Wiz: Time...
Boomstick: Is a bitch!
Wiz: Right... Time is cruel and often leads many to ruin with only a select few being able to change the past, and in turn, their fate.
Boomstick: Like Lucina, the daughter of Exalt Chrom...
Wiz: And Petta, the daughter of Overlord Zetta.
Boomstick: He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Lucina[]
Wiz: Legends tell of far-off kingdoms filled with knights, magic, adventures and dragons. The kingdom of Ylisse was an idealistic country, spearheaded by the Exalt Chrom and his queen... erm...
Boomstick: We don't know, probably that one pegasus knight.
*Shows a picture of Cordelia on screen*
Boomstick: No, not that one.
*Shows a picture of Sumia on screen*
Boomstick: There you go.
Wiz: However, the legends came to an abrupt end. The entire country was reduced to rumble under the threat of the Risen.
Boomstick: Which are basically medieval zombie knights that killed everyone.
Wiz: With the king and queen dead, it fell to the eldest member of the surviving royal family to guide the future back to normal and even potentially change the past.
Boomstick: And her name was Lucina.
Background:
- Name: Lucina
- Age: 19-21
- Height: 152 cm
- Crown Princess of Ylisse
- Daughter of Chrom and ???
Wiz: Lucina, being the last of her family besides her... odd... cousin, basically became the new ruler of what was left of humanity. Her days were spent fighting off an endless horde of Risen created by the Fell Dragon Grima who wanted nothing more than the destruction of everything.
Boomstick: It got so bad that Lucina and the rest of the future baby squad had to ask God herself to fix this shit, however, since they didn't have all of the gems in the Fire Emblem, she couldn't do much. So instead, Lucina and her crew travelled back in time so they could stop the literal end of the world and save their parents.
Wiz: However, since Lucina didn't want to change history to the point of erasing herself, she would don a butterfly-shaped mask and take the identity of her ancestor, the Hero King Marth.
Boomstick: And now you know why she's Marth's Echo Fighter in Smash. And just like her many times great grandpappy, she wields his legendary sword, Falcon.
Wiz: Falchion.
Parallel Falchion:
- Legendary Sword
- Strong against axes.
- Can seal immortal beings.
- Can heal its user.
- Only possible to be wielded by Marth's family.
Boomstick: Whatever, what does matter is that Falcon is a super badass sword that's older than dirt and can kill basically anything.
Wiz: Not quite, see, the Falchion was actually incomplete since it wasn't able to be blessed by the goddess Naga without the full Fire Emblem. When Lucina returned to the past, she managed to do so in an alternate future using another great Dragon.
Boomstick: And the time travel bullshit is getting even more confusing for me...
Wiz: Anyways, with Lucina's powered-up Falchion, it gained the ability to not only heal Lucina whenever she wants but also seal away Grima for over a thousand years.
Boomstick: Swords are cool and all, but there's

Wiz: Using a Second Seal, Lucina is able to freely change her class whenever she wants, giving her access to weapons and skills she didn't have access to previously.
Boomstick: As a Great Lord, Lucina figures that a sharp stick compliments her legendary sword, but hey, it gives her Aether. It may be a shit Up Special but it lets Lucina heal when she cuts an enemy before slashing through their defenses with her next attack.
Wiz: But if Lucina requires more mobility, Lucina can become a Pegasus Knight, swapping out her sword mastery for a spear and a pegasus stead to fly around the environment. This can be further upgraded to the Dark Flier class which lets Lucina use all types of magical tomes like darkness, wind, fire and electricity.
Boomstick: Better watch out for those arrows though. Speaking of arrows, as a Sniper, Lucina can take potshots at you with a huge fuckin' bow and arrow.
Wiz: And as a Bride, Lucina is able to use bows, spears and healing staves which can be used to... well heal, as well as repair equipment and teleport Lucina within a small area.
Boomstick: It also gives her an impractical as fuck dress.
Wiz: With all this and more, Lucina more than managed to live up to her heroic legacy.
Feats:
- Became the Champion of Arena Ferox.
- Prevented her father & mother's deaths.
- Slayed Grima.
