aside to see a barrage of other satellites homing in on him like heat-seeking missiles. He fires his heat vision to wipe out a bunch, but more keep coming. Similar to how Superman flies, Zod sticks both of his arms forward, which allows him to bust through each satellite with ease.
Zod: You are only postponing the inevitability of your defeat.
Magneto spots Zod flying out of earth's atmosphere, rushing towards him. The two super-villains prepare to have their final fight in space.
(Cue Imperia)
Magneto: I admire your determination, sadly it ends here.
Magneto boosts his power from Earth's magnetic field. Then, he lifts Genosha's buildings off the ground. Zod looks behind him to see a cluster of skyscrapers and buildings passing by him to break apart and fuse around Magneto's body to form a humongous metal humanoid.
Magneto: MWHAHAAHAHA! WELCOME TO DIE!
The metal giant throws a punch that collides with Zod. The general uses his super strength to push back against its fist. His hands dent the giant's metal knuckles. Both villains struggle to hold each other back.
Zod: You... will... learn... to kneel... before... ZOD!
Zod rotates his body incredibly fast like a twister. This enables him to shred right through the fist and out the giant's back. He flies back in and out several more times, creating many holes out of the large metallic construct. Magneto sweats heavily from the effort of keeping the giant together. Eventually, Zod uses his x-ray vision to spot Magneto controlling everything within the giant's head. He flies up, busts inside the head, and tackles the magnetic user hard against a wall. Blood flies out of Magneto's mouth as Zod backhands his helmet off. Before he could project a forcefield to protect himself, Zod quickly punches his fist through his opponent's chest with his right arm. Magneto's eyes widen from the fatal blow. Zod grins and pulls his opponent closer to him.
Zod: Don't worry, I'll take good care of your mutants once they kneel before me...
Using his left arm he snaps Magneto's neck, then disintegrates his head into ashes by burning through it with his heat vision. With Magneto dead, the metal giant becomes motionless and disassembles itself. Zod lets Magneto's body float out in space while he retrieves his iconic helmet. He puts it on as he glances towards Earth.
Zod: They all will.
- KO!
Results[]
Boomstick: Zod and an army of mutants? That doesn't sound good at all...
Wiz: While Magneto's magnetic control is incredibly powerful and gives him a wider arsenal of abilities, it wouldn't be enough to defeat General Zod, who basically is superior to Magneto in just about almost every category.
Boomstick: Magneto has more experience with his abilities since he has been trying to perfect it since he was a kid. However, General Zod is a way better fighter and has tons of combat experience due to his Kryptonian military background.
Wiz: Now you may be thinking that is the same argument on why Superman has defeated Zod multiple times, but then again that's some speculation and plus it's Superman, who has pulled off all types of insane feats than Zod has never done before.
Boomstick: Zod is just way too durable. The dude survived having part of his head blasted off by his own heat vision, he shrugged off hits from Superman, and has resisted plenty of full powered attacks from other super powered beings. I don't think Magneto's primary method of attacking of chucking metal at him is going to do any good.
Wiz: Thanks to the Earth's sun and Apollo, General Zod gained the same powers and became about equal to Superman. Most of his powers should be able to counter almost whatever Magneto throws at him. Some examples: His heat vision can easily melt and destroy projectiles, his ice breath can freeze and shatter some objects, and his incredible super strength can enable him to break free of traps. He also has his super senses which make it easier to keep track of his enemy.
Boomstick: Not to mention that Zod's weaknesses are Kryptonite and magic, which Magneto doesn't possess or have any knowledge of.
Wiz: Realistically, all it takes is a good one or two hits for Zod to kill Magneto. Zod's attacks have made Superman bleed, staggered Doomsday, he knocked out Superboy with a couple hits, and upper cutted Mongul hard enough to send him into outer space! The only way Magneto is surviving is by using his magnetic forcefields, which are actually strong enough to block Zod's attacks. However, once Zod is able to get through them either by using his super-speed to attack Magneto before he has the chance to project the shields or tires Magneto out, the master of magnetism is pretty much dead meat.
Boomstick: But do you think Magneto could pull off a win if he went all out and full concentration? He was able to stop a city sized bullet and block a planet punching weapon.
Wiz: Magneto would definitely be harder to defeat, but I still don't think it's enough. As powerful and impressive he has been shown to be at full concentration, he has almost died several times and usually ends up going unconscious, which isn't a good idea to do when going up against an evil Kryptonian. The winner is General Zod!
