Description[]
Ninjago vs Harry Potter! When two young chosen ones collide, who will win? They grew up unaware of their secret powers and were forced to grow up quickly on their journey to save the world! They've met with an old powerful man in Limbo after dying and have truly come into their own as a leader, but when the Green Ninja and Boy Who Lived battle, who will come out on top?
Interlude[]
Counter: When the darkness invades, when the evil comes to maim and conquer, there is only one hero that can save the world.
Kaiya: Yeah, a hero who's literally destined to have plot armour!
Damien: Like Lloyd Garmadon, Ninjago's legendary Green Ninja!
Hannah: And Harry Potter, Britain's legendary Boy Who Lived.
Kaiya: (chuckling) Holy shit. Canada vs the UK! Battle for the ages!
Counter: I'm Counter, and these are my partners Damien, Kai and Hannah! And we're here to look at their strength, arsenal and abilities to find out who would win in a Death Battle!
Lloyd Garmadon[]
Counter: The lineage of the legendary First Spinjitzu Master has spanned thousands of years. A long time after his battle with the Overlord, the First Spinjitzu Master created two sons: Wu, the Master of Creation whose blood is filled with Dragon, and Garmadon, the Master of Destruction, whose blood flows like that of an Oni.
Kaiya: But tragedy struck the young family. As a child, Garmadon was bitten by a snake, corrupted by the Overlord to carry his powers. The Great Devourer. This bite was no normal bite, for the new Devourer’s venom was poisoned to turn the purest of things wicked. Garmadon, over the course of millennia, was slowly corrupted by evil.
Damien: This is what the Overlord foresaw. He lay in wait for thousands of years as the venom slowly took over Garmadon’s body. No matter how he resisted, how he fought or what he took, the venom was unstoppable. No matter how much Garmadon didn’t want it to, it was going to turn him evil.
Hannah: But the venom took thousands of years to complete its corruption. For the millenia beforehand, Garmadon was a normal, heroic person. He was friendly with Wu, and defended Ninjago against the wrath of the Anacondrai Warriors. It was when fighting in the First Serpentine War that Wu and Garmadon met Misako Montgomery, a woman who both brothers loved.
Counter: Nevertheless, the venom in his veins tempted Garmadon to pursue…less savoury methods of training. He trained under the malevolent Master Chen, who taught them to win at all costs. At all costs. Under Chen’s tutelage he was granted Lordship, and signed a love letter that Wu had written for Misako, causing her to fall in love with him.
Kaiya: They married and eventually had a son. Lloyd Garmadon. Despite the venom nearing its completion, he remained loving, and hoped that Lloyd could forge his own path, as he was unable to. Sadly, it was here that the venom fully took over Garmadon, forcing him to leave his family. And Misako, being mother of the year, realised that eventually, Lloyd would have to fight his father in an Ultimate Battle, and abandoned him at a school for bad boys.
Damien: Where he was taught the art of revenge. But much like his father, Lloyd was a good person at heart. Not evil enough to qualify for the school, so he got kicked out. In a bitter rage, the young child released the Serpentine, who turned on him, captured him, and journeyed to release the Great Devourer.
Hannah: Thankfully, little Lloyd was rescued by the Ninja, who quickly realised that Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon, was to be the prophesied Green Ninja, destined to fight his father, and win.
Kaiya: Oh shit!
Counter: While this sounds cool, being a prophesied saviour wasn’t the best life for a child. He felt isolated from people his age, forced to dedicate himself to constant training. He even gave up his childhood and aged himself years, just to stop Garmadon’s plans.
Kaiya: Lloyd has become a hero, and has done many incredible things. He unlocked the Golden Power, purged the evil from Garmadon’s blood, defeated the Overlord three times, and resisted the evil resurrected Emperor Garmadon and his reign over Ninjago City.
Damien: Fitting a Ninja, Lloyd is a master martial artist and combatant, able to duel Garmadon on his own, though it was briefly. He carried a golden dao blade as his main weapon and has used it to battle thugs or even their own Master Wu!
Hannah: Who taught him the art of Spinjitzu. By spinning fast, he can summon a whirlwind of green energy to add force to attacks, suck in objects or people, move slightly faster or leap through the air. Similarly, through his possession from Morro, Lloyd also knows Airjitzu, a lost martial art created by Master Kodokuna Yang, which allows him to temporarily take flight by spinning really fast.
Counter: Both martial arts drain Lloyd’s energy quickly, but he doesn’t need to rely on just that. By conquering his fears, he can summon a dragon of mighty green energy to fire energy or fly around.
Kaiya: Speaking of Energy, Lloyd can control a special Elemental Power. Made of green energy, Lloyd’s element is never well-defined in show. He’s called it ‘Energy’ a total of one time in all two hundred and ten episodes, and Cole struggles to explain its nature when under a truth-telling tea. It’s clear only Lloyd really knows what it is.
Damien: Whatever it is, Lloyd’s power is a remnant of his former Golden Power and is like a combination of all the Elements of Creation. He can fire beams of green energy, create balls of it to use as attacks, and use it to amplify the power behind his strikes. He is so in tune with his power, that it glows bright green in his eyes.
Hannah: His kin with his own power has aided him on more than one occasion, such as his battle with the resurrected Garmadon in Kryptarium Prison, where his power actively protects him from Garmadon’s attacks.
Counter: Befitting Lloyd’s role in the team, his power takes aspects from all the Ninja’s. He can create green fire, reminiscent of ...well, Fire, power electronics with energy electricity like Lightning, and has superhuman strength, like Cole. As a child, he was capable of lifting all four original Ninja as well as Master Wu, weighing in at least over 440 kilograms.
Kaiya: And he must have gotten stronger with age. Lloyd has pretty much done it all. He helped defeat evil sorcerers, an ancient sea serpent too powerful for even the First Spinjitzu Master, an army of evil Oni, locked away Lord Garmadon, and rescued Zane from his alternate Ice Emperor persona brought on by a corruptive Spinjitzu power. But perhaps his greatest battle was the one inside.
Damien: Yeah. The pressure of being forced into being a hero for all of Ninjago had drawbacks. One fateful day, Lloyd met the royal Princess Harumi, and they seemed to connect. Unfortunately, it was a ploy. Harumi wanted nothing more than revenge against Lloyd for failing to stop the Great Devourer before it led to the death of her parents.
Hannah: She emotionally tortured Lloyd. The connection, the care that Lloyd thought both felt, was never there. She broke his heart and his spirit. She even resurrected his redeemed father from the Departed Realm. But this Garmadon wasn’t the man who was banished all those years ago. He was resurrected, but only the evil parts of him were brought back. The Oni side of him.
Counter: All culminating in Lloyd thinking all his friends had died.
Kaiya: Heavy shit.
Counter: While Lloyd seemed to persevere, inside, Lloyd grew to fear the Oni part of himself, and the Oni part of Garmadon. Slowly, his view of his father was twisted into fearing, above all else, becoming like Garmadon. He repressed every Oni-like instinct and urge in him.
Kaiya: Deep down, Lloyd had a dark power flowing through his body. The power of the Oni. The power of his father. When absolutely overcome by anger, this power can’t be controlled and the very power of Destruction flows through his eyes. When he loses all control, Lloyd turns into a golden, four-armed Oni.
Damien: Despite how hard he resists, the Golden Oni form is Lloyd’s strongest form. He utilises the power of Destruction to its fullest potential. Destruction is a power that can’t be suppressed or held back by Vengestone. It’s strong enough to take on the Overlord himself, the very embodiment of evil.
Hannah: Not only could it take on the Overlord, but it overwhelmed and significantly threatened him, and has been stated as the only thing that can destroy the Overlord. The Overlord is extremely powerful, strong enough to take on the First Spinjitzu Master, who split Ninjago into two. This feat would require over 1.36 Zettatons of TNT to achieve, strong enough to detonate a small planet.
Counter: Even without his Oni Form, Lloyd is strong enough to stagger the Overlord with a kick, and has survived continuous blasts of Darkness. Earlier in his journey he had been stated to be more powerful than the original four Ninja combined. The Ninja all survived Morro’s assault, who was able to create a storm worth 7.45 Megatons of TNT. Taking this statement literally, he would be capable of surviving feats worth almost 30 Megatons of TNT.
Kaiya: Hell, the other Ninja have dodged bolts of lightning and perceived them quite easily, requiring speeds of over Mach 1200. The Overlord would also be high above Nadakhan the Djinn, who was able to dodge lasers from upgraded Nindroids. Nadakhan even reflected them back at the Nindroids. Sure, he’s fast and strong, but that’s not what defines him.
Damien: No matter what, Lloyd holds some form of love towards his father, and Garmadon, despite being reborn evil, still loves Lloyd like a father would a son. When Garmadon projects his love for Lloyd onto a plant, Lloyd feels jealous. He has fulfilled his father’s wishes, and has truly forged his own path through life.
Hannah: His power can be suppressed or beaten out of him, his mind or spirit can be destroyed, and he can certainly be a little impulsive, but no matter what, Lloyd will serve as a beacon for Ninjago, and as long as he stands, Ninjago will stay strong. Because Ninja never quit.

Harry Potter[]
Counter: You might think a secret British society of magic would be free from conflicts. However, you would be very wrong, a fact often credited to one man. Tom Riddle, known better by his other name. The name that strikes fear in all but the fearless. Lord Voldemort, the most evil wizard in history.
Kaiya: Unable to understand love and fearing death above all else, Voldemort began his siege on the Wizarding World. He killed everyone but his followers and people known as ‘purebloods’, wizarding families with no non-magical relatives. He planned to rule over these non-magical ‘Muggles’, through any means necessary.
Damien: Through bloodshed, blackmail, or brainwashing. One wizarding family, the Potters, were hit especially hard by his reign. James and Lily Potter were members of the esteemed Order of the Phoenix, a secret society created by Albus Dumbledore, the most powerful wizard of all time.