Boomstick: She's strong enough to kill humans, dragons and human dragons with ease. She's even held off a zombie warrior horde mostly on her own.
Wiz: And despite her young age, her skill with a blade was enough to make her the champion of Arena Ferox which is where all of the strongest of the might-focused Ferox region come to battle. And Lucina beat most of them within a few months.
Boomstick: But none of that matters when compared to that giant asshole dragon in the sky.
Wiz: Grima is an absurd being for anyone to fight, his sheer size alone is 979.8 kilometres which is larger than most mountains. Its ability to move its own body would require 340.4 Gigatons of force.
Boomstick: But that's just the tame shit. Grima was able to kill Naga, remember her, she was one of the strongest dragons out there with even weak dragons being able to make an entire dimension filled to the brim with stars.
Wiz: And against all odds, Lucina could not only battle Grima, but with her powered-up Falchion, she was able to kill him too.
Weaknesses:
- Weapon Triangle.
- Isn't an expert at all weapons.
- Is used to fighting with a team.
Boomstick: That might sound too good to be true but Lucina ain't exactly perfect. While she can use a lot of weapons, she isn't suited to use them all, damn stat build.
Wiz: And Lucina, as much as she wishes otherwise, is only one person. She may be a pillar of strength in the future, but one person can only do so much on their own before being beaten.
Boomstick: Good thing she managed to reveal herself to her past mom and dad and, after one awkward 3DS animation hug, she saved their lives and even helped to save her kingdom from multiple invading armies and that one dragon we keep talking about.
Wiz: No one knows where Lucina went after her mission was complete, but once she knew her past self was safe, she vanished into the night, never to be seen again.
Boomstick: Except for Smash.
Wiz: Yes, Boomstick, except for Smash.
Petta[]
Boomstick: The Netherworld, better known as literally Hell, full of demons and demons and demons but they're hot enough to get a pass.
Wiz: To get what you want in such a literal hellscape, you need the immense strength to beat everyone into submission.
Boomstick: And there's no one who gets what they want, when they want it, like the appropriately named Zetta, the Badass Overlord.
Wiz: However, after burning the legendary Sacred Tome, Zetta's body was completely destroyed, leaving his future uncertain and a massive power vacuum in his wake.
Boomstick: Luckily for him, future Zetta managed to get laid and he had a time travelling daughter who was perfect to help him get his shit back, and her name was Petta.

Wiz: Boomstick... We literally know that Salome is her mother.
Boomstick: Enough of your fan theories, Wizard.
Wiz: Ugh... Anyways, born from the union of one of the strongest demons and the strongest undead human, Petta was always destined to be one of the strongest beings that the Netherworld had ever seen.
Boomstick: And since her dad was now a book with more pages than brain cells and no feet to move with, she figured she'd help him out of this awkward part of history.
Wiz: After worming her way into the army of Alexander, God of Destruction, Petta would plan for when her father awakened so she could take care of all of their enemies at once so her future parents would have nothing to worry about.
Boomstick: And she was strong enough that she didn't really need the help.

Wiz: Being a demon, Petta has superhuman strength, speed and durability, to the point that the average demon can casually wipe all of the stars in the night sky, and is functionally immortal with her father still being young after living for over twenty thousand years old.
Boomstick: She can fly, survive in the vacuum of space and cast powerful Star magic which lets her blast anyone with energy and even summon powerful beings, one of which is a giant robot that's bigger than a planet which punches it to death.
Wiz: On top of that, Petta is an expert at ranged weaponry, such as both handguns and bows and arrows. With these, she can land some absolutely absurd shots from kilometres apart.
Boomstick: But all that's small when compared to her Azure Prison, a skill where Petta makes an electrical cage that shrinks and crushes anyone inside and her signature Petta Beam.
Wiz: The Petta Beam is Petta version of Zetta's Zetta Beam. I see creative naming is genetic.
Boomstick: The Petta Beam is a laser that Petta shoots from her eyes and is strong enough to blow up entire planets with just one shot and reach all the way to the Moon.
Wiz: But what makes Petta special is her Time Drive ability.
