Description[]
Legend of Zelda vs Kid Icarus! Nintendo has made multiple heroes over the years. And these two teens grab their bow and blade, and set of to free their home land from a fell god! But in a battle to the death, only one of these Children of Light can walk away with a blood soiled blade.

Soul: Darkness... It never rests, as it only seeks to destroy and consume.
Sun: But some young heroes strive to fight it. Grabbing a weapon gifted to them from a god of light and fighting off the evil around them. Link the multi-incarnate champion of Hyrule.
Homura: And Pit, the flightless captian, of Palutena's forces...
Sun: He's Soul, she's a yandere, and I'm Sun...
Soul: And it is our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win, a fanon, Death Battle!
Link forces his way into Death Battle[]
(Cues: Legend of Zelda Theme Melody)
Soul: Hyrule is a land, of powerful magic, goddesses, heroes, and demons. And while many myths have come and gone, non is as recognized as the Legend of the Hero...
Sun: Shortly after creating Hyrule, the goddess of light, Hylia, left her blood in the hands of a royal family she crafted to reincarnate from her. But with the demon king demise seeking the power of the Tri-Force. She had no choice but to create a blade made to destroy evil, and created a reincarnating hero with the destiny of slaying the demon king whenever he would rise.
Homura: After slaying demise the demon promised one thing... That he would reincarnate every 100 years, just so he can slay him and his descendants...
Soul: So eventually 100 years passed as all three reincarnated, Demise was reborn as the king of theives Ganondorf, and eventually Ganondorf fought again with the Hero and lost... And every time Ganondorf seeked to soil Hyrule is the blood of innocents, the hero would always come back to slay him.
Homura: This hero is known by many names... But all through out time, he is most commonly known as, Link.
(Cues: Majora's Mask - Boss Theme)
Soul: So, having over millions of reincarnations of experience, Link obviously has experience with a ton of equipment. Such as his Legendary Master Sword, which can fire lasers and destroy evil. The Hylian Shield is indestructible and can block all sorts of attacks. The Gale Boomerang can create whirlwinds, grabbing foes and items. The Clawshot can be used to grab onto nearly surface enemy or item to pull Link to it, or them to him.
Homura: Link has gotten such a big arsenal of weapons that we only will be including other than his main weapons, some important ones he is most iconic for in modern times. Such as the Sheikiah Slate, a tablet that has apps that can give him, Magnesis for metal control, infinite Pulse Bombs for explosives, Cryonis for freezing water and melting ice, and Stasis to temporally freeze a foe in time.
Sun: The Ocarina of Time can let him change the time instantly with songs from day to night, can slow it down without effecting any living being there, can speed it up, and go back in time.
Soul: The hammer, is just a hammer... And his bow can fire, arrows, ice arrows, fire arrows, electrical arrows, explosive arrows, ancient tech destroying arrows, and Light Arrows, evil's bane.
Sun: Link's Fire and Ice Rods are self explanatory, the Paraglider, let's him glide for long distances. The Mirror Shield can reflect energy and Light based attacks. Ravio's Braclet can let him turn into a painting and stick to any surface he can reach. The Wind Waker lets him control the winds to his liking. And the spinner is a giant top he can spin on and crush all in his way.
Homura: Link has multiple Bombchus to that are basically normal explosives but they home in on a target before exploding and can even cling to walls.
Sun: Like how you cling to Madoka all the time...
Homura: ... *readies pistol*
Sun: Crap! I get the message!
(Cues: A Link Between Worlds - Lorule Castle)
Soul: Well Link has had multiple powerful items and weapons, non is more powerful, than the Fierce Deity Mask. Increasing his power by a ton, and giving up some mobility and speed for nothing but raw power, and a pretty sweet sword, that is able to compete with Majora, one of the strongest demons in the Legend of Zelda franchise.
Homura: Link is a very strategical fighter, using his brain over brawn to get himself out of quick scenerios. And with his skill, he has defended Hyrule from Ganondorf in nearly every installment. He was once able to beat the strongest form of Ganon without the use of Holy Weapons. Is able to quickly react to light and arrow shots. And has survived many things no ordinary human should be able to.
Soul: But even great heroes have their flaws. Like how Link's gadgets and all are mostly used for puzzle solving. And all the different Links are seen inconsistent in power, with some being way stronger than others. He is very rash, perfecting to think on his feet than planning ahead. That and he often has a hard time dealing with large amount of foes at once.
Sun: That and birds hate him...
Soul: Even so, many may say he is just some lousy Peter Pan ripoff, his franchise is being milked like a sick cow. But after seeing him in combat, they shall soon dread those words. Legend of Zelda? I don't think so... This is the Legend of LINK!