Hannah: Hated enemies of Voldemort, James and Lily went into hiding during the worst days of the war, where they had a son together. Harry James Potter, born July 31st, 1980. It was during this time that Albus Dumbledore met with Sybil Trelawney, a Seer, one who could see into the future.
Counter: During their interview, Trelawney entered a magical trance, and created the prophecy that would change the world. The prophecy stated that a boy, born as the seventh month dies, would be born to those who had defied Voldemort three times before and that he would know power Voldemort did not, and be the one to defeat him.
Kaiya: Through the dickhead Severus Snape, Voldemort discovered the existence of a part of this prophecy, and immediately set his eyes upon James and Lily Potter, wracking Snape with incredible guilt as he had loved Lily since he was a child. Snape begged Dumbledore to keep them safe, which he agreed to, but not all would go to plan.
Damien: Because, tragically, the Potters would be betrayed by one of their best friends and sold out to Voldemort, who immediately resolved to kill the child. On Halloween Night, 1981, Voldemort travelled to the Potters, and murdered James Potter with a flick of his wand.
Hannah: Lily Potter took young Harry upstairs, and Voldemort offered her a chance to stand aside, due to an agreement between Snape and Voldemort. But Lily refused. Out of pure, undying love for her son, she put herself between the two of them. So Lord Voldemort murdered Lily Potter with another flick of his wand.
Counter: And so, he turned his wand to Harry Potter, and flicked his wand for a third time. However, what Voldemort neglected was the magical power of love and the protection one could put onto others through love, and the unblockable Killing Curse rebounded upon him and vanquished him. Ultimately, Voldemort would survive due to his magical Horcruxes, but Harry Potter also survived, with little more than a lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead. Harry Potter was now the Boy Who Lived.
Kaiya: To protect Harry, Dumbledore sent him to live with his magic-hating Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon Dursley, who neglected and abused him for ten long years. On his eleventh birthday, the half-giant Hagrid revealed that Harry was a wizard and that everyone in the Wizarding World knew his name.
Damien: And, most importantly, that he would be studying at Hogwarts! He moved through his years at Hogwarts, weaving through the lame teenage drama such as relationships, changing friendships, sports, and defeating Lord Voldemort nearly every year!
Hannah: He was sorted into Gryffindor House, a house prized for their courage, determination and pure nerve, a description that fit Harry quite well. On his first year at Hogwarts, at the mere age of eleven, he, with the help of his best friends, broke through the teacher’s enchantments on the Philospher’s Stone, purely to stop what he suspected to be Snape from stealing it.
Counter: Even in his first year, Harry displayed a knack for magic. He was an excellent flyer, just like his father, and became the youngest Seeker on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team in over a century. His magic all requires the use of his wand, which is brother to Voldemort’s wand and contains a phoenix feather encased in a wood made of holly. His wand is eleven inches long, nice and supple, and has served him faithfully throughout his life.
Kaiya: Through his years at Hogwarts Harry showed huge skill in Charms. He mastered the Levitation Charm, Wingardium Leviosa, which he used to lift a motorcycle side-car for a long amount of time during the Battle of Seven Potters. His Shield Charms, cast with Protego, were so powerful they could deflect curses from Voldemort himself, and one even managed to throw Severus Snape off of his feet.
Damien: He can use the Wand-Lighting Charm to brighten up an area, shrink or grow objects, change their colour, tickle or confuse opponents, and summon objects to him or knock them away with great accuracy. In the Triwizard Tournament, he was able to summon his broomstick towards him while it was all the way up in Hogwarts castle!
Hannah: His mastery of charms was displayed well when he was able to summon a full corporeal Patronus at the mere age of thirteen, a spell many full-grown wizards and specialised Aurors couldn’t achieve. Hermione Granger, an exceptionally powerful witch who barely struggles with most charms, notably has trouble summoning a Patronus.
Counter: That’s not forgetting his signature spell, the Disarming Charm, Expelliarmus! It can knock an object out of his opponents hands, or blast them off their feet if cast with enough force. Magic also allows for the control over the elements. Incendio can shoot fire, Aguamenti can do the same with water. Ventus can summon a gust of air, and Glacius can encase people in ice.
Kaiya: And there’s no point in denying that Harry can’t defend against the Dark Arts like a master. He was even better at it than Hermione! He can knock you out with the Stunning Spell, slow you down with the Impediment Jinx, knock you away with the Knockback Jinx, freeze you in place with the Full Body-Bind Curse, or turn things to dust with the Reductor Curse! Jesus! These sound fuckin’ lethal!
Damien: A lot of them are! He can cause cuts with the Diffindo spell or slash you with invisible swords using the dangerous Sectumsempra Curse! He can create explosions using the Expulso, Confringo or Bombarda spells.
Hannah: Harry is not a perfect hero, and has a penchant for explosive rage and extreme impulsivity. It is perhaps these traits, alongside his connection to Voldemort, that allows him to tap into the Dark Arts. He has cast two of the three Unforgivable Curses, such as the Imperius Curse, which can control minds, or the Cruciatus Curse, which can cause blinding, torturous pain. He has never used the third curse, the unstoppable Killing Curse, for obvious moral reasons.
Counter: Harry has had all three Unforgivable Curses cast on him through his lifetime. He can resist the Imperius Curse through sheer willpower, even able to throw off mind control from Voldemort, when he was fourteen.
Kaiya: His magical power is much more than just his wand. While he wasn’t able to master Occlumency, he CAN use it. He eventually blocked Snape from reading his mind, and was eventually able to block the connection between Voldemort and him through the power of love. Speaking of, his connection with Voldemort allows him to talk to snakes and read Voldemort’s thoughts.
Damien: His Firebolt broomstick is able to travel from zero to one hundred and fifty miles per hour in less than ten seconds, that’s over two hundred kilometres per hour! And Harry could fly it completely fine!
Hannah: If he requires a quicker method to travel, however, he can use Apparition, the magical ability to teleport from one place to another. It requires intense concentration, otherwise Harry risks splinching himself, that is, leaving parts of his body behind.
Counter: Finally, inherited from his father, Harry owns the Cloak of Invisibility, a Deathly Hallow that completely hides the wearer from sight. Its invisibility does not wane, and will never fade. No matter how many spells are cast at it, it will hide the user. However, they are only invisible so long as they are enveloped by it, so it won’t work if any part of Harry pokes out of the cloak.
Kaiya: Either way, with these skills Harry had no trouble kicking a ton of ass! He’s defeated giant spiders, and numerous Death Eaters! When fifteen, he was able to hold off Lucius Malfoy and Antonin Dolohov, both extremely powerful in their own right. He was also able to hold his own against Bellatrix Lestrange, who was powerful enough to duel Hermione, Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood at the same time!
Damien: Not to mention, he duelled Lord Voldemort. Magic takes a certain amount of mental power to perform and is more than just a word and a wand movement. When engaged in priori incantatem, Harry was able to overpower Voldemort through his own mental ability.
Hannah: Harry was even able to master the Elder Wand. A wand that only goes where the power goes and has no loyalty except for strength. When Voldemort takes the wand from-
Kaiya: Spoiler alert!
Hannah: -Dumbledore’s grave, it is explicitly stated that ‘a shower of sparks flew from its tip, sparkling over the corpse of its last owner, ready to serve a new master at last.’. Harry being the master of the Elder Wand must mean he is stronger than Voldemort. Harry’s idea of Draco being the Elder Wand must be untrue, as if it was true, how could it be that Harry physically, not magically, disarming Draco of his own wand that wasn’t connected to the Elder Wand made him the master of the Elder Wand? It is contradictory to everything else stated about the Elder Wand. Not to mention, Voldemort managed to hit Harry with his Killing Curse, which he should not have been able to do if Harry was the master. Otherwise, if he was at that point, the spell would have rebounded, like it did to kill Voldemort.
Counter: This mastery would allow Harry to perform feats like Voldemort, such as blasting open the shield surrounding Hogwarts, which would have required an energy of over 160 Tons of TNT. Likewise, people like Dumbledore have created a fog that spread over London, which would require an energy of 7 Kilotons of TNT. Now, we’re not saying Harry is at a prime Dumbledore’s level and could beat him in a duel, but being comparable to Voldemort would certainly allow him to downscale from this feat. Another Dark Wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, who Voldemort is explicitly superior to, casually procured banners all over Paris, requiring an energy of over 400 tons of TNT.
Kaiya: Even without magic, Harry has survived being smashed through a wall by Nagini, and survived a hit from a Hungarian Horntail’s tail, which could shatter stone. Even at eleven, Harry could deflect a bludger with his strength alone. The bludger is a ball made of goddamn iron!
Damien: Voldemort is even able to conjure lightning bolts and fly at over Mach 50. He’s very powerful, but magic isn’t enough to solve everything.
Hannah: The stress of hunting Horcruxes, the stresses of teenage drama and watching guardians, loved ones and friends die before his eyes took a noticeable toll on Harry. Eventually, he simply didn’t want to be the hero anymore, didn’t want to hurt anymore and simply had enough. He wanted out.
Counter: There is no way to sugarcoat it. Harry is traumatised. He’s haunted by his worst memories and feels tremendous guilt for surviving while people around him like Cedric Diggory did not. But it was this very power that allowed him to beat Voldemort. This grief demonstrates Harry’s greatest strength. His ability to love. No matter what hardships he’s gone through, Voldemort’s power never tempted him. He never wanted to join the Death Eaters or master the Dark Arts.
Kaiya: Well, yeah. He’s not gonna side with the people that killed his parents. Duh.
Damien: So, as Dumbledore said, he’s protected by his ability to love. This love flowing through his veins essentially made him untouchable to Voldemort. The very thing that caused Voldemort’s maimed soul the most unbearable pain is the thing that flows through his heart.