Time Drive:
- Unlimited Time Travel ability
- Travel to past or future
- Teleportation
- Time Clones
- Time Stop
Wiz: Whenever Petta wants, she is able to freely travel through time to whatever point she wishes, without using any stamina. Aside from just visiting the past and future, Petta can use this to effectively teleport across the battlefield, using it to appear wherever she wants and blindsiding the opponent.
Boomstick: But that's just the tip of the iceberg, whenever Petta wants, she can call for another version of herself from a different point in time, with seemingly no limit for how long they stay around.
Wiz: Each of these Pettas are as strong as the last. At most Petta has managed to have five of herself teaming up to fight without causing any issues.
Boomstick: The only downside is that for every time clone she calls for, it means Petta has to do whatever she calls them for multiple times since, well, she's calling herself from the future for help.
Wiz: But that's not all, Petta is able to freely stop time for an undisclosed amount of time, allowing her to fill the area around her opponent with projectiles in the time allotted to her.
Boomstick: Because her time powers weren't overpowered enough...
Feats:
- Became a general of Alexander's army.
- Killed Alexander.
- Fought on par with Laharl and Killia.
Wiz: Even without her Time Drive, Petta was able to become a high-ranking member of Alexander's army which is made up of demons who each have lived for thousands of years at a bare minimum.
Boomstick: And she took it a step further when she went out and killed Alex himself.
Wiz: Alexander, who was already strong enough to be Zetta's rival, was so strong that he managed to destroy every universe in the multiverse one by one until he was the only thing that was left.
Boomstick: Even if it took millions of years, he was still destroying a multiverse with his bare hands, way to live up to the God of Destruction title.
Wiz: That being said, Petta isn't entirely perfect.
Weaknesses:
- Fairly Naive.
- SP Consumption.
- Wind Magic.
Boomstick: She needs SP to use most of her powerful abilities like her laser beam.
Wiz: And out of the three main types of elemental magic, Petta is weak to wind elemental magic in exchange for being resistant to fire and ice magic.
Boomstick: And she's fairly naive despite being a demonic time traveller, half the reason she even killed Alex was because she thought Zetta wanted him dead because they were rivals.
Wiz: While Petta didn't always see eye to eye with her father. She definitively managed to do one thing, prove to the world that she was the daughter of the Badass Overlord and earn the affection of her father of the past.
Boomstick: ... Okay, the analysis segments are over, pay up.
Wiz: Okay, okay, fine. Way to not make any comments about your own dad, by the way.
Boomstick: I don't care about this "emotional growth" thing, but you're paying me for it so whatever.
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLEEEEE!!!
Fight[]
The scene opens on a battlefield inside the courtyard of Ylisse castle. In the middle of the courtyard, Overlord Zetta and Exalt Chrom were clashing swords together in a heated fight.
Zetta: "Is that all you can manage human? Not a very good showcase for a king."
Zetta mocked as he charged up his Zetta Beam, shooting the lasers from his eye at Chrom's head which dodged out of the way while maintaining the sword struggle.
Chrom: "If you think I've shown everything I have to give then you're wrong."
Chrom pushed with his sword, briefly knocking Zetta's sword away and leaving him open for a stab, however, as soon as Chrom went for the killing blow, Zetta proceeded to grab the Falchion by its blade and pull it up, away from his stomach as a small trail of blood poured from Zetta's hand and down the Falchion's blade.
As the battle raged on, a bright blue portal would open in the sky outside of the castle. Out of the portal, hoped out Lucina who landed on her feet and immediately rushed towards the location where Zetta and Chrom were fighting.
Lucina: "Hold on father, I'm coming..."
Lucina spoke to herself as she ran. The second she reached the castle walls, she started to run up it as far as she could before stabbing into the wall with the Parallel Falchion and launching herself up, landing on the castle walls. She looked out and saw her father and Zetta in the middle of their sword fight.
Lucina: "Okay, here goes..."
Lucina said as she was perched on the ledge, her hand on her sword's hilt, ready to jump down.
However, before she could do so, Lucina heard the sound of a bow and arrow being pulled from behind her. She turned around and drew her sword, cutting an arrow clean in half.
