History[]
Raised in the small town of Kuroyuri outside of Mistral, Lie Ren lost his parents to a Grimm attack at a young age, and befriended a young Nora Valkyrie when he saved her with his Semblance. Since then, the pair have stuck together, and eventually were accepted into Beacon Academy, where the both of them joined team JNPR. Since Beacon fell, Ren has joined the remaining members of his team with Ruby Rose on a long trek to Haven Academy, where Ren faces demons from his childhood along the way.

- Semblance: Abilitiy to hide himself and others nearby from creatures of Grimm through masking emotions. As of "War", his Semblance evolves further and lets him see the emotional states of the Ace-Ops.

- Held a King Taitiju back by the fangs using his bare hands and killed said Grimm.
- Punched a King Taijitu in the face so that its head exploded
- Briefly held his own against Yang in hand-to-hand combat
- Dodged sniper fire while sprinting towards the source
- Successfully disarmed Nolan Porfirio.
- Could sense Tyrian's presence despite not seeing nor hearing him approaching.
- Tanked hits from and killed a Nuckelavee Grimm, and avenged his parents' death.
- Survived punches and electrocution from a dust-enhanced Hazel Rainart.
- Helped defend Atlas and Mantle's borders during the set-up of Amity Communications Tower.
- Held his own with team JNR and Oscar Pine when fighting Neopolitan.

- Not many good showings in battle
- Not very durable to attacks
- Attacks are more impulsive and reckless if he is angry (as seen with the fight against the Nuckleavee Grimm)