(Plays: Link Quote)
Pit takes flight for Death Battle[]
(Cues: Kid Icarus - Underworld)
Soul: With good there has always been evil, with every light, there is darkness that seeks to destroy it. As for the goddess of light Palutena, that would be the Ruler of the Underworld Medusa.
Homura: After Palutena exposed Medusa for the monster she is by altering her appearance to match her heart. Medusa abducted Palutena out of rage, and slaughtered every single one of her angels except a young angel.
Sun: And that angel's name was Pit...
(Cues: Kid Icarus Uprising - The Return of Palutena)
Sun: After rescuing Palutena, and being the only living angel left on earth. Palutena quickly made Pit the captain of her troops of centurions, and acted as a surrogate big sister figure to him. As Pit continued to fight for good and slay evil across many years.
Soul: And to do so, he obviously needs some tools for the job, and because he has a crapton of weapons like Link, we are only going to be featuring a few of the more well known ones he can have. Such as Palutena's Bow, a bow meant for slaying evil with light and can separate into two blades, he can even change the direction in which the arrows go.
Sun: The Silver Bow is the same except it switches out mobility for power. Pit also has the First Blade, a starting weapon that is really great close range and can fire energy based attacks at range. The Upperdash Arm is a quick paced weapon that improves the force of his punches, and can also fire energy.
Homura: The Electrodash Arm is practically the same but it sacrifices a bit of power for electric based attacks. The Guardian Obitars can block most attacks and fire energy attacks back but can break... And when they do, Pit has a generic shield to guard with.
Soul: The Ore Club is one of the strongest close range weapons in the game but is hard to hit with, but when swung, it can create some miniature whirlwinds strong enough to rip through many enemies.
Sun: Pit has gained access to multiple vehicles but non is more loved by him than the Cherubot. The Cherubot gives him some armored protection and can cause small shock waves when it jumps. And while Pit can't fly on his own for some reason, he can use the Power of Flight to do so!
Homura: Only with the help of a goddess...
Soul: Even still, it is seen he can use the power of flight in a few short bursts in Super Smash Bros. Which then brings me to one of his greatest weapons. The Three Sacred Treasures...
(Cues: Kid Icarus Uprising - Palutena's Temple)
Homura: The Three Sacred Treasures Consist of the Arrows of Light, the Wings of Pegasus, and the Mirror Shield. With it he can fly for a limitless amount of time, block nearly any attack without much effort, and fire an infinite amount of giant lasers, arrows and explosions. And all three weapons are work better against evil.
Sun: For apparently only being 14... In angel years, this kid has a some pretty good feats up his tunic. Such as how he defeated Medusa twice, is able to pilot the Lightning Chariot, was able to stop 3 separate armies multiple times, defeated Hades, defeated Pyrrhon after he infused himself with the Aurom Hive. Heck! He was even called the strongest Nintendo Character before!
Soul: I feel like, Ness, Shulk, Dimentio, Kirby, Tabuu, Arceus, and Super Saiyan Blue Marth would disagree but I regress.
Homura: And you are still forgetting some of his VITAL flaws. Pit is very naive, and can be tricked easily. And he constantly relies on the help from Palutena or Viridi to get stuff done. And if he is left with no one to talk to, he will slowly loose his mind. In fact, the Three Sacred Treasures can be broken when he needs them most, like when Hades broke them with a single hit. And his wings are practically useless since he can't fly on his own.
Soul: Homura! Stop being so doom and gloom! You gotta be upbeat! Upbeat! Upbeat!
Homura: ...
Sun: Or you'll be dead meat. Dead meat. Dead meat!
Homura: He has infected you two with his annoyingly cheerfulness...
(Plays: Pit Quote )
Intermission[]

Soul: All right, the combatants are set. Let's settle this once and for all...
Sun: But first... A message from Homura...

Soul: Ugh... this cannot be good...
Homura: With Kyuu-Be-Gone, any Incubator that is foolish enough to step on your property will instantly be taken care of. We can even demonstrate multiple times.
Homura throws a live Kyuubey onto the slab as the Soul and Sun watch in horror as the creature is violently and brutally killed with Homura smiling a bit as blood splashes onto her face.

Kyuubey's singed head falls nearby Soul and Sun as the two start to freak out while Homura is smiling sadistically.

(Arena in Skyworld---Midday)
An arena filled with people chanting is seen. The tournament of the gods is a success, and now at the finals, everyone was happy and excited for the finals. As the commentators returned to their commentator booth to the sound of everyone cheering they had huge smiles as they awaited the match to begin.
One of the commentators grabbed their microphone with a small fists as the other grabbed theirs with a pulsing blue and red fist. “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME TO THE FINALS!” One of the hosts said as the audience was raving for more. “It is I! Fan favorite character of Kid Icarus Uprising, and the god of death, Hades!” One of the commentators spoke as his voice echoed through the arena. “And I am the goddess of nature, and way superior to all you all you worthless humans watching or reading this… Viridi!” After she spoke the audience started booing her as Hades replied, “So, does this mean you are wiping them out? Because I have a full schedule today… But never mind that, let’s get on with this! OUR FIRST COMBATANT!”
