Loid Forger, also goes by his codename Twilight, is the main hero of the Spy x Family manga/anime series. He is an undercover spy and is the husband of Yor Forger. He is also the adopted father of Anya Forger.

History[]

Known as "Twilight" as his codename, the mysterious operative has undertaken many espionage missions for Westalis, as a way to maintain peace between the nation and Ostania. However, the Westalian government has grown suspicious of the pro-war National Unity Party's leader, Donovan Desmond and assigns Twilight to spy on him. But because Desmond is reclusive, Twilight has to adopt a child to enroll in the same schools as Desmond's sons and become a parent. He went on a fake marriage with the assassin known as "Thorn Princess" and adopted a young telepath titled "Subject 007", undertaking the name "Loid Forger", a psychologist in a hospital living a supposedly good life with "Yor" and "Anya". But as time passes, Loid grew close to both of them and revealed a soft side that he does not outwardly admit.

It is revealed that Loid is a Westalian orphan who had lost his parents and friends at a young age in a war, joined the Westalian army under a fake name and befriended a rogue Ostanian soldier. He was recruited by Westalis' intelligence agency and trained mercilessly as a spy, then trained a spy under the codename "Nightfall".

Unsurprisingly, under the name "Fiona Frost", Nightfall even fell for Loid as well.