Hannah: He may need glasses, he may be impulsive and rush into situations, and his wand may break, but Harry Potter is a worthy Chosen One. You would be hard pressed to find someone as loving and courageous as he. This is why he is the Boy Who Lived.
("I’m going to keep going until I succeed—or I die. Don’t think I don’t know how this might end. I’ve known it for years.")
Intermission[]
Counter: Alright, the combatants are set! You guys ready?
Kaiya: Let's do it!
Damien: Heck yeah!
Hannah: Is there any doubt?
Counter: Then let's end this debate once and for all...in a Death Battle!
Death Battle[]
An icy chill pierced through the air, almost tangible in its cold. It felt difficult to breathe, as if each breath carried crystals of ice and snow to the lungs. The ground was blanketed in a thin veil of white. Flakes of snow fluttered down from the sky, mixing with the air and seemingly freezing the wind in its place. Everything was still.
Crunch…crunch…crunch...
The snow was broken by the steps of a Ninja clad in green and gold. His feet sunk into the snow, leaving footprints detailing his journey. He held a green flame in his hand, warming the very core of his being. The flames were as emerald-green as his eyes, which crackled subtly with energy as the flame continued to lick the air. This was Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja. He let out a groan of annoyance at the climate. His temper always seemed to be boiling just below the surface these days, bubbling just underneath his skin, pulling his face into a slight scowl.
He drew his other hand to his mouth, letting out an exhale of warm breath to heat them up, fighting desperately against the cold. Shaking his head, Lloyd threw crystals of ice into the air, freeing his hair from the web of snow it was caught in. What a place to deal Vengestone! After the fiasco with the Overlord and Harumi, when the Ninja caught word that there was a trace of Vengestone in this snowy biome, Lloyd took off by himself, riding a green and black motorcycle out of the Monastery. Now, he had regretted being so impulsive, as he lamented his lack of warm clothes. At least he deals with Zane often enough to be used to the cold.
He looked around and stopped in surprise. Without even realising it, he had walked into the middle of a street. Houses lined the sides of his vision, stretching as far as he could see through the mist, which was admittedly not very far. Shivering to himself, he inspected the buildings around him. The building immediately to his right was covered in signs with steaming teacups as its logo, its windows frosted over through steam. Lloyd licked his lips slightly. Although that weird fever dream with his Master Wu and a rival tea company sometimes puts him off, a hot mug of tea seemed like just what he needed.
At the same time, his mission came to the forefront of his mind. He made a step towards the store, but hesitated. He looked down the street, and then back to the store. Sighing to himself, he turned away from the store and walked on. Inside the store, a young man with unruly black hair wiped his sleeve on the frosted over window, clutching a hot mug of a drink known as Butterbeer. Momentarily, Lloyd’s emerald-green eyes met with the young man’s own green eyes before he turned and walked away. The young man’s eyes were hidden behind a pair of round glasses. Absent-mindedly, he brushed some of his hair out of his eyes, revealing a scar, shaped like a lightning bolt, plastered above his right eye. The Boy Who Lived, Harry Potter. Unlike Lloyd, Harry managed to prepare for the cold. He wore a fluffy grey jumper, roped in a long, black cloak.
Harry sipped his butterbeer as he idly watched Lloyd walk on. The drink seemed to spread throughout his body, warming every particle of his being. He sighed happily. He wondered dimly about the boy walking down the street. He had never seen clothing like that. Gold, with green highlights throughout. He watched the boy pull a golden hood over his face, obscuring his features.
Harry sat up slightly, watching as Lloyd held out his hand and summoned a glowing ball of green energy. Suddenly, he shot up, startling the people sitting around him. Stuffing his hand into his pocket, Harry threw a couple of silver Sickles on his table and sprinted out the door, his head snapping to the right. He saw the grey silhouette of Lloyd slowly walking through the snow and pulled out his trusted wand.
Green light…! He repeated to himself. Unpleasant flashes of memory appeared before his eyes. The flash of green light from the wand of a skeletally white wizard…closing his eyes in the Forbidden Forest, looking towards his end…the dead bodies of Lupin and Tonks…and above all else, the high, cold voice that sent chills down his spine.
“Kill the spare…”
His breath quickened before he could realise what happened, sending a painful burst of cold down his throat. His heart pounded against his chest violently, Harry was quite surprised nobody could see it bulging from his chest. He clenched his wand tighter, earning a shower of red and gold sparks that spread across the snow.
The silhouette was slowly disappearing into the fog. The wizard stared at the retreating figure and spun on the spot, disappearing into nothing with a single, ear-splitting crack. Almost instantly, he appeared further down the street, right where the silhouette was mere moments ago. Yet, he was nowhere to be seen. Harry let out a hiss of surprise, holding his wand out in front of him cautiously.
“Homenum revelio.” He muttered. Behind the nearest building, Lloyd felt something swoop low over him, as if submerging him in its shadow. He scrambled backwards, planting his back against the wall of the building. Harry’s brow furrowed slightly. So he was still here…but where was he?
Reaching deep into his robes, Harry pulled out the silky, fluid material that had assisted him many times before. The Cloak of Invisibility draped over his body, shielding him from outside view. Breathing heavily, Lloyd peered out from the side of the building and saw…nothing. Unwilling to be fooled, Lloyd clenched his hands into fists and slowly emerged from the back of the building. His eyes darted around, searching the area vigilantly for any sign of movement.
Harry watched as he emerged, and aimed his wand for Lloyd’s midsection. Yet, he hadn’t dared shoot a spell yet. Lloyd was clearly ready for him. If he had shot now, Lloyd could respond in kind and his cover would be blown. The Green Ninja crept into the street, moving deliberately, as if there were landmines strewn across the floor. Every movement felt intentional. He watched his own feet closely as he continued to stay alert.
He brushed past Harry, his arm grazing the Cloak, and Harry sucked in his breath, holding completely still. Through the small breeze, both the brushing against Lloyd’s arm and the sharp intake of breath went unnoticed, but Lloyd’s heart rate still spiked. His hands glowed emerald green. Harry’s insides bubbled with apprehension, but even then he couldn’t help but acknowledge the aptitude for wandless magic Lloyd was showing. Harry had never seen magic so focused without a wand. It was something he had never seen even Dumbledore do.
Lloyd turned his back on Harry and walked forwards. With a small gasp, Harry saw a golden blade nestled on his back. Now, Harry had to act. Debating silently with himself, he decided to remove his Cloak. Keeping that tool a secret would be more than crucial. He pulled the Cloak off of himself and stowed it away in his robes silently. Aiming his wand for Lloyd’s back, Harry flicked his wand. A jet of scarlet light fired from the wand with a rushing noise. Gasping, Lloyd dived to the side, narrowly avoiding the spell. Rolling to his feet, Lloyd turned to face Harry with a scowl plastered on his face.
“Who are you?!” Lloyd cried, eyes narrowing suspiciously. Harry’s wand was pointed directly for his heart. Harry’s face hardened.
“Funny, I could ask you the same thing.” He said, keeping his voice steady. “What are you doing here?”
“I was sent here. I’m Lloyd.” Lloyd responded. He didn’t care to give this person much more information than that. Harry’s grip on his wand tightened.
“Sent here to blast someone aside?” Lloyd blinked.
“What?!” Lloyd felt his face grow hot. He was already late, now this joker was here to slow him down even more. “Come on, I need to go.” He reached behind himself, hand gripping his golden blade. Harry’s eyes widened. “And beat up some low-level, common th-”
“Expelliarmus!” There was a flash of scarlet light. Lloyd’s sword jerked itself out of his grip and flew towards Harry. With the reactions of a born Seeker, Harry caught the sword’s handle with his free hand.
“Magic! Like Clouse…” Lloyd muttered to himself, his face creasing further with anger. Their green eyes met. “Give me my sword. Now.” He demanded, his voice flooded with a low, serious tone. Harry didn’t respond, merely dropping Lloyd’s sword into the snow. His mouth twitched, but the rest of his face kept up its stony expression. Harry’s fingers twitched over his wand. Lloyd glanced down at it. He fought back the urge to yell, resolving himself to clenching his fists once again.
“Fine.” Lloyd said, closing his eyes and spinning his arms around in windmill-like circles, his hands glowing brighter with their trademark green. A trail traced his movements. He brought his fists together, a ball of energy forming around his hands. “I don’t need a sword.”
FIGHT!
With a cry of effort, Lloyd thrusted his hands forwards, expelling a blast of Elemental Energy that rocketed forwards with a booming noise. Letting out a noise of shock, Harry jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the ball of energy as it slammed into the building behind him, sending a wave of power through the ground.
Harry allowed himself a second of shock, before redoubling his focus on the fight, sending another jet of red light towards Lloyd, who responded in kind with another blast of energy. The red and green lights clashed together, giving Harry a split second vision of a graveyard, and the spread-eagled, lifeless form of Cedric Diggory…
Shaking his head, Harry stepped backwards as he fired more spells towards the Ninja, who met them all with blasts of his own. Each clash of colour punched snow into the air, slowly putting up a kind of wall between them, as if the environment themselves was trying to break up the fight. Unlike the graveyard, the two attacks clashing did not result in golden flames, and Lloyd continued his assault, leaping forwards to deliver a flying kick. Gasping, Harry held out his wand.
“Protego!” He cried, summoning a silver, translucent shield to block the trajectory. Lloyd’s foot crashed against the shield and he jumped backwards. As he landed, Harry flicked his wand. The spell sailed past the shield and slammed itself into Lloyd’s chest before he could react. A bang erupted from Lloyd’s chest and he felt himself flying backwards as if punched, sailing through the air. He slammed into the wall of a building and fell onto the snow, red-hot stinging erupting throughout his back to match the pain in his front.