The first figure was walking up, his silhouette was similar to that of Peter Pan, and he had a bow, quiver, blade, and shield on his back as his hat and a giant scarf flowed with the wind. Virility grabbed her mic and began to spoke, “He is the champion of Hyrule, the multi-incarnate slayer of evil, wielder of the Master Sword, it is Link!” Link ran into the ring and grabbed the Master Sword, and thruster it into the air as he let out a battle cry and got into a battle stance.
“And now, for his opponent” Hades spoke as as the figure of a young angel holding twin blades is seen. “He is Palutena’s errand boy who is as flightless as a chicken, and is as naive as he is upset I spent this whole time picking fun at him! Pitty-Pat!” Pit ran into the ring looking a bit upset as he turned towards the commentator booth and said, “You know, you could be a bit nicer when I beat you in canon!”
(Cues: Kid Icarus Uprising - Boss Battle 1)
Both of the two started to walk around, both are combat ready. Pit grabbed both the blades of Palutena’s bow and Link equipped the Hylian Shield while gripping the Master Sword tighter as both ran towards each other and swung their blades blocking each other's strikes.
FIGHT![]
Both warriors’ blades sparked greatly forcing both to jump back. Pit formed the blades into a bow and started shooting multiple light arrows at Link. Link immediately ducked behind his Shield blocking most of the attacks, and the jerked his Shield forward, reflecting the attacks at Pit. Link then rushed towards Pit and swung the Master Sword at him multiple times, launching him back. Link then grabbed the Master Sword, making the blade face towards his back, and swung it in the air launching a large blade of energy at Pit.
While being launched, Pit managed to break the throw by opening his wings as they glowed blue and was practically thrown at the beam, with his Upperdash Arm equipped. He uppercutted the blast making it fly towards Link who blocked with the Hylian Shield again. When he moved his Shield Pit was rushing at him with the Upperdash Ams and hit Link, square in the face with them. Link stumbled a bit as Pit hit him multiple times forming a bit of a combo.
Recovering from that flurry of attacks, Link noticed the Metal Gates behind Pit and grabbed his Shiekia Slate and fired a beam at the gate. Link jerked the tablet back pulling the gate towards him and Pit, knocking Pit off balance for a small chain and claw to grab hold of. Pit was being pulled towards Link before his eyes as the Hylian champion was waiting with the Master Sword eager to strike. Pit quickly equipped his Guardian Obitars to counter the blow as it’s shields blocked the blow. Pit reacted afterwards by firing multiple beams of light at Link which Link could not react to point blank and was damaged by the blows.
(Cues: Kid Icarus Uprising - Lightning Battle)
Pit jumped back as his Obitars kept firing, only for his attacks to get launched back at him when Link had his Light Shield blocking all the attacks and reflecting them. Pit grabbed the First Blade and shot a couple of shots at Link who blocked them all with the Hylian Shield and grabbed onto Gale Boomerang and threw it at Pit. Pit retaliated by taking a slash at the boomerang which destroyed it as it was creating a whirlwind.
Link grabbed both a Fire and Ice Rod and flung two giant balls of both elements at Pit who unable to counter is hit by both being sent back a bit as one of his wings is frozen and the other on fire. Link hops on a spinner like object as it dashes towards Pit, who somehow manages to fire multiple giant lasers. Link dodges them all as a Cherubot drops out of the sky as Pit jumps in it.
The spinner and the Cherubot clash causing sparks to fly. The spinner slams into the ground launching the Cherubot into the air as it jumps on top of the little mech, drilling into it with the speed it is spinning at. The Cherubot extends a fist launching a punch right into the spinner, badly damaging it and sending it flying… But Link was not on it!
As the Cherubot turns in circles looking for where Link went, a small cartoon like painting of Link is seen on the back of the mech. The painting moves inside the cracks in it’s armor and returns to his normal form breaking the mech. Pit jumps out of the mech as he stares Link in the face.
Pit ran towards Link with the Ore Club and swung it at him only to stop, frozen in time by the Sheikiah Slate’s Stasis ability. Link grabbed the Hammer and hit Pit with it multiple times with Pit taking no physical damage. After this flurry of attacks, Pit dropped the Ore Club and was launched into the sky faster than he can even fly.
