The King of Fighters VS Sonic IDW!!
Two cybernetically enhanced arrogant and loud-mouthed rivals made to utterly defeat the hero of their world will clash!! How will Krohnen's flames stand against Surge's lightning?!
Disclaimer: I will be mainly using IDW scaling, as for now, Surge herself isn't completely confirmed to be a canon immigrant towards the games despite the mentions from Sonic Frontiers about certain characters being within the lore. Sticking with simply the comics also helps this matchup stand out from regular Sonic matchups as well, as it focuses entirely on a segment of the Sonic franchise that many may be unfamiliar with.

Wiz: When the world needs a hero, more often than not, they’ll receive one. But if the antagonists just so happen to be as persistent as the good they face, they’ll make their own counter to cause destruction rather than peace.
Boomstick: But hey! What happens when those counters end up rebelling against their own creators?! What if they wanna forge their own life, while still being mega-pissed off while doing so?

Boomstick: And Surge the Tenrec, the Lightning-Quick Impostor from the IDW Sonic the Hedgehog Comics! He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!
Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win… a Death Battle!

- Both are cyborgs were created and experimented on to act as the ultimate counters to the main hero of their worlds, with an intense hatred for them to boot. They both have fabricated memories at the hands of their "creators", whom they later betray. Due to being made to battle their original rivals, they've gained an aspect of the original characters as a part of their own move set, but have their own flair to it that sets it apart. They have the personalities of the original protagonists if they were even more cocky and brash, with an added dash of arrogance. They hate being ordered around by authority figures and follow their own path. Despite their attitudes, both have a partner who they genuinely have a friendship with that they travel with, and mellow over time thanks to them.