Getting to his feet, Lloyd let out a frustrated sigh, fighting back the surge of anger that filled his body like an expanding bubble. Harry fired another spell, but Lloyd reacted faster. Simultaneously, he dived sideways and threw out a blast of energy aimed for Harry. The wizard responded by deflecting the blast with a spell of his own.
Charging forwards, Lloyd dodged jets of light, crouching low as Harry jumped backwards. With a grunt, Lloyd spun around, delivering a kick to his stomach and sending him flying backwards. Harry landed on a heap on the ground, groaning angrily as he got to his feet. Lloyd scooped his blade off the snow and spun it around in his hand.
“Expelliarmus!”
“Oh, no you don’t!” Lloyd shouted, as a familiar jet of red light fired from the tip of Harry’s wand. He ran forwards, twisting his body to avoid the spell. He held his sword to the heavens and cracked down, meeting a silver shield at the end of the wand. Grunting, Lloyd swung again, but the silver shield didn’t budge. Anger bubbling beneath him, Lloyd struck again, and again, and again. Over and over until Harry’s arms ached, but the shield stayed still, shimmering, maybe, but solid.
Lloyd reared backwards, but Harry was faster; in mere moments, the shield dissipated, and Harry sent a jet of turquoise light that crashed into Lloyd’s chest. He made to swing down once again, but he couldn’t. He seemed to be frozen solid, as if bound by the air itself. This crucial opening allowed Harry to jump backwards, sending a jet of light that forced Lloyd backwards, putting metres of distance between them.
The invisible bonds on him broke and Lloyd crashed to his knees. Before he could regain himself, another jet of red light crashed into his chest, his torso glowing bright green at the impact site. Lloyd let out a soft ‘Oh!’, and fell forwards, landing on the snow with a dull finality, unconscious. Harry let out a breath of relief, and swished his wand towards Lloyd.
“Incarcerous.” He sighed. Thin cords leapt out of his wand and tightly wrapped themselves around Lloyd’s body, bounding him. “There we go. About bloody time…” He muttered to himself. But he stopped suddenly. Lloyd’s fingers twitched. Apprehensive, Harry aimed his wand at Lloyd, edging closer to his unconscious form.
It was subtle, but prominent enough to notice. Lloyd’s body glowed the same green as his eyes, enveloping his body. His fists clenched. A burst of energy erupted from every pore on Lloyd’s body, burning through the ropes, forcing Harry to conjure another shield to avoid the reaction. Screaming, Lloyd jumped to his feet, spinning his sword around again as he readied himself. The green glow died away, leaving Lloyd with a look of pure venom.
“Nice try. But I’ve had my fair share of stupid chains!” He spat. Harry didn’t respond, deep in thought. That wasn’t magic. He had heard and experienced young wizards unknowingly performing magic to escape desperate scenarios, but never to this extent. And clearly, he wasn’t using the Killing Curse…that spell went right through shields, while whatever Lloyd did was stopped.
Regardless of Harry’s thoughts, Lloyd fired a blast of energy towards Harry, who reacted by firing another Stunner, which met and sent sparks across the battlefield with a blast of energy. Grunting, Lloyd jumped back to land right in front of a building, kicking backwards to splinter wood from the wall. Whipping around, Lloyd scooped up the splinters of wood. He spun around, launching them across the street with an untold vigour.
Swearing loudly, Harry thrust his wand forwards, stopping the wooden splinters in place. He flicked his wand upwards, spinning the large wooden splinters around to face the Ninja. There was perhaps a second of pause before the splinters rocketed towards Lloyd. Letting out a yell, Lloyd swung his sword, slicing one splinter out of the air.
He rolled to the side, dodging another, and fired a ball of his Elemental Power, turning a splinter to ashes. But the rest changed their trajectory, as if given both a mind of its own and a burning passion to inflict as much damage on Lloyd as possible. He turned two more into ashes and flipped away from another. However, the splinters were relentless, and even the ashes started flying towards him, persistent on not leaving him alone. They bore down on him, fuelling Lloyd with an increased anger.
“Ninja, GO!” Lloyd shouted, spinning in a circle to form a tornado of energy which burst to life around him, knocking the splinters aside. The surprise of a tornado spontaneously erupting around Lloyd struck Harry dumb as if he had been hit by a Confundus Charm and his concentration slackened. The splinters fell to the ground, lifeless, as Lloyd slowed to a stop, the tornado of energy dying away.
“What was that?!” Harry spat, incredulous. Lloyd merely chuckled softly.
“Guess you must not be a Master.” Lloyd was grateful to be able to chuckle. It pushed back against the anger in his body, maintaining a desperate balance in his mind. His veins prickled with cold fear as he remembered what had happened the last time the balance was overthrown.
Harry slashed his wand, firing another spell. With the skills of a Ninja, Lloyd twisted around the spell, firing a beam of green energy. Eyes wide, Harry responded with a blast of red. The beams collided, spraying gold across the ground. Grunting, Lloyd leapt forwards, entering his Spinjitzu tornado once again. The tornado rocketed towards Harry, who could barely react. He stepped backwards, but Lloyd caught onto his arm, abruptly exiting the tornado.
Lloyd’s grip tightened on Harry’s wrist. A pulse of crackling green electricity spread throughout his hands, shooting through Harry’s body, who let out a yell. The muscles in his hands constricted, gripping onto his wand as tightly as it could. Harry was afraid his own grip would break the wand. Harry fought back a yell, the electricity surging through his arms felt like a hundred red-hot needles were being pressed into his skin and his head started to throb. But Lloyd was yelling too. As if an invisible force surged through his body, Harry seemed to become impossible to hold. It was as if Harry’s body was defending itself against Lloyd’s grip.
The men stayed in place, each of their arms burning with pain, their heads throbbing madly. Neither wanted to keep a grip on the other, but it was like it was impossible to let go. Harry sucked in a deep breath, his pounding head blurring his vision. With all the effort he could muster, Harry pointed his wand at Lloyd’s heart.
“R-Relashio!” Harry screamed. Golden light shone from the tip of his wand, forcing Lloyd’s grip to slip, releasing them both. Stumbling backwards, Harry slashed wildly, a silver light falling upon Lloyd’s cheek, slicing it open with a spurt of blood. Yelling, Lloyd fell backwards, bringing a free hand to his face. He brought his hand to his eyes. The fingers were slicked with a bright red liquid. The smell of iron entered his nose. Lloyd squeezed his eyes closed, breathing shakily as his body trembled with rage. Harry held his head, forcing the pain to slowly ebb away.
Lloyd slowly got to his feet, but a red light hit his chest, forcing his sword out of his hand once again. His eyes shot open. Yelling, Lloyd sprinted to intercept the weapon, but Harry had other plans. He flicked his wand upwards, and a deafening bang rang out with a blinding flash of light. As if his ankle was caught with a hook, Lloyd found himself dragged upwards, hanging upside-down.
“Hey!” Lloyd yelled, firing blasts of energy towards his now seemingly upside-down opponent. Mere moments before the blasts hit him, Harry conjured a silver shield out of thin air. The blasts hit the shield and rebounded, barrelling themselves into Lloyd’s stomach, forcing him out of the Dangling Jinx and knocking him to the ground.
Before he could regain a foothold on himself, Lloyd yelled out. His scream was filled with pure rage, dripping with a murderous anger that burned through his very cells, filling his veins. He looked up at Harry, who met his eyes. The wizard was struck dumb, and he unconsciously took a step backwards, taken aback.
“What…? Lloyd…?” He sputtered. Lloyd’s eyes had glowed a deep purple. The energy in his hands had been replaced by a raging purple fire. Hissing with rage, Lloyd struck out wildly, sending out a wave of energy fuelled by pure Destruction. The mere expulsion of the energy threw a shockwave through the streets, shattering the glass in the stores and sending snow flying into the sky.
Harry conjured another shield, but the Destruction that hammered against it sent waves of energy through his arms, forcing him to dispel the shield. Breathing heavily, Lloyd took a step forwards, which sent another shockwave through the street. But he looked down, observing his hands, and as the purple glow entered his view, his eyes turned back to their emerald green.
“No..!” Lloyd shook his hands frantically, dispelling the Destruction from his hands. The icy-cold fear spread through his body once more, filling his breath and causing his body to shake every so often.
“Blimey…” Harry sighed, taking a tentative step forwards. Lloyd shook his head and looked back up to Harry, then down to his fingers covered in blood. His hands clenched. He looked up at the wizard who was pointing a wand directly to his heart, and moved his arm upwards. Before he could even think, a yellow light hit him squarely in the chest. Lloyd shuddered softly, and before he could mount a defence, his mind slid out of focus.
“Why…Why is it…so cold out here?” He sputtered in a dazed voice. “Who- Who- Who are you?” His voice was slurred and his hand was pointed towards Harry, who pulled his wand towards himself sharply.
“Accio sword!” Lloyd’s other hand jerked forwards, dragging him along the snow as the sword rocketed towards Harry, struggling as if trying to weasel out of Lloyd’s grip. Harry slashed his wand, sending a spell that slammed into the sword, turning it to dust in an explosion that rocked the skies and forced them both backwards. Lloyd chuckled dimly, getting to his feet.
“Heeeeey…that was mine!” Lloyd told him, slightly reproachfully. Sluggishly, Lloyd pulled his arms to his chest, firing a bolt of green energy. Harry summoned a shield to deflect it back. The green bolt met another, exploding into a shower of green sparks, shielding Lloyd from view.
At least, for a moment, for Lloyd came sprinting out of the fog of green, charging at Harry with a determined expression on his face. He swung his arm wide, connecting his fist into Harry’s cheek, causing him to stumble backwards. Lloyd’s arms flopped to his side, but he went in for a kick, raising his leg to plant it into a silver shield Harry conjured in the split second of opportunity he had.