With Pit out of sight Link did a victory pose. Soon enough a giant laser was fired that Link quickly dodged it. As Pit with his wings glowing landed in the arena and cockily said, “I’m not done yet!”As Link was starting to charge Pit immediate said aloud, “Hey, wait a minute… Viridi, if you and Hades are supposed to be commentating, why aren’t you?” Viridi shortly replied, “Because, it would cause more work for the writer. While I may hate humans, I can feel sympathy for a depressed lonely teen going through high school… Also, Hades just… Left… To where I do not know nor do I really care. But he will turn up soon” As Pit focused back at Link he noticed he was surrounded by multiple different bombs as a flaming arrow was headed towards him. Immediately a huge explosion filled the area with Pit heavily damaged rolling on the ground to stop his wings from burning.
(Music Stops)
“HEY! Can you not attack someone when they are on the middle of a conversation?!” Pit shouted at Link who just confused, blinked a bit. But before either of the two could react, a lightning storm started as Hades appeared from the clouds. “Sorry but,I will not-not be committing the rest of the match. I am a bit busy with something else…” He said as multiple of his minions flood the arena.

Link grabs his bow as Pit grabs Palutena’s bow as both shoot down multiple of the weaker minions. A few Clobberskulls walk into the arena fiercely as Link equips Bomb Arrows, as Pit grabs a Grenade, both launch their attacks at the Clobberskulls quickly dealing with them. Suddenly without reason, the Underworld army starts clearing out of the arena. Link and Pit raise their guards as Eight Shadowy Figures rise out of some dark holes, all of them each have fallen in battle.
A figure resembling Weiss dashes at Link as their blades clash as a figure resembling Mr. Krabs goes after Pit. Link is locked in a deep sword fight with Weiss, both of each other blocking and countering each other’s strikes. Weiss jabs forward as Link sidesteps and then impales Weiss with the Master Sword as the shadows leave her body and it slowly fades away. Pit quickly finishes off Mr. Krabs with an upperdash arms as Charlotte in her 1st form inches forward. Pit slowly walks towards it as Charlotte goes into her second form and chases Pit who runs away.
Link is dueling with Ace, blocking hits and retaliating with Arrows. Ace dodges most of them but gets hit with a Thunder Arrow. Link quickly shoots more as Ace fades away while the shadows leave his body. Link turns over towards Pit who is backed into a corner as Charlotte opens her mouth wide. Link shoots an ice arrow at the Witch of Sweets freezing her as Pit smashes her with the Ore Club leaving behind a small gem.
Mob and Mikasa start rushing at the heroes while Takumi fires multiple dark arrows. Link and Pit start running at the two as both dodge the multiple shots. As their possessed opponents close in Link and Pit cut through them as they fade away. Takumi fires more arrows as Link Quickly equips a Light Arrow firing straight through Takumi’s chest, making him fade away.
Pit jumps up in excitement thinking the battle is won, but when he turns to Link, Link is bleeding heavily from a hole in his chest he got from a surprise attack from Usagi. He limps over and seemingly dies but is flooded by red energy and gets up restored. Link and Pit go over team attacking Usagi, making her fade away.
(Music Stops)
“Well that takes care of that…” Pit said as he and Link both wounded looked at each other with respect. Two bottles of the Drink of the Gods appear instantly as Viridi’s voice booms through the arena, “While I would normally not care about either of you two, we have a show to run! And because Hades ruined everything like normal you two need to be in top physical condition to give each other a good fight! Now drink up so we can see some blood!” Pit and Link both take a drink as their wounds heal completely. Link grabs a mask as a chest falls out of the sky and Pit kicks it open. The real battle has finally begun…

(If rooting for Pit, Cue: Kid Icarus Uprising - The War’s End)
Both at their most powerful, Link as the Fierce Deity, and Pit wearing the Three Sacred Treasures. Pit starts firing multiple Arrows of Light as if it were a chain as Link grabs his giant blade and blocks the attacks with it. Pit keeps rapid firing while getting in closer as Link keeps blocking and dodging most of the attacks.
Pit fires multiple giant lasers from the sky as Link keeps running and dodging them all. Pit keeps firing lasers and a few more arrows as they start to hit Link more consistently slowing him down a bit causing him fatigue. Pit rushes up as Link swings at him with his blade as the angel blocks with the Mirror Shield.
Pit keeps firing as Link keeps swinging as Pit seems to be using his mobility and speed to an advantage, until. With one powerful clash, the Mirror Shield broke. Shortly after with a couple other swings the rest of the Treasures broke until Pit was knocked down, bleeding slightly from the blows. Link starts rushing and jumps upward pointing his blade downward. Pit very weakly grabs the First Blade as a last line of defense. Link is falling down towards his opponent as Pit is looking up at the Hero with the First Blade ready…
SLASH!
A giant dust cloud forms up as Link’s boots hit the ground… As the dust clears the twin bladed sword has struck Pit, giving him a deep gash in his torso, but it hit nothing vital. Pit is very much in pain, thinking it is the end, until he opens his eyes as a single drop of blood falls on his tunic. He looks up to see that he has done it! The First Blade has impaled Link through the chest making him bleed heavily.
