Looksee[]
BACKGROUND
Real Name: The Look-See, Theodore "Teddy" Capshaw (speculated)
Age: ???
If someone does not release something of their value, he will come to take "a piece" and then murder the victim.
Apparently was created via a ritual where 5 people must die, and the 5th person has to be a young, short, long black-haired person.
Haunts the Harbor, where the Capshaw family came to visit, when their young son, Theodore, suddenly died.
It is speculated that this Looksee (yes, there can be more than one) is actually Theodore Capshaw, the young son of the family that visited the Harbor, which this Looksee haunted.
There can be apparently two Looksees, if another ritual is commenced like the one to create this Looksee, then possibly there can be an army of Looksees....God help us all.
ABILITIES
- Super-Strength (can lift someone mid-air), and has usually done major damage to his victims.
- Manipulation via using others' emotions against them, mainly with people experiencing grief.
- Teleportation, pretty self explanatory, and helps him get out of stressful situations.
- Has a clock that goes backwards, so could potentially have time manipulation.
- Usually works with a person that is used by the Looksee to help him find his victims.
FEATS
- Lifted someone mid-air, this happens in "The Second Thief."
- Defeated Mordeo, who can eat an entire alive human body.
- Defeated the Sunny Family Cult, who have made a living off of serial killing.
- Defeated the Soot, who has the power to harm the ones that try to harm the Soot.
- Has killed over around 5-10 people in the series, although he has probably killed more people behind the scenes.
- Has good durability, survived being stabbed in the neck with a fork.
FLAWS
- Can bleed, which possibly means it could die, although it's never known nor confirmed if the Looksee can die.
- Sometimes his victims aren't completely dead, such as with the first victim of the series, who was one of his "workers."
- Has not captured and/or killed Jenni, the main protagonist of the series, yet he has successfully captured all of his other victims and defeated pretty much all of them.
Scarecrow[]
BACKGROUND
Real Name: Jonathon Crane
Age: Unconfirmed, could be in his 30s. First appeared in a comic from 1941, making his debut almost 80 years ago.
Former psychologist, studied fears, then fired because he tested fear with a gunshot.
Was abused by his great grandmother, he was chased by crows in a straw bag, which is where his scarecrow motif came from.
His father was also a psychologist, but he was stuck inside his basement because he was experimenting with fears, which unfortunately would later reveal his death.
Crane did not originally have the fear toxins, he used to be just a normal criminal in a scarecrow costume, until he was brought back in the 80's and was given the toxins.
Crane wasn't the first to create a fear gas, Dr. Hugo Strange created a fear dust a couple of years after Crane's first appearance.
ABILITIES
- Skilled Martial Artist (Crane Style/ Violent Dancing Style)
- Immunity to emotion and his own fear toxin (mostly due to the gas masks.)
- Many toxins that hinder his "subjects."
- Very high intellect, as intelligent as the Riddler.
- Former shapeshifter.
- Is able to turn into the "Scarebeast," a transformation that turns Crane into a huge monster and loses all of his intelligence for strength and anger. Was created by the Penguin.
ARSENAL
- Fear toxin + trauma toxin, his primary weapon that goes into the victim's skin and overwhelms them with fear and nightmares.
- Firearms (guns), although he rarely ever uses them.
- Pitchforks, sycthes, and other farm tools, usually uses when he needs to strike a devastating blow.
- Yellow Lantern Ring, which feeds off of others fear for power, can shoot energy blasts and mess with gravity and more.
FEATS
- Defeated Catwoman with one punch, while usually Catwoman would win if hit with a single punch in most fights.
- Survived being mauled by the Killer Croc, whose lifting strength goes up to 2 tons (4,000 lbs.)
- Survived being attacked by another Venom User, mainly Bane.
- Is invisible to Black Lanterns because of his lack of emotion.
FLAWS
- Way too dependent on his fear toxins, uses them way too often to win.
- Not always immune to his own toxins, he is still human and still has his own fears, so it isn't always an effective weapon.