Lloyd swung his other hand, but the Confundus Charm slowed him down. Stepping backwards, Harry thrusted his wand forwards.
“Incendio!” He cried. A jet of flame erupted from his wand, melting the snow around them as the beam of fire rocketed towards Lloyd. He let out a gasp and his eyes slid back into focus, his head instantly cleared. Grunting, Lloyd pushed outwards, surrounding himself in a ball of energy. It threw itself around him, like a mother protecting their child. The flames licked the energy, but nothing pierced through.
“If only Kai were here…” Lloyd groaned to himself, pushing the green dome through the flames, extinguishing them. The ball died away inches from Harry’s body, but Lloyd capitalised, spinning himself into a tornado to dash at Harry, who pushed forwards, summoning a strong gust of wind with his wand, throwing Lloyd into the air and destabilising his tornado. He crashed on the ground with a grunt, snow falling in his eyes. He stood up and brushed the snow out of his eyes, but when he opened them Harry was nowhere to be seen.
The Green Ninja let out a noise of apprehension and went on high alert. The last time this happened, Harry shot a spell at his back. His hands erupted in the glow once more.
“Petrificus Totalus!” A white jet of light that was not unlike the snow peppering the ground fired from his wand, but Lloyd was ready, and he dived to the side to avoid it, firing a beam of energy behind him wildly. He heard an ear-splitting crack, and the feeling of a certain something rushing past him, more substantial than a ghost.
“Stupefy!” A jet of red light came from the side, which Lloyd blocked with relative ease. Another crack. Lloyd’s head was starting to pound from the noise.
“Flipendo!” Another crack. As Lloyd turned to block the bolt of light, he heard another shout.
“Glacius!” Lloyd’s legs became encased in ice. He looked down with a gasp, dropping his attention at this unforeseen complication. “EXPELLIARMUS!” Harry bellowed. The red jet of light crashed into Lloyd’s chest, throwing him backwards onto the floor. Grunting in frustration, Lloyd slammed both his legs onto the floor, shattering the ice encasing it. He raised his right arm, intending to fire another beam, but from nowhere, the arm became encased in more ice. He moved to punch the ice off, but as his fist made contact, his other arm became similarly frozen.
“Oh, come on!” Lloyd sighed, exasperated. Gritting his teeth, Lloyd slammed his head into the block of ice, shattering it and freeing his arms. He looked up, his head throbbing, and saw a jet of fire being blasted towards him. Smirking to himself, Lloyd pushed himself into the air, entering a Spinjitzu tornado that threw him in Harry’s direction, who reluctantly stepped into that all-too-familiar compressive feeling, appearing with a trademark crack behind Lloyd. But Lloyd, continuing to smirk, spun around and fired a wave of green energy throughout the street, forcing Harry to summon a shield. “Now I gotcha!” Lloyd smiled to himself, landing on the ground smoothly.
“Carpe Retractum!” An orange cord slithered out of his wand, wrapping itself around Lloyd’s wrist, who, confusingly, smirked to himself. Harry jerked his wand back, dragging Lloyd through the air, seizing him like he was a large magnet. Lloyd readied himself. Harry fired another spell. Ready, Lloyd spun around, avoiding the spell and readying an elbow. With a yell, he thrusted his arm backwards, elbow connecting with Harry’s noise. There was a sickening crunch and the splintering of glass.
Harry jerked backwards, suppressing a yell as blood spurted from his nose and the broken halves of his glasses fell to the snow. The Cloak of Invisibility slipped off his body, also falling to the snow. Lloyd tumbled backwards, unable to correct his position before the momentum carried him away.
Harry felt his nose gingerly and felt a sharp pain spread throughout his face; his nose had been broken. He pointed his wand at his face and - squeezing his eyes shut just in case - tapped his nose with it.
“Episkey.” He muttered thickly, through a mouthful of blood. His nose felt very hot and then very cold, but it no longer hurt. It was mended. But all he could see was a mess of blurred colour. He felt on the ground for his glasses, cutting his finger on a broken shard of the lenses. “Agh! Bloody hell!” He let out, placing a hand over one half of the glasses.
Lloyd jumped to his feet as Harry tapped the lens with his wand, muttering something else in Latin. At once, the glasses fixed themselves and Harry slid them back on his face. Twisting around, he turned to look Lloyd dead in the eyes, twitching his wand. As if a hook had grabbed onto his hood, Lloyd felt it slide upwards and off his face, revealing his features. They stared.
Harry Potter, a bleeding nose and finger.
Lloyd Garmadon, a gash across his cheek.
Harry was taken aback at just how young Lloyd had looked. He looked no more than sixteen, but by the way he fought and spoke, you would assume he was much older. The gash certainly helped that illusion. The blood dripping down his cheek made him seem older and more mature. Lloyd’s hands crackled with green electricity. Lloyd’s body started to tire, whispering pleas to stop fighting to his brain but he ignored them, sucking in a deep breath.
“Depulso!” Harry fired his wand once more, blasting Lloyd backwards with a wave of energy. Lloyd dug his feet into the ground to prevent his banishment, but a purple light slammed into his chest, freezing him in place. He sighed internally, his annoyance reaching an alarming peak.
“Confringo!” A fiery orange light slammed into the ground in front of Lloyd, who, unable to move, simply rolled his eyes.
KRA-BOOM!
The spell exploded with the force of a small bomb, throwing Lloyd back and breaking the immobilising spell. The embers of the fire burned the fabric parts of his gi and threw him into a heap on the snow. Steam rose out from where he lay. Yet, Lloyd jumped to his feet, readying his fists. Before he could start his assault, a black blindfold wrapped itself tight around his eyes, blinding him. Grunting, he stepped backwards, but steeled himself with a deep breath and regained his fighting stance.
There was a crunch of snow somewhere northwest of him, so that’s where he ran. He heard spells whizzing at him, but he jumped and spun around. He felt the heat from the spells graze his side, but they sailed past him. He stuck out his foot, blindly planting it into what he felt to be Harry’s stomach. Grunting, he raised his wand to defend himself, but Lloyd struck his fist across his face, stunning the wizard.
Lloyd flipped away, ripping off the blindfold. Harry caught himself before he could fall, and pointed his wand to the heavens.
“Accio Firebolt!” He shouted, moving backwards. Lloyd braced for an attack, but none came. There was a faint whistling sound, but that seemed to be all. Smirking, he threw more balls of energy at Harry, who sent them back with his wand. The balls of energy crashed around them, sparks of green falling across their legs. Energy hit magic shields, sending them flying in different directions. Some balls of energy crashed into the tea shop, knocking the sign down and into the snow.
Lloyd grit his teeth, summoning a barrier of green energy to block some of his own attacks. Harry fired hexes and jinxes outwards, gripping onto his wand as if letting go would spell his own demise. He summoned a shield and stepped backwards. He was holding out for something, Lloyd could definitely tell that. He knew the signs well, having to hold out against his father’s evil reign for a week. He just needed to prevent Harry from-
“Expulso!”
Uh-oh. Harry’s aim was true; the spell landed on the snow directly in front of him and detonated, slamming outwards with an explosion that swept Lloyd off his feet. Coughing, Lloyd got to his feet and punched the ground angrily. He jumped up in the air-
THWACK!
Something hard and wooden slammed into the back of his head and sent him back to the ground. Lloyd could have sworn he saw stars floating above his head, his skull pounding on the rest of his head angrily, as if trying to break free from the rest of his body. His vision was slightly blurred, but he watched the wooden thing fly to Harry’s side, who threw a leg around it and kicked off the ground, rising through the air like a cork.
Shaking his head, Lloyd looked upwards as he watched Harry rise up and up through the sky. His vision cleared. Harry, cloak flapping in the wind, was clutching hard onto a broomstick tucked between his legs. Rolling his eyes, Lloyd readied himself.
“A broom? Really?” He asked no-one in particular. Lloyd pushed off of the ground, spinning into a flying vortex of Airjitzu that carried him high into the air. He stretched out his hand, laughing. “Did you see this coming?” He asked. Letting out a noise of shock, Harry jerked his broom up, flying higher into the air, much higher than Lloyd had anticipated. His fingers brushed the underside of the broom, but the vortex died away beneath him, leaving him to the mercy of gravity.
“Oh.” Screaming, Lloyd plummeted to the ground, landing with an ‘oof!’ on his back. Harry laughed and descended, floating a few feet above the ground.
“Wow. I’m impressed. Never seen someone fall quite so fast before.” Groaning, Lloyd hopped to his feet, prompting Harry to take off again. Sighing, Lloyd ran up to a building and planted his feet onto the wall, pushing upwards to enter Airjitzu once again, flying up to Harry’s level. Before he could start to fall, he spun into a Spinjitzu tornado, propelling him towards the wizard, who slashed his wand. The blow knocked Lloyd back towards the ground, dispelling the tornado. The snow came rushing towards him, he braced for impact, awaiting the sickening crack of his skull…
“Carpe Retractum!” Harry bellowed. The golden cord wrapped itself around Lloyd’s ankle, pulling him upwards like he were connected to a bungee rope. The Ninja rocketed towards Harry, who slashed again, knocking him back towards the ground. Squeezing his eyes closed, Lloyd brought his hands together, glowing green. He pushed his fear to the side, concentrating, concentrating…
The world suddenly turned green, as if Lloyd’s glow overtook his body and spread across the globe in a matter of seconds. Harry hovered in place, shielding his eyes with his arm as the bright green glow intensified. There was a rushing sound, as if something flashed into existence around him. Harry brought his arms down.