Link returns to normal as the Mask falls off his face and the blade disappears as Link’s body slumps down without life. Pit gets his fallen opponent off of him removing the blade while heavily gripping his wound. Pit then quickly turned towards the audience making his fingers form a V like shape as he shouts out one word with a huge grin, “VICTORY!”
K.O!
Pit’s wounds are completely healed as Link is revived and completely healed as well. Both the heroes turn towards each other and shake hands as a sign of respect.
Results[]

Sun: Wait… What? He did it! HE DID IT!
Soul: This battle was a close call with each side giving it their all. But in the end, Pit barely managed to take a win.
Homura: Link may have had superior lifting strength, and could reflect Pit’s light based attacks, but that was not enough to keep him down.
Soul: Yeah, While both can dodge arrows light and lasers, etc., Pit could pilot the lightning chariot with barely any experience. Letting him have the edge in speed.
Sun: And while Link did beat Majora, who could casually bring down a moon… That moon is smaller than a normal moon so the feat with Majora is more similar to when Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong brought down the moon.
Soul: Not to mention Pit was able to beat Pyrrhon, who could move an object of similar mass to a farther distance, in less time.
Homura: While Link’s strategy gives him a huge edge in intelligence, he normally has a hard time fighting opponents who blitz him, making him have a tough time with someone like Pit who prefers to keep his range the rushing in to deal some quick blows.
Soul: Stasis may have giving Link a huge hax advantage, Stasis does not actually last that long when used on an enemy. And in all honesty there is a probability that Pit might be able to slightly resist it, considering he is able to resist the pull of miniature black holes.
Sun: Defense clearly goes to Link due to the Hylian Shield being unable to break, but Pit’s superior range and speed could take care of that quickly.
Soul: The only category that is tricky to decide is experience, as Link has been reincarnated multiple times, but only has a lifespan of around 100 years for every incarnation. While Pit however is centuries of years old. While he is only 14 in angel years, their years are far more spaced than any normal human’s life, as said by Palutena that comparing Ike from Fire Emblem to them in age, he is only a baby.
Sun: With all these advantages said out, Pit narrowly takes this. No matter how these two are Pitted against each other, the Hero of Hyrule is Linked to a loss.
Soul: The winner is Pit.

Legend of Zelda vs Kid Icarus! In the battle between of Nintendo's chosen warriors of light, who shall come out on top?
Intro[]
Wiz: When darkness is coming your way, who do you call to save the day?
Boomstick: These two, of course! Chosen by goddesses, utilizing in mainly holy weapons and having questionable ages, it's these two who defintely get the job done!
Wiz: Link, the Hero of Hyrule.
Boomstick: And Pit, the Hero of...Heaven? Where the hell is he from again?
Wiz: Skyworld. Anyway, even though these two have fought before, we won't be counting that as - 1: It was a Smash Bros trailer, so it isn't canon and 2 - Palutena interrupted during the fight, and as we all know, there's no outside help in Death Battles.
Boomstick: With that out of the way, he's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to anaylze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Link[]
Wiz: Link is the multi-reincarnated hero of Hyrule, defeating the forces of evil for over 10 generations. He's battled legions of masters, met hundreds of different side characters; some much better than others and explored through thousands of different areas and lands during his adventures.
Boomstick: He's even been through a place called Death Mountain! Seriously, how does that not ring any bells for him?
Wiz: Since there are far too many Links to handle, we'll be using Link at his composite. In his composite form, Link has far much weaponry to work with. His main weapon throughout his reincarnations is his Master Sword, crafted by the goddess of light Hylia herself.
Boomstick: Thanks to that, it's completely indestructible! Also great for repelling bad guys when they're getting annoying. I feel you, Link. I hate it when they do that.
Wiz: The sword is more than just that, Boomstick. Although Link is great at using it as a weapon, it also has projectile properties inside of it, allowing Link to shoot energy called the Sword Beam, or the Skyward Strike. He can also perform the Spin Attack, where he spins around in a circle hitting anything nearby, which is one of his most common attacks. With his Hylian Shield, which is an indestructible shield he wields, they make a deadly duo.
Boomstick: He also seems to be quite a collector of medallions. For example, his Bombos medallion allows him to shoot fire, the Ether medallion allows him to freeze his enemies and the Quake lets him...create earthquakes. That one must've took a lot of thought.
Wiz: And when the sword isn't enough to get the job done, he's also got various other weapons with him as well. His boomerang can be thrown up to 5 times. It not only can hit enemies from afar, but it also can surprisingly pull them towards Link using its wind properties. It can even neutralize projectiles.
Boomstick: But when he's feeling especially angry, he can just bomb the living crap out of anything in his way! Whether he kicks them, throws them, places them around like mines or just plays hot potato with someone, it always ends the same...for the most part. He's probably screwed up a few times, though.