- Once defeated by a teeter-totter, a literal see-saw.
- Has chiroptophobia, the fear of bats, which partially explains his fear of Batman.
Pre-Death Battle[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLLEEEEEEEEE-
DEATH BATTLE[]
In the middle of Gotham, we see Crane going around the street as the Scarecrow, until he sees a note given to him.
Crane: "If you yourself cannot release, it will come to take a piece." Heh, release what? This?
Crane released the fear toxins around the city, with no effect.
After a while, the toxins fade away.
Right behind Crane was none other than the Looksee, wanting the piece that Crane couldn't release.
Looksee attacked Crane from behind, Crane tanked it while flying towards a building.
Crane was shocked from the appearance of the faceless stitched monster, he has never seen anything like him, but he still stays fearless. Looksee tries to intimidate Crane by disguising as Batman, which is one of Crane's only fears.
"Ugh, it's just Batman again. Come back out, you worm!" Shouted Crane, trying to get his attention.
It was no good, the Batman started punching Crane a bunch, trying to hinder him to tiredness.
Then....Looksee takes the mask off, which causes Crane to become angrier.
He threw a scythe at the Looksee, but he disappeared.
Crane released his toxins again, while Looksee was in the area.
The Looksee was on top of a building, watching Crane's little performance.
He disappeared again, waiting for the toxins to fade away, which they eventually do.
Looksee sneaks up on Crane again, this time trying to slash his head off, but Crane expected it and dodged it, and sprays the toxin onto Looksee, hindering his combat abilities.
Looksee had no idea what to do, but suddenly, Crane starts using his martial arts skills onto Looksee.
Looksee is unaffected, due to his durability. But the Looksee expected Crane to not do much pyshically. He then vanishes again, this time with the fear toxins in him.
Crane then grabs a scythe, preparing to strike.
Looksee then slashes at him once more, but Crane blocked it with his scythe, while Crane strikes and Looksee dodges as well.
Looksee uppercuts Crane and launches him into a brick wall.
Blood is seeming to come out of Crane.
"Ugh.....you're good....but you still have your fears..."
Looksee disappears again...waiting for Crane's next blow... Crane's blood started to get all over him, and drips on the ground.
He then appears behind Crane, which then he sprays the trauma toxin onto Looksee. The Looksee couldn't even handle it, the toxin was too much for him to get back up. The area became black...when suddenly....
We go to a nightmare hallucinaton where the Looksee is alone, hindered, and can't do anything.
He had no idea what was happening, considering this has never happened to him.
Suddenly, multiple versions of Crane appear around him, pointing their yellow lantern rings at him, absorbing his fear.
Looksee can't move, can't jump, and he was good as gone.
We then cut to reality...Looksee looks burnt out and hurt badly.
Crane goes for the kill by piercing a pitchfork into Looksee and tears his arm off with a scythe. The Looksee screams of agony, as he spits out his clock, which goes backward in time...but Crane destroyed it.
The pieces had not been released.....Crane could never give up the gas mask, it's the reason why he is the Scarecrow.
The Looksee decided to release himself.
Crane walks back to his lair in Gotham, with blood pouring over his uniform.
K.O.!
Reasoning[]
While Looksee has strength, manipulation, teleportation, and durability for him to survive very long, Crane had much, much more to counter Looksee's antics.
Crane has much more intellect, experience, durability, and others.
Looksee might've killed a couple of people, but Crane has defeated characters like Catwoman in a single punch...somehow.
It is not confirmed if the Looksee is immune to chemicals or toxins in the area, although he can get out of them with ease due to teleportation.
Crane has experienced multiple beatings from Batman and others, and is still somehow alive.
Even if Looksee were to emotionally manipulate Crane, he couldn't, because Crane has basically grown an immunity to it, and Looksee probably sensed it.
Looks like Looksee had to release his fears.
WINNER: Jonathon Crane, the Scarecrow.