As it turns out, something did flash into existence. Lloyd, instead of falling, was now floating at level with him, riding atop a great, glowing green dragon, pulsating with energy. Harry let out a strangled noise and dragged his broomstick around, crouching low atop it as it fired through the air like a bullet. Lloyd gave chase, his dragon throwing a bolt of energy out from its mouth. Harry pirouetted in mid-air, firing a Shield Charm that threw the energy to the side.
This was no different than the Horntail, or a big Quidditch match, Harry thought to himself. A green ball sailed past his ear, inches from knocking him clean off his broom. Okay, maybe the Horntail wasn’t bloody chasing me down. Okay, forget that, I just need diversionary tactics!
He swerved left as the dragon fired another ball of energy, harmlessly sailing past him. Roaring, the dragon swooped towards him, breathing out flames of green, but Harry jerked his broom into a steep dive, narrowly avoiding the flames as he pelted towards the ground. He pulled up moments before he would have crashed into the snow, the tips of his feet brushing against the snow.
The dragon dived to meet him, firing another blast. Harry jerked his broom up and rolled around it, clutching onto it like a sloth to allow the blast to pass over him. With a clear view, Harry pulled out his wand and fired a jinx towards Lloyd, who deflected it with energy of his own. Spinning around to sit upon his broom normally, Harry gripped the handle tighter, zooming away as he rose steadily into the air.
“You call that a dragon?!” Harry called down to the Ninja, who grimaced, rising up to meet him once again. “I’ve faced flobberworms that are scarier than that!” Lloyd hadn’t had a clue of what a flobberworm was, but the tone wasn’t lost on him. He let out a yell and pointed towards Harry. The dragon let out a beam of energy with a roar, and Harry fired a Disarming Charm to meet it. Red and green beams of light clashed together, reminding Harry fleetfully of a graveyard, of a damaged Great Hall, the bodies of his friends…
Shaking his head, Harry summoned a shield, cutting off the Disarming Charm and allowing him to speed away as the green beam slammed into it. The dragon gave chase, and Harry yawned pointedly, stretching out his arms. Lloyd had to note that he was a natural on a broom, both his arms weren’t even gripping onto the handle.
“Man, Hagrid would be disappointed in your dragon. He loves dangerous things!” He called again, angering Lloyd further. Turning his head, Harry aimed a spell over his shoulder. “Descendo!” The spell’s aim was true. Striking Lloyd in the chest, it forced his dragon to fall downwards. Momentarily, he lost all control, letting out a yelp as the dragon fell closer and closer to the snow. The scare lasted for only a few moments, before the spell faded away and Lloyd was able to control his dragon again.
The dragon fired a ball of energy forwards while Lloyd sent two more at a low and high angle. Harry jerked his broomstick upwards to avoid one, only for the next to slam into the back of his head, smashing his face into the broomstick handle. Swearing, he aimed another curse towards Lloyd, who leapt off his dragon and spun into a vortex that carried him higher into the air.
Yelling, he threw out a beam of energy, forcing Harry to swerve to avoid it, throwing off his aim. He spun himself into Spinjitzu, flying towards Harry, spiraling through the air like he was Apparating towards him. Harry moved to swerve, but another blow caught him on the shoulder, slamming into it like an iron-clad punch. Crying out, Lloyd buried his foot into Harry’s side. Yelping, Harry slid off the broom, falling to the ground, his robes flapping around him, whipping him in the face. Harry waved his wand desperately.
“A-Ascendio!” Spiraling, Harry threw himself into the air, rising like a missile through the air. Lloyd, falling to meet him, looked on in shock. Rolling through the air, Lloyd buried his foot into Harry once again, sending him back down to Earth.
“How’s that for flying?!” Lloyd bellowed, as Harry painfully crashed into the snow. The fall surely would have broken something if not for the snow, which cushioned him from the very worst of the damage. Lloyd landed lightly and brushed himself off. He walked over to the wizard, lying on the ground, groaning to himself.
The Firebolt floated down to the ground, hovering a foot off the ground. Harry’s eyes flickered to it, something not unnoticed by Lloyd. Turning quickly, he fired a beam of energy with a grunt. The energy cleaved through the broomstick like it was made of paper, cleaving it in two with barely a noise. There was an explosion of green, blasting the splintered halves of the broomstick away from each other.
Harry felt his face grow hot. That Firebolt, gifted to him by Sirius…the link between them. A Christmas present, to make up for thirteen years’ worth of missed presents, gone…just like him. Harry felt rage boil underneath his skin. He felt hate flush through his face. In an instant, the confident, cocky Harry was no more. He felt a bitter rage flow through his veins, pushing him to stand, to aim his wand directly for Lloyd’s heart, and to curse him into oblivion.
“There.” Lloyd stated, turning back to Harry. But he stopped. Harry angrily raised his wand, and Lloyd stepped backwards.
“STUPEFY!” He bellowed. The scarlet jet of light burst out of his wand, seemingly imitating its caster’s rage, crackling with energy and rocketing towards Lloyd with a vigour he hadn’t yet seen. Gasping, he leapt backwards, narrowly deflecting the spell with a shield of green. Harry furiously fired more spells towards him, which Lloyd rolled out of the way from. There were two cracks, which Lloyd took to mean the spells had found a home.
He jumped to his feet, slashing his hand like a blade. There were focused beams of green that pierced through the air, flying towards Harry like bullets. Harry fired a spell before he realised what Lloyd had shot right back, and, horror-struck, left himself wide open. He braced for impact-
A silver shield erupted out of nowhere in front of him, sending the bolts of energy in random directions. Harry blinked in surprise, dimly wondering if he had managed to summon a shield wandlessly. He didn’t have to wait for his answer, as the tall, freckle-faced Ron Weasley, sporting a head of ginger hair, stepped up to the right of him. On his other side, the bushy-haired, bookish Hermione Granger stepped up to his left.
“Ron? Hermione? What are you doing here?” Harry asked them, a mixture of relief at their arrival and anger at his opponent burning in his chest.
“Seemed like you needed a bit of help, mate.” Ron replied, staring daggers into Lloyd, struck dumb at Harry’s reinforcements. “Who’s this nutter?” He added, not taking his eyes off the Ninja.
“Never mind who he is, mind what he’s doing. I have never seen or read about this application of wandless magic so flawlessly. How is he doing that?” Hermione asked him, concern evident on her face.
“Search me.” Harry muttered to them. Lloyd clenched his fists, and the three wizards struck. Each of them fired a different jinx, forcing Lloyd to leap to the side to avoid the triple-attack. The spells exploded into a shower of multi-coloured fireworks. Ron and Harry advanced, firing spell after spell towards Lloyd, who quickly took the backfoot. He summoned elemental shields to deflect the onslaught of attacks coming his way.
Hermione, however, had a different plan. She leapt out and flung her wand at Lloyd’s feet, crying, “Bombarda!”
Groaning, Lloyd took off, using Airjitzu to fly in the air and land on the roof of a building nearby.
“Unsupported flight? But that’s-”
“-Only something Death Eaters can do, yeah.” Harry finished Hermione’s sentence for her, gritting his teeth. “I don’t even think Voldemort could do some of the stuff he has been doing. Summoning dragons and mental stuff..”
“What?!” Both Ron and Hermione’s voices rang out. Lloyd fired bolts of energy at them, which Hermione deflected with a mysterious spell of her own. Ron sent a hex flying up to meet him, but he stopped it narrowly. Lloyd leapt from the building, but Hermione sent him crashing to the ground with a spell. Ron caught him around the legs with a well-placed Leg-Locker Curse, which stuck Lloyd’s legs together and prevented him from moving. He wobbled dangerously, fighting off their spells with attacks of his own.
“Expelliarmus!” Harry bellowed, the force of the spell knocking Lloyd off his feet. He rolled backwards, his legs still bound together by what seemed to be an invisible, unbreakable chain. His face still dangerously hot, Harry slashed with his wand, slicing another cut into Lloyd’s cheek, splattering red onto the white snow.
Legs bound together, cheek cut open and in a dangerous position, Lloyd’s anger boiled into the danger zone once again. He looked up at Harry, his eyes purple once again. Taken aback, he stepped backwards. Dropping their wands slightly, Ron and Hermione turned to him with concern on their faces.
“Harry?” Hermione asked him nervously.
“What’s going on, mate?” Harry didn’t respond to either of them, his eyes wide. Lloyd managed to climb to his feet, his hands glowing purple. He growled angrily, almost monstrous in delivery. Harry’s blood almost turned cold, but he kept a brave face, his knuckles tightening on his wand. Ron and Hermione turned back to Lloyd and, too, stepped backwards in shock.
Roaring, Lloyd fired a beam of purple energy at them all, slicing horizontally to hit all of them. All three wizards summoned their Shield Charms, but the Destructive energy slammed against the shields like a speeding truck, sending a noise like a gong ringing through the street, forcing the hairs on Harry to stand on end.
“What the bloody hell-?!” Ron grunted, as another blast of Destruction slammed into his shield, knocking him to the floor with a grunt. Hermione squealed, but she was also overpowered, forcing her backwards as the Destruction hammered against her magic. Harry’s shield managed to stay, but his arms ached with the force it took to keep it. Sighing, he took a step forwards, but Lloyd didn’t aim towards him, he fired a purple blast at Ron, who was getting to his feet. The blast caught him in the stomach, blasting him through the air.
He landed on his stomach painfully, groaning as he got to his feet. Swearing loudly, his concentration dropped, freeing Lloyd’s legs from their prison. Immediately, he took off towards them, snarling. Hermione screamed, but Harry dug his feet into the ground. He fired a Knockback Jinx, but while the spell managed to slow him down, Lloyd wasn’t flung into the air, and instead dug his feet into the snow.