Wiz: His Hero's Bow, his other go to weapon, lets him shoot not just Arrows of Light, but also arrows made of fire, arrows made of ice and arrows of silver.
Boomstick: He sounds like he'd be a great member of Arrow-Smith! Get it, Arrow-Smith...Aerosmith?...C'mon, I thought that was funny!
Wiz: Ugh....he also can completely pull a move from Scorpion and use his Hookshot to hook onto things and bring them to him. He's also quite a master in magic as well. He can use various spells to heal himself like Fire, which lets him shoot fire beams from his sword. He also has Life, which heals himself, Jump which lets him jump higher and Reflect which lets him reflect projectiles.
Boomstick: Remember what I said about him collecting Medallions? He also seems very fond of collecting boots as well! He's got the Pegasus Boots, which allow him to move incredibly fast, the Hover Boots give him a short amount of flight and the Iron Boots make him heavier. Has he ever considered starting his own clothing brand?
Wiz: Speaking of clothing, Link also seems to like using masks. Some of these masks include the Goron Mask, which turns him into a Goron, the Zora mask which turns him into a Zora, the Mask of Truth lets him read others's minds. However, his most powerful mask is easily the Fierce Diety Mask, which makes him not only turn grey and black, but lets him shoot lasers all over the place.
Boomstick: Now we're talking! Where can I get one of those?
Wiz: Link's achieved great feats. He's defeated Ganondorf, the reincarnated King of Evil multiple times, even when he was fully powered by all the Triforce pieces. He's even defeated the precursor of Ganondorf, Demise, and bears one of the three Triforce pieces on his hand, being the Triforce of Courage. He's even able to lift boulders and throw around armored Gorons with ease.
Boomstick: However, there are some faults he has. For example, his Sword Beam can't be used once he takes a hit, meaning it's probably useless for most of his fights. Also, as weird as this sounds, there was a timeline where Ganondorf did kill Link, despite his best efforts. Which is called the Downfall Timeline. Oh well, I'm sure Zelda could always just clap him back to life if he died!
Wiz: Boomstick, we talked about this. He isn't a fairy!

Wiz: Pit was originally just a young angel boy from the cleverly titled "Angel Land", who was trapped in the Underworld. Given a magical bow from the goddess of light Palutena, he was sent to defeat Medusa and escape from there once and for all.
Boomstick: It should be no brainer but he succeeded alright..until she came back again. And then came back about 25 years later. Dang, has he really only had 3 games? That's kinda depressing.
Pit: Tell me about it! It's boring just sitting in the dark all the time!
Boomstick: Whoa, holy shit! How the hell did you get in here? I thought I locked the door last night!
Pit: You really think a door's gonna stop me? Have you seen the stuff I've done? I could practically break through a thousand doors!
Wiz: Oh great, another 4th wall breaking character. Listen, Pit, if you don't mind, we were just discussing what your weapons and abilities were going to be. Can you please leave?
Pit: No way! What better person to talk about myself than myself? I can explain it all for you! You see, Lady Palutena gave me all sorts of cool weaponry to make pancakes out of Underworld chumps! I've got this great bow that shoots arrows of light, for example! Plus, the coolest part being it can turn into swords as well! Two of them, may I add.
Boomstick: That does sound pretty cool! You know, if you're gonna stand here and just 4th wall break us, why not explain everything else you can do yourself? I could just sit back and enjoy myself for a while!
Pit: You want me to clean your dishes and do your laundry too?
Boomstick: Was that sarcasm?
Pit: Maybe....
Boomstick: Alright, that's it! Get out of here! I'll shoot you with my ol' 47 if you don't get it! I'm not gonna stand here and let some questionably aged angel mess around with me! Save that for your opponent!
Pit: Ah, don't shoot! I'm leaving, I'm leaving!
Boomstick: That's more like it! Now, back on track, Pit also has a plethora of other weaponry too, including his Violent Palm, which sticks on to his hand and lets him shoot projectiles at his opponents.
Wiz: His Ore Club lets him send tornadoes towards his enemies the more times he swings it at them, the Upperdash Arm lets him send enemies flying away once he dashes up to them and his Guardian Orbitars allow him to reflect projectiles back at him. However, if the projectile is too strong, it'll break his Orbitars instantly.
Boomstick: Pit, like his opponent, has plenty of magical properties too. For example, the Black Hole attack allows Pit to summon a black hole to pull his enemies in towards him. The Bumblebee attack lets him disappear and reappear behind his opponent for an attack. Why is it named Bumblebee though? When could bumblebees do something like this?
Wiz: Beats me, it's just a name. Pit also has the Eggplant/Tampura attack, which allows him to temporarily convert his enemy into an eggplant or a tampura shrimp for a little while. No, I'm not making this up.