Lucina saw the person who shot the arrow at her. It was a girl who looked visibly a lot younger than Lucina and wore both a crown and fairly regal clothing.
Petta: "Stop right there, father-killer!"
Petta yelled out as she magically made her bow disappear in a flash of light.
Lucina: "Father-killer?"
Lucina was confused, however, she still held her sword ready.
Petta: "I have travelled back in time to stop you from killing my father!"
Petta said as she stepped towards Lucina.
Lucina: "If that is the case, then I'll have to defeat you in order to save my father!"
Lucina said as she rushed towards Petta, ready to cut her down.
Fight!
Lucina leapt high into the air and began to somersault, her sword sticking out as she fell towards Petta. Petta sidestepped to the left and out of the way, the Parallel Falchion slashing into the ground. As Lucina looked to her left, her vision was met with a fist that launched Lucina into the air.
Despite her being sent into the air, Lucina managed to gather her bearings and landed on her feet. She readied her blade and rushed towards Petta. She delivered a rising slash which Petta avoided by leaping into the air, however, when she began to fall, Lucina positioned herself where Petta was going to land and thrust her sword up into her.
However, instead of stabbing her, Petta remained hovering in the air, just outside the range of Lucina's Falchion.
Lucina: "You can fly?!"
Lucina said as she looked up at Petta who was standing in the air above her.
Petta: "Well yeah, all demons can."
Petta said as a bright white energy started to charge in her hands. In a moment, Petta pushed her hands up into the air and made a magical circle form underneath Lucina's feet.
Lucina saw the bright Star magic emerge from the magic circle as balls that surrounded her in an instant before all of the magic balls of light flew into Lucina, who could do nothing but take a defensive stance with her sword.
The balls of magic engulfed Lucina in a bright blinding light, followed by an explosion which created a thick smoke cloud, making it impossible for her to be seen. As this was happening, Petta listened closely, waiting for Lucina to make a move or even a sound but Petta heard nothing from her opponent.
Petta: "Well, that was easy..."
Petta turned around and floated away, however, as she did, a new blue light emerged and an arrow shot out of the dissipating smoke cloud at Petta who didn't have time to block or dodge as the arrow slammed into her back, not digging into her body but causing enough of an impact to lightly damage her.
As Petta turned to look at Lucina, she noticed that she had completely changed clothes and was now wielding a large bow with another arrow at the ready. Lucina let go of her bowstring and fired another arrow into the air which Petta dodged by flying sideways and occasionally weaving out of the way to avoid being hit.
Petta, with a flash of light, would summon her own bow into her hands and fire back at Lucina. The arrows brushed past each other, slightly changing their angles so that they barely missed Petta and Lucina's faces, barely missing their cheeks.
Lucina crouched down and aimed another arrow as Petta dashed behind the castle wall, hiding her from Lucina's line of fire. Lucina maintained her stance as her eyes darted around, looking for when Petta reemerged.
In the blink of an eye, Petta flew out of her cover and high into the air, readying her bow. Lucina saw Petta and shifted her aim over to her and shot her arrow first. Before Petta could properly line up her shot, she saw the arrow coming towards her. She tried to dodge out of the way, however, it was too late and all she managed to do was move enough that the arrow hit her should instead of her head.
Now Petta was in a free fall, heading towards the ground. Lucina, wanting to capitalise on the opportunity, shot an arrow at where Petta was going to fall. Petta had lost a lot of her focus but when she saw the arrow coming closer to her chest, she instantly activated her Time Drive powers.
Time had frozen and Lucina with it. Now free to do whatever, she wanted, Petta started by pulling the arrow out of her shoulder before flying over to Lucina. She readied her bow with multiple arrows and got to work, firing an arrow, which moved a few inches before stopping due to the frozen time, before Petta leapt to a different position and shot another arrow, and another arrow and another.
Soon, every direction around Lucina was filled with arrows, all of which would be heading straight towards her soon.
When time resumed, Lucina was caught off guard by all of the arrows that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Lucina leapt up into the air to avoid being riddled with arrows, however, a few of them managed to pierce into her legs.