He hammered against the shield himself, his strikes amplified by the power of the Oni, each blow sending waves of pain through Harry’s arms. He bit back a cry. This was nothing…he had to grow back all the bones in his right arm before, that was something. He had been possessed by Voldemort at the Ministry, that was painful. This? This was…
But what it was, Harry would never know, as a particularly hard strike interrupted his thoughts, breaking through the Shield Charm and catching him in the stomach. He was sent to the ground like the other two, at the mercy of the Ninja with a murderous purple gleam in his eye. He had known the glint well, it was the same look in Voldemort’s eye whenever he had attacked, whenever he had killed…
Lloyd raised his arms, but something held him back from delivering the final blow. Harry scrambled backwards. Two Ninja, one dressed in a red and gold gi, the other in a gunmetal grey gi, each placed a hand on his chest, pushing him backwards.
“Lloyd, buddy, you gotta snap out of it!” Said the one in red. Lloyd looked at him in surprise, his eyes turning green almost instantaneously.
“Kai?! Nya?! What are you doing here?” He asked them. Kai crossed his arms smugly. Nya smiled kindly, although she supposed it was hidden by her hood.
“We both seemed to remember promising that we’d protect you, no matter what.” Nya told him kindly. Lloyd dropped his arms. Nya took her place at his right side, Kai on the left. “Who are they?” Nya asked, eyeing the gashes decorating Lloyd’s cheek. “Did they do that?”
Kai’s smug expression instantly turned stony, as he too noticed the blood dripping onto the snow. Ron and Hermione got to their feet and took their place next to Harry, who also stood back up. Lloyd nodded, his face hardened.
“Then let’s get ‘em. I’ll take the one on with the red hair.” Kai muttered to them.
“He’s all yours.” Lloyd muttered back, looking directly into Harry’s own eyes. Kai was the first to strike, throwing a fireball towards Ron, who responded by shooting a jet of his own flames. The two flames met, exploding into a sea of smoke that Hermione pointed her wand at, spraying it into the Ninja’s eyes. As expected, their eyes immediately started to water.
“Agh!” Kai yelled, stepping backwards. He pulled out his sword with a flourish, as Nya mirrored him with her triple-pronged spear. Lloyd’s fingernails dug into his palm. The smoke cleared. The three Ninja readied themselves, and echoed each other in a chorus.
“Ninjaaaaa, GO!” They all shouted, spinning themselves into a tornado of Elemental Energy and sped towards the Golden Trio, who each readied their wands.
There were cries of ‘Flipendo!’ and ‘Incendio!’ as all six of the combatants did battle. Ron and Kai were engaged in a heated, fiery battle, with flames being thrown across the snow, melting the area around them. Contrasting them, Nya and Hermione entered their own furious battle, Hermione using Charms to impede the tornadoes' progress.
But Lloyd only had eyes for one wizard. He rocketed towards Harry, who responded with equal fury. The only sound their battle made was the occasional crack of a spell or blast of Energy.
Harry moved backwards, slowing Lloyd’s approach with an Impediment Jinx. He was forced to conjure a shield to deflect a fireball being thrown at him from Ron’s fight, a result of Ron deflecting a vicious attack from Kai. Lloyd spun to a stop, firing more blasts of his element as Harry slashed spells towards him.
Nya punched Hermione across the face and doused her with a jet of water, knocking her to the ground. Spluttering, Hermione flicked her wand up. Nya flew upwards into the air, with another spell sending her crashing firmly into the ground. The Water Ninja got back to her feet, firing a ball of water that Hermione met with a bolt of fire, the resultant steam obscuring their view.
Hermione waved her wand, turning the steam into birds that zoomed towards Nya, pecking and stretching at her. Kai looked over and furiously threw a fireball towards the birds, scaring them away and narrowly avoiding Nya’s head. She resumed her assault on Hermione, stabbing and slicing with her spear. Hermione knocked each attack aside non-verbally, her hair extra frizzy as the water dried.
Kai’s furious assaults on Ron were slowly overwhelming him. Between the slashes from the sword and the blasts of Fire, Ron could barely find a window to respond with attacks of his own. Enough snow was being melted that they could make out the ground underneath.
“Fiyaaaaa!” Kai cried, blowing a jet of flames from his hands. Ron conjured a jet of water to counter it, but Kai leapt towards him, sword held high. A jet of red light crashed into his back and his sword slipped from his grip, flying towards Harry like Lloyd’s had done what seemed like an eternity ago.
Grunting, Lloyd leapt into the air, firmly clasping onto the sword as it flew out in front of him. He landed on the ground, spinning the sword around as he turned to face Harry. Ron knocked Kai back with a hex, assaulting him with a variety of spells that appeared at the front of his mind.
There was a cry from somewhere to Lloyd’s left. Nya was being overrun by Hermione’s barrage of cleverly placed spells. Her spear was lying in the snow next to her, desperately dodging the spells. Ultimately, she was too slow, as a spell caught her in the middle, throwing her backwards. She slammed into the sign of a building and fell to the ground, moving no more.
“NYA!” Both Lloyd and Kai shouted. Kai abandoned his fight with Ron and sprinted towards Hermione, blasting fire at her as he ran, yelling at the top of his lungs. Lloyd angrily turned to Harry, but Ron came to his defence, flinging spells at him. Angrily, Lloyd’s eyes flickered purple as he blocked the spell. Pushing down the deep urge to rip them limb from limb, Lloyd flipped forwards, punching out at both of them. The power of their combined Shield Charms nearly blew him off his feet, but he managed to keep his footing. Kai’s shouts seemed like they came from a great distance as blood rushed to Lloyd’s ears. He steeled himself, charging his fists with his Energy. He dropped to the floor, sweeping his legs wide and catching both Harry and Ron.
They crashed to the ground, but before they could land fully, Lloyd planted his knee into Harry’s stomach, knocking him backwards. Harry and Ron rolled backwards on the floor, each of them aiming their spells for Lloyd’s heart, but a scream made them drop their guard. Kai blasted Hermione in the chest with a fireball. Furiously, they both turned to Kai and opened their mouths. They were going to curse him, Lloyd wouldn’t be able to stop them-
“OI!” Ron bellowed. Kai turned his head to lock eyes with the two wizards staring daggers into him. He shrugged cordially, and Lloyd got to his feet, charging up a blast of energy. The green light met their eyes and they turned to face Lloyd, each of them raising their wands. Hermione disappeared on the spot with a crack.
But that didn’t matter. All that mattered was the two wizards about to curse his brother. His friend. Roaring angrily, Kai flew through the air, riding the flames as if he were on a broomstick himself. Hermione appeared next to them, wincing slightly.
There was a flash of light, and Lloyd’s energy was gone, courtesy of Hermione. He looked down at his hands, stunned, as Kai screamed at him to move. There was a flash of red, blinding, as three wands came down to slash at Lloyd. Yelling, he tackled Lloyd to the side, all three Stunning Spells crashing into his chest. Kai let out a scream unlike anything Lloyd had heard before, and was thrown backwards. The force of the three spells knocked his hood off his head, exposing his spiky head and scarred face. The momentum carried him away and he slammed into the side of a store, the pure force of his speed combined with the three Stunners nearly threatening to topple the building. Blood ran down his forehead, and Kai fell onto the ground, motionless.
“NO! NYA! KAI!” Lloyd screamed. Civilians poked their heads out of the building cautiously, attracted by the noise but wary of the screaming and the fireballs. Lloyd looked to Kai, blood running down the side of his head, motionless. He looked over to Nya, buried under a sign and snow, also motionless. His shoulders shook and his legs gave away, bringing him to his knees.
“How could you…?” He spoke softly, yet dangerously, each word emphasised with grief and fury. Hermione pointed her wand at him, ropes suddenly bound him from head to toe. Kai’s sword slipped from his grip as Lloyd looked up at them, tears stinging the sides of his eyes. They promised to protect him, and yet, there they were, on the floor, still.
Lloyd squeezed his eyes shut, fighting back the howl of rage that threatened to burst out of him. His blood seemed to be replaced with cold fury, filling him like a balloon, detaching him from his body. He opened his eyes, which sparkled a violent violet. The ropes binding him burnt away, as if his fury came out in waves, like a barrier between him and the world. But then, as he looked down at his hands, glowing purple, ice-cold fear fought against his immeasurable rage. His voice shook.
“No..!” He stood up and clutched his head painfully, fighting the desire that had overcome his father and pushed him into the depths of evil. His mind’s eye showed him that fateful day in Kryptarium Prison, where he was disowned and beaten, beaten by his own father. He glowed purple that day, and all of his love was sapped from his body. He couldn’t…He didn’t want to be like him! His body burned, as if fighting this impulse was destroying him. He spun around and collapsed, yelling out. His scream punched the air, a mixture of agony and rage. It was a pain beyond imagining. He could feel himself changing, felt Destruction overtaking him, and clung to anything that could pull him back from the depths of darkness. He thought of his friends, but the pain only grew.
“NO…! HARRY…!” He called out desperately. He no longer cared whether they were friend or foe. He just wanted them safe. He wanted help. His body glowed the same violet as his eyes, washing over him like a tsunami. He screamed once more. His voice dripped with nothing but agony. Tears stung his eyes. He looked back at the Golden Trio, looking on, thunderstruck. “I-I…” He screamed, falling onto his stomach. Shaking, twitching, racked with unbearable agony, he yelled out at them desperately. “I’m…I’m sorry…”
Getting to his knees, Lloyd held his head. He groaned, anger coming back to his shaky voice. The violet light enveloping him glowed brighter still, almost blinding. Lloyd’s screaming was replaced by a demonic roaring. Harry’s eyes drifted from Lloyd’s head to his back, and what he saw cut through him like a knife. Two golden arms pushed themselves out of Lloyd’s torso. His head was no longer decorated with blonde hair. He had a golden head, with horns adorning the top, where ears might have been in a rabbit. The figure got to their feet, roaring. Purple lightning decorated the sky, booming in their ears, like a warning, screaming at them to flee.