Boomstick: Wait, so you're saying an angel can just walk around and turn you into a piece of shrimp? The developers must've been high or something when they made this!
Wiz: No kidding. Moving on, the Effect Recovery allows Pit to heal from Minor Wounds, the Explosive Flame allows Pit to create an expanding fireball that explodes, the Power Thief lets him steal one of his enemy's abilities for a short amount of time, the Meteor Shower lets Pit rain meteors on his enemies and the Reflect Barrier does exactly what you think it does.
Boomstick: Jesus Christ, they really were high! But if we're gonna bring up what Pit can do, let's not forget his most powerful ability: The Three Sacred Treasures. Combining the Arrow of Light, the Wings of Pegasus and the Mirror Shield, Pit gets the ability to not only fly but comes equipped with far stronger arrows too. And probably really expensive armor he's wearing.
Wiz: Despite being so left behind compared to his other Nintendo protagonists Mario and Kirby, Pit still has achieved feats. For example, he's defeated countless gods, like Hades, Viridi, Medusa, destroyed the Aurum Hive, survived being hit by islands from Palutena, and has even defeated the immortal Phoenix.
Boomstick: As great as these sound, Pit honestly didn't do most of these by himself. Most of time, he usually gets help from Palutena. This is pretty much attributed to why he's won so many of these battles he would probably normally lose on his own.
Wiz: It doesn't help that Pit can't fly, he's very cocky and he's...pretty stupid too. He's not stupid in terms of fighting, but he lacks common sense and he can't even read for crying out loud.
Boomstick: Wait, he's illiterate? How the hell? I learned how to read when I was in preschool! Pit's probably in his 20's or something by now! Well, whatever age Pit may be, you can't deny that he's pretty worthy of being the captain of Palutena's army.....wait, he's a captain? I have some serious questions.
Wiz: Boomstick, let's just move on.
Pit: In the name of the goddess Palutena, the defender of all that is good... Those who hide in the darkness will be made to face the light!
Palutena: Fly, Pit!
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
Fight[]
In the middle of a green battlefield, a certain Hylian with a sword was seen preparing to set up camp here. This was Link, not much of a surprise there, was it? Speaking of surprises; while Link had been setting up camp, a sudden beam of light appeared. Out coming from the beam of light was an angel, this being Pit. What was he doing here? Who knows. Link looked over in curiousity.
Pit: Well, this is just great! How am I supposed to find this "Triforce" piece if I don't even have any direction where I'm going! Thanks a lot, Lady Palutena! Ugh....
He looked over, recognizing Link in the distance.
Pit: Whoa! Link, is that you? Hey, man, how's it been going? You know where I am?
Link simply shrugged. In fact, he looked puzzled at how Pit even knew his name.
Pit: You're not much of a talker, are you? Gosh, this is gonna be awkward. Um...can you write it out..wait, dang it, I can't read! Um....can you do sign language?
Link just looked in disbelief, thinking Pit was some kind of crazy person. He simply began to walk away, preparing to pack his camping supplies away. This, of course, got Pit mad.
Pit: What're you doing? You can't just ignore me like that! I need answers, here! Just say something already! What kind of person goes around without talking to others? It's weird!
Link just ignored Pit, contuining what he was doing. Now Pit was ESPECIALLY mad.
Pit: OK! That's it! You wanna play that game? Fine! If you're not gonna give me answers, I'll just have to beat them out of you!
Pit pulled out his Bow and shot an arrow at Link, who ducked last second. He turned around and grabbed his Master Sword and Shield, before this time facing Pit. The two were preparing to fight over probably the weirdest reason possible.
FIGHT!
Pit spins his bow around to make himself look threatening, before splitting it apart and swinging one of his blades at Link. Link blocks the attack with his shield before swinging his sword at Pit in return, who blocked with his other blade. With his free left hand, Pit swung at Link's head, attempting to go for a neck shot. However, Link ducked last second, catching Pit off guard with a surprise Spin Attack, sending the angel captain sliding a few feet back.
Pit: Ugh...you're tougher than I thought. Not like it matters, anyway! One way or another, you're gonna gimme answers...and face the light! Most importantly the latter!
Pit put his bow back together, now firing Light Arrows towards Link's direction. Link quickly equipped the Pegasus Boots, outrunning the Arrows with ease before running up towards Pit's direction and punching him right in the jaw with his Golden Gauntlets. He proceeds to hit Pit with an uppercut, sending him flying upwards. While Pit was in the air, Link pulled out his Hookshot and fired at Pit's leg, hitting him right on and slamming him into the ground. While Pit was down, Link jumped at him with a downwards strike, which Pit avoided in the nick of time.