Lucina: "Gah!"
Lucina landed on the castle wall but quickly fell over from the pressure put on her injured legs.
Petta: "Ha, looks like it's game over for you."
Petta said as she aimed her next arrow at Lucina who was looking around her for a potential escape route to buy her some time. Lucina looked down the steep castle wall she was perched on and pushed herself down it.
Petta dashed over, her bow still ready to shoot Lucina, however, she was met with another flash of blue light and Lucina riding up into the air on a horse with wings, a spear placed firmly in her hands and a tome with an electrical symbol attached to her hip.
Lucina: "You're not the only one who can fly."
Petta looked up and flew after Lucina, ready to shoot her pegasus out of the air.
Lucina: "Not this time!"
Lucina brushed the tome at her hip, flipping its pages open and making it arc with magic. Soon, a bolt of lightning would come crashing down on Petta, shocking her entire body temporarily. This gave Lucina an opportunity, she flew at Petta, her spear firmly in her hands and stabbed at Petta's bow, severing its string and rendering it completely useless as it fell from Petta's hand.
Lucina turned her pegasus around and aimed her spear towards Petta, her arm preparing to throw it like a javelin at her heart. Lucina threw the spear at high speeds, it hurtled straight to Petta.
Just before it hit Petta, a strange wave of temporal distortion occurred and with that Petta had completely disappeared.
Lucina looked all around her, searching for where Petta was hiding.
Lucina: "Where did you g-"
Before she could even finish her sentence, a second temporal distortion occurred behind Lucina with Petta reappearing and punching her in the back of the head.
When Lucina turned to face Petta, she had disappeared again. Seconds later, she reemerged and kicked Lucina's chin before fading away again.
Lucina: "Stop running and face me!"
Lucina picked up her tome and called down various bolts of lightning all around, one of which managed to hit Petta as she reappeared.
Petta: "Ah!"
Lucina turned to the scream and rode her pegasus to her.
Lucina: "Ha!"
She thrust her spear at Petta, however, just as it was going to hit her chest, a loud bang went off and a small but fast projectile collided with the tip of Lucina's spear, launching it out of her hands and down to the ground.
Lucina turned to face the origin of the loud band and saw a second Petta standing there, holding a pistol with a smoking barrel.
Petta #1: "About time you showed up..."
The electrocuted Petta said.
Petta #2: "Well, I went through this so toughen up."
The new Petta said, waving her gun around.
Lucina: "There are two of you?!"
Lucina was shocked and quickly pulled out a tome to attack both of the Pettas, however, the second Petta pulled the trigger on her gun, shooting Lucina's pegasus, causing it to freak out enough for Lucina to fall off of the saddle and out of the air.
As she fell, Lucina saw both of the Pettas heading straight towards her. Both of them floated on either side of Lucina and shot out streams of electricity from their hands to each other, forming an electrified cage around Lucina. As the cage started to shrink, Lucina reached into her pouch, pulled out a blue seal and activated it, changing classes again into her Bride class with a tome attached to her hip and a bow in her hands.
Lucina used the tome on her hip to teleport with a flash of white light, appearing on top of the cage and using it as a platform. Now on top of the cage, she loaded her bow with two arrows and fired at both of the Pettas, both of which disengaged with their streams of electricity to dodge out of the way, however, Lucina managed to run towards Petta #1 and stomped on her face, using her as a platform before teleporting down the ground.
Now out of the sight of either Petta, Lucina used her tome to heal her body of any wounds received so far and went to retrieve her dropped spear that Petta #2 had shot. Lucina loaded the spear into her bow and steadied her aim at one of the Pettas who was looking for her.
With enough force, Lucina pulled back on the makeshift arrow and fired it into the air. Petta #2 saw the spear flying at Petta #1 and yelled out a warning.
Petta #2: "Petta, watch out!"
Before the spear could even reach her, three pairs of hands would appear from the ether, and the spear would be halted by grabbing its hilt. Lucina looked up and saw an additional three Pettas having appeared from nowhere.
Petta #3: "Don't worry, we're here to help."
Petta #4: "We've got this."
Petta #5: "Now, you, take this."