This was no longer Lloyd. This was the Golden Oni. And he wanted to destroy.
He turned to face them, and roared. Ron took a step back and Hermione squeaked fearfully. Harry stared into the Oni’s purple, glowing eyes. He wasn’t scared, nor was he angry. He only felt…pity. He felt pity, not because the transformation was painful, but because he, too, knew what it was like to have something evil inside of him. He knew what it was like to constantly have to fight and resist that connection, that impulse of rage. And he reckoned he knew how to combat this type of affliction. Love.
Before he could formulate a plan, the Golden Oni walked towards them, their two upper arms firing beams of Destruction. These beams were refined, as if it had had a lifetime of practice destroying things. Unlike Lloyd’s, the Oni’s beams of Destruction were cold and calculated. Harry summoned a silver shield, but as the Destruction hammered against it, he knew it was no good. The shield shimmered away as quickly as it had come, and a beam of Destruction slammed into his chest, throwing him to the ground. Ron and Hermione rushed forwards, firing jinxes at the Oni, who walked forwards still, barely even considering them.
Ron fired an Impediment Jinx. The spell slammed into the Oni, but it walked on, acting as if nothing had been fired at it in the first place. It walked closer and closer to Harry, who was crawling backwards, his arms aching dangerously. Ron shielded Harry with his body, but the Oni grabbed him by the neck, punching him across the cheek. Hermione fired a spell that forced the Oni to drop the wizard now cursing and trying to stem the flow of blood from his nose. It turned towards her, who, despite her legs shaking and trembling hand, stood her ground.
The Golden Oni roared with fury, and fired two blasts of Destruction with his lower arms. Hermione conjured a silver shield, but like Harry, she found herself flying backwards, the blasts catching her stomach. Ron stood up, and the Oni threw its elbow backwards into the other side of his face. A sickening crunch told the Oni that it had met its mark. Ron fell to the ground again, bruised and battered, his wand slipping out of his hands.
Roaring, the Oni picked up the wand and held it in its hands, enveloping it in a purple light. When the Oni brought its hands away, Ron’s wand was little more than dust. Ron got back to his feet shakily, but the Oni grabbed his lapel and threw him away. Ron rolled across the snow and didn’t get back up.
Hermione aimed her wand for it, but the Oni had other plans. It fired a beam of Destruction that enveloped the wand, obliterating its top half and rendering it useless. Hermione struggled to her feet, but the Oni blasted her in the chest and knocked her to the ground, where she remained, motionless.
Now, finally, the Oni turned its attention to Harry, who was still aiming his wand towards it. It roared, and rushed forwards, gripping Harry by the neck and lifting him off his feet.
“Relashio!” Harry choked. There was a flash of light, and Harry was released. Scrambling backwards, he fired the first spell that came to mind. “Imperio!”
But if the spell had an effect, it wasn’t visible. The Oni continued walking towards him, charging up a blast of Destruction with all four of its arms. Harry scrambled for another spell.
“Sectumsempra!” He yelled desperately, waving his wand wildly. Again, it seemed as if the spell had minimal effect. The Oni stopped, but only for a moment. With a scream, it unleashed the largest beam of energy yet. Harry tried to conjure a shield, but the attack went through like it was nothing, and pushed him through the snow. There was a flash of gold as the Oni kicked out, slamming its foot into Harry’s face. Nose streaming with blood, Harry scrambled backwards.
“Lloyd! Lloyd- wait!” Harry cried, summoning more shields. The Golden Oni resorted to fists, smashing through them with brute force. “I know!” He bellowed. “I know what it’s like to have something dark inside you! I know what it’s like to have something dark and angry constantly fighting you-!” He was interrupted by the Oni slamming through another shield, which finally succeeded in knocking Harry’s wand from his hand.
“I’m just like you! I know it’s hard! I know how it can overwhelm you. Make you just want to…destroy!” Harry thought of those fleeting moments when he wanted to strike, sink his fangs into Dumbledore and never let go. The Oni raised its arms to end the battle, but then stopped. Heart leaping, Harry continued. “You’re just like me. I can tell. We’ve lost so much. I’ve lost family, friends, teachers…” His heart panged, but his words seemed to seep into the Oni’s head, and it let its arms fall to its side.
“And you’ve lost people too.” At those words, the Oni’s eyes flickered green, as if some small part of Lloyd was fighting its influence desperately. “It hurts. This isn’t you, Lloyd. A great man, Professor Dumbledore, once told me something…” The Oni stood still, listening to him.
“It is our choices, Lloyd, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
The words felt like a punch to the mouth. The Golden Oni took a step backwards, and looked to the side. It saw itself in the reflection of a store window. A monster. A golden demon that wanted destruction. The Oni’s eyes flicked green.
“No…!” The Oni groaned, holding its hand to its head, but the voice that came out of its mouth was human. It glowed purple again, and it fell to the ground. Its glow was blinding, but it remained so for only a moment, and died away. In its place was Lloyd, who got to his feet. Shaken, his eyes stinging. He turned to Harry and let out a gasp, running towards him.
Harry let out a sigh of relief. Lloyd looked down at him. “I’m sorry. For all of it.” He held out his hand, which Harry took. With a grunt, Lloyd helped Harry to his feet and shook his hand gratefully.
“I’m sorry, too.” Harry told him. Their green eyes met once more. Lloyd turned to his friends sadly, but Harry held his shoulder. “Let me.”
He pointed his wand at all four of them in turn, and muttered ‘Rennervate!’. At once, Kai, Nya, Ron and Hermione all stirred, and sat up painfully. A grin broke out on both Lloyd and Harry’s faces. Lloyd ran over to Ron and Hermione while Harry ran over to Kai and Nya, both apologising profusely.
“Well, we’ll need new wands…” Ron groaned painfully. “Let’s get going to Diagon Alley.” Harry and Hermione nodded. They grasped each other’s wrists. Harry met Lloyd’s gaze one last time, and they smiled at each other. There was a final crack, and all three of them were gone.
Lloyd ran over to Kai and Nya, who had their arms around each other, holding the pained parts of their body gingerly.
“Get back to the Monastery. There was still a Vengestone deal somewhere here, and I’m still going to check it out. Er, or, what’s left of it…” He told them. Kai and Nya, who had taken her hood off, nodded. The siblings hobbled off together, stopping to pick up their weapons. Lloyd draped his hood back over his head and turned away, walking down the snowy street, towards the Vengstone deal he was sent here for in the first place.
Crunch…crunch…crunch…
K.O!
Conclusion[]
Kaiya: Aw, come on! Why didn’t they rip each other apart? Who even won?
Counter: …Lloyd won. Despite that, Harry certainly had enough advantages to keep him in the fight. His sheer variety of spells and equipment meant that he had a solid advantage in versatility. Lloyd could have easily gotten overwhelmed. With such unexpected techniques and stuff Lloyd can’t counter, like Harry’s Cloak, this match-up was especially hard on Lloyd. His years at Hogwarts probably means he's practiced spells and magic for far longer than Lloyd has his powers, and so he probably has more experience than Lloyd.
Kaiya: For sure. Especially given spells like his Reductor Curse and Sectumsempra, which were essentially One-Hit Kills. All he would have needed to do was get one lucky shot in with them.
Damien: The problem was, how likely was Harry going to get that lucky shot? Sure, the Elder Wand would have allowed Harry to generate over 400 Tons of TNT, but fighting with the Overlord and other Ninja, Lloyd was leagues beyond that. He could survive feats worth 30 Megatons of TNT on the low-end and over 1 Zettaton of TNT on the high-end. But, given the nature of spells, that wasn’t really the biggest factor here. Lloyd was more skilled with his much more limited arsenal due to his more intense training and connection with his powers. Let's not forget that while many of Harry's spells were unexpected, Lloyd has fought a wider variety of foes than Harry and is used to different ways of fighting enemies.
Hannah: Surprisingly, speed was the biggest factor here. If Harry was faster than Lloyd, he could have realistically hit him with a spell before Lloyd overwhelmed him with his strength. Now, some wizards, like Grindelwald and Voldemort, have summoned bolts of lightning from their wands, which is worth over Mach 1200. However, Lloyd trains with a literal Master of Lightning, who fires bolts of natural lightning daily. This would be nothing new to Lloyd.
Counter: As this is the fastest feat in Harry Potter, it really doesn’t lend much credence to Harry having the speed advantage. In fact, the best reactionary feat in the Harry Potter franchise would be Dedalus Diggle being able to summon shooting stars, which can be as fast as Mach 210 on the high-end. Much slower than lightning. Lloyd had a quite distinct speed advantage
Kaiya: Which means Lloyd could avoid all of Harry’s possible spells while landing all of his own attacks. This means that Harry would not be very likely to land that lucky shot. With Lloyd’s superior speed and strength, he could easily overwhelm him and avoid all of his spells. Remember; Harry isn’t that tough physically, well, at least, not when compared to Lloyd.
Damien: Tough enough to survive being slammed through a wall, but that doesn’t…mean… much when compared to 30 Megatons of TNT. His shields would also likely crumble under Lloyd’s power. And also, Lloyd isn’t a dummy. All of Harry’s spells come from one source and Harry has to use a shield to block all attacks. Without his wand, Harry is defenseless. Hell, if Lloyd enters his Oni Form, he would be even stronger than that!
Hannah: Because Lloyd is so much stronger and faster, he could realistically get past all of Harry’s spells and break his wand before Harry is able to respond, which basically means he’s lost. This is without mentioning the things Lloyd can counter, like Harry’s flight.
Counter: Harry definitely gave Lloyd a run for his money, but Lloyd’s strength, speed and durability allowed him to bypass the Boy Who Lived’s defenses.
Kaiya: Lloyd was the ‘Oni’ one who could take the Chosen One down!
Counter: The winner is Lloyd Garmadon.