While Link was open, Pit ran up to Link with his Upperdash Arm in hand, hitting Link and sending him a bit back. While Link was in the air, Pit used a bit of his Power of Flight to go after him and slash him a few more times, before attempting to slam him down into the ground. Before this could happen, Link put on the Hover Boots, getting flight as well and using Fire, sending beams of fire from his sword towards the young angel's direction. He easily reflected them away using his Orbitars as the two landed back on the ground.
Pit: You call those flames? I've seen hotter fire come from a candle! I'll show you what a REAL flame can do! Take this!
Pit equipped his Violent Palm, rapidly firing projectiles towards Link's direction. Link dodged a few of the projectiles, but some caught him off guard, hurting him a bit. Taking this opportunity, Pit proceeded to activate the Bumblebee spell, teleporting right behind Link and slashing him in the back with one of his Bow blades, before kicking him down. While Link was on the ground, Pit pointed one of his blades at him cockily.
Pit: Nothing to it! Once again, the light prevails over all! Now, are you gonna confess or what?
Just then, a ticking sound could be heard behind Pit. He looked confused, wondering where it was coming from.
Pit: Is it just me or do I hear something going off?
Pit turned around, before seeing that Link had planted a Bomb right next to him. His eyes widened in shock, but before he could do anything, the bomb went off and blasted him down. Springing back to his feet, Pit saw Link running full speed at him with a sword slash, moving to the side before retaliating with his own blade swing. Pit eventually got an idea and reconnected his bow back together before spinning it around in a circle. He started rapidly spinning it towards Link, who stepped back from the blade and jumped behind Pit, shooting a Fire Arrow right into his back. Pit yelped in pain, before turning around and proceeding to shoot EZ Cannon shots at Link, aiming for his chest section. Link, however, reflected them away with his shield before he continued his assault of Fire Arrows towards Pit. Pit's wings got hit by the fire, catching them ablaze as he ran around in circles screaming.
Pit: AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! My wings, my wings, my wings, my wings! Lady Palutena, help, help, help!
Link just watched as Pit continued running around in circles comedically. Eventually, he leaped into a convenient hot spring, healing himself and his wings. He stepped out of it, sighing in relief, before pointing his weapon towards Link again.
Pit: Okay, that's it! First you don't tell me where to go; then you hit me in my wings with burning arrows?! I've gotta stop you at all costs! Which is exactly why I'm busting out these! Have a look for yourself! Three Sacred Treasures, activate!
A beam of light hit Pit right on, turning him into Three Sacred Treasures Pit. Link, seeing as this was basically a transformation game, puts on Goron Mask and proceeds to perform a roll attack towards Pit, attempting to slam into the angel. Pit, however, easily exploded from a shot from his arrows, sending Link down. Pit then dashed full speed up towards Link, slashing him rapidly back and forth. Pit prepared to finally finish off his opponent, but Link once again countered with his sword.
Striking back with his Fierce Diety Link slashed Pit's Bow right off his hands, causing him to look in shock as how swiftly Link did it. Before Pit knew it, he was hit right in the stomach by a spiral beam of energy, sending him sliding back even more. Pit stared in annoyance, before attempting to grab his bow once more. However, in a minute's notice, Link had cut off his own hands with just one slash! Pit was about to scream in pain from this, but just before he could even do that, another powerful slash from Link chopped the angel right in half, before his remaining body parts were destroyed by a spiral beam of energy. It was safe to say: Pit wasn't coming back.
KO!
Link's mask wears off as he collapses on the ground in exhaustion.
The news of Pit's death reaches Skyworld, which allows Hades and Medusa to easily take over now with Pit gone.

Boomstick: That can't be good.
Wiz: While Pit was far faster than Link and his impressive weaponry could certainly keep Link on his toes, he didn't have much else to work off of besides those two advantages. Link was simply just far too strong for Pit to handle. Remember, most of Pit's best victories come from Palutena or Viridi's aid. By himself, Pit isn't exactly the smartest and relies more on simply slashing and bashing his enemies rather than strategizing like Link does, making his fighting style much more vulnerable.
Boomstick: Pit's defeated Hades before, sure, but that was with a giant robot! Link's defeated Ganondorf and Demise with nothing but his bare weaponry and magic! And you may be asking, "But Wiz, couldn't Pit just turn Link into an eggplant or instantly kill him?"
Wiz: No, he couldn't. Link has an immunity to magic attacks thanks to his Reflect spell. This spell can block any attack, even if it's an unblockable one, meaning that Pit's eggplant/tempura or Insta-Kill spells would be completely harmless against Link. This also means that Pit couldn't copy any of Link's attacks either. With all of Pit's magic basically rendered useless, he really didn't offer anything that Link hasn't personally dealt with before.
Boomstick: I guess you could say that this angel was Pit-iful compared to Link, eh Wiz? Heh heh heh!
Wiz: Ugh...that was your worst one yet. Anyway, the winner's Link.