Petta #5 pulled out her own handgun which looked identical to Petta #2's handgun and gave it to Petta #1.
Petta #5: "You'll need this, now go."
Petta #5 grabbed Petta #1's shoulders from behind and pushed her, causing her to disappear entirely.
Lucina was more than a little confused by all of this, however, rather than be annoyed or overwhelmed by any of this, she pulled out her final Second Seal and changed back to her Lord Class, gallantly wielding the Parallel Falchion again.
Lucina: "Now, shall we finish this?"
All four of the remaining Pettas charged at her. Lucina dodged out of the way of the first Petta's punch, she then grabbed Petta by her shirt and threw her to the ground as hard as possible.
Before Lucina could stab her with Falchion, another Petta charged up Star magic in her hands and fired at Lucina as a beam of white energy. Lucina blocked the beam with her sword in a defensive stance. The beam slowly battered away at Lucina, pushing her back slightly.
As this was happening, two more Pettas, one of which Lucina had just thrown to the ground, flew from behind Lucina, ready to punch her from behind. Lucina saw the two approach and leapt high into the air, letting the two get hit by the Star magic beam which battered them for a bit before Petta #5 stopped the attack.
Seeing an opportunity, Lucina landed on the ground and with a single slash, cut across both of the Pettas' chests with Falchion, blood being sent flying from both of their open wounds.
Petta #3: "Ohh, that hurts..."
Petta #4: "We... We might need to pull back..."
Both of the Pettas faded away with a quick time distortion.
Lucina: "Run if you want, but I will not fall now."
Lucina noticed that she had already thinned her opponent's numbers. What she didn't see was Petta #2 aim her gun and take a shot at Lucina's leg, blowing a hole through her shin.
She fell to one leg, barely able to run with both legs but still not willing to give up. When Petta #2 went to shoot Lucina again, Lucina blocked the bullets with Falchion, the bullets being caught on the edge of the blade and, with a single swing, Lucina launched the bullets back at Petta, hitting her in the legs.
Petta #2: "This is getting bad, it's up to you now..."
And with that, only one Petta was left who floated down to the ground in front of Lucina.
Petta: "I haven't given up either, I still have my trump card."
Lucina: "Neither have I."
Lucina used the remaining strength in her leg and leapt high into the air, bringing her sword down onto Petta's shoulder, slightly cutting into it. However, before it could carve a hole through Petta, she faded away, using her Time Drive to teleport behind Lucina and deliver an uppercut strong enough to launch her into the air.
Lucina was sent flying, however, Petta wasn't finished, she brought both of her arms down onto Lucina's head, slamming her to the ground with an immense amount of force.
Petta flew down above Lucina as her eyes glowed.
Petta: "And now for my secret skill: Petta Beam!"
A bright ray of light shot out of Petta's eyes and straight through Lucina. The laser began to widen as it engulfed her body, singing and burning the field as it grew and grew, reducing everything, including Lucina to nothing but ash.
Petta: "And that's why I'm the Badass Daughter. Now, I wonder if Father is done yet."

Petta and Zetta are seen walking away from the blazing battlefield.
Wiz: You still can't make dad jokes.
Boomstick: Yeah I know, can we talk about why the shorty won?
Wiz: Well, that's the thing, it wasn't very hard to see why. In terms of raw stats, Lucina was hopelessly outmatched with ever her greatest displays of strength being vastly weaker than Petta's best.
Boomstick: Sure, beating a solar system creating God is fun and all, but even the most average of Disgaea demons can do that and Petta is a shit-ton stronger than that.
Wiz: While Lucina had a far great variety of styles of fighting and weapons, she ultimately didn't have the mobility advantage to combat Petta, who could freely fly whenever she wanted without the need of a pegasus.

- While this puts Lucina on a similar level to Petta, the speed difference as well as Petta's variety of abilities still makes her win.
Why did you give Lucina the ability to change classes in battle?
- Lucina can do it in a battle in Fire Emblem Awakening and since other media, like Project X Zone 2, allows her to do it, I figured it would be fine to do it here.

- Yes but that would be unlikely.
