History[]
Lana Kane is the daughter of Lemuel and Claudette Kane. Her father is a biochemist and her mother a professor of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. As a young woman, she attended an anti-fur protest, and was going to throw red paint on Malory Archer’s fur coat, when the woman pulled out a pistol and pointed it at her forehead. While the rest of the mob fled in panic, Lana stood her ground, refusing to be intimidated by the woman. Malory Archer was so impressed with Lana that she immediately offered her a position at ISIS (the International Secret Intelligence Service).
At some point, Lana began a relationship with Sterling Archer, a fellow ISIS agent, and son of Malory Archer. Eventually, though, Lana terminated the relationship, both because of Sterling’s infidelities and because of his unusually dependent relationship with his mother. After that time, Lana began a relationship with the ISIS comptroller, Cyril Figgis, but that relationship also foundered due to Cyril’s infidelities.

Lana is a 32 year old African-American female who stands 5’11” tall. She has brown hair and green eyes. Her preferred outfit is a white turtleneck sweater dress, which she accessorizes with a black belt, thigh-high black books and a pair of TEC-9s in black shoulder holsters.
One of Lana’s distinguishing features is her somewhat large and strong hands. She is sometimes made fun of because of her hands, being referred to as “Truckasaurus” and “Monster Hands.”
Powers and Abilities[]
- Marksman - She is a marksman with the TEC-9s. Once, at the shooting range, she used one of her machine pistols to shoot a cursive ‘L’ into a target.
- Martial artist - Lana is a trained martial artist. Like all other ISIS agents, she is trained in Krav Maga, the martial arts technique developed by the Israel Defense Force, and used by the Mossad.
Weapons and Equipment[]
Lana carries two Intratec TEC-9s in shoulder holsters; she refers to them as “the twins.” The TEC-9 is a 9mm semi-automatic machine pistol that appear to have been modified (probably by Dr. Krieger) to be able to also fire in fully-automatic mode. She keeps fifty-round magazines in the weapons, but when under pressure she has a tendency to fire the weapons until they are empty, earning her the nickname (never said to her face!) of “Spray-and-Pray.”
